Unleäded Fängs – Minecraft 1.18 | Fortunate Enchantment | Let’s Play Episode: 3

Hello everyone my name is fangs and welcome back  to the let’s play series we’re here for episode   three and there is no fancy intro today  but you know i want to try and do those uh  

Quite often cause i enjoy them but today oops i  took a screenshot we’ve got stuff to do um first   off i did mine the obsidian so i’m just going to  go ahead and quickly build this portal because  

Guys we have a lot to do today and i’ve got to  get it all in this video and it’s going to take me   a little while so we’ve built another portal you  got to put your corners in you know you don’t want  

The you don’t want chipped corners would you like  chipped corners on anything else the answer is no   okay so um we gotta start off by lighting this  up and we’re gonna go to the nether because we  

Need to obtain soul sand and some other stuff and  i’ve got some big projects coming up not big but   just fun little projects  as you can see there are uh   six million cows over there and there are  apparently cows breaking containment so  

That’s kind of interesting i wonder if the baby  grows up under the carpet and then pops out   well we’ll have to be careful of that we’re gonna  have to go over there and kill them later but  

We’re gonna need all that leather but for now we  go into the nether and see what it has to offer well uh not what i was hoping for okay we do have  crimson uh we have crimson nilium over there so  

That’s good this is actually a very old  looking nether way i just thought about   the fact that the new world limits constrain  to the nether as well probably that’s gonna be   super cool the new height of the nether maybe  i wonder if that was specifically an overworld  

Change or if we now have like more space in the  nether might have to check that out at some point also it’s really weird to be running  around a christmas sweater in hell  

But um you know we’re doing it i guess i will grab  the quartz as i see it but this is gonna be bad   we’re looking for soul sand and um uh we’re  gonna have to travel quite far i’m thinking and i want to keep bearings to the portal so  

It was basically zero zero if  i get to there i can find it also i’m coming with a half broken shovel so  it’s not the smartest thing i’ve oh sweet okay   soul sand is not gonna be a problem okay so we  have access to a soul sand biome right here as  

Well as a very small nylium uh area so this is  pretty good we can grab this nice crimson stem   um i don’t think it’s called i think  nilium is what this is but i don’t   remember what this stuff’s called uh i think  it’s just netherroot or whatever crimson root

And we also have the soul soil as compared to the  soul sand i kind of forgot about that actually   um even though i played during 1.16 i didn’t  really like play minecraft in a hardcore manner i was uh really lacking during like  probably i’ve not really played since  

Probably before the villager update so that was  like 114 i probably last time i really played   was during the aquatic update when i built my  ocean monument which for those of you familiar   on my stream is my be right back screen um  i’ll try and plop an image of it over this  

Right now um so hopefully there’ll be a image of  the ocean monument there and it’s like final form   it was pretty cool um was about a 250 diameter  circle in the ocean drained to bedrock and took   a couple weeks to get like that part of the  project done but i’m really disappointed i  

Never finished it because it was really really  really nice and it’d be super cool to see it done   maybe we’ll have to build it on this world  sometime okay so we made it back from the nether  

We have 47 soul sand that’s more than enough for  what we’re doing um so to start things off the   first thing i want to do is start getting access  waves up to the base here because this is kind of  

Like the central starter core of the base i guess  um how did that horse get there what the heck um   but basically this waterway over here that’s  you know that’s not cool enough it’s not cool  

Um i don’t know what we’re gonna do for this side  because i think we’ll build something over there   and have it like a two-part system to get up  here and we’re also going to build out and all   of that’s experimental but over here um i would  actually like to build like something overhanging  

Right here like out here that’s a water  elevator or something that hangs over the ledge   but um for now i think we’ll go ahead and add a  like elevator like right here-ish um we’ll line  

It up with this and just kind of go down maybe  like right here because this is in the heart of   the mountain so if i change my mind i can just  you know cut it out and scrap it later and we  

Can pretty easily dig out over here and that’ll  give us an elevator up into the base for now   um which will be way faster than going there  um it’s also closer over here i can just build   like a lily pad road across like somewhere  right here or even a bridge eventually and  

Yeah so we got to go down to about 64. which is  quite a bit of a ways down and here we are at 64.   so i just need to dig this way until  we’re out of the mountain which hopefully  

Isn’t too far i think it’s probably like 20 blocks  at most but this is why eventually i want to build   it outside of the mountain like overhanging it  so that way i can access it way easier but i also  

Have to figure out what the heck that’ll look  like because it’s going to kind of look awkward and bam there we go oh so it’s like okay we’re gonna have to fix how that waterfall  comes down so that way we can just easily access  

This but i think that’ll work fairly well  so now i actually need to go and find an   ocean because i just remembered i  need kelp and i don’t have any so   yeah i didn’t quite think this one through i  don’t think i’m gonna be lucky enough for any  

To grow over here oh wait i am sweet okay all  right we’ll go ahead and just chop off a bunch   of this because we’re going to need we need to  be able to hit the top of the mountain with this

Now we’ll just swim around and collect this  and basically what this is going to do is   allow us to create source water blocks  all the way up to the top of the hill   um because it can be hard otherwise you’d have to  place every single source block with a bucket and  

What this allows us to do is place one source at  the very top and then we’re just gonna kelp up to   it which will create source blocks everywhere  going up because help creates um source blocks   for whatever reason that’s just how it works  and that would have been a way simpler way of  

Explaining it so all right we dropped the water in  and uh i should have attempted to beat the water   and instead of swimming oh well i definitely beat  the water so uh yeah how’s your day going my day’s  

Going uh you know getting porcupined by skeletons  so uh yeah we managed to kill everything off and   get back to here um we have a lot of creeper  blasts so that’s kind of unlucky but uh is what  

It is i don’t even have enough dirt to refill this  area but yeah um i’m also gonna have to bring some   signs down here and post this up so that way it  all looks right and works but for now we just need  

To get in here in the pitch black darkness and  plant some kelp and we have to slowly grow it up and we have to not drown while doing this which i will just manage to make it nice okay  so that should be source blocks of water all  

The way to the top i’m going to go ahead and grab  a torch real quick and then get back down there   okay so we light up the cave here that  way we can actually see what we’re doing  

And then we’ll place a sign there and a sign  there and it annoys me that they both say ah there we go and um we’ll just double soul ah no i  need to uh there that’ll bother people i like that  

It’ll bother people so now in theory we should  have an instant way up to the base so there we   go way better than uh what we’re doing over there  so we’ve got one of these installed here now we’re  

Going to go ahead and change focus over to the  zombie farm because uh i died and i had 30 levels   i was ready to enchant my diamond pickaxe and yeah  just my my own uh my own stupidity made me die  

So yeah zombie farm it is okay so back at the  zombie farm we need to build a water elevator here   now in order to build this we need the zombie  to go up and fall 22 blocks to be a one hit kill  

Because i believe um depending on how zombies  function it’s either 23 or 24 blocks to one hit   kill them and um since this is since they’re gonna  have feather falling boots and um this zombies are  

Not that efficient i’m not gonna be too critical  on it um so i’m gonna go for a 22 block fall   and we’ll see how that works out so we need to  figure out how high it is down here and then go up  

From here so here we’re at 43 so we’re gonna have  to go up to 65 probably okay so if we want this to   work right this has to go up to 65 um which is  gonna be a little bit awkward i’m assuming it’s  

Gonna go above ground maybe not maybe this just  is dirt patch um but we’re gonna find out here oh   it’s just it’s just by a little too so it’s just  literally gonna be the top of the entire farm like  

We’ll have to figure out a unique way to hide this  maybe just a little custom hill here or something   um oh it’s right by the initial crevice that we  fell down into the zombie spawner okay so this  

Is 65 so this is where the zombie needs to go over  and it needs to fall down right here is how i have   it set up um that is a little bit awkward so we’re  gonna have to come up with a chamber like this

And um we can probably get away with just  bringing it like this um then the water   actually needs to be back here so this has  to be like this don’t need these i guess   um we’re gonna have to have the water  flow over so we do this for now do that  

And then have this stop here okay so once we have  this um this is going to push them and drop them   off this 65 which is 22 blocks down so i’m gonna  go ahead and mine those out take some fall damage  

And now the big thing is is we actually need to  just grab water and let it rain down from up there   um we’ll go ahead and remove all this soul sand  because we will have to do the kelp trick here  

As well and you can’t plant kelp on top of the  soul sand so you actually have to get rid of that   which is a really weird thing i’m not sure why it  is um because soul sand is just another block i  

Guess it’s because it’s not a green block that  a plant can’t grow on it i’m not really sure   outside of that why it would be that you can’t  do that and i needed to be up there oops as for  

How we’re going to do this section i think  my like best idea is going to be so they’ll   fall down we’ll hit them there um i think  we’re going to do like a trapdoor series up so have like this and i think that’ll make a  really nice uh like gradient between the purple  

And the spruce and i think that’ll look really  good and then we’ll also do the same for the water   elevators here on the side we’ll just do that  and then we’ll have maybe we don’t even put i was  

Thinking acacia trap doors here but i kind of like  the idea of just letting this be like that i mean   i think that’ll look really cool so yeah  we’re just going to let it be um but now  

We have to go ahead and what what’s going  on here oh we need to put the signs in   there we go um go ahead and destroy  those oh wait i mean is that better i feel like that’s like kind of cool but  also not better so we’ll let it drain away  

And place that back in oh no you were definitely   slower before which is that is a big problem  of being slower here you don’t want that   um so now we’ll just have to kelp this up  uh zombies and players have the same hp so

Okay that did not seem like the proper amount  of damage i’m really hoping i didn’t screw up   my mouth okay we’re gonna find out though time  to place the soul sand in and bust these torches

Bam soul sand no problems please and i’m gonna  oh no i’m gonna die no i fully didn’t think   about what i was doing oh no okay i managed to  get back down here and get all my stuff and um  

Yeah the zombies are flowing in we’ll see  what this is like here um i’m gonna have   to get spruce and fix all this up and get  the trapdoors in and all that stuff but um wow that is that is they’re not even remotely low  

Okay we’re gonna have to go  even higher with that i wonder i thought it was 20 22 blocks how the heck is that  like not doing any damage to them at all so uh i  

Kind of figured out what was going on and uh yeah  a lot of you guys probably figured it out before   me um i i did my math really badly so i did i did  23 blocks from down there on the ground now i bet  

Yeah they’re they’re basically as good as you can  get zombies because zombies are like iffy on if   you can one hit them so two hits considered normal  um yeah so if you’re wondering what happened i  

Just did the math from down there instead of here  and it’s one block above here so i need to do 50   plus 23 um that was about a 15 block difference  from what i did so yeah do your math right when  

You do math and take your measurements from the  correct spot it saves a ton of time but the zombie   farm is operational um i do whoa who are you and  what are you doing that must have been a wild  

Walker from up there i need to seal that up and  we’re gonna have to add a flusher real quick so   i’m gonna have to go get the wood stuff for that  but that should make it so we’re one-shotting  

Pretty much everything yeah so we can get a ton of  xp now we do need to add a flusher system because   that is actually killing the farm from over 50  i believe um i think a long time ago ill mango  

Made a video talking about spawner ratios and  putting a slab on it or when a mob is standing   there and i think the numbers were something  like 75 of total mob spawns were reduced by that  

So we do want to be careful about that take that  in consideration um so i do need to go ahead and   install it it’s not hard to do at all i will go  ahead and show you guys so let me go grab the  

Material for it okay so if you’re having this same  problem i’m having if you don’t know how to fix it   yourself um basically what you have to do is you  have to cradle this and the way we’re gonna flush  

Them off here is i’m gonna push them this way due  to how i’m gonna run the tripwire hook um so the   tripwire hook has to go across one block above  this right so um it’s going to be this block here  

And this block here now i’m going to recess it in  the wall because a tripwire hook is supposed to   um block a mob from spawning now i don’t know if  that actually like does anything or if it has any  

Impact on the farm’s overall stability but because  i’m trying to make this as efficient as possible   i don’t want something really silly and simple  being a major decrease in production for my farm   um so what i’m going to do is go ahead and place  this tripwire hook here and i think um redstone  

Dust on top of it will get the signal’s strength  um i am going to have to confirm that here though   so we’ll place a piece of redstone dust there um  that will activate the tripwire hook and we can’t  

Have a beam of water drop down right  on top of the i don’t want it that way   i’m gonna be very specific on how i build this but  um basically we need a fence gate here open it up  

So that way it doesn’t block any of the spawn  this is going to be the cradle for the water um   so let’s go ahead and close it so we can stand on  it so we need to have one here right there i mean  

Delete that one we’ll place a block here have one  on each side of this block here this is creating   the cradle for the water so the water is going to  fall out of this block right here straight down and before i continue on  we’ll check that i do it right

Yes that’s going to work perfectly so  now we need fence posts here and here   um and then we need a trap door right here  i’m gonna go ahead and place a torch up there  

And kind of guesstimate what track it is so it’s  108 um so we need to dig out to there and then   we need a fence gate here as well to prevent the  water from falling down um so if we come over here

And i don’t want to break that but i guess we’re  going to so we know it’s 108 is where we gotta go hopefully i can do this without  needing a repeater oh wait oops bad

And we also can’t have torches up here or they’ll  bleed through the trapdoor so what we do is we   run redstone dust along here like so um we break  this torch and then we’re going to waterlog the  

Trapdoor now what will happen is the trapdoor will  open and close when the tripwire hook is triggered   now i’m basically blocking off this so that  way mobs can’t spawn up here on the redstone um   because zombies could spawn here and then it would  be too high and then all that mess up everything  

So we want to just prevent that by going ahead  and you know making it so stuff can’t spawn there   placing this it is super dark and i apologize  for that um i’m trying to figure out a better  

Way of filming in complete darkness when doing  this but i’m not really sure what i could do   so the tripwire hook is behind each thing i  really should have made that an amethyst block   okay for everybody including myself we’ll go  ahead and break that block make it an amethyst  

And then um apparently i don’t  have another tripwire hook so oh i did i just didn’t see him now we need to grab the string and build it across  just to the tripwire hooks now they’re connected that’ll then push them off so really  that is how simple this really is um  

It’s not a complicated thing at all and  the reason why i took it that way is that   way i could keep my observation window here  but that is all you have to do that blocks   zero spawning spaces and if a mob spawns on  top of the spawner it will flush them off  

And we’ll go ahead and seal this up  and now we can just kill these guys two swings of the sword we got a bunch of  xp and overall that’s all you need to make   a spawner pretty efficient um we can have this  area lit up due to the tinted glass we can see  

Everything that’s going on and we could  we can actually see the flusher in action   um so maybe we’ll be able to get a  thing here um right there you can   see one of them spawned on the trip or  on the tripwire so it triggered it but  

Yeah that’s it’s a good setup i just realized we  kind of have like an amazing view of the sunset   that looks awesome um this floating like this  floating turd of an island is kind of weird i’m  

Gonna have to figure out what to do with that but  uh yeah i mean it’s pretty cool but you know what   else is pretty cool sleep something else i saw in  the comments is someone said that they wanted me  

To jump out of the base um i’ve been doing that  that’s how i get down from the base i thought i   had it in the video maybe it’s this very video  but um i thought i had that in there of how i’ve  

Been getting up and down i just i jump off the  ledge um it’s it’s it’s working out pretty good   no broken bones yet so uh we’ll take it but um  right now we’re gonna head over here and murder up  

A lot of cows um because as you can see we do  have cows escaping containment so we need to   kill them first but i need bookshelves and  this is hopefully going to help all right   cows wow whoa a lot of you guys either spawned  or broke free of containment this is not okay

Well after murdering quite a few cows i think we  have a good amount of material um this is this i   i think i had way more cows there than i think i  did because to the fact that we were able to get  

Almost five stacks of beef and three stacks of  leather almost um and not have looting uh there   was a lot of cows there and it it did take a while  to kill all of them so uh yeah now however um i  

Hope we have enough sugarcane i didn’t exactly try  or do the math on if we do um so that’s gonna be   oh what you i didn’t know you could arrange just  any can you do it anyway intro i did not know that  

I thought you had to position it i thought it was  always this recipe right here i thought you had   to do it like that but apparently it’s just  any amount of paper and leather is crafting   so uh that’s 64 books i think that  may be enough we’re gonna just  

Convert all of our wood over to planks real  quick and that is 21 bookshelves so that is   plenty because i believe all we need is 15 these  days we’re gonna make one stack just because   um then we’re gonna go ahead and place them  down here i think that’s all we need right

You know really good addition to minecraft would  be the wood you build your bookshelf from decides   the color of the bookshelf um i don’t know why  that’s not been implemented into the game after   so many years honestly and i should have put them  backwards whoops so that way they would just like  

A steady build up i’ll have to fix it later but  overall i think that looks pretty good so i’m   happy with that um now we just got to get the  enchanting table which i think we should have   so we’ll have four of the obsidian  we have five diamonds after we have  

Our diamond pick so that’s awesome plus we  have our very first diamond over here still   don’t worry i didn’t mix it in oh wait it’s  two diamonds okay and man i used to have to   memorize all these recipes this book just makes it  so much easier um ever since they implemented that  

I thought that was an achievement but  i guess it’s it’s like after we do it   um so i do not have enough levels actually  so i have to go over to the zombie farm and   get a few more levels and we’re then going  to enchant some stuff hopefully hopefully  

We get a good pickaxe if we don’t i’m really  gonna be upset because i don’t know what to do   i guess we’ll have to make a grindstone and  just go back and forth on it and since i don’t  

Jump off my base here’s two of them and imagine  if i die that’d be so embarrassing it is time   we’re gonna get an unbreaking  three watch it be just unbreaking oh oh that that is that is a huge pickaxe  actually um wow all right so we have  

Fortune three meaning we can we can quintuple our  oregon now meaning that we can get more diamonds   and we can get a lot of stuff and enchant it  all um maybe i’ll do that in a live stream  

So be paying attention for a live stream could  be as soon as the video goes up could be you   know the next day could be the next week that’s  why you should make sure you are subscribed
