Unraveling dark truth in Garden of Grind – GTNH Skyblock

hello and welcome back to G and grind this is part 11 and I’m D Ros props and as you probably expected yes I’ve been grinding away and uh basically being AFK is I say is because this mob farm is oh my God one of another I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a mob farm like this before it’s awful but it’s good it’s a strange one okay you could basically be AFK is and what I mean by is is you’ll just randomly hear massive explosions and then you run to your computer you’re like Christ is is my is the farmer right am I okay that’s kind of what happens all the time with this farm and it’s awful for it but at the same time it’s brilliant like really really good Farm um yeah I’m actually got quite a lot of XP in here now 142,000 now I do want to know and point out that this was actually at 170 at one point as well so we’ve basically pretty much more than likely had over 300,000 XP in in total now and yeah we’re on day well year two day 11 now which is equivalent to like probably day 375 or something like that which is Bonkers but yeah loot wise this is pretty much almost at that level yep okay oh we got a spare bucket in there that’s actually really good okay um I’ve also started to filter out like the nicer items in this Hopper here so they would only kind of pass through if you know what I mean but they’re not going to pass through if they’re not in that one so I need to basically add another filter to oh whatever it doesn’t really matter this is all I can do for now we also got this um kind of Creeper trophy which when you click it just does that I don’t really know what that’s all about but it’s a bit of fun right but yeah this is great it’s really really good but it’s a bit dangerous and you can probably see something new already and that is these actual planks now these planks I should have used at the very start God this thing keeps getting me I keep thinking it’s a creeper that’s honestly why I actually put it there just to keep like jump scaring myself so I should have probably built the farm out of these white painted planks but it’s a bit of a habit of mine to just build everything out of jungle wood it would have been a bit more clever but it doesn’t really matter I did say on part 10 when I was building it I would probably upgrade this as I keep discovering and using the farm so this is just going to be a farm that’s going to keep changing over and over and over time as I keep using it and kind of improving it if you know what I mean anyway what are we actually going to be doing today well I did mention what we would do at the end of part 10 and yeah what we are going to be doing is hopefully trying to get ourselves to Lava but I don’t think it’s going to be really very possible today as such cuz there’s quite a few steps involved um but I would like to try and get their trade for the simmering comb today and I would like to try and get this lazuli seeds if that’s how you pronounce that but there’s quite a bit to do before we actually get that bow rolling but the first thing I want to do is make a little trip over here and go and get some XP berries now I’ve been harvesting these quite a bit as well as being AFK as you can see we got quite a few right and also by the way um regarding loot wise we’ve got many many armors in here to merate essentially as well this Farm is actually pretty scarily good this is just really changed everything on this world for me right now why do I want the berries well the reason I want the berries is to get myself some XP of course and I’m showing you now you cannot sneak and eat these all at once I believe this is an upcoming feature if I’m not mistaken or something which will be very very nice probably by the time it actually officially comes out I won’t actually need it no I’m going to be eating these berries for the rest of my life I tell you but anyway the first thing I want to do is go ahead and do some enchanting now I’ve actually kind of prepped up a few things here just to kind of get this ball rolling a bit today and yeah we’ve gone ahead and made some screws and stuff just to kind of get this um a bit easier to craft so what we want to do is make an anvil now we’ve already made one of these before for the forge hammer and yeah the reason I want this is because I got these magical boots look and I got an enchantment on there called haste free and what that actually does is enable you to run around quicker in the actual world so should we just give it a try oh my God look at me I’m like Sonic the Hedgehog oh this is great if I Sprint know jeez man that is fast that is actually really really good not only that they got protection four on them and Unbreaking three so they’re actually pretty decent boots and the other thing I want to do is go into this beautiful chest here which has got all my tools and stuff in it we’re going to need to grab this wand out for later and I want to grab uh this one here and this one here there we go cuz I need repairing anyway so what we’re going to do is combine these and then we’re going to combine this again now what are you doing Dan I don’t understand help me what are you doing well this is all stuff to do with formcraft essentially what this does is when you kill mobs you basically Nick their research points which is the kind of mechanic you need for Jesus these are so fast these boots used for formcraft so what I mean by that is if I actually look at a recipe which requires a bit of research you’re going to see we need research points in order to actually essentially research this and that’s what we need to do today so for example if I’ve got a sword with this elder wisdom on it we basically have a chance of getting research points which you would have got through using something very special in the actual mod uh I can’t remember what it’s exactly called there it is this thing here the 4r meter what you need to do is have that in your hands and then you kind of scan things and you get these research points that way that’s how you’re supposed to more likely get it obviously we’re in Greg Tech obviously we’re on a Sky Block so we got to do things different so yeah essentially what I’m going to be doing is running around and killing a few mobs to try and get their research points and unfortunately this time we didn’t get any with that one this cuz I’ve got this to actually a level five um I have I think if I’m not mistaken a 25% chance of actually getting research points um so this is actually true for uh Hostile Mobs too so oh God we’re not being very lucky are we okay fire slimes don’t like the rain I’ve just discovered so that’s interesting kind of makes sense oh there we go we can see in the bottom right corner there so yeah we could just run around and basically go around killing mobs if we really need to this is just going to help me get a few research points a bit easier we don’t really have a way of getting them and we’re going to need them and I need to be very careful is what I’ve read on the PDF it says you basically when you got one shot at this so I have been doing some practicing in a test world I kind of understand how the whole mechanic works so don’t worry it’s it’s going to be fine he says oh God now I’ve shut myself in a foot right so I think it might be a wise idea to go into this beautiful room here and kill a few villagers like these ones here because they don’t really do anything oh yes we do get some research points I thought we would get humous yes okay and this tinkered guy as well is useless oh this is a this is a lovely feeling just killing these guys I’m not going to lie oh they actually explode oh okay right now we’re stopping this we’re not doing any more of that because yeah we’re going to accidentally kill some uh villagers which we don’t want to do via explosions so I also thought it would be wise to go ahead and start growing my jungle trees here and I’ve kind of just started storing the logs just in this storage STW here and by the way talking about storage drawes yeah we got many of them 12 to be in fact and uh yeah we got loads of different drops here which are the more common things but I’m really surprised how much gravel and dir we actually get from that farm it’s actually quite really strange and that’s strange they’ve all disappeared behind me what oh wow okay that is a bit funky right okay I’m going to go sleep so as you can see I am getting quite a few different things here which is actually really really good so definitely worth killing a few of these but I got to be really careful I think I want to don’t want to be too greedy here yep getting really bit greedy so the sword’s all the way down to 38% durability now but yeah that’s probably going to keep me going I think right so anyway before we get into anything we need to go ahead and craft a few things one of these is a cauldron and yeah I need to go ahead and start pressing down some of these into plates so why don’t we do 15 of them cuz we get two plates per one so that’s pretty okay so it’s time to make myself another Hammer cuz this is probably going to break but yeah we’ve got our iron plates so we should be able to make the cauldron there there we go and what we actually need for this is this thing I’ve got on the front here I believe to actually Heat this thing up so next up I’m going to need to go ahead and get some tables and I’m also going to need to get this scribing tool as well which requires this little glass bottle and yeah this actually requires need to get into a little bit of rubber and I’ve saved this recipe here which is a rubber bar and essentially we can just use our XP to get these items here and then we can put this in an alloy smelter and we get a rubber bar so we’re going to need something here called sulfur dust and we only need the one of that and I’m actually going to save that recipe cuz I’m not sure if we’re going to need more of that at some point then we need raw rubber dust which is free in a corner like that okay and once again we will save that so we can do that two more times there we go easy and we can just go ahead and chuckle that and an alloy smelter essentially and chist I can’t get over how quick I am at running now this is crazy wow okay in here should be the alloy smelter I’m we going to just check this one like that don’t ask what is going on here it looks like a tree but it’s beautiful right so that should turn into a rubber bar and then essentially all we need to do is kind of smack that I believe yeah with a hammer and a file to to get these rubber rounds oh God there we go we got four of them nice and then I believe I just need to grab a bottle and do that there we go perfect and I’m going to keep that rubber Little Bull thing in there for now I’m calling this the rare chest right so we got that that’s fine I’m probably going to need to get more of these and we just need some squid ink and a feather which I’m pretty sure I’ve got this yeah easy and there is that thing the scribing tool done I like I say I’m probably going to go ahead and make another one of these though just because we’re going to probably need more than one so next up we need to go ahead and make a table but we actually need three of these things so we need a screwdriver and fre screws and I’ve got some in here left over that’s really good and there should be a screwdriver still kicking around there we go we need some slabs and we need some sticks nice so I think if I’m not mistaken that is pretty much all we need I think to get this ball rolling apart from one other thing paper cuz we need to write um a little Scrolls essentially to get this kind of thing going right and I’ve obviously got my little wand here as well good okay so what I’m thinking is I kind of turning this area underneath that mob farm um into a little bit of a magic area obviously for now I should probably remove this so how many is there 1 2 3 four five okay so we’ll remove those five planks turn them into Cobblestone but when I’ve actually got lava and I can actually make a cobblestone generator I will make it into a proper magicky room I think with like cobwebs and uh bookshelves and all this goody stuff yeah I think that could be a cool idea cuz I like playing it as like I’m playing it but I really want to build I want to build little houses and structures not just have everything FL in the air it just looks horrible after a while if you know what I mean but anyway let’s kind of get this ball rolling this is quite good we’ve got a crafting table here as well just in case we need this so from what I um heard and know I believe we put these two together and we give it this yes and we get this research Table and there we go this is the research points I was talking about now because I killed zombies and stuff I’ve got a few other new ones unlocked look especially this Herber one which is quite good and we got this one over here which is the undead so this might come into my advantage in a minute we’ll see the other thing I need to do is um get a cauldron and what I want to actually do is put a torch down and then put the coldon on top of that now if I’m not mistaken I hit this with a wand yeah and it turns into um a magical Crucible then if I put water in that it should heat up and the last thing I want to do is put this thing down and then interact with it and it’s turns it into this magic Arcane worktable and I can take my wand back out like that so I’ve just popped back over to the mob farm a minute just to go ahead and get myself a few buckets because we’re going to need to get some water eventually there we go so we got four buckets here we can fill them up with water and we can basically put water in that Crucible Now The Crucible actually needs a heat Source now I’m going to try using a torch I don’t think it’s going to work but I believe this is why this thing exists if I’m not mistaken night um I think this is actually like some light source but it’s also a heat source as well so we can actually use that to heat up the um the actual cauldron make it bubble and essentially be hot cuz we’re going to need that to actually go ahead and magically create these seeds um there is actually something else I need to go ahead and grab and that is a couple of get get ready for this Juke boxes there we go hello Elvis whoa you’ve only got a heart dude yeah I want to buy some Juke boxes from you please who would have thought a that this would have come to this now I’m going to need Juke boxes to essentially turn them into seeds just don’t ask I’m going to get free just for safety but I’m pretty sure that’s what I’m going to need let’s just see here oh they give him a bit more help flp but he’s not getting any more trades oh look at that there’s actually a very very scary witch that has somehow got through the mob farm um this is interesting I’ve not experienced this before so this is the first time I’ve ever seen a mob pretty much get out of it like that um I wonder if I can snipe her is she going to get me yo that’s not good oh no no okay we got away of it is she still got Health okay what has she got quick sand berserk storm will Vengeance Alchemist oh my God initially everything um oh I want to kill her though because that might be a chance of a diamond block or something hang on a minute let’s get some milk let’s get a a strength potion Swig that run up to a Smacker right I’m going to actually eat an apple as well a golden apple right let’s do it she’s gone she has gone I repeat beautiful and now we Swig that and so’s my base oh these are flammable oh no okay just just let’s do that quick quick quick quick quick put it out okay we we’ve controlled the fire fire we’ve controlled the fire okay it wasn’t actually that worth it really it was just a bit of diamond gear but I guess I can actually merate this yeah and get some diamond dust out of it but I’ll um how do I get across now though oh no what have I done luckily we got loads of dirt in here probably oh my God oh my God this is like unbelievably full we we’ll look at that another day so anyway back to the magic does a torch just heat up the actual cauldron out of curiosity no is the answer okay it was worth a try so let’s try this thing I believe this does cuz this is what I was using on my test world and it should start bubbling when it’s actually hot there we go perfect we can see those little bubbles so I thought it’d be wise just to get some stairs just so I can you know get on top of this a little bit easier it’s bit bit more easier anyway I went and got some more water as well um these Spiner eyes can go in a bin this can all genuinely go in the bin that’s all fine that’s all fine right okay so I’m not sure what’s going on here this might be OptiFine that’s doing this but sometimes like chests and stuff just disappear it’s it’s fine trust me Dan you’re so stupid you forgot the main thing of the mod the actual book right oh God we’re not going to be able to do anything without this so the way this works we need to go ahead and open up this book and we got these kind of like skill tree looking things basically any of these if you click on them it will actually start to research them as long as you’ve got paper and the scribing tool on you okay so what I need to do is go to this one here and then I believe we need to research the seeds one here then after that we research this one and then it branches out to the lapis seed so we need to do three of these in order to get our you know beautiful lapis that we want up here here so should we give this a little bit of a go um so we’ve got this little um like research note scroll thing and we put it in here and you’re going to see that we need to actually connect these two things it’s a bit like a little bit of a mini game and what we need to do is kind of bridge the gap here and combine them together and then it will give me the research basically now luckily for me I know what this actually is um I believe it’s human with plants so once I drag these together it will make this crop one as you can see so I’ve just just going ahead and unlock some more um aspects that I’m probably going to need which is this life one void over here I’ve got this tree one now which I’m pretty sure I need I’m not if I’m not mistaken I can’t honestly remember there’s so many um it kind of gets a bit confusing yeah what we need to do is essentially connect these together to complete this um it can actually be quite difficult but if you’ve got the internet it’s actually quite easy so we just need that that and then I believe no it’s not that it’s that side Dan and then in the middle it’s supposed to be a beast if I’m not mistaken there we go perfect and there we go that is that one done so now once we do that we’ve actually somewhat unlocked it and then it will Branch out to another one as you can see now on the actual PDF it suggest to go to this route here which is the metal eat one so we need to kind of do the same sort of thing again now and unlock this so now this one’s a little bit more difficult because we need four different things and if we mix chaos destruction with order we get this one here which is exchange strike barter so these are the four things I need to kind of combine now so once again I will kind of just put in the different things and they should all link up together and then if I just mix hunger with void we should get it all done together look and it makes a beautiful little sea done okay and then the last thing is the lapis thing so we check this one in and this one has pretty much all of them so there we go I’ve just unlocked the last one there which is actually senses and now I just need to link all these together and essentially we should be good to go hopefully so this should be it if I just put hunger here I think there we go yes okay okay okay lapis seeds here we come perfect so that should be all good so now if I actually go ahead and click on this and do the recipe you’re going to see we need 12 senses and fre greed now this is where Dan’s magical Juke boxes coming to play so obviously we got some water in here and this is bubbling away we just need to throw in Juke boxes and some seeds and essentially we’ll get some lapis seeds hopefully if I’m correct uh right let’s see if I got some seeds in here yeah there we go let’s just grab a few of them because we might be able to make more than one oh my God we’re actually going to be able to get lapis and then we can get lapis plate and then we can start thinking about getting our very first RF generating thing so one two okay that didn’t work there we go we got one yes cheep boox is still the win man yes okay so we don’t actually know what’s in there but there is actually some more stuff bubbling away in there now this is something else that you can actually get um in the mod is these special goggles that tell you what’s actually in there so these the goggles I’m talking about goggles of revealing now these are stupidly expensive you need to get this thing multiply it by two and then stick it with some gold and stuff if I’m not mistaken but again we need to research that but once you got these things yeah you can get pretty much oh God uh that’s not good uh we need we need to get this wand and fire that out cuz that stuff’s not good here we go um oh de run away run away so an easy way to clear up this pink stuff is by just doing that and I believe that is called flux if I’m not mistaken the pink stuff and I’m not sure what it actually does yet I will figure that out probably one day so there’s actually some wheat growing in here right now and what I’m going to do is just lift that up like that and all we need to do is plant this thing and I believe we just bone meal it and break it and we get a seed B every time I’m not sure if we get more than one seed but I don’t really care it’s fine just getting the one but look at that we’re actually getting lapis I probably in the future will make more of these seeds just because of the pain of getting it but oh God this is huge cool and then all we need to do is essentially uh take this lapis and actually mate it and turn it into dust and then we can do something with the dust which is turn it into a plate awesome so I got two lapis plates now I’ve actually stopped it because I didn’t really want to actually go any more than that because we only need one from what I remember correctly and yeah this is what we’re after the hobbyist steam engine as you can see I’ve just saved it up there anyway all of this is very easy to craft apart from the sturdy casing yeah the sturdy casing requires still and we’re not actually at that part yet so we still can get it steel get this done as such yet because we are um kind of gated behind the whole steel progression now if I’m not mistaken what we need to start looking into now then is this thing the brick bricked sorry Blast Furnace now we need loads of these blocks as well if I’m not mistaken this isn’t a cheap thing this is quite expensive as you can see that isn’t that bad this is quite easy this part it’s the actual um bricks part is a bit of a problem uh the fire bricks I think are a little bit more expensive if I’m not mistaken yeah we need to get brick dust we need to get clay dust which I believe is all XP Mode no bricks is with that okay so I’ve just been doing a little bit of maths in my brain and yeah this is looking like it might be quite expensive uh yeah because of the whole bricks part we need to get billions of clay and I’m wondering if there’s actually another way of me getting clay if I’m not mistaken cuz there must be right surely uh oh oh oh there’s a research for it alchemical duplication aha okay so there actually is other ways of getting it what I’m trying to say is this is something I’m going to have to work on off camera and just kind of grind and get loads of bricks ready to rock anyway I’m going to go ahead and make this simple solar boiler cuz I actually prepped up all the bits off camera for it so I want to see how good this thing is and really see if it is worth what everyone’s saying okay I’m just checking out the recipes here so we need to smack these together again God this better be worth it cuz this was very very expensive oh we have we haven’t got the pipes yet actually so we need to go ahead and do that uh there we go and now we should be able to go ahead and craft this simple solar boiler done [Applause] 3 days later [Music] I [Music] [Applause] so as you just saw I might have went a little bit crazy and I just got on with it essentially yeah I unlocked the actual spell to actually do the Alchemy duplication which is awesome so that’s how I got a lot of clay and yeah essentially now we have hopefully if my mouse is correct the exact right amount of fire bricks here to actually pull this thing off I am going to just kind of plun it over here I think oh God this better be right this is actually like stupidly slow and if I actually look at the uses of Steel here it does tell me how long they take look and I just had a bit of a brief look that’s uh 6 minutes right for one Ingot and I need 16 ingots yeah that means I need to wait 96 Minutes Or basically an hour and 36 minutes just to go ahead and get this sturdy casing so yeah that’s quite fun isn’t it I mean we have got time though to go ahead and burn and kind of make all the other bits for this I don’t think we’re really going to struggle with this too much it’s just a few bits of copper here and there um but the main thing we are going to struggle with is this simmering comb now I have already uh thought of a plan for this as I’ve already mentioned we do want to go ahead and start thinking about kind of shooting a load of villagers with arrows um the mystery arrows right oh you don’t feel tired right now can you not sleep in a Blood Moon okay I didn’t know that I’m learning loads today I think oh no this actually gets a little bit worse than I thought we need steel gears we need steel bars we need another sturdy casing for the centrifuge oh no what apparently my Steel’s done then I got fireworks for it there it is yes okay oh no but yeah this actually gets worse oh dear even more there look I mean we can use these uh iron rods anyway so we don’t have have to use Ste on this thank God for that I think what we’re going to do cuz we are waiting around for this anyway is uh yeah we’re going to try and get ourselves the actual simmering comb quickly do have a bit of a game plan and the game plan is to actually go ahead and use a lot of this dough and a lot of this cocoa powder and we’re going to mix this together make some chocolate dough and we cut this into cookies miraculously I don’t really know how that works don’t ask so we’ve got 23 cookies in total and yeah I might have eaten one of them there was 24 so yeah all we need to do is get 23 arrows essentially and do this here we go 23 mystery arrows that means if I shoot that at a uh villager I believe it will turn them into a baby but I don’t think we can fire these like that if I’m not mistaken no it’s not working so we do have to go ahead and use a dispenser but that’s not really much of a problem but what I’m thinking about doing is actually hooking up to where all those villag are actually dropping their emeralds you know in a little swimming pool as they’re calling it I think that’s probably the best place oh my God we got so many dispensers that’s thanks to that thing over there I think oh jeez man so before I actually go ahead and fill on try and settle this up properly I think I should probably just try it cuz I’ve never actually tried this before so what actually happens here that actually works perfectly okay so we got another tinkerer which isn’t great oh did he drop an emerald the little baby one oh brilliant oh that is genius man also by the way I did actually replace the signs with some slabs just to prevent the babies actually falling down just currently wiring these up as you can see and yeah we’ve got loads of mystery arrows in these now the only problem with this side is I’m actually missing unfortunately a uh a dispenser so we’re going to have to just do that for now um but here we go yes there’s some aoris there look that’s what we want the yellow coat dudes okay oh no when they grow up they’re all going to die that’s not good okay I think I saved a few but unfortunately we did lose a few villagers there this was a designed in mind for babies oops so a little bit of a shifting and redesigning here and there but yeah we’ve managed to get these guys stuck in here and these aren’t actually called a I thought they were but they’re actually beekeepers um which kind of is the same thing I guess but yeah I’m most interested in this guy here cuz he’s a baby one of them and that’s the guy that could potentially sell the simmering comb right which is here and right okay we got to wait now and actually fix some things while we’re waiting cool I just put the slab back in there without anyone getting through so I just had a little bit of a brain wave and I thought maybe I should go ahead and switch these out for slabs just so I can you know trade with these guys a little bit easier so I’ve just done another round of berry picking so yeah we’re kind of stocking them back up again which is lovely but I wanted to go ahead and check the steel situation okay we’ve got eight so far almost nine um okay that’s actually not that bad I guess we’re getting there right um the other thing I want to do now is see if we got any more villagers that have actually grown up cuz if they have we’re going to shoot them okay I think the other side is actually done so let’s go have a look yeah okay before we do let’s see if we got the guy we want no no okay there’s a couple baby ones there okay so let’s shoot them ones again and try and get some more so as I’m waiting around for a minute I think it might be a good idea to uh yeah sort this mess out maybe I got some cool stuff in here I’m not really too sure oh there golden apple look yeah we definitely want to get all the armors out and stuff would you look at that there’s actually a golden sword here with ELD wisdom on it that is actually quite cool but it’s a golden sword so it wouldn’t lasted very long I just want to show you here how many health potions I’ve just got from my farm right let’s get particles everywhere shall We There we go that should uh give these guys a bit more life so there’s only one beekeeper in this uh side so yeah we need to definitely do a couple shots of this okay I think we’ve actually run out so as you just saw I went ahead and harvested all of Blaze Roots but I’ve actually just discovered that you can actually compress blaze powder right into a blaze block and use that as fuel so that’s what I’m going to do for now I think as uh yeah I need to start cooking up some more cookies but that’s actually really good cuz yeah we got loads of blaze powder right and I may as well do something with it right and I kid you not this Burns for a very very long time look 24,000 ticks there actually not a blaze Block it’s actually called a blaze lamp look I presume that lets off light so while I’m waiting around for villagers to grow and my steel to actually be produced I’m going to go ahead and start getting myself some copper cuz we’re going to need copper to make this hobby steam engine and yeah I think I need quite a bit of it if I’m not mistaken so I’m going to go for 32 still got my 32 copper ingots and I’m actually chucking in 15 of these just to turn them into actual plates that we’re going to need and yeah we need to make a gear and we need to make some copper rods as well okay let’s quickly do all this so we’re going to make two of these a copper gears that we need for this next up I need to go ahead and make two Springs but for this I actually need to get some wire cutters and yeah looking at this I’m pretty sure I can go ahead and do this with everything I’ve got on me if I’m not mistaken yeah there we go cool right wi Cutters okay that only gives me one so I need to go ahead and do that again okay and if you remember back at the start we actually got some lapis and yeah we made this lapis player and this is what we’re actually going to use this for so that’s going to be good we need to get ourselves a little piston there we go and the last thing I need to do is obviously craft up the sturdy casing now hopefully in here we’ve got enough steel no we are just a little bit short of one here um but yeah we can probably start filing these up and try and make some screws anyway we are just missing the one screw cuz if you remember correctly this requires this thing here oh yes we do need uh these casings as well oh no okay these are actually really cheap look at that we’ve actually got six bronze ingots left over perfect it was meant to be right let’s go ahead and make this sturdy casing uh we need to make this thing first and then we need to wrap this up like this and then put screws like that there we go cool put that like that that that that those
