All About the NEW Minecraft WIND CHARGE! (New 1.21 Item)
The wind charge is an exciting new item added to Minecraft 1.21. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Minecraft wind charge.
Obtaining the Wind Charge
The wind charge is obtained through the breeze mob, which can be found in trial chambers. The breeze mob uses wind charges as its main weapon and drops about 4-6 charges upon death.
Features of the Wind Charge
Wind charges are throwable projectiles, similar to snowballs or ender pearls. They have no gravity and will travel until they hit something. When a wind charge hits something, a small gust of wind will appear. If it hits an entity, the entity will take about half a heart of damage and be knocked back slightly.
Unique Uses of the Wind Charge
Players can use the wind charge on themselves in creative ways. By jumping and throwing a wind charge right below, players can essentially double jump in survival. Additionally, with the right timing, wind charges can be used to prevent fall damage. When thrown right before hitting the ground, no matter the height of the fall, players won’t take any damage.
Redstone Applications
The wind charge also has many uses in redstone contraptions. It can activate levers, press buttons, extinguish candles, and even open wooden doors and trapdoors, making it a versatile tool for creative players.
Combat and Defense
If players find themselves in a scuffle with a breeze mob, they can redirect wind charges, similar to redirecting a ghast fireball, to defend themselves.
