Hey what’s up everyone welcome to part one of my updated ranking of all of the artifacts and minecraft dungeons from worst to best this includes the new artifact that was introduced with the jungle awakens dlc and the positions of a lot of artifacts have changed because alongside with the jungle awakens dlc They also came out an update that buffed some artifacts and nerfed some artifacts and also i’ve had a lot more experience with minecraft dungeons since i made my first ranking so this list is the most accurate and is up to date as you heard this is the first part of This ranking and i will be releasing the second part very very soon but other than that there are 23 total artifacts in minecraft dungeons so let’s get into ranking them starting from the worst and making our way to the best all right starting off from the worst artifact in minecraft dungeons At number 23 is the corrupted seeds artifact this is the new artifact that came out with the jungle awakens dlc when you activate this artifact it briefly entangles mobs and then poisons them as well and in between uses it has a 20 second cooldown this says briefly entangles mobs and it Actually entangles mobs for about three seconds and the poison damage that it does is per second and it is very low the radius on the ability is also pretty small from my use entangling mobs just has not been useful and if this did a good amount of poison Damage then that could have made up for its other perk but even that does not do much damage so basically all you’re doing is stopping mobs from getting to you and that basically makes it take longer to kill packs of mobs i mean maybe i’m missing out on some situations Where it can be very useful i get that it could stall some enemies from getting to you but really it’s not gonna help you that much in minecraft dungeons you are usually the one that is hunting mobs down and not the other way around it’s a pretty fast Paced dungeon crawler and you defeat mobs pretty quickly so stopping and entangling mobs just ends up stalling you for longer when the jungle awakens dlc was just coming out i was pretty excited to try this in game because the effects are pretty unique and they showed some potential but after Play testing the artifact it just does not perform very well in fact i was pretty disappointed by because i would have wished that it could have been a top tier performing artifact one of the best in the game and that would really add some variety into builds but unfortunately that didn’t really happen The design of the artifact is awesome i like how it appears i like the animations when you activate it and again i like the unique perks on it but at the end of the day it’s just not really effective and not an artifact that i would Recommend to use at number 22 we have the fishing rod this artifact pulls the closest mop to you that is in your range and briefly stuns them the cooldown on this artifact is pretty short so you can use it consistently and the pull and stun effect can be useful against high hp mobs However you don’t get to choose what target gets pulled in and stunned so most of the time you just pull in low hp mobs you get the fishing rod right after you complete the tutorial so we are all familiar with this artifact in fact it’s a 100 chance to get it if You complete squid coast so if you’re hunting for this artifact it’s pretty easy to get but the problem is that its effect is pretty underwhelming and although you can use it consistently its effect is just not as consistent next up at number 21 is the wonderful wheat which summons the Llama pet and you can re-summon the llama to your location every five seconds and if the pet dies then there is a 30 second cooldown before you can summon the pet again the llama does a ranged attack where it spits on your enemies and it does decent single target damage Pets are just not that great in general they may add to your damage here and there but overall more than half of the time pets are just trying to catch up to you and when they do they don’t even hit your target for a pretty decent amount of time Before finally starting to attack and then they do decent damage pets can find use in some situations where you may need enemies to attack your pet instead of you because you may not have much hp or you want to fight the mobs from a range but in general pets don’t do much Other than just look cool number 20 is next which is the tasty bone artifact and this summons a wolf that will aid you in battle which has a cleave attack and deals a decent amount of damage its cooldown is the same as the wonderful wheats cooldown it has a 30 second cooldown if your pet dies but if you’re just trying to re-summon it in a certain location then it has a five second cooldown as i just explained with the llama pet pets are just not very useful in general but the wolf is more useful than the llama pet in combat because It does have a cleave attack and it fights at close range and most of the time it locks onto your enemies much quicker than the llama pet does next up we have the totem of shielding which is a totem that you place down on the ground and It summons a little bubble around you and this bubble blocks any projectiles that come from outside of the bubble projectiles means a ranged attack so for example a skeleton or any mob that shoots a ranged attack this bubble would end up preventing that attack as long as the enemy was outside Of the bubble when they shot their projectile the artifact has a decent duration and has a 20 second cooldown the totem of shielding does not have much use when you are just running through a dungeon and defeating mobs in it just because you are running At a fast pace and you are trying to approach enemies and this bubble makes you stand still within a tight area so that is not very optimal for clearing dungeons quickly but where this artifact can help you is in boss fights because a lot of boss fights actually fire Projectiles and this essentially makes you invulnerable from them for a short period of time the utility of this artifact is pretty limited because it does mainly only help you within boss fights i mean when you’re just clearing through mobs they’re really quick to defeat and you standing there Placing a totem just isn’t the most efficient thing to do so if you for example keep it in your inventory and only swap it in for boss fights this could be great to have but as for including this in your main build this would not be in use for most of the time Next up is the totem of regeneration which when activated will place down a totem that creates a circular area around you that heals you and also allies that are inside it it heals you per second over a medium amount of time but that healing is really low for how long you have to Stand to receive the healing and that’s another thing you have to stand wherever you place the totem down so you cannot continue moving after you place it down and still benefit from the healing you have to keep standing on that circle around the totem i would say that out of All of the healing options in the game this is the least effective but if you have nothing else to choose from this can still help you out and it is definitely better to have than nothing it can serve you pretty well if you’re willing to spend about 10 seconds Standing and if you are in a situation where mobs keep coming to you then this can be more effective at number 17 we have the golem kit which summons a golem pet if it dies it will take 30 seconds before you can summon it again and you can re-summon it every five Seconds this is very similar to the wolf and llama pets more similar to the wolf pet because it is melee and it does cleave damage as well i found for my testing that this was the most effective pet out of the few and by a pretty decent amount as well i think This could mainly be because this artifact is only obtainable on apocalypse mode while the other two artifacts are much easier to get because you can get them on default mode the difference in the difficulty that you have to be to get these artifacts definitely shows on the performance of the Artifacts the golem pet is much more responsive deals much higher amounts of cleave damage and is overall a much better pet than the others that we see i still wouldn’t say that this will give you a major dps boost because a lot of the times you’ll end up killing Mobs before the iron golem pet will but hey you know cool concept for an artifact a nice big bodyguard to carry around with you hey you can have three of these guys if that’s what you want to do so you can definitely have some fun with This artifact at number 16 we have the flaming quiver which gives you seven burning arrows on use each one of these burning arrows will deal extra damage over time to your target when hit that is pretty decent and this artifact has a 30 second cooldown this will increase the damage of your Bow by a little bit where you will benefit even more from this artifact is if you have a bow that shoots multiple arrows like the harp crossbow which shoots five arrows so you benefit from this artifact times five what i really like about this artifact is that on use this basically just Gives you seven arrows and with the issue of conserving arrows in bow builds this can be really useful in fact if you fill up all three of your artifact slots with the flaming quiver artifact and then you combo that with the cool down enchantment you will have unlimited arrows decent Damage boost increases your arrows pretty decent artifact at number 15 we have the shock powder which stuns enemies in a medium circle around you for a fairly long period of time and this has a 15 second cooldown this artifact is great for stunning a big pack of mobs it can be pretty difficult Because mobs generated are usually pretty scattered and it is difficult to get a good stun on them when you do it is really effective but most of the time you’re not gonna get a whole lot of value out of every activation of this artifact and since it has a 15 second cooldown That is pretty detrimental to its overall effectiveness the effect of the shock powder artifact is actually pretty great it can stun a big pack of mobs and that makes putting them away really easy and also surviving much easier as well however this artifact is pretty overkill most of the time you don’t need Such a big stun and the trade-off here is that it is a bigger stun but the cooldown of the artifact is much longer and honestly i’d rather have the shorter cooldown and a smaller radius and duration of stun next up at number 14 we have the soul healer which will heal you And also allies near you for about a third of your health it has a five second cooldown and it is activated through souls the heal that this has is pretty decent but unfortunately because of this artifact’s cooldown being increased recently with the jungle awakens dlc update the artifact is Just not nearly as effective as it was before it cannot sustain you on its own right now as where it could sustain you on its own pretty well before the update it does heal you and everybody around you so if you are trying to become a healer for the group this is Pretty nice to have but after the debuff to this artifact it is just not the same i wish that mojing would have just kept the artifact the same it was in a pretty good spot as it was nevertheless the artifact is still good it’s just not Great as it was before number 13 is next which is the love medallion which will turn up to three hostile mobs nearby into allies for 10 seconds and then it will make them disappear turn mobs also receive a percentage boost to their damage and the artifact has A total cooldown of 30 seconds i mean basically you activate this artifact and you instantly defeat three mobs and you also get some companions for 10 seconds that will help you defeat some other mobs as well these turn mobs are pretty effective in tanking damage for you and they can do A decent amount of damage as well the cooldown on this artifact is pretty long though so it’s hard to use it very consistently and if the cooldown of the artifact was to be reduced it could be a top tier artifact but because of that cooldown this artifact Is just okay and it can help you a pretty decent amount in certain times at number 12 we have the fireworks arrow which will give you a firework arrow that when fired will deal a large amount of aoe damage on impact and the artifact has a cooldown of 30 seconds The fireworks arrow deals a lot of damage the cooldown does hold it back though because you can only use it once every 30 seconds which is a large amount of time however the burst damage that you do is amazing and when you combine this with bows that can shoot Multiple arrows at the same time and then also with infinity you have a very strong artifact on your hands that will deal a lot of damage in the situations that you use it which could be really good in mini boss fights or boss fights on its own this artifact is not really Great but its potential is pretty high which is why it’s higher up on the list if the cooldown of this artifact were to be lowered by maybe half then this would see a lot more play well everybody that’s about it for my first
