Foreign you can go over there all right so we have one full meal that’s about three quarters of a bar between that and what we’ll uh we’ll find on the way we should be fine we’re waiting on that so we can do copper we should be able to do that this

Evening when we get back from our our explorations um I’m debating going another Direction oh all right so Sun’s rising in the east let’s go I North this time I haven’t gone too far that direction I don’t remember um yeah the ore is generally distributed I’m not going to talk about ore

Distribution in how the planetary geology works but if I was looking straight down a typical deposit of the common ores that I’m going to be looking for like copper are distributed underground in kind of a flat horizontal disc shape just roughly speaking so if I were just to dig anywhere

Willy-nilly and then go laterally go horizontally trying to find something it’d be extremely hard to find anything so generally you want to dig straight down and try to pierce into one of the discs and as soon as you find it then you can go lateral to dig it all out but

You want to go straight down in a shaft trying to find the particular ores but we’re going to prospect first which is going to give us the theoretical ratios or chances of ore appearing in the area that we’re in it doesn’t guarantee anything below you it just gives you the

The chances during World gen uh of what what numbers were generated for that location as a possibility um but usually if it’s got decent numbers and you’ll see when I when I do the prospecting pick um you just want to basically drill straight down move over a bit do another

One over there do another one over there until you find uh one of those flat discs and then you kind of spread out from there all right we’re gonna wait to that to do that stuff until I get that Anvil done though I gotta see how much copper I

Have left over and I got to make sure I have a pick otherwise we’re back to having to find service deposits if I run out of pick power so we’re gonna try to not use our pick all that much let’s actually just leave it here that way I’m not tempted

Okay uh uh we’ve got what three Spears one two three I’m probably gonna make another one or two if I decide to do any goat hunting hello son yeah the little moaning Drifter guys will spawn down there if you don’t have it fully lit continuously and or if uh

You don’t have things strewn on the ground to keep them let’s see I think I’m gonna go out that way let’s go out that way first so East we’re going due north I’m gonna try to hold to a fairly strict due north line for as long as I can then

I kind of in my head I keep track of roughly how far I deviate left or right of this due north heading that way I can kind of keep myself oriented on where home is at uh once we get some more stuff established I’m going to build a tall

Tower really tall tower and put some candles or a lantern up on top of it as a reference point that I’ll be able to see uh far away because I don’t have a map so we’re playing Wilderness survival which gives us no map one of these days I’ll have to play with

Map mode again just so folks that are watching that are new to the game don’t freak out and they they know they actually can have a map I guess I could toggle it on but you know lots of fun in that I much prefer no map

Makes it spicy hey Mr bear God damn Bears due north we’re not going bear hunting Let’s uh let’s pick it every direction we’ll uh we’ll taste due north later let’s go I guess we’ll go uh due east I’ve been a fair way out that direction but not a tremendous distance

I don’t know if it’s uh Berry territory out that way so I can pick up food as we travel and of course we’re still looking for copper deposits till we start Pro picking and find an area rich in Copper that I can actually start mining that’s the point where I no longer have

To worry about running around looking for copper nodes yeah this terrain sucks more fire clay flax we always want always be picking up the flags all right we’re going to kind of aim for those Hills up there see if we can take a look around maybe what I actually need is just some

Sushi the fish I saw a fish in here somewhere there they are have the fish gotten any fatter low low not even gonna bother just stay lean fish and you won’t have to worry about getting it mushrooms or bauxite bauxite oh wait this is how we found our plateau

That’s right ooh fairly close goats yeah this is where we found our Plateau we went Dewey so I found this Valley and then we kind of rolled up I think that Hill there um we’re gonna leave these goats alone yeah I do not want to go into that biome

There we’re just going to skirt The Edge this time I’m going to try to hold more to a true East instead of getting distracted up onto that plateau which is a wonderful Plateau that we’re gonna leave it alone for this trip there we go nice bunnies are good bunnies are red meat

Not a lot they’re hard to get but at least they’re the right kind of meat for making food proper food I have a hard time getting him in this terrain though ooh grassy no visible urns oh oh it’s a bunny opportunity And bunnies are frantic it is funny oh Miracle throw he ran into it hate that you have to get rid of the grass old still bunny low body weight one meat one meat that’s that’s a lot of work to get eight eight is kind of my target number

That’s been a lot of time trying to get eight bunnies at uh one meat per all right now we kind of Hit the cliff this is where we rolled up that way to the uh the good part I see radishes all right um I want to try to get to the top of

This and this looks like about as good an approach as we’re gonna get I want to know what’s on the other side this biome continue all right now be nice wow that’s kind of ugly oh that’s the way we came from we’re set up just past those trees look

At that nice little flat Valley there and then the high Plateau that’s really nice right there and that’s as far as we’ve been that direction behind it big mess there’s a Trader’s wagon right there so we know we’ve got at least one more regular relatively close that’s some in a nasty terrain though

Flattens out a bit kind of down here but lightning over there in the storm and this just keeps going yuck uh I don’t know if I want to go all the way down there this trip I think I might try to work my way across the Ridgeline here see what’s on

The back side and over there yep bauxite has uses not till much later though I was afraid of that at least I got the seed oh I’m out of space I absolutely want that twine Let’s uh eat a few things well that’s a bit of a problem

Ah that’s the reason why I don’t like this Terrain all right maybe we will go over that way I don’t want to waste the whole day it’s 12 30 already not sure if there’s a way through the canyon over there to the flat section or

If I’m gonna have to go down the hard way so much mature flax right on the edge please don’t collapse please don’t collapse all right we are down first thing we’re gonna do run over this way and see if we can spot a possible flatter trip back

Right here there that doesn’t look too bad right up through there this looks like it might have a good possibility of uh Terra Preta we do have lots of medium Fert which we have over where we’re at all right hey puffball in pretty good quantity and red wine cool

Uh getting close to the storm there he is oops hey now I think I’m gonna do a quick skirt around this little Valley here we’ll end at the trader and then we’ll head back out go right into the rain in the storm more puff balls up field mushrooms

These are great mushrooms are great in quantity as an early vegetable Source until you get your farm up and running they last a really long time out of space uh uh we’re gonna eat those and get rid of that knife oh eat those eventually looks like we might have a way around

Those Hills on this side whoa [Laughter] okay I have never experienced that in vintage story damn lightning is going Fierce out here they don’t want me to have my mushrooms I wonder if I can die from the lightning strike because man would that suck you can

That’s kind of rough for a Iron Man play through we’re gonna take our chances if I get killed by lightning hey act again what can I do I’m getting a little further into this place than I was anticipating I just can’t pass up all these veggies fruit’s

Easy for us to find so if we can secure a good strong source of veggies for a while we will uh just need meat then we can have good healthy meals continuously just gotta practice up my goat hunting strategies oh my God so many mushy rooms

I’m gonna have to visit here every few days I am once a week I don’t remember how fast the mushrooms respawn just to come collect the Bountiful fields of mushrooms baby goats foreign getting a little late Pete I don’t have space for Pete and big goo blue clay

Gonna get more meat before then so I guess we’ll we’ll make the tiny bit of food we can with that oh we’ll just have the turnips all right inventory is clean let’s go get our our anvil um we’ll put it over there for now Drifters yeah we got a uh right there

All right all right I’ll just stay inside for now I got things to work on 900 units of metal uh do we have enough we do 200 would be a thousand so it’s a little less than that but I don’t have that much more I’m not sure I’m gonna have

Enough to get the tools made Beyond uh I’m a little worried now Ouch all right we’ll be okay we’ll be okay Hey guys oops so that’s four tools worth which I’m gonna have to make pickaxe one of them make sure we stay ahead of that curve and then um I want to do a saw and shears at a minimum I didn’t leave us a lot of leeway we should be okay

Damn portal too close Now let’s wait this would be a time where I might actually consider sleeping Not going to get much done while this Portal’s so close but High Rift activity and a violent windstorm Anvil’s 900 which is exactly the amount I put in to The Crucible you highlighted at the top it says Anvil mold 0 out of 900 units of metal and it’s five units per nugget so 200 nuggets would be a thousand whatever the math is to divide 900 by five

It’s never a good idea to math and stream simultaneously We’ll just watch copper boil I guess The mod Prospect info is great if you’re using map kind of depends pretty cool though I do like it the one time or two times I used it way back when when I was playing easier difficulties when I had my map I don’t see anything cheating about it

It’s just a Time Saver I mean you could just write down the information as well or put a signpost down and put it on a signpost at the spot Almost done All right 900 out of 900. Time is it one o’clock let’s go to bed I don’t want to listen to these gears and then the handle hopefully will be cool when we woke up yeah yeah All right we have an anvil Yeah if you could change just about everything about the gameplay experience through the world setup options or via mods I found I don’t like most of the um survival Edition mod things they just make the game a lot easier generally um they add stuff which if you like

Stuff I guess is interesting but for variety’s sake but it also tends to just make it a lot easier if you actually take advantage of everything they they include uh let’s get this bit out of here you served your purpose bed and I don’t remember where I had this thing

Okay uh uh we got most fully mostly full Billy um didn’t I have anything of food with me I’m missing a bowl there it is I don’t know why I put you in there all right 1.3 days I gotta be careful here uh 3.4 and one both single servings all right we’ll

We’ll be okay we shouldn’t lose any of that uh we have our copper Anvil oh boy now we have to boil copper down form it in the ingots and then we gotta Hammer the ingots and uh make the specific other tools that I want uh let’s get working on that and

Still thinks it’s hot that’s funny all right uh uh I want that much 200 units is fine for the moment we’re gonna make a saw blade and shears and we still have a full pickaxe and a little bit and we’ll still have a little bit of copper left over

Yeah fishing traps are cool and super easy there’s just too much about that or more survival tools mod that just makes it too easy just in my my personal preference you be you I’m not the boss of you okay and we pretty much gotta wait for this

Again what else can I work on now while we’re waiting for that to boil go away you’re bugging me ah My outside torches went out because of course they did it’s okay this stick tyranny is about to end I won’t do a sickle quite yet to mow the

Lawn faster but that’s not after the next uh load of copper oh I know what I can do while we wait let’s go uh let’s do some Pro picking I gotta relearn how to Pro pick all right uh um I guess we could Pro pick here

I expect to mostly be expanding out this direction maybe some that direction fill in some of this water I think I’ll just go over here and pro pick sure I would love some berries to chew on all right so prospector picking yeah I gotta get down to the rock layer

And I forget is it f it is f so you got two different search modes for what we’re doing we’re doing density search mode long range chance based search what this means is it’s only going to show me the percentage chances that certain types of ore are within the chunk that

I’m currently prospecting you have to make three surveys so you survey then you move away a little bit you have to be a certain distance away I forget the number uh survey again and then survey again and then it’ll give you a little report on what the chances are of different uh

Different materials within this chunk and then when you actually go prospecting underground once you’ve found an area you want to actually you want to dig through you use this mode which is a close range telling you the actual nearby concentrations of ore for now we’re using the density search we

Just have to uh pick this thing out uh uh I guess we’ll just use the pro pick and we’re going to fill it back in two more samples we’ll just pop over here One More Sample I guess it’d be better if I grabbed the uh grab the dirt then moved

Survey says very high sailorite poor hematite very poor Cinnabar halite emerald lemonite and minuscule Alum and sulfur oh yeah that’s right we’re gonna have that nonsense all right so if you had the map and you had that that mod that was mentioned earlier the prospect info mod

Uh you would be able to record that data and when you opened your map it would actually show you a little pin you could point at and it would show you the information all right so I’m trying to remember all the different things failure right is 10

Zinc yeah it’s able to write a zinc that’s that’s okay it’s failure right for zinc is not terrible hematite is iron I remember that one none of these are copper I really just need copper everything else is kind of secondary um though that is uh our first survey

Now I’m going to go the other direction about the same distance and do another survey actually first we’re gonna go check our our Capper we’re burning coal for no reason yeah yeah Stop Standing on it I guess I should have poured them on the inside instead of over here where I can

Step on them uh let’s put down the hot Crucible then put the tool away all right while that cools we’ll go check another spot preferably one without Scrabble all right right here is fine well we gotta go further down this time yep whoa four down well that’s not helpful

That makes it a pain in the ass uh uh come on give me one with only like three instant quartz well that’s not helpful either instant quartz goddamn quartz damn it and it goes forward again it’s funny over where my house is it’s one over here it’s four uh that is so annoying

Fine now my worries are mostly relieved assuming it’s not like three chunks and that’s it not quite yet 500 Degrees all right that’s fine uh uh we’re here first get you rid of you let’s go ahead and uh have our meal it’s still too hot to step on huh 2.3

Versus 13 hours 13 hours it is all right got a meal three it’s three something when this is cool enough to pick up I forget exactly what 350 nothing like that it’s gonna take me some time to actually form them uh that’s not gonna have anything to do with our copper mining

Let’s just go copper mining uh uh you to there we’ll actually take our shovel I’ve done Pro picking for the moment now that we’ve got that one and we gotta bring our other pepper all right we’ll be back that’s kind of funny though all the running around I do and there’s just a

Well maybe our problems are not solved if there’s not any more copper down here I didn’t think the above ground directly correlated with how much you’re going to find around below ground but it’s sure feeling like it’s correlating in this game hey what I should have brought the pro pick

Should have brought the pro pick ah I could be doing a lot of digging for no benefit let’s go get the pro pick I can use the the closed search mode it’ll tell me if there’s any blocks within a certain radius they have a lot of wear and tear on my other pick

And that’s fine deal with you later peace 1700 already all right I will just do oops wrong mode no or nearby yeah that’s not good it’s not good we’ll go in each Direction but I think it was just that uh single block oh oh quartz Trace Amounts yep we’re

Oh and we’ll leave those for the moment I don’t need all this Shale sand Shale gravel I’m not going to do much in the way of uh uh panning for materials that says 82 units damn it laughs that is really annoying 18 units of copper apparently I did not let it finish somehow

I did not pour the entire amount uh oh I got to heat it up it won’t let me do it until it’s heated that’s right I gotta get a uh I gotta be able to soften these with uh furnace or whatever it’s called um yeah all right I guess we’ll wait on this
