VR Day! || Minecraft VR, Catch & Release, Open Brush

Just so that because they they have a 1.18.1 that works but it does not work with uh Forge so none of the mods would cooperate they do have one that does work with Forge but that’s only 1.18.2 and up so I need to figure that out I started poking around with it

Let’s try properly texturing one of them I don’t need this here either so I want something like scratchy looking coarse bristles that might work because if I go to that and then I get like a light brown maybe darker I feel like that adds a fairly Woody texture to that right

I can put a little bit of Darkness down here to kind of help Define that right up in there I think what’s Lola munching on that’s not too bad and this is the same thing I think I should probably do on the stones you’re going to have to be sacrificed to

It’s not we’ll see if we make it we’re at uh six o’clock her close to it anyway I’m really impressed with how long the battery lasts on these controllers they weren’t fully charged when I started I had forgotten to plug them back in last night because I was doing the

Minecraft testing which meant they were left sitting on for like at least an hour before they went to or like 30 minutes before they went to sleep last night and then still had a fair bit of charge this morning plugged them in for like 25 30 minutes before the Stream

But like that’s that’s some pretty substantial battery life like I’m really really happy with this setup especially hearing how many people like were disappointed with the battery life on the quest Pro and [ __ ] it’s a cool device I’ve mentioned before I’m not sure how I feel about having Zuckerberg tracking my eyes

As they try to feed advertisements down my gullet not really psyched about that it’s a bummer too because the eye tracking technology is like a must-have to make his metaverse a thing but God damn not not like this not not for you mark sorry I just want to know where all the money

Went uh yeah well I mean you know I’ve been trying to think about that and I I gotta think some of it or at least a big chunk of it goes to um acquiring all of the Technologies and labor that they’re using to do this development

But then it’s like well what were you paying for because the software component of this is garbage and so then maybe it’s that all of the money is going to the hardware development like their Inside Out tracking is the best in the business you know like I I’ve got when we go into

The home screen you can see there’s a terminal over there like it’s that little gray gray box that sits there and then there’s another one that sits like right there and so they’re like physical tracking terminals for this setup and there’s don’t use that but they didn’t

Invent that technology I think the Vive has been using that technology for longer they have the Inside Out tracking on the handsets themselves now which is I’m not sure that’s the way to go because that seems to be a big reason for their ridonculous price point on the new device and

I just don’t know if it’s worth it like there are plenty of devices that track from the headset to the handset right and it doesn’t seem to cause a problem the quest Pro does or the The Quest 2 does that just fine like how much of a difference are you really getting

Other than a sleeker appearance I mean you do you do have that element because the headset to handset tracking as opposed to inside out on the handset and inside out if you don’t know is when they have cameras on the device itself doing the tracking so their handsets have three cameras on

Each with a Snapdragon processor I don’t remember which one but like the mid to low level Snapdragon processor on the inside and that is that’s a lot of hardware for a controller they could have just I would check his pockets yeah I think that’s a good place to check pimp how

Okay so those are not our leaves which means we need to figure out what r that also means we should probably do some like orange yellow leaves um so maybe we want to do no paper can’t really do leaves with that I need something that comes to a point

I feel like that kind of works it’s going to take a lot longer to do the fire brush is so fun probably don’t need many with this much snow coverage true so maybe I could just get away with doing something like that and then just like putting some leaves out there

Question is does that work like if I go ah stop doing that okay we’re gonna just kind of blow that up right in front of us here and then I feel like we we do like a those don’t look too bad that’s kind of mapley right yeah okay

You can do a bigger one it’s really not bad I want to keep I keep repeating myself like that because I’m not sure that I love it but I’m still learning this medium so I’m trying not to like overwork it and just kind of feel this out and see what we can make

So that’s a technique that works and I’m just going to stick with it we are going to cover up this little ugly spot here maybe something hanging from like here honestly it’s not bad that adds a little extra like genesequa we need the hidden syrup we could put a little syrup dribble like

Because it slows me down when I already have enough slowing me down on my projects so I’m going to get Tucker pretty much roughed out and then call him finished so that means that we get his pants on we get some shoes and some hands on him

Maybe three four more streams and that sculpture is done which means the next one is going to be opal who is um somewhat of a love interest she’s more than a love interest doesn’t accurately describe the character in fact her role as a love interest is like secondary

She’s more accurately a conscience to the two main boys from the story but we’ll see how she turns out I’m looking forward to that sculpture it’ll be interesting and challenging and foreign Friday will be another crack at breath of the wild it is definitely at least time to start thinking about what

Idea or a terrible idea it might work another lizard hunt we shouldn’t have to do more lizard hunting we did we did all of our lizard hunting we might want to go hunt for some like hearty radishes and stuff so that we can have a little more Health going into that debacle

But lizard-wise we’re set we’re not going to have any issues with the heat we’ve got three hours worth so If I miraculously didn’t die and we just nailed it all the way through I would have enough uh to last us the entire stream so I’m not too worried about that foreign nice
