Good day everybody it’s me your boy waddles welcome pack do you play minecraft java 1.17 and up they need villagers if yes good news are you playing minecraft bedrock 1.17 and same thing looking for villagers if yes again good news in today’s video i’ll be showing you how to build one of the Easiest 1.17 and up villager breeders that happens to actually work on both versions of the game the farm is decently efficient unless you’re on bedrock then it’s like insane and it’s very easy to set up if you liked today’s tutorial leave a like and if you aren’t subscribed subscribe i’ll leave some Time stamps for you down in the description this is an original design i hope you enjoy for villagers to breed there are actually only two conditions that need to be met to make things even better the mechanics are identical on java and bedrock for once that’s great for Villagers to breed each villager is going to need to have 12 pieces of food in most cases inside of their inventory and there’s going to need to be an extra bed which means to start things off we’re going to need three beds to continue things we’re going to need even More they’ll need to be an extra bed for every new baby villager the breeding requirements are insanely easy to meet which means the materials are going to be insanely easy to get to now i’ve spent a bit of time optimizing this design making sure it works on both Versions of the game flawlessly and it does the materials that you need whether on java and bedrock are the exact same you’re going to need two trapped doors one sign a slab two villagers inside of this thing to get it run three beds to get us started if you want to keep it Going though you’ll need more beds at least 24 food to get it started you’ll also need about a sack of building blocks and some water buckets a couple extra things that might be nice to have even more building blocks so you can do more with the design and light for sure Honestly you’re definitely gonna want to have a light here like torches at least maybe sea lanterns or something else you know really anything that you can actually block spawns with light placement to this farm is so simple you can literally set this far up anywhere It could be under the ground it could be above the ground it could be way up in the sky it doesn’t matter at all however with that being said uh keep in mind that you have villagers which means you might mess up things like an iron farm If you put your villager breeder right next to an iron farm so maybe keep it relatively isolated but other than that you can literally put this thing anywhere villager breeding mechanics are one of the few mechanics that are actually in perfect parity on both versions of the game which means for the Tutorial everything is going to be identical now when it comes to building blocks today i’m going to use a certain building blocks the building blocks really don’t matter though blocks don’t affect villager breeding at all so we’re going gonna start with an area that looks like this this is a four by four Area uh what we’re gonna do is come in here and build walls two blocks tall all the way around this thing other than one spot on the front so we’re gonna go like this and leave that spot right there open uh in here what we’re gonna actually do is place a temporary block Trap door open the trapdoor like that that’s going to stop the villagers from getting through but they won’t know that they’ll think that they can walk right through there they just see the trapdoor it’s basically invisible we’re going to break a block right there place the trap Door and close it this is the first part of the farm next up from this spot right here with the trap door we’re gonna dig one more block down right there these two go these two go these two go and then actually back here this one goes as well Now this is the perfect time to switch blocks up and make things look better if you want if not it doesn’t matter at all again blocks literally don’t matter here aside from villagers and beds with a design like this we could basically be done add some villagers inside of this Thing add some beds over here and then we’re set we’re good to go next we’re going to add a baby villager sorter this is going to keep the baby villagers safe and then as soon as they grow up they’ll actually be sent off to wherever you Want to send them to it’s insanely easy to add too we have the breeding area in the trench we start down on the trench at the far end with the sun the sign gets placed on the wall any wall doesn’t really matter at all one block up off of The ground after that you need to think about where you want to send your villagers you can send the villagers off this way you can send them off this way or you can send them off this way it literally doesn’t matter just depends on what you’re doing with your base and Where you need your villagers i think today we’re gonna keep things come back so we’re gonna send them back this way change the blocks to make them look better if you want or don’t doesn’t matter either way you need to sign right here in a slab right there the slab is Gonna stop the baby villagers from bouncing so they don’t get moved up before they’re actually fully grown up after that we’re gonna go ahead and grab some more building blocks and build walls around this thing all we’re gonna have here is a water stream this water stream can like i said literally go Anywhere you want it could go right over here and then you drop your grown up villagers here or if you need your villagers like a couple hundred blocks away that is definitely possible too the further away you move your villagers the more resource intensive this thing is Gonna be no matter what you do though it shouldn’t be too bad because you can accomplish everything with water streams and signs so we need two water sources in this design the first one goes down here next to the trap door the other one Goes up here on top of the side if we place that down like that that’s gonna flow back this way this one is gonna flow over this way if i were a baby villager i would fall into this thing and get moved over here and then i’d be Waiting as soon as i grow up my head would be in the water because i’m a villager and then i get moved up into the stream then i just float down this way and again after that it’s your call little tip though if you are making your Villagers move off a little bit farther highly recommend building at least two high walls on the whole thing and remember water only flows eight blocks so you might need to like drop things down to continue your water on and on and on or you could do something clever With like signs and maybe ice or something the design past this point is really gonna vary depending on what you’re looking for just another idea for you if you need to move your villagers really far or like way up into the air consider rail lines you could definitely Have a water stream go over to a rail line and then somehow your villagers and mine carts and move them off that way might be a little bit easier to set up but definitely more expensive with the full design set up now there are two final things that we need villagers and Beds beds are the easy part villages are maybe the not so easy part if you have no villages nearby at all you’re gonna have to cure zombie villagers this is gonna be a little bit more annoying but it could definitely be done if you have a village nearby uh just take the Villagers from there maybe move them over to this thing with a boat if you place a block like that if you’re lucky maybe the villagers just path lined up if they’re not actually doing that you can drive placing a workstation in here they should walk right in and you can Just take the workstation back they actually don’t need a job you’re going to need two villagers inside of this thing workstations in my opinion are by far the best way to do this uh you’re gonna have to be careful though because if you have one villager inside of the Thing uh it might try and like use the workstation to jump out if you’re confused at all about actually finding villagers getting them over to this thing i’ll leave a card on screen right now to another video where i got villagers and survival minecraft highly recommend okay so i lied kind of there Is one final step of the farm now that we have village inside of this thing that’s going to be beds if we place a bed down we should see green particles that means the village are linked to the bed place another one down uh the other One should link there we go uh then we’re gonna need one more when we have villagers that want to breathe there needs to be an extra bed for their baby villager every single time that means if we want this thing to work once we’re gonna need one bed if we wanted to work Twice two beds and so on and so on and so on just keep adding beds as many times as you want this to work however if you’re moving your villagers really far away then you actually don’t need like a million bets eventually once the villagers have moved far enough away They’ll forget about the bed over here and the bed will be open for claiming again so after the beds uh we need food we need to give the villagers food each villager needs to have 12 pieces of food throw each villager some food we’ll talk about the specific types in a second bed Conditions met food conditions meant the villagers can make another villager whenever they want it might take a little bit of time sometimes or sometimes it might not oh and i almost forgot very important add two more blocks right here this is to make sure baby villagers can’t just sidestep this Whole thing and get outside of this thing we don’t want that to happen give the villagers a little bit of time a little bit of space and eventually heart should start showing up if everything is set up perfectly like i have it set up here then a baby villager will be Dropped on the ground if something actually goes wrong you’ll see like broken heart frustrated symbols and yeah that means something’s wrong you’re going to want to check your beds and the food amounts if both of those things are set then it could be a bug or something Eventually a baby villager will be born and it should try and pathfind pretty quickly over to a bed so it can jump on it when it tries to do that it’ll actually walk right over the trap door fall into the water stream and then be moved over here while the baby villager Grows up it’ll just sit in here it should be pretty safe as long as you actually make sure it is safe give it 20 minutes the baby villager grows up into a grown up floats upward into the water stream because it’s too tall now and gets carried off to wherever you’re Taking them food food is very important for villagers to breed you have four options for village of breeding food types either 12 beet root 12 carrot 12 potato or three pieces of bread need to be in each villager’s inventory now you can mix a match you could have one Villager with bread one villager with carrots doesn’t matter at all but each villager needs to have that amount of food inside of their inventory if you’re low on food for whatever reason i highly recommend breaking things out individually and going 12 and 12 or just throwing 24 in there the villagers can Actually share food they’ll work it out eventually but if you have an access to food you can just throw like a stack of food in there when the villagers breed on java their inventory is completely cleared so any extra food that they have it’s gone you don’t get it back on Bedrock it seems to work a little bit differently uh you could throw like a stack of food inside of this thing and the villagers will just keep going over and over and over again so i don’t know maybe it’s slightly different over there but either way you’ll need food to get The things started so that’s the design as long as you keep giving your villagers food and as long as there’s enough beds your villagers will continue to breed forever and ever and ever now a couple things that you should know i definitely highly recommend putting light around this thing like light up The area maybe even set up a perimeter build a wall or defenses or something keep this thing safe zombies will definitely be lured over to this thing if you keep this thing open and don’t make it safe they could walk into the stream that wouldn’t be good so light Definitely consider light also lightning consider lightning for sure i highly recommend building uh some kind of ceiling over this thing with whatever type of block you want something that doesn’t burn maybe even putting a lightning rod on top of it just to keep it safe or something but put a ceiling Over this thing so lightning doesn’t strike a villager turn it into a witch if that happens the the witch is a witch forever there’s no way to turn it back so ceiling over this thing great idea and the bed so definitely make sure you have this wall here that’s going to keep The baby village inside the stream and also don’t put the beds right next to the stream baby villagers can actually glitch out and then sleep inside of the bed if it’s nighttime that’s not good because then they’ll wake up and they’ll just walk wherever they want to so make Sure your beds are spaced out by one block you could add more walls around this thing but do not fully wallet off if you fully cut this off like this the villagers can no longer get to the beds and they’re gonna be frustrated it’s not gonna work i recommend leaving these Three spaces open like that set this thing up on java in your world set this thing up on bedrock in your world doesn’t matter at all give it a little bit of time and eventually you will have so many villagers that you have no clue what to do with them It’s gonna be crazy maybe you have like an iron farm maybe a whole village doesn’t matter at all what you’re actually doing with them as long as all the breeding conditions are met the villagers will keep reading forever and ever and ever don’t let it back up like this or that’ll happen Not good good news for bedrock players of course the design does actually work on bedrock like i said uh but this thing is insane on bedrock it’s actually more efficient the villagers just they just don’t stop doing their thing you know like it’s insane and so there you go on Minecraft 1.17 java and bedrock villager breeder what tutorial would you like to see next i
