Hello there everybody welcome back to the minecraft guide it’s me waddles this is the 1.14 now point one let’s play series so I’m sure you guys will be delighted very very delighted to hear that I have captured three new animals in between episodes of course it was crazy I think

It is a blue mushroom and it’s babies I’ve been observing the thing and well first off very cool shoes but this thing seems to be the leader and these to follow it these two are weird-looking now anyways I’d like to start today’s episode off with fixing up this barn just a little

Bit and then moving on over to another farm to farm episodes back to back now so this barn is nice right the cows are still a work in progress I only have three in there that’s nowhere near enough but the barn so first I think this back wall needs some breaking up

And I think we could do that with a fence so that looks good to me then we can come in here probably with like a lantern and place it there and again keep in mind more lanterns once we have more iron now next we could play

Some hay bills in here I think that would bring a little bit more color into the build the build is pretty brown and I don’t know and by the way I saw some comments about the a here and I can’t unsee it so so thanks but then finally

Some leaves so I did start with the leaves a little bit but I want more around here but the thing is is the fact that I’m still kind of unsure with what I’m doing in this whole area so I’ll just have to keep it in my mind and I’ll

Come back to it the barrel will be used for cow storage and then or cow stuff and then probably some wall but the sheep won’t be living here forever so those will be moved now on to project to project two is probably going to take a

Little while but we need a cave I know I said I was done with caves last episode or her said we were done with the cave base and stuff but we are going to make a new cave over here and place a redstone control or semi-automatic wheat farm inside of it

I have cows but to farm cows I need wheat and to farm wheat I need a farm for it of course like I mentioned this will be semi-automatic which means redstone today is a redstone episode sort of kind of will go step-by-step through the whole build but if you played for a while

I’m sure you’ll you’ll know what I’m doing here and and it’s all pretty straightforward now to start off I think I need to clear out like an 8 block wide space going back into this hill and 16 blocks deep like this is gonna be pretty deep and and hey you know actually

Probably more like 20 or so blocks Steve because I’d like to do a like a cave entrance at the front and that means I need to terraform or or push the farm back a little more you know so I’m starting off with a lot of digging again

Of course I could be using a diamond pickaxe but you know the thing about that is I’d like to to be ready to enchant it so I can get the most use out of it and I am in no way ready to enchant quite yet so I’ll do it all with

Iron oh no it’s gonna take some time but it’s okay I am up for the project I am I’m excited to get one of these things in today and and yeah so I I don’t know if I have anything to talk about I might

Cut back in but if I don’t I’ll cut back in when this whole thing is a little more done you know we’re cutting back in here to talk about water water is very important guys like no joke you need to drink water I I made the mistake of going out

And and I talked a little bit and then my throat it hurts I I don’t know if you guys can hear it in my voice today but I I went out and and I didn’t a new drinking of water I know it’s it’s pretty lame sounding I got beat up by my

Own voice but moral of the story that I’ll probably forget if I’m being honest is hydration hydration you need to drink water or or your voice goes bad and and if your voice goes bad and you do what I do then you’re you’re probably going to have an issue because uh if you

Didn’t realize what I do involves some talking so I’d like to apologize on behalf of my mistake today I hope you can bear it uh huh nope no that’s that’s the message drink water it’s good for you and it tastes good water tastes good no right most of the

Room is dug out now so now we need to talk about water mechanics and really just how water works so water flows eight blocks in Minecraft but we can actually manipulate this if we dig down on the eighth one and then continue digging so basically you can make water

Flow much much farther that is exactly what we will be doing in this farm so first I I think we’ll line the bottom of where the pistons will go we will be using pistons with with some oak woods so Pistons will sit where this dirt block is now behind the piston and one

Higher up will have a water source we need to figure out how far forward the water source will go so we know where to drop the water down I think the water will drop right here but that is exactly what we need to test right now

So of course we could just count this but I I think I think I’ll do it this way I’m a little bit more of a visual person so whoops I’d like to see if this is good will the water fall and continue flowing to the front and let’s do that

So water here and forward and down and okay and if this were here the water wouldn’t fall so that’s perfect now I just need to figure out really how far forwards the water will go which I think okay yep right to there which means all of this ground down here needs to be

Replaced with dirt of course we can’t plant crops on stone so I have a little bit more digging to do but but really not all that much digging now yeah you know what I should probably do the digging first so let’s pull this out and and of course

Dig everything up but uh I think I will do a line of cobblestone back here which we’ll talk about a little bit more in a minute but lino cobble there and the water will go on top of the cobblestone oh yeah and I’m stocked back up on cobblestone yeah it didn’t really take

All of the cobblestone from the other base because you know I heard I would get more and sure enough I am stocked back up uh-huh but the dirt is now completely finished so of course to plant the crops on the soil it would need to be hydrated and of course to

Hydrate things we need water so if I place a water source back here and then let it flow all the way to the front that will actually hydrate all of the dirt sufficiently however we will need one of these water streams on both sides of the farm I’ll be burying this water

Stream with a wall actually so I think for the wall we should do let’s start with this we’ll pull this out and we’ll do I think oak beams I’m kind of framing where the pistons will be and then I I think we could do oak beams on the wall

As well so maybe every one two three every three blocks so one two three and then going down and then one two three kind of thing and then one two three right at the front so that is perfect that’s how we’ll do some of the wall now

For the other part of the wall I I think I’d like to do a little bit of an experiment I I think barrels could be really cool it will be a costly wall like this will be expensive but if we could do barrels lining the wall I oh if

We could do barrels lining the whole wall going all the way to the front I don’t know I think this could be a cool look like like that other than here pull this out I’m thinking something like this so barrels and then we could do maybe all of this is whoa mmm-hmm

I I think we should maybe move the wolf back one if this all sat back here we might have the depth that we need hmm HM hmm I I think that’ll work and then maybe we could do like some kind of arch in here of course like like an arch and then

Probably like topple stone slabs on the roof other than going across on the middle I’d like to do mmm probably beams going all the way across like that and then of course we we need to strip these because this wouldn’t match with the the woods that we are using but something

Like that I think that would be good and then in here maybe cobblestone slabs or even just cobblestone in here and in stone maybe that maybe that yeah yeah yeah we’ll do that so we’ll just replace some of the stone with cobblestone and make like a cave roof I think that’s a

Cool idea that’s the plan yes now I’m pretty happy with the idea of using barrels on the wall because of course we can use those for storage we could actually store excess seeds and wheat and and everything like that in here and usually with wheat farms you

You you get a lot of excess so we’ll have plenty of storage thinking long term you know and yeah if I stop farming wheat here or when I do eventually I’ll make I think a bigger and better weight farm then I can convert this over to

Like a potato farm and we have plenty of room for potatoes and everything good like that so that’s going to be the plan and then for now torches eventually of course something a little better but torches will will work more than enough for now so I am going to need to plant

Two spruce tree for all this wood and get building I will probably catch you guys back when more of this build is actually in and done I think this is going to turn out really nice yeah no III decided to do this whole cave theme for the weed farm instead of like

A proper building because honestly were early game still I do have things under control and I won’t be dying or anything like that but I definitely don’t have a whole lot of building materials and that’s a big piece of advice that I have for you guys when you’re early on in the

World don’t worry about you know building crazy buildings or anything like that do what works early on in the game building things on the sides of mountains and things like that can actually make things a whole lot easier if you build in a cave like this you

Don’t have to worry about the outside of the build you only have to worry really about what you’re seeing from the insides so that’s kind of how I decided to do this design and everything good like that I just figured to let you guys know about that you know I’m I’m gonna

Go ahead and mix in some andesite polished andesite on the ceiling as well to give to give everything back here a little bit more of a structured feel I I do like the cave vibe but this isn’t a cave this is this is a proper building

So by mixing this stuff in I think will look good now I don’t know I I think the barrels look really really nice in here honestly if you ask me at least and I like the idea of these things doubling as storage so I think we’re in a really

Good place with this build now next we actually have to talk about the wiring of this whole farm and everything like that now this part is actually really really easy as long as we sort of just have everything ready so I think I need to start by making eight Pistons so I

Need my redstone and sapling saplings mmm I always forget about this I am very very bad like notoriously bad about cutting giant trees down and then for hitting about the saplings and early-game like right now I need to start stockpiling saplings later on I can afford to just ignore the saplings

But that is not now so seven blocks should be fine we should get lots of redstone from that so eight Pistons boom like that and then we actually need some repeaters as well and repeaters are crafted like this three stone two torches and a dust in the middle and

Once we craft one ha magic we unlock the recipes so we don’t have to use that anymore we will need I think five five repeaters as well well let’s start with the the pistons probably pistons should go right here and then when these pistons are powered they will stand up and hold the

Water back the water will of course be how we harvest this whole farm now we need to sneak in this area and go all the way to the back of this thing probably through a repeater there so our signal reaches all of the Pistons and then we need to power these Pistons

Somehow but of course water is going here so wires you know can’t go up there that wouldn’t even power the piston anyways but basically we want to power the blocks behind the Pistons because the redstone current or signal will will power this block and power the Pistons

In front of it so we’ll place repeaters and then dust alternating going into these blocks the reason we have to alternate is because of this if we place the dust in here it won’t go to the blocks and these blocks won’t be powered these blocks need to be powered so a

Line like that that should be good and then we need to run this line all the way up to the front of the farm where we want our switch to go so we’ll have that line and we’ll place a torch and then way at the front and we’ll do all of

This and then on this block will be a lever a lever is how we’re going to power this thing but if we throw this down we’ll notice a small issue when the lever is on with this particle thing the pistons are up and we would want to turn

This thing on to harvest it right like we don’t want this on all the time nothing would really matter but we’ll need to invert the circuit and inverting this thing is actually really really easy to do we need one extra torch we’ll throw it somewhere and then we need to dig out

The block in front of it and yes I know my inventory is so messy I need to organize this it gets really messy as I do projects but there we go this will be our inversion so now all of those pistons are on and then when we place

The lever back and we we turn the thing on the pistons go down boom easy like that so that’s nice and easy and everything should make sense I hope I explained that well enough now on the back here I think we’ll do stone just to avoid a completely cobblestone box yeah

I think that’ll be fine and then eventually I’ll come in here and I’ll do like mossy stone in here on the ceiling and here we’ll just create like a variation of things but now we need water at the back of this farm so let’s grab some water from my water source and

Let’s fill this thing in now a little tip water is really easy to get into this thing if we just close the pistons and then place the water source at the back and then of course place another and then we can just kind of duplicate

All the water all the way across on the back you will want water sources on all of those blocks if you’re copying to this oh and I never did this you guys are probably looking at that and saying waddles you’re forgetting something oh there we go I didn’t forget now we can

Test it the water should come down and reach all the way to this line uh-huh perfect that is how we will harvest this farm so once all the seeds are planted in here and grown we just hit the lever and wait and everything will be moved

Over to the front for me to pick up of course we get the row hoppers down at the front you know to pick everything up but I don’t really need to do that I’m not worried about you know that because when I harvest the farm I’ll probably be

Over here to replant anyways and oh no I can’t I don’t like the stone I know we can see the water there but what can you do but this that’s that’s a no-no this needs to be turned to dirt or it will bother me a lot I’m not the best at

Redstone but one of my goals for this series is to become better at it and to become better at redstone and just things in general you need to do though things so this isn’t the last time we’ll be doing redstone and when I do it I’ll try and try and break everything down

Nice and simply for you guys because I’m aware of if some of you guys are newer to the game and watching this as strictly a guide series so yep I’ll try and explain that and as always if you have questions you throw them in the comments and I’ll try and get back to

You but it’s time to plant the seeds so whoops that might be an issue with this thing is running into the barrels but I will plant all the seeds and then we’ll wait for the seeds to grow so we don’t hit the lever until all of this or most

Of these are grown so in total in this whole farm we have 120 we planted it would be 128 but we actually only have an 8 by 7 back here so 120 120 is pretty good but we aren’t done with the farm while we wait for that to grow we need

To get terraforming this does not look like a cave at all this looks like some kind of weird explosion or something so I think we need to come in on the front of the building you don’t hold on all right there we go the hotbar is cleaned up that should

Make things easier to to use but we need to come in on the front of the build and get lots of stone in here so some of the dirt needs to go and stone needs to to come here and then of course this stone on the floor should be replaced with

With dirt and then we’ll do like coarse dirt and path blocks coming into the farm to make everything look worn out and traveled and yeah just like the thing is actually being used I like to try and trample up the grass a little bit in areas and of course to make it

Look like it’s being used path blocks coarser although that type of good stuff well let’s see what we can do with the stone maybe we have the stone kind of come out past the wood a little bit so it almost looks like this build is set

Back so maybe that and then hmm I guess something like this kind of going up just creating a rough shape but at the moment uh and then maybe maybe something like that all right and then just cave a fiying so mmm yep something like this and yes we

Can never never never never forget slabs and then even more slabs those those are a must always for caves you know I we really needed a bit more like path is in here so let’s see what we can do we could do slabs there then

We maybe step up to here and then ah no that would be weird hmm maybe we do a slab and a slab like that like going up diagonally I I think that works then over here we have this thing here right so we’ll have a road

Going this way and then I’ll mess with this part later but now I need to get some coarse dirt in here and of course the path blocks but this is how the cave turned out I think the cave looks okay I’m waiting for the grass to spread on

Top of this thing so we can really get a better vision or picture of how that all actually looks but yeah I’m decently happy with it I think it looks cool and again I need a vine farm I keep saying it maybe next episode is the episode

That we just just get a vine farm done yeah so I don’t have to talk about it and I can do it because the mossy variants are some of my favorite blocks in the whole game like mossy cobble and mossy stone brick eats everything like that I love this stuff

Now we could of course place like like a chest in here or something but honestly do we need it I I don’t know if we actually even need a chest over here anymore we have all of these barrels so I’m not sure but uh I don’t know we’ll

See but all I need to do now is wait I need to wait for these crops to grow up so I can show you guys this thing in action so yep it’s time to wait for a little while and let everything just grow and maybe get some fences in here

This is a Ledge no and I would hate to fall off it all right well I’m I’m going to break my rules okay it’s been like 20 minutes maybe maybe 25 it’s been a while I’ve been waiting the wheat is not fully done and my rule is

To only harvest this when the wheat is done huh so I broke the rule but there we go that is exactly how this farm works super easy to use yes some seeds do end up getting caught up higher but I I think it’s fine it’s not a big deal you know

I’ll be running up here to replant everything anyways so yeah that’s the farm and and how it all works and we will only be be harvesting it as soon as all of the wheat is grown from here on out because we just like only got half the production we should have gotten so

Yeah so I think on one side we’ll do like seeds and then maybe on the other side we’ll start doing wheat there’s no way the wheat one will get filled up with the seed one if I’m on top of harvesting this thing the seeds will will start to pile up like crazy which

Will be good because I want to do some massive wheat fields and then huge wheat farms later on in this year oh it’s it’s nighttime later on in the series but overall I’m pretty happy with how the cave turned out I of course had to add

In some water some bushes on top of the thing and then the path in here so we’ll need to figure this out the path definitely needs to go up this hill somehow and then in front of the barn and then off to wherever else I I

Decide to build but we have just a few more things I have one bone meal and it needs to be used here hopefully we lucky I wanted some grass in here it looks pretty like plain right so one we need to find a skeleton spawner so we can make a bone meal farm the next yari or jari I’m sorry if I mispronounced your name but you already mentioned that I can place ladders on

And not interrupt doors and this is revolutionary guys take a look at this magic here if I do that uh-huh and that yep perfect right and then we fill this all back in and then boom that is game-changing that looks so much better our covered wagon yes covered wagon uh

Station wagon or stagecoach or covered wagon looks amazing so big shout out to my patron yari for that one and yeah I think that is where we will actually be ending the episode today we’ll probably be doing some farm stuff next episode as well there’s one particular farm maybe
