Hey guys Wells Knight here and welcome back to another episode of simply magic and in today’s episode we are gonna be doing some more stuff to kind of get set up and get ready to dive into all the wonderful magic mods I’m gonna grab some

Fish grab some food some of this kind of stuff let’s take a look we’ve got a cascading smelter so we can actually get that going once we do a little bit of mining here and all in all we’re doing pretty well I think we definitely need to do

This this is driving me crazy we need to fix this we need to fix this immediately okay now when I come out much better much better okay so I’m thinking the first thing we need to do is we need to get some mines going here and I’m

Thinking the village is probably a good place to kind of set up shop at least for the time being you know what I probably should have grabbed though I probably should have grabbed some wood and it’s actually already starting to get dark of course it is why would it

Why why does it always seem to become night like right when I press the record button every time it’s a curse my friends it’s a curse anyway let’s work our way back up to our house here we go and I’m definitely going to need some

Wood and some of that kind of stuff so that we can make more tools as we go mining and all that kind of stuff as well so let’s see here let’s head on you seem to be in my village right now my friend I don’t I

Don’t know that I invited you but you know I’m in a friendly mood so I’ll let you stay I’ll let you stay for now but I’m warning you no funny business let’s take a nap here and we’ll see if we can get some fun stuff going okay there we go

So a little bit of this we’ll go ahead and make ourselves an iron pick do I have any more cobble I do we’ll take that I’m just gonna make one more stone pick there we go and let’s go on a mining excursion and see what we can find

I’m thinking the best place to go mining is probably going to be down the hill down here we’ll just carve out a little mine relatively you know far down that way we don’t have to dig so far we’re still at Y level 82 though which is pretty high

That’s kind of surprising I didn’t realize it would be that high that’s okay though and I think we’ll just dig it out like right about here I’ll just start working my way down let’s see maybe we’ll get lucky and we’ll hit a cave find a little coal that’s good

Coal is always good we’ll need torches as we go without a doubt so I think I’m actually going to gather all of this up let’s do it there we go let’s get some of that and I’m gonna do a little bit of mining here guys I’m

Gonna dig a staircase and I’ll come back if I find anything good all right guys I am back looks like we found ourselves a ravine and we’re not too far down I mean we’re ways but we’re not like super way up here either so I think we should

Probably dig down and see what we can find down there we’re gonna have to be careful though we don’t have any armor at all and I don’t have any ranged weapons or ranged spells or anything like that yet so if we run into like a skeleton or something we could be in a

Little bit of a little bit of a difficult situation we’ll have to be careful that’s okay though um let’s just kind of poke out and just kind of see where we’re at I’m pretty sure I’ve got quite a ways to go yet but let’s see okay so we’re doing all right we’re

Getting there oh speaking of skeletons and I can’t I can’t hit him I have no I have no ranged attack or anything um hmm can I get over there not safely nope no this is not going well you know what we’re just gonna make a dash for it over here

Maybe maybe over here he won’t be able to see us and hit us and kill us and all that kind of nasty stuff okay there we go now this skeleton is going to be mine come here skeleton goodbye skeleton happy landings dang thing but there’s all sorts of good resources here we’ve

Got coal I know I saw some iron I love to find some gold Gold is a big thing because one of the first mods that I think we’ll want to get into is or a cascade and that’s because essentially or a cascade is going to be a great kind of

Semi-automated type mod it’s gonna let us do things like double ores generate all it’s going to do all sorts of very very useful things for us early in the game so I think that’s going to be one of the first ones that we’re going to

Want to go for we’re also going to want to get enough iron that we can make armor for obvious reasons can we get all of this without falling to our death that would be good um that should work and I know I saw some more over here as

Well there we go is there anything under this iron not really what’s down there oh I see gold alright we’re going for it guys we’re going for it alright that kind of hurt but we’re okay we’re fine let’s put some torches kind of up here just to kind of

Mark out our way so we know where we’re at we’ll get the gold looks good looks good okay and anything around here that I particularly need to worry about I mean obviously there’s a lava which presents problems of its in and of itself let’s get this kind of blocked off so I can

Move around here if I need to there we go a little bit more iron over here let’s NAB all of that we’re going to need that as well for or a cascade I believe I believe if I remember correctly it’s been a while since I played around with Aurra cascade but if

I remember correctly or a cascade kind of the basic or a crystals required gold and iron that’s a creeper that’s a creeper don’t blow up don’t blow up go away go away go away okay we good that’s another creeper of course it is scram leave I want nothing to do with you

Torch you know what we’re just torching this whole thing I’m tired of mobs dropping in unexpectedly and trying to do nasty things to me let’s see is that all the iron that was there I guess so that’s a shame I was really hoping for a little more oh but we found more gold

Good good good good good that is very very good for us let’s just dig around it a little bit there we go nab all of that okay that’s a pretty I mean that was a very short mining excursion all in all we’ll get a little of this coal too because if I remember

Correctly I do need it to power the basic pump I believe the basic or a pump four or a cascade you need a fuel source if I remember correctly it’s been a while it really has so we’ll have to see I haven’t really played around with Ora

Cascade since I played banished I think which was another pack by the same modpack author but we’ll get all the iron we’ll get all the coal and how much iron we got seventeen yeah I’d like to get enough for a full suit of armor and then some a little bit of indium over

There I’m thinking here we should block off the lava if we can so that I can get up that Vindhya more right there oh speaking of iron hello let’s be friends come to me thank you okay any more goodies hiding about um we’re gonna block you off let’s not go into lava and

Stop going in the lava it’s unhealthy there we go a little bit of cinnabar ore from thaumcraft ooh and more cave well that was anticlimactic I was hoping for a little bit more than that anyway guys I’m gonna do a little bit more mining down here

And then I’ll come back to you in just a minute alright guys I am back and here’s what we got we got 27 iron ore 13 gold ore 10 lapis and some other random stuff as well so a pretty good start all in all I

Think what I’m gonna do is I’ll put all of my ores and blocks into this one this chest up here and then all of well basically everything else will go into this chest down here just to kind of keep everything organized let’s just do that look good that looks

Yep that looks good to me awesome okay so we’ll put that all in there now as I said or a cascade is really one of the first ones that I want to get into so let’s take a look there’s one quest and we need make 5 or a crystals so aura crystals

Are made or crystal there we go with gold nuggets and an iron ingot and that’ll make 2 aura crystals so the first thing we’re going to have to do is smelt up a little bit of gold ore let’s smelt 3 I think yeah let’s do that and

We’ll just drop 2 planks in there that should smelt up exactly 3 then we’ve already got some iron and I think we’ll be in good shape there we’re also going to need a place to actually set up our aura cascade stuff because I don’t know

If you’ve ever used it but it’s a little strange I mean basically you need a lot of vertical space this right here would actually work pretty well this little area we could totally use this we can just kind of carve out a little area right here we don’t need a lot of space

To begin with so this will this will do this will do just fine I think let’s just kind of carve that back a little bit there we go and yeah that’ll work for now and then we’ll just get this gravel out of the way ok yeah that should work for me cool

So now the next thing we’re going to do is convert those into nuggets we’ll take our iron ingots and we’re going to make some Ora crystals there we go and that should open up some quests for us so we can claim this that’ll give us a reward

Bag and then we already have this cascading machine as well the cascading smelter because we found one so now we can go ahead and grab some more crystals and I think I’m gonna go with the blue ones I don’t remember mmm before I pick that I think I should

Probably just look into those and actually let’s see what we get in the reward bag 64 acacia wood planks okay you know what could be way worse I’ll take it it’s fine here we go let’s look in the encyclopedia Ora and let’s just look at the aura colors so green uh during the

Daytime it’s better okay red when TNT is detonated near it it will generate a bunch of power and then blue 1/4 of the energy to pump up while producing the normal amount but only when it’s raining ok so I think our best bet is probably going to be the green one let’s just

Double check one more time Green at night it only weighs half as much so yeah I think I think that’s definitely gonna be the way to go so let’s go ahead and open that up and we’ll take the green or our crystals because they have different effects and we want to make

Sure that we’re getting the bit whole now there that is a nice one so we got shift or shrink we got which would we allow one of the two creeper well well that’s why you always shut the door behind you my friends hmm well you know

What it could be worse it’s okay it’s okay these things they do happen it’s okay where did that guy come from he just came out of nowhere he was that it’s a conspiracy we’re going to do that we’re going to take a oak wood plank and put it here and then

And I think I’m just gonna put regular oak wood planks in there because it’s needless to say he did a number he did a number on my house that creeper darn thing doing all sorts of nasty stuff to me I see how it is Means War

Anyway right Wow I don’t even know okay so we got those two quests done now processing this this is the big one right here this will allow us to double our ores so we are going to need a cascading processor let’s take a look at that real quick cascading processor and we need

Five white aura crystals and four furnaces I think we can totally make that right now so let’s go and make two more furnaces and then it was like a so and bam cascading processor beautiful now we have our smelter we have our burning or a pump and our aura nodes we

Can claim that reward as well what’s this give us ving tiem dust blue topaz and chimera so once again stuff for magic always good always good okay let’s try and set this thing up I don’t know well we’ve got the green we’ve got the green aura crystals we can just use

Those that should be fine so we’ll put a burning or a pump here we’ll put an aura node like way up there if we can and another one up there nope I’m gonna need a block we’ll just use this that’ll be fine there we go and

Then like so that should work I think in theory we’re going to test it out we’ll put a processor here I that’ll work let’s dump one white aura in there now the burning pump basically requires fuel to do its thing so we’ll just throw a thing coal at it

And let’s see it’s doing stuff now I don’t know let’s just grab some iron here and I’m gonna throw iron at this guy power / progress generating 300 power per second and I don’t remember if this guy needs to be here Ya Ya Ya Ya okay so we derped it up a

Little bit but it’s totally fixable it’s fine I don’t think this is generating enough power right now for the processor but if we dump a little bit more aura in there then maybe it will let’s see or I’m may have to upgrade to a better pump

First it’s hard to say 300 power per second now if I do away with this guy yeah then it works then it works okay so it looks like maybe our best bet is going to be to do multiple pumps we’ll have one for the processor and then one for the cascading smelter

So basically when this thing is all done and I’ll dump like two more green aura in there because why not when this thing is all done you’ll see that one of these is going to turn into iron dust and I’ll get to iron dust there we go

So let’s throw those back there we go we now have to iron dust instead of just the one but it looks like these pumps can only power one thing at a time also there’s a mechanic in order cascade where these will not de-spawn as long as

They’re right next to a thing so I don’t have to worry about walking away and then them being despond I have I did encounter a thing in banished where I logged out and they disappeared so I don’t know if I would recommend that but either way this is a great way to do

Early game or processing because right now we are in episode two and we already have or doubling essentially and on top of that if I make another one of those burning pumps which are relatively easy to make I mean it’s lapis and aura node which is gold nuggets and redstone

Which I don’t have unfortunately don’t have any redstone right now Oh actually I do have redstone oh I could totally just make another one of these sweet that’s what we’re gonna do una momento double my gold I need more gold I need all the gold let’s take a

Little nap here and I’ll just make two of them and that way we have a smelter and a or doubler of some sort let’s snag that up we’ll just throw those down there you can go in here with you know what I’ll just burn the acacia wood

Acacia wood is ugly anyway we’ll just put a decent amount of that in there why not and that’ll smelt up like soo I’ll smelt up my irons as well there we go we’ll get that going now what was that or a pump we need an aura node so

We’ll grab you and like so that gives me four and then I also need some iron which I have I should really double this though before I smelt it just in the in the sake of efficiency because I’m so starved for resources right now I should

Probably do this kind of stuff yeah all right there we go so there’s five and I need I need one more you know what will cheat we’ll do one more just like that it’s not a big deal okay they’re there and bam okay so that should be

Everything we need there we’ve got a little bit of lapis so we can go ahead and make our burning or a pump like so which should work well then we want to make sure that those aura nodes do not connect to each other so I’m going to

Take a little bit of cobblestone here and I’m just going to build like that and like this because as I said we don’t want those to connect then we’ll put that here we’ll put that guy there and there and here so those will all kind of connect up in a circuit

I’ll dump some green aura in there and our cascading smelter here and now if I throw a piece of coal on there this should should are you not doing a thing why you know do the thing it should work oh I think it got nabbed by this one I

Think that’s what happened okay got it I was very confused for a moment there but then this will smelt our stuff so BAM iron how awesome is that we have or doubling and we have smelting and on top of that it also works for basically anything that you would put in

A furnace so if we take this raw pork chop and we toss that over there that will actually smelt up into cooked pork as well so all in all it’s a great early game power source it still requires coal but you get a lot more smelting for each

Piece of coal than you do throwing it in a standard vanilla furnace so great little early game or doubling and pour processing system but guys I think I am definitely out of time for this episode so if you enjoyed this video don’t forget to Like subscribe and
