What A Start! Minecraft Survival | Episode 1

Today we are back with a brand new epic  adventure in survival minecraft yes it’s   been a while but how hard can it be right  let’s see if i can remember how we do this   so first of all punch some trees craft some  planks crafting table sticks wooden pickaxe  

Stone stone tools chicken food pig more  food sheep oh moshi bed and just in time to   bonus and most important food we definitely  need some food to get through this one   bruce wood and i think we all know  this is my favorite cows leather yes

Sheep afc okay with the basics all gathered up  i think now is the time to start looking for   somewhere to start our survival base and i think  we’re in a good location here as you can see we’ve  

Got a nice location right on the ocean here uh we  got a bunch of different biomes very close we’ve   got an oak biome a birch biome we’ve got spruce  we’ve got a dark coke now with that being said  

Guys we’re going to need a bunch of resources  because i think for this series i’m going to do   something a little bit different i think every  episode i want to have a challenge for that  

Video not that we won’t be doing other stuff but  our main challenge for the video so if you guys   have got a challenge for the next video be sure to  let me know in the comments just don’t do nothing  

Crazy because we are only just dying and we got  a long way to go so today’s today’s challenge is   gonna be completing the survival base now we’re  not gonna go with a little small survival base  

We’re gonna do something pretty epic for a starter  base so it’s gonna mean that we’re gonna have to   live out of chests and beds just lying around on  the ground um hoping that we don’t get blown up  

By any creepers of course so i guess for starters  guys let’s start demolishing some of these trees   okay so while we’re clearing out a bit of this  forest let’s talk about challenges guys what  

Challenges do you want to see in the next video be  sure to let me know in the comments now bearing in   mind this is the starting of the series so  we gotta make it realistic and a challenge  

Is gonna be possible to do but later on down the  line i’m looking to do some big challenges even   things such as transforming an entire biome  and stuff like that so i’ve got a bunch of  

Cool ideas and i’m hoping you guys can give  me some cool ideas as well like you always do   okay i can’t do it no more guys we’ve gotta  head down to the case and get some iron or some  

Diamonds if we can be lucky because i can’t  do stone tools any longer they’re driving me   crazy okay we have our first iron pickaxe so this  just speeds things up just a little bit at least  

Oh we found a cave nice okay let’s be extremely  careful here because i am not the best with   survival so let’s keep things well lit up we  don’t want any mobs to catch us out on this one

One spider down yes granite we’re gonna need  a bunch of this this is gonna work great in   combination with some bricks should give us  a nice contrast for a bit of texturing in our  

Roots and stuff like that so let’s get up as  much of this as we can oh we got some iron and   some lapis as well perfect oh thank god he’s  a little bit bigger than one block my gosh

Have that okay where did he come from gold okay  do you know this is one block i don’t think i   hardly ever use uh but we will be using it for  some bartering with the piglets so i guess now  

It does have a bit more use than it did have  before um and i believe it’s safer to go in   and everywhere in gold than not wearing  gold so um yeah we’re gonna be doing that   okay already through the first  iron pickaxe we are gonna need  

To get enchanted soon because this is not  gonna last very long right back to mining okay we’re on level 11 let’s see if we can  actually get some diamonds it’d be nice if we  

Can get enough just to get ourselves some tools to  get going with um so that we can get some obsidian   maybe so we can get to the never in next episode  come on we gotta find some diamonds soon surely

Oh now here’s a rare find emeralds awesome  i’ll say i found many emeralds in caves   hey we’ve got our first diamonds and some emeralds  as well which is pretty cool so let’s see how many   diamonds we’ve got ah just two  really it means i gotta find another  

One to get uh to get at least a pickaxe but  still two is better than nothing right okay   right let’s uh let’s continue mining guys  i wanna see if i can get just a few more   diamonds and then we’re gonna head back up  to the surface and get some more work done

All right guys we’ve got some more dime  really really how did i not even see that   okay uh we’re gonna have to go those two and  boom i don’t know pick x now we should be   out of mind our next set of diamonds  how many have we got here let’s see

Ah don’t tell me it’s just oh i thought i was one  diamond for a minute one two oh three and four   awesome okay right that’s looking pretty  good let’s just go ahead and fill those in   and while we’re here we’ll grab the rest  of this iron as well we’re not doing too  

Bad for resources we’ve actually  gathered a fair amount of iron um   so so far we have just over a stack of iron we’ve  got a few gold not much gold some redstone some   granny and you know all the usual bits and bobs  six diamonds and two emeralds come on bye bye

All right guys so we’ve got some more  diamonds how many have we got this time we got   one two three four five six perfect okay  back from the caves not too bad we’ve got   three stacks of iron we’ve got one stack just  uh smelting in these two here we got 27 gold  

11 diamonds some redstone some lapis a couple  of emeralds uh some random other bits and bobs   now i still got to gather a bunch of resources  for this build that we’re going to be doing so  

I still need some oak i need some spruce i need  some uh clay cause we’re gonna need some bricks   so still fair bits to do so i guess uh yeah  more gathering okay we got some clay more clay

And more clay more clay and believe it or  not we got more clay uh it’s gonna be a while   okay so i think i’m gonna be taking home a  good chunk of this forest we’re gonna need  

A fair amount of spruce wood and you know those  100 days in minecraft i think this is going to   be my 100 days yeah happy times oh berries now  we definitely want to get some of these i don’t  

Think i’ve gathered any berries up just yet so  we’re going to take as many of these as we can   out hurting ourselves preferably out okay and i  think we’re gonna grab a little bit of dark oak  

While we are here as well i don’t really know how  much this we’re gonna be using i can hear a zombie have that so i think we’re gonna be  using a little bit of this but not too  

Much um so yeah we don’t need too much of  it but i think it’s gonna be a good idea to   gather up some of the saplings so that  we can grow them closer to our base   uh so that whenever we need  them they’re gonna be available

Okay so it’s officially day 16 in minecraft we’re  doing pretty well i think we’re almost ready to   start building i just need a few more resources  we’ve got a little berry farm over here this just  

Stops us from hurting ourself not that i’m gonna  really use berries for a source of food but they   work great for decoration in game we got some  spruce trees and dark oak trees growing over   here this is gonna make it much easier for  us to gather up the resources rather than to  

Have to keep running back and forth to different  biomes we can just keep replanting the saplings   and we can grow them all here so that’s  going to help us out a bit as well   so yeah we’re almost there guys just a  few more bits that we need to gather up  

And so far what we’re doing like for bricks we’ve  got a stack and a bit so we still got quite a fair   bit here to smell up i think i’m gonna go ahead  and make a few more furnaces so we can do this a  

Little bit quicker because it’s a pretty slow  process of waiting for the bricks to smell up   okay finally after a bunch of work i think we are  ready to get started so over here i think this is  

Where we’re gonna do the starter base i’ve got  a few plans the waterfront over here but i think   over here we’re gonna have a bit of a star base  which is gonna have a curved stairway coming down  

Around here a couple of layers of farm so we’ll  have like one and then another one on the layer   above only small farms but just kind of curved  around the edge of the build then the build is  

Gonna be a few blocks up so we’ll have like a  sort of uh maybe a too high who’s too high so   building here a bit of an overhang at the side and  um a few bits and bobs maybe a balcony at the back  

Just a few ideas something that we’re going  to be building there and also while i was   mining away getting some stone i found a spider  spawner so here we go down here come down here  

We’ve got a spider spawner just underneath where  we was mining so i mined out a bunch of stone in   here which i keep smelting which looks like it’s  turned off we can get some more of that going  

I’ve got a bunch of stone all ready to go  let’s be careful here and there we go we’ve   got a spider spawner just down here which is  going to be cool to help us get some string  

And some xp so that’s going to be awesome but  we’ll get that set up a bit later on right now all   i want to do is get building and get our base in  place so i guess for now guys let’s get building

Okay not gonna lie i’m actually super super happy  with the way this one has turned out um as you can   probably tell i’ve gone for a bit of a farmhouse  look so we kind of got that kind of farmhouse  

Style a little bit roughed up on the textures at  the top there with the uh oak planks and overall   guys i think this looks really good so we’ve used  the bricks and the granite to add a nice bit of  

Texture for the roost we got the stripped oak and  the strip dark oak for the pillars spruce around   the edge and uh yeah overall thing is looking  really nice got a little overhang at this side  

With a chimney going up to the top we head over to  this side we can see we got a little tower and in   this little area here that kind of sticks out of  the building a little bit with that little smooth  

Slope there just adds a bit more detail and yeah  overall i’m really loving the way this is shaped   up now one thing i like about this and the reason  i wanted to kind of build here is i love working  

With terrain so as you can see the terrain kind  of slopes up which has allowed us to create this   nice little slope up to the build and there’s  two kind of little leveled kind of farming area  

Here so it’s not really too little level farming  i guess here’s just really for decoration a little   pathway that leads down to a little table uh  which i think is pretty nice still canopy above it  

And then if we go back over here ouch we can come  up here and we’ve got a little sort of farming   area where we can plant some crops potatoes we  carrots and all that stuff and then we can head  

Up to the top here as you can see we’ve got this  nice sort of chimney here and a little sort of i   don’t know we can probably put some storage or  something under here to make it look like it’s  

Used a bit more um and then at the back we’ve  got a nice balcony here and you can probably   get a better view of the tower at the side you  know just creating a lot of little bits of detail  

To the build and that’s why i love doing more  than anything he’s adding a bunch of details   now inside i haven’t really done anything  really at all i’ve just moved all of my stuff  

From outside in here so you can see we’ve got  all of our chests um a little bit of a furnace   not really a smelter but just a little area for  smelling just makes things a little bit quicker  

We will get a bunch of these kind of things  built in properly at some point later on also   gone upstairs i ain’t got a proper stairway yet we  will get in a stairway at some point but we’ve got  

A nice area up here to work with as well so got  plenty of room to kind of play around with i think   i’m probably gonna put the stairway in the corner  make like a spiral staircase up to the next level  

Um we may even be able to get a little attic  in i’m not too sure um but yeah overall i’m   really happy with this now i gotta say guys  this took me so much longer than i expected  

Um we did go ahead and do a lot of detailing  a lot more than i originally had planned for   now don’t forget guys let me know what you want  to see in next episode let me know what challenge  

We should do in next episode should we do another  build should we go and explore should we head into   the never should we tackle something let’s uh yeah  let me know what you guys want to see for the next
