What Happens When You Grind a Max Enchanted Pickaxe in Minecraft

Hey guys it’s phoenix the grindstone is a new block in minecraft for 1.14 and i had the pleasure of testing this out with my viewers in the live stream yesterday now what i’m going to do here is not actually use the repair function for this grindstone but rather

The disenchant function what this means is i can put a dime pickaxe let’s say with fortune 3 and it will return a diamond pickaxe without any enchantments but it will return some levels to you so i can take away a fortune 3 and i’ll get well actually flies away

That might need to be fixed i get three levels back so you could obviously have an entire chest full of items which you don’t really want and if you want to strip those of their enchantments for some xp just put them in a grindstone and you’re on your way this also works with

Enchanted books again that’s not what i’m going to talk about today the stein pickaxe has three enchantments and logically speaking it would give you more experience and it does so i have now have six levels for three enchantments now it’s not a linear progression because

Xp itself is not linear so if you have three enchantments you want to get rid of it’s not going to give you nine levels it’s going to decrease in value each time so what i did during the live stream is this this is a diamond pickaxe with every possible enchantment in the game

With the maximum level 32 767. this has a lot of enchantments every single one even the ones which don’t work on the pickaxe so loyalty impaling riptide channeling all the ones which apply to a trident i’ve put on the pickaxe so what this means is the grindstone won’t actually consider those

Inactive enchantments on the pickaxe it would just say okay it’s got a lot more enchantments than a non-pickaxe it’s fine i’m going to consider those when i calculate the experience so how many levels do you think this is going to give me put them in the comments i know some of

You already know it because you watch the live stream now am i going to do it on this recording no because it took 60 minutes or 59 minutes for it to actually fully complete because of all of the experience or entities that get spawned from the grindstone
