Hey what’s up guys crafty here with another minecraft video and today we’re going to be continuing our fantasy world right here at our castle today I’m going to be adding in detail finalizing and doing everything for this front gate oops here or Barbican as it would be

Referred to as it is the most fortified out of all the gate houses in this castle this time just gonna jump straight it might do some stopping some voiceover things like that but other than that we’re just going to go ahead and time-lapse it like we did before and I’ll And so I put together a little bit of redstone circuitry here for off-camera off for these these gates and stuff and I think I’m gonna change it eventually but for right now I think it’s a good place holder so obviously the problem with this is good but for right now I

Think it looks pretty good and we’re gonna show I’m gonna show you how that works I’m I mean it’s fairly obvious but and then we’ve got the other one here this is gonna be also a really nice looks like I missed a block back here okay so yeah we’ve got our portcullis

Here also works but once again doesn’t look great so there’s another thing that I may change alright we’re gonna fly up Alright so we’ve got our guard tower here of course it’s not finished you can’t get up to the top yet put some stairs and but here are the battlements so we’ve got of course our yeah so this is the way I’ve constructed this these are murder rolls or sorry no

Sorry this is a murder hole these are machicolations and I’m just gonna go ahead and put a bow in my inventory just so you guys can take a look you can’t actually shoot past these right up against the wall right up against this is the murder hole so that

Hallway that we came through originally with the portcullis this hole straight down there so of course this is wood I may change it to stone later so that you have the option of dumping some lava down there but of course that also means that what we’re going to drop down right

Now that means I’d have to change this portcullis as well because easily that kind of renders this area moot if I burn away our portcullis this one’s just for show here I couldn’t get any more redstone underneath here with this drawbridge so that’s of course another thing I’m gonna have to

Problem-solve eventually I’ll do all this off-camera though I take a little bit of time with redstone I’m sure other people do do but yeah all right let’s go back top here okay so a person walks up to the gate your friend up here says oh let’s raise the drawbridge head down

Into this hallway here we’ve got some so first thing we’re gonna do is extend got some lag and then we are going to raise but now take a look drawbridge is now raised in the center of course you can see the the Pistons from this side and stuff which I don’t

Like but it seemed as I do this of course that renders this completely moot so once again I’m gonna have to play with it a little bit figure out what we want to do but for right now connected the bridge and the portcullis is open so

Now if we want to get into defensive mode we want the portcullis closed and the bridge down an extended and I’m here we’re gonna close the portcullis now we can see if the bridge is lowered again and the portcullis is closed with a small gap in the center here so if you

Are on far side and the Bailey or on this bridge can ofcourse shoot giving yet another reason for them to back up towards where the murder hole is yeah I think really really nice I love the aesthetic and the silhouette of this of this castle and I can’t wait to see it

With the keep in the background you should be able to see the bridge poking over as well and then this other fortified area here I don’t know if it’s gonna be like another keep or what exactly I’m gonna do with it but I think that it’s gonna look really great
