Foreign Foreign You might be wondering where I am this is our world spawn and it’s well what anyways today we’re going to completely transform this area with an incredible build and you all better pay attention because I have another challenge up my sleeve for everyone watching so Sid and I recently took an Amazing trip to Europe and seeing the breathtaking churches and architecture there was flooding my brain with inspiration so I instantly knew I wanted to build something that was both magnificent in terms of scale and detail there’s only one minor problem our world spawn as well throws Now when I think of churches and Ice instantly my mind goes to one of the most iconic citadels in gaming history ice Crown Citadel from World of Warcraft I’d be embarrassed to tell you how much time I sunk into that game but funny enough that is where my YouTube Journey Began nearly 14 years ago as I attempted to share some of the world-class rating I was doing at the time now let me know in the comments below some of your favorite games growing up I want everyone to guess how many stone bricks we ended up using in this build but Before you go guessing be sure to keep an eye out for hints throughout this video to help you get the right answer the winner is going to be immortalized the top of this breathtaking build and have their comment pinned down below so here we are in a creative version of our World here’s the image I was using as a reference and well so when it comes to planning out big builds I like to start off by figuring out the scale with some defining features and in this case that sitting eyes face that sit on the front of this Build now once the scale is figured out I start framing out the entire build in rough shapes to get a sense of the size of the full build after that is done I pretty much just start detailing and this is where I love to add my own Creative Flair to the builds and in this case this whole creative process alone took well over 30 hours though that doesn’t deserve a like right now I don’t know what it does now before I go and spoil the entire build let’s jump back into survival and actually start Building this thing where it matters and we can dive deeper into the building process itself so the first thing we need to do is clear an area for this massive build since I took the time in Creative to work the build into the natural landscape there isn’t a ton of Terraforming but there’s a lot of trees to cut down Okay perfect now let’s get into the first hint we needed a ton of stone which we could then turn in stone bricks for this build so I built this super simple stone generator that produces nearly 20 000 Stone per hour and in total I need to AFK here for over three hours Now we need two other materials and huge quantities for the spill let’s start with the easier one This is all the concrete we need which comes in at over 20 shulker boxes of this stuff alone so you can only imagine how much Stone we end up using now while I was busy doing that let’s take a look at what Sid was gathering now you might Be wondering why she is raiding geodes by the hundreds well we need over four shulker boxes of tinted glass which requires two amethyst shards each so sorry Sid so let’s round up the remaining materials and get building this thing we need 1.5 shulker box of iron bars hundreds of Soul lamps crying Obsidian Blackstone carpet Soul Sand quartz Bill took Sydney and I over 10 hours of just placing blocks now obviously this is going to fly by for you so while we watch this come to life I want to talk through some more of the design work I did and the detailing Tricks that I incorporated into this massive structure but more importantly let me give you hint number two be used under 38 shulker boxes of stone bricks for this build so for this build I really wanted to stay true to the original icecrown Citadel as much as I Could so I challenged myself to use mostly one building block but still ensuring that I was able to achieve a level of detail that I was happy with and more importantly for all of you watching so there are some subtle details to look out for that you can Really only see at certain angles and up close the first one I want to mention is a cool detailing technique to add both depth and a pop of color to builds and that is using half slabs with a pop of color behind them and in this case that Is light blue concrete to make the build feel a little more Frozen if you will the next detailing hack I want to share with you is a cool concept I stumbled upon on YouTube where you can create a light to dark gradient using tinted glass concrete and a light source I love The look of this so much that I ended up using it in various spots throughout this build with a bunch of different colors hence the large amount of tinted glass that we needed for this build now this isn’t so much of a build hack but More of a design Choice than I made now in the original ice Crown Citadel raid there is a plague wing and a crimson Hall section with their own theme and thematic bosses now you can’t see the representation of these Halls on the outside of the original icecrown Citadel So this is something that I wanted to add to our build by extending the two Wings on either side of the main Spire now the plague works over to the right incorporates a plague-like feel with orange and green windows with sludge storage tanks on top and sludge pipes All throughout to really bring this build to life on the Crimson Hall side it added dark red windows and a massive bat of oozing blood with flow channels dripping over the sides as when I think of the Crimson halls I think of red vampire type Vibes really dark and Gloomy now moving on to the main spiral where arthas’s Throne sits this was by far the most challenging design part for me it’s adding depth in a circular pattern presented some challenges but I think I pulled it off with the blue ridges and jutting ribs all around then Of course I had to add the sweeping all Spikes all the way up to the very top of the spider where floating on the inside of the two tallest spikes is the Pinnacle of the build with the Frozen Throne all also where the final boss fight happens in the original raid Okay so that is most of the exterior details let’s jump inside and take a look before we get to the purpose of this build and what I’m most excited about so as you enter the build and turn around you’ll see in my attempt at creating an arth statue with crying Obsidian creeping out engulfing the ceiling you will also notice that the entire ceiling is black concrete I wanted to give the inside dark Vibes while also making it feel much larger than it really is because the black concrete is so dark that you can’t actually see where it is now in the Original icecrown Citadel there is an ice Spire running up through the inside which I wanted to recreate using light blue concrete and a spiral quartz staircase with end rods as icicles to bring it light and having this wrap up through the entire spire and of course This is in the center of the build where our new nether Hub and starting location is going to be at our world’s one now you may be thinking to yourself what are they going to do with all this space well the first thing we want to do is Create a comprehensive world map that as we continue to build and build we can come take a look at how this map is evolving Through Time and see how expansive our world is really becoming secondly you’ll notice that we have a ton of space on the walls well that’s Intentional we have recently launched our Channel memberships where you can access tons of our build schematics and World download so if that interests you be sure to go check them out and for each member that joins the miners Guild we’re going to put a plaque on the wall And depending how long you’ve been a channel member we will customize these plaques alright now it’s time to fill this area and we’re going to put a big world map on top of these prismarine lamps but there’s one thing I forgot which I need to go get real quick is Item frames to put the maps on so I’ll be right back all right probably want to use glow frame so let’s see if we have any I don’t even know where they are in my storage system oh god oh here we go yeah we got I think we have enough let me Blow these up with some squidding okay hope we have I also don’t know where that is One eternity later I would have thought there oh here we go we just don’t have very much go kill some glow squids foreign squid in here I just like I don’t get it Well that’s a problem for another day do we need oh toony compasses well I’ll be back once again all right so now we gotta do some math Center is this and then we need one two three four five six seven in each Direction and we need seven eight to Cover three thousand blocks so if we do a thousand divided by eight that gives us the 375 pixels so then we can use or 375 blocks so that means that we can use a 1 times Zoom to map I think a two-time zoomed map so that each map is 512 Blocks and that should cover a building area that we have in our world so far geez this is way harder than it’s supposed to be okay let’s try one map here Very cool okay all right we’re gonna need a lot more paper maybe what I can do is I can get paper as I’m doing this here’s an idea let’s do it I’m gonna break every sugar cane I see while we’re mapping this out and we might just come out on top Hey is this my dog oh what I lost this guy that is hilarious he’s back a cog for help twice this is gonna take forever so I’m not gonna map the entire world I’m just going to map in the areas that we have built just so I don’t Chuck in a bunch Of areas that I might want to Chunk in when we have future updates so for now I’m just gonna go to where we have our main bases map those out and then head on back but first let me give you hint number three we used a combination of stairs Walls and steps for the build and with that we use just over 3150 stairs alone which represents roughly five percent of the total stone bricks used Thank you this is already getting so confusing oh Okay now time to do this puzzle hopefully I can figure it out this looks like it goes here here oh perfect okay so if that goes there okay very cool very cool very cool the gold Farm looks so cool bull farmed raid Farm home base angle Farm Tree Farm slime farm Guardian Farm Old Farm or whole Egyptian area and spawn with icecon Citadel just to show how little we’ve actually explored and built in this area which is exciting because that means lots more opportunities to make some awesome builds and this may not look like a lot but this is over 3 000 blocks Away so pretty far well welcome to the entrance of this Citadel if you look closely you might see a w and an M you know what that stands for what’s mine is yours very cool our own Citadel follow me check out these custom banners matchy-matchy Soul flame everywhere check out these Huge huge torches I made they’re along either side it’s so so dark in here I needed to lighten it up just a little bit you can also check out our membership plaques here on the right hand side you we have all of our Prospectors And on the left hand side we have all of the miners and the different colors of text represent how long each of the channel members has been a member for so yellow represented the gold which is three months the white is silver which is two months And then the black is the the one month new members if you will yeah we’ve got some nice hidden lighting here Lee all lob spawning in here are zombie piglets coming through the portal no very good job uh adding some Flair to the inside I really like it and it’s Only just going to continue to grow as we get more channel members and think of cool stuff that we could add to the inside of the Citadel And I just wanted to walk through a little more and just show you everything that we have on the inside here so this is the inside of the Crimson Hall you have here so you can see it’s pretty empty that’s a bit by Design uh we’re Hoping to add a lot more stuff to this build and use it almost as like a type of Museum so we can hold some stuff of like notable Channel Milestones that we accomplish with our YouTube channel and a whole bunch of different stuff so if We can keep this space open we it gives us a lot of opportunity to add cool stuff in the inside in the future so that’s the Crimson halls and then you can see we have the ice Spire in Center here and then if I just quickly go over to the plague wing See that over here so we’ve left the walls on the inside the color that represents the Halls themselves I don’t know if we’re going to change that yet this is kind of what we left it with today just because we think it looks pretty cool and as you can see we have Doors on either side here so this door actually goes out onto the front Terrace along the side of the main Citadel part that you can see here we have these cool pillars with lots of detailing the iron bars and the blue concrete inside that I actually thinks looks really cool and These are more of like a typical Church style arch that you would see but I also gave it that ice Crown Citadel tight flare with those spikes on the top there and I think it just looks really cool and I just love how this whole build just gets covered In snow which is also nice because I didn’t have to go crazy with decorating the floor with any type of pattern because I just wanted it to be covered in snow just to give it that that wintry kind of ice Crown Citadel vibe so if we Just step in here let’s fly to actually be a little quicker you can go up onto this top balcony here so this is like the main walkway from the Spire that goes out onto the front of the build I just go in F4 see what that looks like here pretty cool And if you step out there you can get a pretty cool view of this whole area that the Citadel overlooks which is actually quite an expansive area and if you’re wondering what this is over in the distance that’s actually a Christmas tree that we built for Christmas of last Year uh which was a pretty fun build to do and as you can see it’s pretty large um seeing as we can see it from over here and I’ll just step back inside and then down these stairs you can take the spiral staircases all around and you Can just get to the roofs of the different uh plague works or the Crimson Halls as well and explore this area here and not much up here for now um but yeah this is this is pretty much the build and I almost forgot but here’s Hint number four this is a bit of a gimme hint but the last number and the final answer is a seven well that’s our ice Crown Citadel build we hope you enjoyed the video if you liked it be sure to give it a like if You loved it be sure to subscribe and if you want to see our latest video where we built a stocking
