Why I Automated Everything In Hardcore Minecraft

See this big list here I need to automate and accumulate everything on it I mean how else am I going to get 400 and 6582 grass money by hand you might be thinking Steve those are oddly specific numbers they are specific to my megastructure installation zero zero

Because I’m going to build it in Survival Minecraft in hardcore no less and I’ve added some mods to make automation impossible so uh here’s the seed if anybody is curious this is a new world so there’s a lot of basic stuff I need to get out of the way before I can

Begin touching grass I don’t know if this sword is any good but it’s purple this is where I’m gonna live looks like a really nice spot almost everything I need to automate is derived from Cobblestone so that’s the first thing I’m going to automate unfortunately I’m broke and I need to go mining thank you

Wow that was scary anyways I found diamonds what I got myself an enchanting table two sheep okay maybe just one sheep got cows an interesting meteorite and chickens I’ll be harvesting Cobblestone using mechanical drills from the create mod they run off of rotational power and will break whatever block appears in front of them this Cobble will be

Collected and turned into a variety of products namely Stone deep slate gravel sand and indirectly diorite andesite Granite dirt grass clay and mud while I was explaining that I figured out a design that works I didn’t say it was a good design I just said it works it

Takes four sets of water wheels to power 16 drills did I mention this design is ugly as well water flows directly over a layer of signs and lava flows onto the water flowing thus creating a cobblestone that drops through the signs onto a water stream then the Cobble is swept onto conveyors

That I have brass I can make things with exciting names like brass funnel which can extract and filter entire stacks of items from places like chess back to automation foreign called a steam engine and it’s very nice for rotational power okay let’s turn my Cobblestone into

Gravel and sand to do that I need to crush it so I’m going to make this big multi-block crafting machine and craft crushing Wheels with it to crush things these have to both be spinning in the correct direction which they are not currently doing huh now they’re working and with impeccable

Sand which is what I’m doing sand is now automated unfortunately I need villagers more specifically I need mending I’m breaking and Diamond gear great I got efficiency five I shouldn’t pass that up oh now I’ve got them breaking three I guess I’ll get mending eventually with my newly Enchanted tools I want

Mining and located a lot of ore and cave spider spawners which I’ll need later on so let’s turn that sand I automated into Soul Sand quartz gold diorite and andesite yes I am going to do all that right here first I build another fan processing system that takes my sand and

Haunts it with blue fire thus turning it into Soul Sand then I wash that Soul Sand with water and more fans thus creating mostly nether quartz and occasionally gold nuggets anyways I can make diorite using quartz and some Cobble in this mechanical Crafter two sets of these weird belts will

Supply the Crafters with the correct materials in the correct spots and the diorite is extracted out of the bottom my new Cobble input is split between diorite andesite made from that diorite lastly my andesite is thrown and evolved it’s a lot of things automated sugarcane

Is next on my list mainly so I can trade it with to my villagers although I need small amounts of sugar as well I won’t spend much time on this as it’s simply for repetitions of the same rotating harvesting machine [Applause] it seemed like a bridge across this Valley could be useful and would look pleasing automating wood is similar to automating sugarcane the only difference is the harvesting equipment and the addition of replanting equipment the deployer blocks replant the saplings which should start growing foreign space for iron automation to give this

Time to hopefully start growing iron automation is actually quite easy if not very fast washing gravel with fans and water occasionally produces iron nuggets and that’s basically it these crushing Wheels process a cobble from across the valley at high speeds so it turns out that my trees weren’t

Growing because the saplings needed to be alternated with different types so I’ve added Acacia to the farm and now it’s working quite well I finished the iron Automation and this is the result of about an hour so it’s not super fast but it’s better than mining it’s

Certainly not as fast as the tree farm which is way faster than I expected good thing too because I’ll be needing a lot of wood mainly for fuel and crafting materials I’ve even made a simple soaring system and left room for additional types of wood because I’m

Actually going to make a second farm for Birch and oak trees Redstone and gunpowder are two things I need or will need large amounts of redstone for crafting and gunpowder for Rockets whenever I get an elytra oh and um for powering the schematic Cannon but we’ll get to that later these items have

Rather complicated automation processes involving several potions these are all the things I need automated quite a lot first things first I need Cinder flour which is the base which the potions are applied to for this I need Netherrack automated which requires lava and lava requires blaze cakes to super heat Blaze burners

Oh boy currently I’m automating the cakes using sugar from my sugar cane farm eggs and a small amount of lava another rack to jump start the system oh and of course there’s a cobblestone input this system should indefinitely produce blaze cakes by reusing some of the lava created hopefully still with a

Nut lava game but uh I need to make potions including harming potions so I need spooter eyes and blaze powder and there’s only one way to get that mob spawners conveniently I can move mob spawners using rails and mine carts I also need to move a few other things

With rails namely these budding acerdis quartz blocks in that meter that I found earlier actually I had already started moving these blocks earlier in the video but I’d run out of rails until now I just need to build a big enough track to take

It back to my base you guys I think I found a use for the furnace mine car foreign T want to bring a creeper the exact same method can be used to move mob spawners which is what I’m doing to display spawner uh oh we have a problem

It won’t go through the portal lucky for me there is this little setting I found called movable spawners if I turn it on I can pick up the spawner cart as an item since it won’t go through the portal how convenient and here we are one out of four blade

Spawners acquired it would appear I’m being distracted while looking for another Fortress by a Bastion wow another Juju let’s see what this does protect against fire and lava restores Health while in lava hoglands will not attack that’s very overpowered good grief Nice loot so with this Juju I can swim around here indefinitely apparently it also allows me to x-ray through Lava as well when combined with another Juju that normally lets you walk on lava I can go under the lava activate the walking ability and run around on the bottom of Lava Lakes

The only problem is I can’t jump with the ability active so uh there seems to be a lot of ancient debris down here looks like I just found a new way of mining anyways back to spawners I found another one that’s two done and I have another right armor now I found a

Fortress actually very close to my portal that I hadn’t noticed before because it was hidden in the basalt biome this Fortress has two blade spawners got slightly less wildly overconfident there for a sec here are my four blade spawners now I need four cave spider spawners luckily I already found them

Earlier in this video I just have to retrieve them with Minecarts and here we are that was a giant pain this mob farm has eight spawners and will double as an XP farm in addition to providing blaze rods and spider eyes although it still needs some work I

Don’t think water streams are the best way to move blazes around because they just die here’s the redesign complete with an exterior the mobs are now pushed around by powerful fan screens I’m gonna briefly interrupt the potion construction to set up an Emmy system you see I installed a mod called applied

Energistics which lets you digitize and centralize your item storage essentially instead of using lots of chests you build drives and put storage Styles in them and then proceed to dump all of your items into the network then you can view everything from one spot I can even do crafting straight

From my network now it’s time for me to get a bunch of boring things automated and out of the way we’ve got netherwark Cactus deep slate and bone meal all done I’ve constructed the automatic brewing setup for a potion of harming for the gunpowder instead of Brewing stands its

Basins and Blaze burners water is pumped into the First Basin where it’s brewed with neither warped into awkward potion then the potion is sent to another Basin to be turned into poison with a spider eye lastly it’s turned into a potion of harming in another Basin with a fermented spider eye technically this

Stuff is not completely automated because I don’t need a continuous supply of gunpowder or Redstone and it uses the items so slowly that total automation didn’t seem warranted Granite Red Sand gold gray wool smooth basal and Redstone are complete Granite is made from diorite another quartz both of which

I’ve brought over here using my me system red sand is made from crushing granite and gold is made the same way iron is made except by washing red sand instead of gravel gray wool is just a normal wolf arm and smooth Basalt is very similar to my Cobblestone harvesting and smelting system

Oh and Redstone simply involved adding a basin to brute strength potion using some of the awkward potion already being made what better way to celebrate my automation achievements than by blowing up my Landscaping with TNT made from newly automated gunpowder [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] anyways I still have one last large set of blocks that require more complicated Automation and all of them are derived from lots of cobblestone so I need to build more Cobble generation capacity everything up until now that has needed Cobble has been taken as an output from

The original Farm but now I’m gonna have to come up with some better designs four belts of sand all to be turned into clay I need clay both for turning into terracotta and for crafting dirt and each piece of sand only has a 25 chance of turning into one clay ball not very

Efficient I’ve already got it turning into clay blocks and Bricks the bricks are just for fun though So I doubled the Cobble output because a lot of other things need making dirt is finally being made and immediately turning into modding grass gravel is being stored Sandstone produced and a spot is available for light gray concrete to be made once I start making light gray dye everything is more or

Less automated now to varying degrees and production rates but I still need to accumulate massive quantities of some of these items so I installed a mod called Mega cells the single highest capacity storage cell and applied energistics can only store about 500 000 items and I have several block

Types that need over 1 million items even one type that needs seven million items this Mega cell can store a little over 2 million items these things aren’t cheap though lucky for me I learned a little more about Buddy insertus courts apparently you can actually create buddy and Sarah discourse blocks yourself and

Pick them up with silk touch Unfortunately they degrade over time and have to be recrafted every so often except for flawless budding blocks these last forever and only generate naturally I only have about four of these blocks but I discovered I can dramatically speed up crystal growth with a crystal

Growth accelerator who would have thought there’s much crafting in my future and all of that went into making three 64k storage components or one 256k component lastly I need to partition the cell to only allow Stone on it now I just need five more 256k cells I’ve got four of

These cells just for stone and one cell each for the other block types that need over one million items while I was crafting my stone has ticked up to 17 000 out of seven million to make keeping track of how many items I have easier I’m installing a big screen of displays

To monitor the top 25 block types I need the most of block types that I’m actually gonna get at some point I’m not getting 50 000 copper ore so I’ve been AFK for a long time and sand is the first of the block types to reach the target quantity

Actually I haven’t just been AFK I discovered some inefficiencies involving some Cobblestone being wasted I fixed the problem and directed the access Cobblestone to sand sandstone and dirt production as you can see I have decent quantities of the other blocks but still nowhere near enough I ended up making a dedicated bone meal

Farm because of the quantities of light gray dye I’ve ended up needing I’ve also more than quadrupled the wolf Farm because of how slow it was with just 16 sheep one million stone the first block to reach 1 million items just six million to go I thought I might as well spend

Some of my AFK time not AFK and instead building a giant wall at the end of my Valley this also gives me the perfect excuse to test out a schematic Cannon because I have one Tower and I need a second one first I have to make a schematic of my

Existing power then I set the schematic in the position I want the other one next I put the schematic in the Canon feed it gunpowder and blocks look at that it’s printing the schematic for me now I have two towers actually I’m about to have three towers

This really big tower will go around my item count display area thingy [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] In between very long AFK sessions I made numerous upgrades to my existing systems and attempts to make them faster and more efficient I received varying levels of improvement from these upgrades and ultimately the most important factor was time unfortunately time was not on my side either at one point the power cut

Out and shut down my computer which corrupted this world luckily I had a backup but I lost a lot of AFK progress and had to spawn in items to make up for lost time but now millions of blocks are ready and waiting within my Emmy system on these few drives right here

So what now well the current plan is to begin and maybe finish building installation zero zero in the next video I’ll be heading to the end Dimension blowing it up and using schematic cannons to begin printing Omega structure I can’t believe I’m doing this making a flower farm I haven’t actually dyed my
