I met minecraft dungeons with a bit of skepticism originally was it some sort of left4dead clone another telltale style game thankfully it was neither of those instead minecraft dungeons is more comparable to the likes of Diablo as a full-blown action RPG set in the blocky Minecraft universe I’ve now had several Hours with a full tile and have begun scratching the surface of its endgame and already I expect minecraft dungeons to become my next big gaming addiction and his work Minecraft dungeons is lie on story ammo yang was pretty upfront about that ultimately though it doesn’t really matter because it simply feels so damn good to play minecraft puts all of its emphasis on a gear oriented gameplay loop tied together with gorgeous visuals and relentlessly satisfying combat whether you want a wizard style Character wielding the game’s artifact abilities or a two-handed Claymore wielding Berserker or something like a more nimble Archer minecraft dungeons vast trove and chance and equipment types will ensure that there’s pretty much something for everyone here you can even summon alarma to do battle for you If you so fancy the game is segmented into several dungeons with scaling difficulty and randomized mobs after completing the base game which is relatively easy me and my comrade began exploring the next main difficulty tier dubbed adventure mode and got promptly rekt minecraft dungeons is one of those Games that seems easy to play but may prove deceptively hard to master forcing players to explore the game’s enchantment system grind out the gear that they want and optimize for all the crazy threats the game throws at you and men remain as terrifying as they are in regular minecraft placing a Distortion field over your view there are a range of new mobs as well such as the Avoca which can summon a row of crocodile jaws out of the ground to bite you while also pulling you with small demon cherub things I won’t spoil some of the later bosses but the game’s story Does sail up nicely for future content there’s no end to dragon in this one but there may well be in the future minecraft dungeons modular design means that mo yang should be able to iterate fairly quickly adding new levels and adventures into the game if all you’re Planning to do is go through the game’s base plot you may be disappointed by the amount of content minecraft dungeons longevity comes from perfecting character builds and challenging yourself with the game’s harder difficulty levels which come with newer fixes that grant monsters even more powerful abilities The game isn’t perfect by any means I would have liked to have seen a more robust crafting system that was a little less random allowing you to work towards character builds that you want a little bit more easily also the soul draining magic mechanic feels a little bit clunky Since it requires mobs to power your artifacts if you’re trying to play something like a wizard but if you’re fighting a boss you can’t siphon any Souls because there are no souls around leaving you incredibly weak it could be that the maximum difficulty tears have unique items that offset this but it Seems weird that you have to go all the way to the end game to make the soul mechanic truly viable additionally playing online matches resulted in disconnects occasionally which concerns me for when the game goes live proper in any case these are minor gripes and by no means game breaking and It will probably be fixed before the game launches on May 26 it’s not often a game comes along that I truly feel like I want to seek my teeth into for the long haul the way minecraft dungeons gear based character build system works immediately took me back to monster Underworld which in my mind is only a good thing as I work on this review all I’m thinking about is the next time I’ll actually get to go and play it it feels that damn good an a it’s on xbox game pass making it incredibly cheap to go And try if you’re a fan of co-op action RPGs in any form I think minecraft dungeons could become your next edition you like this video please it sub drop a comment and alike and all that good stuff see the link in the description for the more detailed review and I’ll See you in the next one cheers guys [Applause] Video Information
