Wireless Redstone Link – Redstone Verbindung
Welcome back to another episode of Create Tutorials! In this video, we will be exploring the world of Wireless Redstone Link or Redstone Verbindungen in Minecraft. What exactly are these Redstone connections and why do we need them? Let’s dive in and find out!
What are Redstone Links?
Redstone Links are crafted by placing a Redstone torch on top of another Redstone torch. These connections can transmit incoming signals from a transmitter to a receiver. The transmitter is easily recognizable by its antenna, while the receiver has a disc around it.
How do Redstone Links work?
When a redstone signal is applied to the transmitter, such as through a button, the signal is transmitted to the receiver via the Redstone line. This signal can then be used to power various Redstone devices, such as lamps or other mechanisms.
One interesting feature of Redstone Links is that they can be built directly on blocks. This means that you can place the Redstone Link on top of a block and power the block simultaneously. This can be very useful for creating compact and efficient Redstone contraptions.
Setting up Redstone Links
To set up a Redstone Link, you will need to assign frequencies to the transmitter and receiver. Before the update 5.1, the frequencies were referred to as frequency 1 and frequency 2. However, in the current version, they are represented by colors, such as red and blue.
To assign a frequency, simply place any object in the frequency slot of the Redstone Link. Right-clicking on the object will set the filter item to the corresponding frequency. By setting different frequencies for different players, you can ensure that each player’s Redstone devices do not interfere with each other.
Setting up the transmitter and receiver is easy. You can either use a shift right-click to change the transmitter or receiver, or use a wrench to right-click on the Redstone Link and select the desired option.
Range of Redstone Links
By default, Redstone Links have a range of 256 blocks. This means that the transmitter can send signals to the receiver within this range. However, you can adjust the range settings according to your needs. Keep in mind that if you are playing with multiple players, it is important to assign different frequencies to avoid interference between players’ Redstone devices.
And there you have it! A brief overview of Wireless Redstone Links in Minecraft. These connections can be a powerful tool for creating complex Redstone contraptions and automations. Experiment with different setups and frequencies to unleash the full potential of Redstone in your Minecraft world. Enjoy and happy crafting!
