Hello everyone and welcome to project ozone alight so that is the name of the modpack than me and the hermit’s are gonna be playing together and this series is called Hermit skies just so you don’t get confused they’re two separate things and hi welcome to the

First episode this is gonna be a whole lot of fun we are on our own personal little island and if you’ve seen project ozone before this island right here has all of the same blocks that you start with and a bunch of the aesthetic ones

As well as it scales build team have put together the most amazing environment for us to play in now there’s a whole bunch of information about this series that you’re gonna know all about in in a few moments but I wanted to get started here together before I show you our

Fruit intro this modpack rolls around having a question but that’s not the question but hi here it is project ozone light that’s the name of the mod pack that we’re playing and in here the questing tree starts we’ve welcome to light and this first quest which is

Going to lead us on a path through lots of different mods and it’s gonna be a heck of a lot of fun now the first one is just a random act of kindness all we got to do is click right here and then click on that and then we can choose a

Reward so we can get a loot chest and we will also get a diamond a torch and an oak sapling as well this is look like a lot of fun cuz trust me it’s gonna be a lot of fun now if you want to play this

Yourself you can get it from the twitch launcher I’ll put a link in the description box so you can find the pack and also the world download will be made available as well if you want to play on the same world as Hermits are playing on

So we’ve got the twork mod in this one so we can jump up and down and get ourselves some trees we’ve also got vein miner which is going to make our lives so much easier so I can stand here and start growing a bunch of trees hopefully

We will get some apples as well now I should be smart if I use vein miner on the leaves right that’s gonna take up some of my hunger which I don’t want to do if I just use it on the wood the leaves will eventually go as well pretty

Stuff aha there it is my third Apple so I’ve chopped down a bunch of trees I also quickly want to comment on how the items flop in this mod pack it’s such a small detail but it looks so amazing when items go flying look at that I love

The way they roll that is so cool now that we got free apples though we’re gonna make a quick journey to the first quest because you need to have eight apples in total we can make an apple tree we can grow really quickly and then you saw it right there that me using

Shift to jump up and down like this hi this is what I’m doing I’m twerking okay and we can get the apples like that which is good but here’s the thing if I keep holding down shift then we can do that over and over again and day one

We’ve been playing for two minutes peeps and we’ve made an apple farm so we’ve never have to worry about food again wonderful and we’ve done our first quest which is pretty cool right we got the saplings the woods and the apples so now we can choose a loot chest and I tell

You what I didn’t even open the first one did I got so excited to get going here so let’s open it and you can see that we got a gas charm very cool don’t really know what that’s for but we’re gonna try and collect all of the charms in this

Pack and also a flask of magma skin I love that name it’s fire resistance potion basically and that’s cool so with these loot chests you can get a lot of cool and interesting loot not a lot of it really breaks the tech tree and some

Of it can be quite useful so I like that system but that’s what you’re gonna get for doing all of the quests basically wasn’t there dirt here a second ago and is that dirt now black grass and I can still grow stuff on the black grass well

That’s good but it’s sight to watch out for seems that it’s spreading and taking over some of the dirt the Sun is arising which is fantastic because it’s a little bit Moody out here at night I’ve been gathering up a little bit more wood want

To show you how you get cobble in this pack it just requires holding down shift and right-clicking on dirt wonder if we can do it on the black grass okay we can’t but we can get this back to dirt by growing trees on it that’s interesting that won’t be a problem for

You unless you’re playing in this world because this is a custom island with black grass on it anyway we get all of these pebbles hi then we can craft them into cobblestone and so from there you can see where we’re gonna go next right we’re going to

Be crafting our basic set of tools things like that if we go back here though this is part of a they go part of a quest 64 cobblestone and a furnace let’s get that sorted out there it is a furnace a stack a cobble with two pebbles to spare and we’ve completed

Another quest awesome let’s go in and claim our loot chests I do enjoy doing that let’s see what we got this time come on fingers crossed epic bacon that will make for a good meal oh man that’s some tasty looking stuff look at the amount of saturation that thing gives absolutely epic that’s

Probably why they call it epic bacon right and look at that that’s a big old tree right there you get so many saplings we’re gonna need so many things though that I can just stand here at the beginning of the game and just you know chop down trees for a while and enjoy

Enjoy myself here on this island which is gonna be the center of our base which might sound like an obvious thing but I’m not going to be building a outdoors base let’s say I’m going to be building a joint structure that we’re gonna be inside of and this starter Island is

Gonna be like a little Muriel in the middle of it and I am so excited I have a vision I have a plan on how to get building really quickly and so early on in this series I’m hoping we’re not gonna see lots of janky platforms everywhere but we’re gonna dive pretty

Quickly into building some awesome stuff on this island you know but anyway I don’t want a waffle on too much I’m gonna be chopping down trees and I’m gonna show you some of the footage of the group intro that we recorded together ladies and gentlemen welcome to

Hermit skies named blue new progress or just big big people in a in a very very tiny tiny world ladies and gentlemen today we are playing project also light this is a mod pack available on the twitch launcher you can download it you can play to yourself this map will also

Be available because we’ve customized everything well not everything but we’ve customized the starting island so that we can hang together and step on buildings and yeah walk over everything we’re like 14 people here no one is saying anything that’s kind of creepy but okay [Laughter] this is a this is a new series that we are doing and I’m so excited it’s it’s basically the product Oh sunlight the the sky block pack of we each get a little bit of a slightly customized starting island you can download this map in the description in case you want

To play with your friends as well and we’re gonna we’re gonna play on our separate islands we’re gonna take a UFO there or Space Shuttle or whatever but but our islands are slightly slightly customized as well and then what did we say dudes like weekly weekly we’re gonna

We’re gonna maybe do some events and stuff together together as well also pranks also put this right out there right now I’m pranking every single one of you it’s going down into my base again and I will fly to where you live in will fight in person so the

Islands that you saw at the beginning of this video is where we recorded the group intro and it’s cows build team have done such a fantastic job of creating this gorgeous kind of alien aquatic theme over here where loads of UFOs around this main island it is just

Really something to behold there’s a miniature city in the middle but this is going to be the hub for the server this is how we get to everyone else’s areas and also how we get to our weekly event you see we’re gonna be doing like a a weekly challenge where we have a

Leaderboard there’s going to be minigames PvP challenges and the hermit’s are gonna be competing for points no be leaderboard and all of that just gonna be really cool but the UFOs that you see here are how we get to each of the hermit’s bases and I believe that

There’ll be more UFOs to take us to the mini games in the future now this one over here is is evil scowl watch your step that sounds kind of menacing I wonder if he’s got a theme going for this season my UFO is over there I’ve got the golden

One that’s up in the sky and some of them you can walk across – some of them have elevator blocks I remember during the intro Ren was stood over here just going up and down over and over again amusing himself as Ren doc would do and dreadnought of the cyberdog AKA

Ren dog ship ha that reminds me peeps we need a name for our UFO and then in the future we’re gonna need a name for our base as well as it’s gonna be fiend and a theme needs a good name but this is Marwan over here we use liquid to come

Up here what’s that called again I’m not sure if I can actually see the name of it I see alf glass that’s the stuff we’re standing on but this liquid is amazing sending us all the way up to the top to get back down again we can just

Drop down onto those slime blocks then here we have a screen which we can right-click on and do we shift right click on it yeah we can customize the text and we can change it later on so welcome traveller to the home of Asuma and then we can click on this

Thing and it takes us back to our Island amazing right oh I do enjoy it so welcome back to the island I guess you’re gonna notice that there’s some little wooden slabs around the outside here so I’ve been doing some measuring and marking this bit right here as the

Center of the island and then putting in this shape so I know where we’re going to be building around the outside because I don’t want to have to move a bunch of stuff later and we’re gonna put in a storage system over there and this is gonna be a really useful storage

System for the long-term of the game or at least for a fair amount of time it is gonna be extremely useful we’re gonna set it up really well but first of all what I want to do is make some sips we’re gonna use these SIVs to get

Resources and we’re gonna start off with nine of them but in order to complete the quest we also need some string now the way that you get string is by making a crook and then we need to plant down a sapling grow it into a tree and then

Whack this thing with the crook let’s do that again we grow a tree and then you want to break all of the leaves with a crook now what you might notice is that little thing right there if you use a crook you’re going to get a silkworm and

Guess what you can use the silkworm to create string so let’s grow another tree hopefully we get a big one a big one would be good things crossed nope just a regular one and we’re gonna use those worms on it so you can see that the leaves have been infested in

Festive leaves oh no it’s spreading everywhere well I was gonna use the second one to speed this up but I think it’s really gonna make too much of a difference now when they’re fully invested you can harvest them and they will drop string which is fantastic so

If I break that one alone we didn’t get a string so it’s not one per block and we’ll give it a second let’s move on to the next thing we’re gonna be starting up our storage system like I said so I’ve crafted some basic drawers and we’re gonna have rooms surrounding this

Central island and the rooms are gonna be 9×9 and when we walk up to the edge of this room what I want to see is a wall of chests or better yet storage drawers is where we’re gonna store everything right not all of it will actually be storage drawers and we’re

Gonna use this to store all of the items that we’re going to be getting from the civil from other things as well but we can also use this to store our tools and this is all about inventory management model can be a little bit tricky sometimes with those sorts of things and

Yeah we could craft a whole bunch of crooks and then put them into one of these slots and they would stack together which makes it easy to work with but we’ll come back to that in a moment we’re gonna harvest these leaves first of all I didn’t get any string did

I I think I’m supposed to use the crook Oh Deary me I’m making a fool of myself what a surprise what a surprise let’s try that again you’ll have to forgive me most of the time I’m playing this game I’m going off of memory so let’s vein my

Knit with a crook this time and we got string maybe one string per leaf block because we did a test a moment ago and I didn’t break it with the crook did I so I guess we could do that test again but we can use the string to make our meshes

For the sieve and those measures can be upgraded so let’s grow the tree hi come on a little faster recording a video now let’s put in a couple of these things so invest while we’re doing some crafting and we can try that test on it again so

I believe it is just like that to make a mesh that makes seven of them we can combine them together with these SIVs which we also just completed a quest wall we completed another one it was the draw one wasn’t it yes so we can claim a

Loot chest excellent and we can claim a loot chest here as well fantastic and then we can open those loot chests but first of all while I remember let’s do our test so I break that I got one string you saw it actually we got no he had one left over

Three four five so it’s one per fantastic and there’s a whole bunch more string so I can make enough for nines meshes for the nine sips right let’s open up our loot chests let’s see what we get this time it is some stone and some awkward not great I mean it’s kind

Of alright I guess and then a chance pendant that’s possibly gonna be useful later on I’m not sure but the stone has actually reminded me of something we have a furnace we should start making some fuel for this furnace I’ve got the time to sit around and chop down trees

So let’s pop this down over here let’s get the wood in the bottom and oak in the top and we can make ourselves some charcoal I’ve made a big mistake I forgot to slab off the top of our storage area which means we’re in for our first fight come over here mr.

Creeper like a char back away catch our again I say and then no you should always back it up why did he blow up oh well all you got was some slabs you meanie so joke’s on you we should be able to do a very important

Trick now and no it’s not like things up so that mobs don’t spawn will use half slabs for that in fact they’re slightly compressing this game which is f7 and it shows you where they’re able to spawn yikes they can spawn around this island well it’s a good thing I made some

Torches I’m gonna torch up this area so it won’t be a problem but anyway what I want to do right now is grow large trees so I can get wood faster we’re gonna use an old vanilla trick here I cannot remember if this worked or not I’ve been

Playing modded during live streams and I forget everything I learned that’s just me you know so it’ll take a little bit longer to grow the tree right maybe you’ll take a very long time but it should grow a large tree maybe that’s uh no that’s good enough okay and that’s a

Big old tree right there so yeah I think some of the items might fall into the void because we’re kind of over to the edge but it got me a lot of wood which is exactly what I want each time I chop down a tree I want to get a lot more

Wood than a small tree right so all of that I’ve been crafting up some more storage you can see in the background and I want to introduce you to how we’re gonna use that system now and I’m gonna make some stone ones these are gonna make building in this pack so much

Easier and I also quickly want to set up our civic area so each of these areas are going to be nine by nine I’m gonna put some cobble in between as a marker to sort of separate the areas so you don’t fall off the edge if we’re sort of

Walking around aimlessly which is probably not a problem for most of you but it was definitely going to be a problem for me I’ll tell you and look at that we can use this to you know just easily extend the platform which is fantastic the stone one only goes five

Blocks at a time you can upgrade it to iron and diamond as well which we’ll do later on and that stuff will then get a lot faster so anyway off the top of my head I believe the way we should do this is going by two blocks then put one one

Two free and then there should be one now got it wrong it’s that bit there is the middle so that one needs to get broken let’s do that with our axe and let’s not fall into the hole and then patch that up so here’s where our sips

Are going to go I’m gonna put nine of these in a group together and when we use some resources on it we’re going to be able to do all nine at the same time which is fantastic this chuckles those down and now we’ve got a nice little

Area dedicated to this project which is cool but going back over to our storage we’re gonna put down a chest on either side one of these chests is going to be used for like as I say junk items what I mean is like odd ones that you pick up

That you’re not really sure what you’re gonna do with them right so these books and stuff can go into that site now the other one will be for valuables that are rare and let’s say tools as well like I might put my axe in eggs I want to clean

Up my inventory or something and then the rest of the stuff is gonna go in here now since this is the one where we’re putting our tools and things I’m going to put the stone ones next to them so we can stack all of those stone ones

Together and if we look at the top of the screen we can see that six are inside of that little bit right there which is fantastic so if I’m building up a platform and this thing runs out you know as it will do I can walk over to this thing

Apparently I’m out of slabs and I can yeah just grab another one which is superb and we’ll be putting a lot more tools and just that in there now for everything else what I’m gonna do is basically just come along here I’m gonna try and organize it a little bit to some

Extent and just drop these and then I can double click on it and it’s taken all of the saplings out of my inventory and that’s how we’re gonna get our inventory nice and clean and we’re gonna manage it but the thing is later on we can add a draw controller at the

Bottom here and when we walk up to this and we double click on the draw controller it’s gonna look at the entire thing and so any item we have in our inventory that’s also over here is gonna get moved and when you play modded your inventory will get cluttered and this is

Going to be really useful way of dealing with that the moon is going down the Sun is coming up and I just sort of realized we could make a bed already because we can use string to make wool and wool and wood makes a bed I’m gonna do that in a

Moment and anyway we’re gonna really complete another quest here look at that look at that right there it’s trying to make a crafting bench in the bottom of the torch looks a little bit strange so with a crafting station a tool station a part builder a part chest and a stencil

Table we will be able to do the beginning parts of tinkers construct and questing thing please make a noise I thought I’ve done everything there’s five different things there and we have all of them right can you detect that please did I did I make one of these

Wrong turns out I did make one of these wrong I made a part chest which is saying we’ll use later on I needed a pattern chest now we should get a noise in my ear hey there it is a little tinkerer okay let’s go in there let’s

Open this loot chest let’s hope we get Saint good alright BAM cryo stabilized at flux duct I don’t even know what to make of that I think that’ll go in this chest it’s probably valuable it sounds very fancy we’ll leave that for another day but now

We’ve got to plop down these things and this room here I was thinking was going to be my tinker smeltery room now tinker’s smell trees can often look a little bit ugly so I’m thinking like the room is actually just gonna be an open space and we’re gonna build it into that

Space back there so I don’t really know where to lay these things out and I might be overthinking it but I want our base to be neat and organized and be able to get to things easily but one thing we’re going to struggle with early on the game is that when we start

Generating power and things like that it’s actually really good to have things next to each other and kind of cluttered because you don’t have the resources to run wires around your base and stuff like that so parts of the base are going to look neat and organized like this and

Then other parts are gonna be a bit janky decided to move that stuff over to the central island actually I think things like this that just need to be lying around for a while can go here in the middle and kind of what I was saying

Is that the base is gonna look a little bit messy here and here anyway let’s head back to the main island I just want to say that this episode is gonna be longer than usual because I’m gonna be running a free series at the same time

Now oh and I think I’m gonna turn off f7 by the way there are torches in this area to stop the baddies spawning so we should be safe over here but I’m gonna be running free LPS at the same time which can be a little bit of a challenge

I decided that these episodes are gonna be shorter than usual it should mean that things move along a little bit quicker in them in general you know it’s gonna be less chatty and more about doing stuff but they are just gonna be a little bit shorter so I can keep on top

Of all free series so you’re gonna be getting like six videos a week from now on from me six or more it’s gonna be crazy right but I’m looking forward to it because I’m inspired for all of the series that were playing right now and if you’ve enjoyed this episode please do
