Let’s talk subtitles, or I guess it should be “let’s read subtitles” really, because the previous five episodes and every one from here on out will be fully subtitled in English, by humans, so it actually makes some kind of sense. So you should find that a few days after the episodes are released, They will be fully wordificated too, hurray! And for this I have to thank my wonderful patrons for making it happen – so to all of you who are helping, I have a few words to say… Bingo! na-na-na-na-na, [OUT OF TUNE SINGING] Tee-ooorange are jaabrrronkaaaah! [SUBTITLER] Zed is awful! [FART NOISES] [MORE AWFUL SINGING] Zedaph is awesome and subtitles are stinky… [SUBTITLER] Yeah, about that…? Thank you for listening. [SUBTITLER] No thanks to you, Zed… [FUNKY INTRO MUSIC] Hello, hello, hello and welcome back to another episode here on the Hermitcraft server with me, Zedaph, and today we are working out Why I CANNOT, for the life of me – NO! – get into my front door, even if I’m really- really really quick and try really hard at- Noooo! Now I know you’re probably blaming me right now, and that is kind of fair enough, But you’ve gotta say these buttons are pretty quick and flappy and you’ve got less than a block amount of space to try and quickly super-duper-dive through, and when you’re running this way you’ve basically got to run like the majority of the block cos the door’s on that side of it. So it’s even harder, and as soon as you get caught on the wall like I did then, you barely make it through. So yeah, I’ve had it, once and for all – today, we are going to fix – this – door. FIXED! No, we are of course fixing it with the power of scientifical redstone! So let me just grab a few bits and bobs here, we’re gonna need some pistons I think… we’re gonna need some observers, some torches, all the good redstone stuff. And right off the bat we can replace this inside button With a pressure plate, because, you know, a mob can just open this, that’s totally fine. If we have any mobs in here that want to leave Please, zombies, creepers, just on out you go Obviously sheeps and villagers and stuff know you are very much stuck here. But you know, you are tied to a wall You are shoved in a test tube. I dont think anything is going to be trying to escape. So that is great for the inside out. But this thing still needs to be a button here. We can’t put a pressure plate down Or we are gonna get all sorts of things wandering into our base. And the main issue really is just the delay. We just need to increase the delay And I was trying to work out how much I would want to increase it. And I just thought, you know me, sometimes I’m a little bit quick and I can go “Yeah I can make it”. Other times I’m a little bit slower. So, maybe we just extend this delay forever. And have it so that the door will forever stay open And seeing as we have that pressure plate right on the other side to know we’ve gotten through the door succesfully. We can use that to close it up behind us So we are gonna have to completely dig out a big hole underneath here to shove as much redstone in as we can. But I do have an odd proviso and that is: I want the button to stay up here, at kinda eye level. I dont want to put the button down here near my feat I’m not gonna be kicking the button. I need to be able to press the button nicely. Just where I’m already looking I’m already at that height, so I can just walk on forward. Well, at the minute I would fall in a hole, obviously [chuckles] We would just walk straight through the door then. Most of the redstone in, the final piece of the puzzle is a bucket of water. Which sounds crazy when you are talking about redstone, but if it’s a cauldron that you need then yeah, definitely. Water bucket is in. So a super simple little setup We’ve just got 2 non-sticky pistons here That basically act like a memory clock So when this one pushes down the system is in door open mode. And then when it pushes back up again it’s in door close mode. So you can see, we just literally see when the cauldron is here We measure it and put it into there. We put it into this block and into the door there. Boom, like so So the button actually opens the door first, and then the cauldron kinda holds the door open. And then, all we have to do See I still have this problem. If we can get up here safely, You can see the pressure plate on the other side. We just need to add a little bit of redstone dust here. Like that, so it collects it and then it goes into the piston underneath the cauldron right there to close it again. And this pressure plate still works normally Because if we’re still powering that piston down there on this side it does absolutely nothing. So we walk straight through, push the button and it holds it open forever. Perfect! Except no, not perfect at all. How dare you congratulate me for that. We have this ugly piston in view, which I said I didn’t want! I didn’t wanna have anything in view there. I still want the button up there. But to lower all this down, we’re gonna need to get a little bit funky. A little bit clever. Did that… cauldron just absorb my piston?! What happened to it? Yeah… right… I found it! It was in there! It is all wet now, stupid thing. But we have lowered all the redstone down, left the button where it was. We’ve had to change things around just a little bit Because we now have to access the door not by the bottom block here, but by the side block. We’ve had to do two torches that invert the whole signal. When the cauldron now goes here, it kind of measures it and goes all the way up. So that’s fine. The little back bit over here, I’ve also had to lower that one down a step so that the pressure plate can push the cauldron back up again into position. But we now have a problem that this thing, it just doesn’t work! It doesn’t activate this piston at all. And of course it doesn’t! It’s because it’s not touching it anymore. You have to lower the button down. But what it does do is something very strange. And this is where the funky stuff comes in right now. BUD-powered pistons, right? I’m sure some of you might know what I mean. Others of you might be like: “Yeah, BUD-powered pistons, how is that gonna work in this scenario?” Well, this piston is being BUD-powered. When you power something from two blocks above, it gets this kinda wacky power where it’s sorta powered but it’s not unless it gets updated. So, you can see. If I put a torch here like that, it does nothing. But if we were to place a torch whilst this button is powered then the piston here will update. Ready? I’ve got to do it real quick. Bam bam! You see? You see that? And now its stuck, Oh- except that I updated it again. So all we have to do Is kinda update this piston when this button gets pushed and normally that’s kinda what happens the button itself will update the piston. But in this instance we can’t do that. We could maybe try do something, Obviously we could put some like some dust just on the floor here. or on the grass rather but I don’t like the look of that! Thats real gross. We want this thing to be completely hidden so I’m afraid I gonna have to do something that I really am gonna regret. [sigh] The old two observers looking into eachother trick. Which makes it basically just pulse back and fourth. This is a really easy, quick way of making a super fast clock thats just gonna go, Bah bah bah bah bah! and spam like crazy. However, you cant really turn it off in this scenario, It just keeps going forever and ever and ever! And that’s kinda what we need, we need something- shush shush shush shush now, Shush now! We can shut you up! I’ve added another one down under here, This one here has not got any annoying, flappy oak doors on, thank goodness for that! And there’s an air block inbetween because we don’t want this thing to actually power this piston. If we put a block here, it will power the piston over and over again, We dont want that, we just want it to update the air block next to the piston. So now, when we pe-push this button up here, or we pesh it! We push it or pesh it! Boom! Now the piston does always update just like it should. Just like a normal thing, because its forever being updated, over and over again. Now this thing, obviously is causing some extra lag. But as you can see, the rest of my base isn’t particularly a lag fest going on So i think just one little thing down here, just keeping this piston, awake will be totally fine. And now, when we bury everything back up again if I even can! I’m gonna pick those doors back up again aren’t I? I dont want to but I’m gonna! Like so, we could probably put some light down there. And then we grass all the way over this! Uh, what was there? That was just some of that. Look! its fine! It works! Obviously the doors open, We walk our way through, it closes behind us! Everything’s good! Look at that! It’s nice, you get a little bit of extra piston sound effect noise. But ultimately this does exactly what I want And you wouldn’t think that there’s a whole lot of redstone down there doing other stuff. You just see a button. You see a pressure plate. You just think “Ah! I know this! I know how this door works” But as soon as you do that, and it stays open You’re like “Wait, what?!” Lovely! So that’s our new door that has replaced the one that was driving me absolutely bonkers. We can finally get on with more stuff in todays episode. Last time we built the Zombification Station Hello! And I realized, or in the comments you lot told me that adding bars and beds, all these iron bars and beds, if there’s 15 of them, and a bed counts as two Because it’s kinda two blocks. 15 between bars and beds, you can basically make the things cure up to 4.8% quicker, or something. It needs to be in a like 9×9 surrounding this thing So, if there’s the middle; one, two, three, four. And that can go in each direction as well So i’ve put them just back here, and there’s exactly 15 I think it’s 14 that’s the maximum you can have. So all of these should definitely be helping the villager stood here cure a little bit quicker. So yeah, that’s a nice little extra we’ve got in there And I finally wanna do something, a little experiment down here, with these four. That’s right! We have four now. We have a cleric to get all of our redstoney, lapizey, glowstoney, enderpearley and I guess Bottle o’ Enchanting-ey needs, that we would ever, ever, need. I really wanna test out the Test tube protectiveness-abilityish-ness Ahh, you know what? I.. I know this is for science and all that But I am a little hesitant Because this guy, he’s just about to go and kill all of my babies! He’s a stone cold killer! Look at him, he’s got the flesh of his friends in his hands Okay, right, let’s see exactly how this works We’re gonna have to try and get this guy in here in the first place By giving him a little hand helping him out. Come on, you can do it! if I just hold this button. Okay! Very good! Now… um… oh I didn’t think this through did I? Uh… uh… go be free! Okay maybe I leave ’cause he’s really interested in me right now and hopefully… he will now see the villagers? Please don’t press that pressure plate! Please don’t push that pressure plate I don’t think he even sees them. [gasps] Oh! He’s pushing some pressure plates He’s dead… he died [laughs] Where did he go? Oh no! I think… okay there’s a hole here that I didn’t anticipate Oh… he’s back.. he’s back it’s fine let me hide back out here again I don’t even think he notices the villagers are there That’s even… I thought he’d see them and he’d try and like go… go eat their faces but… where’s he gone? He’s not even… He’s not even.. Look! He’s in the opposite corner. He does not give an absolute… flying care in the world I think he saw me briefly then. But look… this is perfect! I was expecting carnage, I was expecting him to go up to the glass and scratch at it, and try and… smash the glass open to get to the villagers. What happens if we do briefly just go like… uh… I don’t know something like this… we go… Hello! And then we go… ruuuun away! Did he… did you see the vill… oh! Oh… he’s gonna press the pressure plate and… maybe see the villager himself. Okay! I’ve gone ahead and added in a little lever now so that we can control… oh! ohh! We can control… the glass thing ourselves Look at this! He’s like rubbing the rotten flesh on the guys head and he doesn’t even care! So if we open this now he should see the villager. I wanna close it again before he actually is gonna get there and eat… oh! Boom… oh! Oh okay… so if he gets there and he locks on, he’ll totally keep going for it Yeah… but… all the while they’re in their nice little secure places they are genuinely… the most secure they could ever be ’cause they’re not even visible… they can’t even be seen. Prices are never gonna be better! Oki-doki then, lets move on to the next job of the day which is back over here with the villagers that we set up last time. We now have two more… I thought that was a creeper. I so thought that was a little creeper face just looking at me through the window. But no! It’s just a carrot-y bush. That’s totally fine. Hello gentlemen! Gentlemen?? Where… Oohh! Hello. We got a trickster on our hands! Our potatoes and carrots are flowing in very, very nicely. Goodness me, guys. You have been going like crazy. Oh go on! Throw! I have never once seen any carrots or potatoes Actually being thrown and yet it must be happening because they’re gathering in here. So, I don’t know how you’re doing it all sneakily under the table. Under-the-table-deals or something. Look, you’re picking them up for sure! But just… no… no throwage over here. Down below I have added, between episodes, two more villagers: One guy has all the wheat you could ever wanted. And this is still using LogicalGeekBoy’s designs here. This one is slightly different for the wheat and the beet… root. That is right. Who remembers this thing? [MUSIC] ♫ Wheat or beet. Wheat or beet. ♫ ♫ Wheat or w-w-w-wheat or beat ♫ ♫ Wheat or beet. Wheat or beet. ♫ [RAPPING] We’re gonna be getting our thumbs green. We’re gonna be getting our hands dirty. You know what? No! I don’t want it. No matter how many times I say wheat or beet ♫ Wheat or beet. Wheat or beet. ♫ ♫ Wheat or w-w-w-wheat or beet ♫ [NORMAL VOICE] And the issue before was that I didn’t have enough beetroot seeds to kick-start the system. But now not only have I got enough to kick-start the system, I am punching and walloping and doing All sorts of horrible violent things to the system. Go on! Throw the carrots! Throw the potatoes! Double throw! They’re just gonna look. They just look at eachother in intently for a while and then he walks off! It’s almost like they can’t do it when I’m watching or something like that. I don’t know. Right, if we head in here we should be able to throw this guy… Oh this is gonna be a tricky jump Aha! I made it! It’s fine. See? I can’t go in an iron trap door properly thing. But I can go in a stupid hole in the wall so here. If you take all of these seeds you should take so many of them that you literally can’t pick it up. this will fill his inventory. I think he’s got like eight inventory slots. There, he’s already full he can’t take any more and now you’re just gonna try You’re gonna have to plant all those. I guess I could help pre-plant a little bit And it is already producing some stuff there we go, 21 beetroot, 29 beetroot seeds. We also got the wheat and the wheat seeds coming in there but that is not what today’s job is all about. We need to get all of these goodies, all of these potatoes and carrots and stuff as well out of this place, and I’m thinking we’re going to go out through the roof here. And we need to get it all the way over to where the trading is going to happen Because that’s what these are mainly for. We’ll be using some of them for breeding but some of them for trading with as well. The breeding’s going on there, trading’s going on there, this is over here. We have a problem, we need to make a plan Of how we’re going to get this over there. Plan mode activated! With a capital “Plan” [chuckles] So we’ve got here the world of which we need to get it to we need to go from this place to this place. Now you’d think, a lot of the time you’d just Sort of go – whoop – in a big straight line A to B! No no no, that is not how we are going to be doing this. I’m thinking the most scientific way probably is to come over here go down into the ground, under the ground, up over there, round over there, Do a little twirl over here, down through a pipe over and in. And you can see that is probably a much neater, much more, much more scientific way of traversing from point A to point B, going through points C, D, G and M on the way. So we have our upwards tubes plugged in. Oh they’re pumping out stuff already! We have one there for the carrots and the potatoes one here for the other two things that I’ve forgotten right now and a simple little circuit there. If there’s anything in this dispenser – dropper thing here It will just shoot it straight out. So if we head on in and hopefully fill it up with water that’s our main source of moving everything around so we’ll do a full, full tube up of water right to the brim. Excellent! Break our way back down. And the other side is a little bit shorter so that’s easier to do from the top. Fantastic! Oh no! There’s so much stuff coming through. [laughs] More! There’s more stuff coming up. I didn’t want to put bubble columns in here because items just flow naturally anyway so it’s a little bit more slower. You can kind of see what they are doing as they float on up. But yeah, a smart guy would probably have turned these farms off briefly while they were busy making these tubes. But yeah, we are just going to continue on. And I think we are going to bring these two up and join them together in the middle and then we are going to send them off the roof this way. Down and over the edge into the floor. I think that’s the best most scenic route for both the carrots, the potatoes And for us to be watching those things as well. We want to give them a good time of course before they are imprisoned forever in the villagers bellies or backpacks or whatever they do with them once we have traded. [timelapse music] Lovely, there we go. We have a nice big veggie bazooka now. You can see the items come up and they kind of wiggle back and forth between this join here a little bit and then eventually – shrooom – they go straight flying down the shoot at massive velocity And they go and land very messily down here. This is why we will be digging a three by three hole to try and collect everything and make sure it all goes in and nothing is wasted. But it is quite a lofty, a lofty amount that it flies over. Oh, there is one piece over here but most of it landed down there Maybe that was my fault. Oh there is more coming through! [gasps] Oooh! Okay alright, we might need to look into that and stop being so bazookery please. You can see that we can actually make a nice path going underneath the vegetable throwage right here. I think that would be quite nice. I don’t know what we are going to be building over here yet but definitely having a path there would be nice So now underground… I’m gonna pick all this up. Look how much there is! We’re gonna down under the ground and then back up… somewhere else. [timelapse music] And behold the reverse tap! Or Pat as I like to call them. This, you’d think items would come along here And drop down and go down into this hole here. But no no no, you’re very wrong. They actually come up out the floor. So they go down underground there, whizz all the way along, whizz all the way over. Bam! Into here, they fly up, through bubble power extreme! Go into the end of Pat here. And then continue floating their way up and go over and drop out through that hole into the room. So we’ve got more piping to do but I just wanna show you Pat’s amazing skill. We throw a bunch of items in. We stand back. And we watch… Shwim! Just like that! [laughs] It’s a very strange thing to behold. And then obviously it shoots over, down, and splats into our base there. So already, if we completely hooked all this up we should be getting seeds and carrots and all sorts of stuff flying into our base there. But we have one final tube section to do. [timelapse music] Oh yes! There we go! Now we have our final wiggley little pipe that comes down from the ceiling. Wiggles its way on down. I like that we are filling the air in this place. We’re making this place a little bit more dense. You know, thats what I want people to think of, when they think of Zedaph, think of Zedaph’s base. Dense. That’s probably the best thing. It goes straight into this wall. And then we can head into our little villager place. And this is where they end up. In this chest, look at all the stuff! So much tradables, and its flowing in as we speak. Let’s take a quick little tour from the very beginning again. And see the whole thing working. Because I am very impressed with this. It’s a tube, but it’s a special tube. It kinda does some fun things along the way. So, obviously we have all four different things getting collected in here. And then they come up and get joined together and spat out of here again. I still… I need a little bit of a back rest here, I think. Built up a little bit of a back rest here to make sure things don’t go flinging past. But as you can see – fwing – they fly out, they land in the hole and where do they go? Well, they go all the way under the ground. And if we can quickly get there before they do [chuckles]. They’re pretty quick, I gotta say. Maybe I need to make myself a food tube. You can see they go up the Anti-Gravity-Pat and into the system which is very, very nice. They go up, down, through here, through the door we can now go through whenever we like. They drop down and go into the wall. So we’re getting a lot more movement in the base now which is very, very nice. We can definitely have one of these sheep boinging around Every time a piece of something comes in or whenever this chest gets full perhaps. Maybe that’s a smarter option. Because yeah, look in here. This one is already nearly half full, it’s barely been any time at all. So there we have it, a bunch of jobs done around the base today. Much science scienced up. And we have an anti-gravity pipe and an anti-anti-gravity pipe, technically over there. That’s what that one is doing. Thank you so very much for watching, I hope you enjoyed. As always, I wanna thank my wonderful, wonderful patrons who’s names are on the screen right now. These people, they’ve supported me, they’ve supported the channel and they’ve helped make episodes just like this possible. So thank you all very, very much for the wonderful support. But until the next episode… A-good, a-bye! [FUNKY OUTRO MUSIC] Video Information
