So everyone I’m 0h and today we’re back with more minecraft content we’re sorry I’ve been off the air for a while guys it’s been a hectic past couple of weeks especially with school ending and finals and our school ended a two weeks later than everyone else’s That was a lot of fun no it was okay now we’re back on the air we’ve got summer vacation which means we’re going to be uploading videos hopefully on schedule that would be amazing wouldn’t it we’re going to try and get one video up every other week we’re going to try on No promises we’re also going to try and get some updates to our existing content such as our vanilla command creations and our currently released mods hopefully we’ll have those out by the end of the summer or sooner let’s hope but for now we’re going to go back to What you guys want to see mod reviews clearly of things that other people made but this one is cool enough to justify discussion guys because in this mod you can use commands to create dimensions ladies and gentlemen I introduce to you the mod just enough dimensions there’s Literally nothing I can show about this mod without just playing creating a dimension and going there using commands so let’s get into it this mod will evolve surround creating and destroying dimensions using commands you can customize your dimensions in various ways and we’re going to do that in this Video and we’re going to customize it and we’re going to make an entirely weird dimension that confuses everyone and here’s how we do it to start with we want to type slash Jed this is of course an abbreviation of the mods name just enough dimensions and we’re going to Want to do space dim builder this is the dim builder sub command and this is going to be the basis for setting up your custom dimension we’re going to want to do set world type it is done as dim type and we’re going to fill in some Values the first thing is going to be a numeric ID for your dimension it does not matter what this is it does matter that this is unique I’ve had a few dimensions that I created well as testing and playing around with this so I’m going to use five that’s the next One in index that I’m allowed to use if you haven’t been messing around with this mod then you’d want to know what dimensions are used by vanilla minecraft the overworld is dimension 0 Roah that is important the nether is dimension negative one and the end is dimension positive one you cannot use Those dimensions for this value pick a new number five ten any number will work but it’s got to be a number one billion will not work don’t try that and come cryin when it fails anyways from there we’re going to need a name and we’re just going to do YouTube demo this is Going to be all lowercase this is just a back end name that’s going to see up next we need a suffix for our dimension this is something that can be added to the end of file names that are cut unique to our dimension and custom and we’re just going to do underscore dim Five underscore dim is the same structure used by default minecraft underscore dim one will be the dis file for the end underscore dim negative one will be the file for the another and underscore dim zero would be the overall except for the overworld as weirds compared to the other two dimensions not important Anyways underscore dim number here guarantees that it’s going to be unique to your dimension only it’s not going to conflict about the dimensions good practice just use it up next is going to be a variable of whether or not your dimension is always loaded into memory having this enabled will use more RAM And more CPU time than having it disabled and in general isn’t disabled you will not notice the difference the only world that minecraft has loaded by default is the overworld the nether and the end are not by default loaded into memory remember that so we’re going to Use false for this dimension and the last thing we’re going to need to do is world provider to do this we’re going to type world provider and then we’re going to want to fill this in this can be either surface nether or end or a custom modded world provider that we don’t have So for this example here we’re going to use world provider surface and then no matter which one you’re using the odds are that you want to use je d at the end this is all one word here guys but the je D at the end here to guarantees that your Using this mods custom built-in worlds generator and it’s got some fixes and improvements to the default world generator but it does do the same effect and it will end up with the exact same world it just allows this mod to do some other custom things that are required And it’ll be important if you want to follow along with this video and do some things later down the road anyways now that we’ve got this command typed in we’re going to hit enter good job you officially did absolutely nothing what happened there was we just set a bunch Of values in the dimension builder and then we’re going to keep setting values in the dimension builder and then we’re going to execute it and the dimension builder will take all of it state-of-the we finish setting save it to a file and then create the new dimension based on It so we’re not done configuring our dimension up next we’re going to want to do slash shed dim builder and now we’re going to want to do set name and we’re going to want to put in a name for our dimension this can be multiple letters this is going to be capital lowercase This wants to be a human readable name and you can see there that we’ve set the name to YouTube demo you can also set some other things in here we’re going to get back to this when I get to customizing our dimension but for now we’re going to just save our dimension It’s going to be very basic it’s going to look exactly like the overworld so on you guys to remember that we’ve got this sign here and maybe we’ll build a beacon here so if there’s something big and obvious to distinguish the overworld from everything else I also have biomes Of Plenty installed and that was just so we could use some of the dimensions from biomes o plenty when creating our custom dimensions so that’s going to be fun a little while later we’ll maybe cover that near the end of this video so we’re going to build a basic pedestal Here just so that we can get a beacon work in beacon working there we go okay so we’ve got a beacon now we’re ready to create our dimension to do this slash Jed dim builder create as here you’re going to need to put a number after that And I’ll give you a hint this should match the number that you put in as the dimension ID earlier in this case it’s five for me once we’ve got this entered we’re just going to run the command the dimension was saved and registered we can now get to our dimension with the Command slash TPJ dimension ID five don’t forget that execute this command and we are teleporting and it’s going to take a while to generate the level and here we are if it looks familiar because it’s familiar this is exactly like the overall but you’ll notice that there is No text and there is no Deacon at all we are in a custom dimension guys and we’re going to go back to the overworld now so that we can customize this dimension further we can’t be in it while we change it unfortunately because of the way this is built and then we’re going To come back here and see the weirdness that we have created so guys let’s teleport back slash TPJ once again and the dimension of the overworld is zero and here we are back in the overworld you can see it’s exactly how he left it we’ve got our beacon there We’ve got the sign that I had indicating that this was the overworld in fact and we’re good to go in order to customize our new dimension we’re going to have to actually unload it from memory and unregister it completely so that it is not being used by minecraft and we can Modify it without question to do this we want type slash and Jed unregister and then our dimension ID still five dimension 5 has been unregistered will show that it’s been taken out of memory it’s not being used anymore and we can modify it to do this we can still use the dim builder Jedd dim builder and now we’re going to want to set some values using the set command the way this works is using JSON data which means you enter a key and a value these are both case sensitive pay attention if you get this wrong it will not work this is case sensitive all Right we want to use set – one time I found that this command works better than the regular set but you can read the wiki to find out the exact details especially when you’re creating multiple dimensions this can help then we’re going to want to enter the values that We want to set custom the first thing I’m going to do to show demonstration how this works is custom day cycle capital C capital D capital C remember that it matters this is going to be a true or false value for this specific key that finds whether or not we are Using a custom day cycle we are using a custom day cycle so we’re going to set this to true once we’ve got that we can run that command and we can see that’s been set to true with a custom day cycle being used we’re going to have to define What a custom day cycle looks like to do this we are going to set one time day length we’re going to set this in minecraft ticks there are 20 ticks in a one real world second and the minecraft day is 20 minutes long if you want to do Math to figure out how long that is go for it I’m going to set this to 200 ticks we’re going to want to do the same thing with night landing only we’re going to spell length right this time I want the night to be longer than the day so I’m going To set this to be 1,000 so the night time is going to be 5 times as long as the day time why no reason I don’t okay we’ve got our day/night cycle set but we can still modify some other things so we’re going this time we’re going to set One time still and we’re going to enter fog color American spelling of color no you in there what can you do anyways this is going to be a hexadecimal value so it’s going to look like number one number two number three and F is going to replace 215 so In other words the first number we enter is going to define the red how red is it going to be I don’t want the fog to be red I want to be green so we’re going to put zero zero next up we have green because this is an RGB structure red Green blue and we’re going to set this to s s FF is hexadecimal code for 255 if you want to do hexadecimal conversions you can google it and you’ll find all the converters in the world for you they make it really easy it’s nice you don’t have to deal with it You can even find systems that will tell you what color each hex code refers to last number here is going to be B or blue value and we don’t want this to be blue so it’s going to set this to zero zero we’ve got this set up we’re going To read the command there we go we’ve got green fog we’re not done we’re going to set the sky color two we’re going to set the sky color to be F F F F zero zero R is set to maximum G is set to maximum I feel like I should know what Color that should create except the primary colors if I remember from elementary school and kindergarten and preschool are red yellow and blue not red green and blue weird how that works but it works so we’re going to run this command get something weird we’re not done yet because we’re going to also set The cloud color and we’re going to set this to zero zero F F F F again that is green and blue that’s going to generate a color I feel like I should know this stuff but I don’t off the top of my head so we’re going to go there and Experience the weirdness as it unfolds there’s a lot of other flags that you can set and key values that you can modify but we’re not going to get into them for this video for the sake of time if you guys want to find them out there Will be a link in the description going to this mods wiki and download page where you can look at all the settings that you can possibly do you can also type these settings directly into a JSON file if you’re that kind of person you want to do this ahead of time so I’ll Send you there later with all our values we’re going to undo slash Jed dim builder create as number again once again we’re going to use five and it’s going to create and register dimension five successfully once again there’s a beacon here those design that says overworld and we’re out of here and here We are so you can see here we have a nice long night cycle you can see there’s a green tinge around the edge that’s because our fog has been set to green you can see our clouds are a kind of turquoise II blue and here we are at Daytime with a green sky and you can see we got the blue clouds we’ve got a green sky that’s going really fast it’s a little bit glitchy and there goes down and here we are back in night time so you can see how all the values that we Change took total effect everything has been changed in this place has become very weird there’s still monsters there’s still everything else so what else does this not add oh that’s right per dimension commands if you want one dimension to be specifically creative mode you can do that if you want one Dimension to be specifically survival mode you can do that but the main thing that we want is one dimension where there aren’t creepers in this case it’s going to be this one because it’s nighttime all the time so there’s way too many chances for creepers to spawn To do this we want to type slash in JED difficulty and then we can type in peaceful this did peaceful just for dimension number five no other dimension has this effect going on if you do just a normal minecraft difficulty command you would set it for the entire game and Every dimension related to it so by using the slash jed version of the command you can do it per dimension jet supports all of the basic minecraft commands that it normally has so we can see here if we go through we’ve got difficulty we got game rule list loaded Dimensions these are just some basic commands we can do seed set world spawn time we’re going to set it to zero again and you can see that it did that and it did it specifically to two five this can be useful if you’re using commands to control things and just Prove that they worked no creeper so there you have it guys this is just enough dimensions the mod that lets you create custom dimensions using basic commands if you guys liked it consider subscribing to Zenith Corpse and consider downloading the mod its link will be in the description below and you Guys can go find out all the wiki for all the extra information on this month but I didn’t get to cover today subscribe to the end of course for more minecraft videos thanks for watching guys and have a great day you Video Information
