So a lot of you have actually been asking me to do things that you didn’t know about snow in Minecraft so here I am today to do exactly that so what’s going on guys my name is Anthony I’m still dying from the hot weather yes I’m making a video about Snow so yeah as I said today I’m gonna be bringing you guys 10 things that you didn’t know about snow in Minecraft so if you guys do enjoy today’s video then be sure to give this video a like as it is going to help you out a huge bunch But anyways without further ado let’s go ahead and get straight into today’s video I hope you all enjoy it like in the earlier days of Minecraft in the earlier stages of minecraft alpha which was alpha one point zero point four there was a really unique feature in the Game known as winter mode now winter mode was one of the two randomly occurring well tides that you could get in the earlier stages of minecraft alpha the other being the normal type world so upon generating a winter mode world type the player would be greeted with four Different types of snowflakes that would fall to the ground creating snow tiles on any block that is directly exposed to the sky in other words it’s constantly snowing in this world type but then in the later stages of Minecraft Alpha in the alpha 1.2 update this feature was Removed from the game choose to the fact that biomes were now added into the game meaning that you could find snow biomes around the world although snowballs cannot deal with any heart damage towards the player they can actually damage and destroy the armor you’re wearing the snow block was added in the Minecraft alpha 1 point 0.5 abdi and the amount of snowballs dropped when braked with a shovel has actually gone through some changes over time in the alpha phase of Minecraft so in the Alpha one point 0.5 update breaking a snow block with a shovel would give the player 6 Snowballs allowing the player to create infinite snow blocks as you’ve yielded more snowballs than you need it’s a craft err we know this because you only need four snowballs to craft a snow bog and since you got 6 snowballs back from breaking the block this meant that you Got two additional snowballs each time but then in the alpha 1.1.1 update this was changed to where you got 4 snowballs instead of 6 when you the blog meaning you couldn’t have infinite amount of snowballs or snow blocks lasers are actually the only mob in Minecraft that can be killed by using Snowballs that’s right you guys heard it right throwing a snowball at a blaze will deal one and a half hearts of damage to the blaze eventually killing it back in the earlier days of Minecraft in the Minecraft alpha one point 0.5 update the snow blog actually used to Have an old crafting recipe so we all know that in Minecraft today the snow blog is simply crafted by using four snowballs being the alpha one point 0.5 update the crafting recipe for the snow blog actually required nine snowballs instead of four in the Pocket Edition version of Minecraft there is actually an exclusive feature in the game where snow layers actually obey gravity so for example if you were to break a leave on a tree that had snow above it the snow would actually obey gravity and have a falling animation and fall down to the ground But the node to me I just think that adds a really nice touch to the game and I think they should add that to other platforms of Minecraft back in the earlier days of Minecraft in the beta 1.8 Update when Enderman were added into the game you were actually able to hit An annoying Enderman with a snowball but then in the beta 1.9 update this was changed due to the fact they’re throwing a snowball or an Enderman will cause them to teleport before impact so in other words Enderman are just too scared to have snowball fights back in the Earlier days of Minecraft for Minecraft 1.0 all the way up to the Minecraft 1.8 Update the ender dragon actually used to take damage from snowballs this basically meant that you could simply defeat the Ender Dragon by using well snowballs the sound for when you throw a snowball has actually gone Through some changes take a listen to the original sound but anyways that just about does it for today’s video everybody so I really hope you enjoyed it and if you all want to play on my minecraft server as always then the idea is for later I deactivate MC dotnet and
