🌼Ultimate Bee Farm Build – Minecraft 1.20!

Hi friends and welcome back to a brand new episode of our 1.20 cozy let’s play series we are starting off today down in my basement storage room as you can tell I have done a little bit down here in between episodes so as you can probably

Tell the room is now a little bit longer I’ve added about I think it was like three or four more just like along this way and it’s still the same along the back but now we have the start of a hallway it’s currently going nowhere cuz behind here is

Just the red stone for the sorting system but that will be like kind of like I guess a long Corridor not super long but that can have other bits coming off it cuz I’m thinking I want a like super smelter down here and just anything else that we want to link up to

It but yeah so let me know if you think I should move the geode um fog glass floor situation or at least reshape it a little bit so that it goes a bit further down that way cuz now it’s obviously not in the middle which is a bit annoying

But anyway um yeah so we’ve got a few random bits over here like I just have way too much iron from my iron farm so I’ve moved that over here so that I can put it all in there same with my gunpowder it was too much just for one

Little Barrel over there and then I’ve added quartz even though I don’t have much quartz there but we’ve also got a lot more barrels across the top now and I emptied out my Sher box little mess that was happening up here so everything’s looking way neater so now

I’ve got like a spot that I’ve got like my skull and then I’ve just got the rest of the deep deep dark blocks in there for now and yeah and that means that I’ve got Sher boxes that I can actually use cuz they’re empty now instead of just being

On the floor but for today I’m thinking we will make a home for our bees I’ve got a couple over near our Farmhouse but I want to build some sort of like bee enclosure thing I don’t really know what to call it so I think that’s what we’re

Going to do today so if I have a look in here I’ve collected quite a few actually bee nests which is super helpful so I’ll definitely need those I may as well get a Sher box and and pop some supplies in here just ignore all the random other stuff I haven’t cleaned out

Of my inventory then I think I’m going to use white glass I think should I yeah I guess so so I’ll craft up a bit more of that I’m essentially going to be making a a just like glass Dome thing words are hard today I’m so sorry so that’s probably not enough

White glass but we’ll just use that to get us started I’m going to have to kill more zombies at some point I did kill a few overnight um so I’ve got 25 but I’m going to need more leather for more picture frames and stuff like that oops to

Daisy so if we come up here oh it is night time I will quickly sleep and when I expanded my um storage room I did have to terraform up here to cover it up a bit more because it was peeking out so if you look under here oh

Okay maybe not right there but there is like the floor where is it there yeah the um roof sorry of the storage room is right there but if I come over here this is the spot I’m going to put the be little home um and we’ll yeah have to figure out haven’t

Really planned this out if you dig down here as well it’ll link up to the walkway tunnel thingy my Bob so I’m thinking I might even put a little actual honeycomb Farm underneath and then have some bees up in the building up up top so I might have just like a little trapo

Access to like the farm below so I think I’ll get started on that do I want it there yeah cuz over here I think we be too far away or do I put it over here how close to my house do I want it actually I might put it over here

Actually yeah okay same same but different just over here I we’ll just have to terraform out this grass a little bit and yeah so I’m going to grab some things together I’ll pop down my Sher box and then we’ll get building okay so I have a few things

Together in my sh box behind me to make a honey or honeycomb Farm I’ve also put this little trap door here and if I go down it this now links up to our storage room area so down here is where I’m going to build the

Farm but first of all I think I’m going to do a bit more terraforming cuz we’re going to like oops um this will probably be on the edge of the be home build up the top here um but I still just think I’ll flush it out just a little bit

Here so there’s a little bit more room around the edge of it just sort of smooth this area out a little bit more so I’ll go down now and dig out a little spot um I’ll keep this side open so that we can push this back more if we need to but I’m

Thinking I’ll eventually make the walls in here pretty I’ll do that a little bit later but for now I’m just going to probably build a little little room underneath here oh actually that’s going to probably pop out oh no I think we’re down deep enough actually it should be okay yeah we’ll

Build a little room here for the bees nest so I’ll be right back for the bees Farm sorry yeah I’ll be back in a sec okay so I’ve hollowed out a little room here I hope it’s big enough I am going to be following a tutorial so I will link that

Down below the one that I’m following but I’m just yeah going to quickly pop in the farm I’m not going to like walk you through it step by step because like I said I’m following a tutorial so if you want to know how to build this Farm

That’ll be down below and then we can once that’s done decorate the room a little bit make it look all cute and then we’ll go up to the main build above as well so be right back okay I finally have fit the farm in oops sorry glitching through the wall

There um it took up more space than I thought it would with the Redstone and stuff but that’s fine I am going to put the bees in now probably and I’ll make sure the door is closed cuz they’re going to fly out cuz I have a feeling I

Need to breed them up more so that um we have enough to fill up the bees nest cuz I think I’ll well the bee hives cuz I want to keep the the bees nests for above in our build so I’m going to do that which is going to be a bit chaotic

I think with bees flying everywhere and then I’ll try and make the room look a bit prettier while they’re like growing up and breeding and stuff like that so if I grab I’ve got my eight beeh hives oh also I have no idea why these two bees now stacked but these didn’t does

That mean that they’re empty it shouldn’t that yeah I was super confused by that um um so I’ll grab one of those I’ve got a bunch of flowers oh I will need the glass to block them all in eventually as well so I think I might even put a

Little bit oh I was going to actually replace these blocks with Glowstone to light up the area yeah so you can see there’s like quite a bit of redstone there and I had to put grass above it cuz it kind of poked out of the ground um up above but that’s okay so

Yeah if I do that I’m not sure what blocks I’m going to put on the roof yet though H okay figure that out in a second I put the floorboards down cuz I knew I wanted to put glass above that so now if I put so these are all empty

They’re all going to go there how am I going to access those I didn’t think that far ahead cuz the other design like the tutorial I’m following is free up above H okay I’ll have to maybe make a secret ENT or I could use slabs probably I

Slab there I could still reach in and then just have glass on top that might work okay let me go grab some Slabs so if I just do this then I can still access the dispensers that makes sense right and then put glass on top once there be bees Z full I think that works I means so we can see all the glowstone but I don’t think that necessarily a bad

Thing okay so let’s see if these two have be in them um I’ll have to do that before I Sho them just in case does not sound like it these are the two nests that were out near my farm so perhaps those bees got lost and drifted away because

That does happen the be AI is not the smartest okay well that’s a bit of a bummer so now this one should have these right there’s one please have more than one yes okay so yeah I’m going to spend a bit of time breeding them up and then also putting in some

Floor which I was just using slabs cuz that’s just what I had in a lot of Um yeah so I’ll finish that and then once I’ve got enough bees I’ll be right back okay that took way longer than I was expecting and there is an an annoying um wondering trador above us so just ignore those sounds I’m pretty sure each Hive has three bees now I think I hope

So and I I’m worried that the slabs are going to like some of the honeycomb seems to be like flying out so I’ll have to keep an eye on that I do have some more glass so I was going to make some more bottles cuz it takes actually a lot of

Bottles to fill this up properly okay there we go cuz yeah that way then the honey bottles don’t get sucked back up they go down into here so the farm wasn’t working for a little bit because I realized I had some dirt blocks over some of the Redstone

Behind it that was like interfering somehow so had to change that up a little bit but now it is working okay so I think to finish decorating this room I obviously need to like place the walls in the roof cuz it’s not looking that

Cute at the moment but I would pop a few more bits back in here um I think I might just like scatter in some like bricks oops not not there some bricks in with some smooth Stone maybe even a little bit of Mossy like bricks or Cobble or something

Just to like texture it up a bit I think I’ll leave the roof um plain Stone not dirt obviously and then I might plant some um glowberries instead of torches as well because I don’t think the bees get distracted by glowberries but I will have to double check that I know they do

By like flowering um aelas and things like that so if I grab some of these bit of bone Meal um I will need some more shears and then also some yeah more Stone and stuff like that so I’ve got bit of Mossy just like a few cracked not too many and then a bunch of smooth Stone and that should be all we need to finish this little room I think

Yeah see it keeps ejecting it ah there which is frustrating um I think the other tutorial used walls so that you could like reach in from above but I don’t want to reach in from above um okay I’ll have to think about that it like does collect most of it oh

Why did I put that in there wrong one so yeah I’ll just have to see how much gets stuck outside of the farm um and go from there and I just broke my ladder but that’s okay we can fix it so I do like to put a little bit of

Mossy stones in the corner oh see that that bottle just got ejected all the way out oh that’s so frustrating yeah I’m going to have to rethink that somehow but I don’t have any ideas right now so yeah if you have any ideas in the comments definitely let me know I am

Open to suggestions place around a few cracked bricks yeah so now I just need to fix the [Applause] roof yeah okay so now if I grab some of those I might move that no actually that can stay there means I don’t have to sheare that one and then light them

Up that one can be long and then I’ll might do a little short one next to it that could be cute just borrow a pair of shears oops there we go yeah so that’ll just slowly fill up over time I’ve got a few extra shears in there I forgot I had

Actually yeah but that I think is going to do it other than yeah trying to figure out if I can get a better way that means that the honeycomb doesn’t like glitch out through the slabs as well and I will have to obviously come in here from time to time to fill up

More bottles and more shears as they break but I think that is a good start on that so I’ve going to clear out my inventory maybe get a few extra bits of pieces together in my Sher box and then we’ll get to work on the build up top

And it’s night time so I’ll have a quick nap okay so normally I plan out builds in quite a lot of detail but I am completely winging this one so I have no idea how this is going to go it’s only going to be like a little simple build

Like it’s not going to be you know as elaborate as last episode but I’m thinking I might start off by trying to get a nice looking cherry tree to grow in the middle and then we can figure out how big the circle needs to be I guess and work backwards from there

But yeah I don’t know um I want that trap door to be centered on kind of like the back or side wall so I’m thinking if I try and grow one like here no I hate it okay um I need more room in my pockets so I’ll

Just dump a few bits of pieces in here for now and we will try again that’s just the same but facing the other way okay I really didn’t want to have to build a custom tree cuz I don’t really know how to build custom trees but I will if I have

To okay that’s more like it but that is huge how many blocks across is that I don’t even know like 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 oh that might work you can hear all the bees underneath us which is cute okay yeah I think we can work with this

So I’ll grab some glass and just kind of start I’m using see um plots plz. co.uk as my circle guide but now I’m thinking this might not be big enough so if that’s the Center go something like that or do I need to go bigger okay maybe if I prune the tree back a bit just to make it a little bit smaller let’s try that um actually I’ll justop keep doing that it’s going to have to be quite tall to

Fit the tree in as well hadn’t really thought of that okay how does that look yeah that’s not too bad that’s pretty cute okay so if I build the walls up a little bit and see how tall we need to make this layer okay and I’m out of glass I knew

That was going to happen have to make some more so I think I’ll push this back here just a tab okay I just screw another tree because it was off center and that would have bugged me so I’m going to have to trim the leaves back again but I will

Just keep I guess building up the build and see how much we have to trim off cuz this one looks even taller but I don’t know if it’s just taller from this angle I don’t know I’ll make it work I still haven’t gotten more glasses so I better go do

That okay I decided uh oh I was so confused what those white dots were but it’s the [Laughter] glass okay I am going to try something I don’t know if it’s going to look dumb but on these big sides I think I’m going to put like a big

Window cuz the white glass is cool but it is quite White so I was thinking maybe doing something like this with what like clear panes I don’t know if that’s a good idea it could be cool it is very like clear yeah so if I put in some big

Windows this side isn’t even built up high enough yet but that’s all right I think they will be a good idea I think definitely going to have to do something for this front side cuz it just looks like super weird just having one little tiny door but I’ll get to

That but otherwise I think the windows are going to look good is that one all filled in or am I messing a piece There I’m going to have to get rid of a lot more leaves if I’m going to make this roof so I’ll just I guess Shear them as I go um yeah cuz it’s supposed to kind of like Dome inwards It looks kind of weird um but we’re going to do some detailing obviously and hopefully that helps cuz it’s a bit ugly right now I think if I lower this down so it’s a flut roof that might help and then around the edge I think we’re going to do no actually down lower

We’ll do a trim so just in these Corners I’m going to do some fences oh I need more dirt to fix up that back corner there we go that’ll do for now and I’m also going to need more fences okay so now I need to fix this front section

Okay I don’t like it at all so let’s try and fix it um um okay I think that’s slightly better but now I don’t like that so I think we’ll put more slabs just to make it a slightly smaller roof um like that yeah I think I like that

Better okay so I’ll continue putting trap doors Around yeah I think it’s getting there for sure um I could no I don’t have any blueberries I was going to should I put blueberries around the Outside could also just put a lantern there maybe a full block nope that looks ugly as well oh I know actually I have an idea but we will have to go to our be Farm see how it’s going nice and while we’re down here I will grab a

Lantern so if I put a little honey block there because it’s our little bee home I think that’ll be cute wait okay might have to fix that cuz that is super weird and I do not like that all right we’ll just see get started on the inside so we’re obviously going to need

Some bees nests make sure all the doors are closed double check the windows okay that one must have been empty might get one more Nest there so we in now going to get some more pink petals cuz obviously we need quite a few of those and I’m going to probably use a

Few frog lights for light but then I might actually cover some up with must carpet definitely put a couple of aelia plants around I’ve got some Burns which just like my favorite oh I’ve also got a little bit of Co and rooted dirt as well to sprinkle

Around and then I will sprinkle around a few more L carpets as well just to give the ground a bit more variety yeah I think that’s really cute so now we just plant Lots more flowers there you go make a Baby I got I had some Panties and of course it’s Spore Spore Blossom jeez just get the party articles going up to Max in here can also plant those around cuz they’re not going to grow in here they’re really picky with how much space they want um before they grow so I think that should be fine what

Else few more pink petals and maybe a bit of path oh maybe not there yeah I think this is so cute cute I love it let me know down in the comments what you all think about it I think it’s really really cute I probably could put some campfires under some of their

Beehive so I can cheer them but obviously we have the farm so that’s not really necessary oh it’s so cute and I’ll definitely have to link up some of this path to the house soon let’s get it looking Lush and overgrown out here stop it’s so
