What’s going on welcome back to a brand new video on the channel and today I’m gonna show you how to dramatically increase performance on your minecraft mod packs and minimize lag now today I figured I would make this video because when I first started playing minecraft mod packs I had a big lag and crashes you and I never understood because I thought that I had a decent PC they had a pretty good processor pretty good graphics card and a decent amount of RAM but today not today for a while I’ve actually known about this problem but I figured I’d Share it with you guys so you guys don’t have to live with the pain of trying to play minecraft mod packs and you know not really being able to because of lag so just a disclaimer this might not work for everyone it really does depend on What type of PC you have you’ll see in a second when I show you guys this fix so first things first you guys are gonna want to head over to the twitch launcher go to mods my mod packs and then just find the mod pack that you want to use For example for this for this video we’re gonna be using the crack pack 3 mod pack so then you’re gonna want to head over to the setting icon right here at the top right click on it and then go to profile options now right here we’re gonna focus on memory settings so right Here under memory settings you’re gonna see use system memory settings you’re gonna want to uncheck that now the default uses the memory settings is 2,000 megabytes it might be a little bit more it might be a little bit less for you but the point is the default system Memory settings is around 2 gigabytes of RAM now this is the problem you might have like more gigabytes of RAM but twitch is actually limiting it to only 2000 or 2 gigabytes of RAM so that’s what we need to fix but before we go ahead and change that to like the Maximum amount of RAM we need to figure out how much RAM you actually have now if you already know that’s fine this will only take like 10 seconds to show so at the bottom left click the Windows Store right click on the Windows Start and then a pop-up will Come up you’re gonna want to click on system and then under device specifications you’re gonna look for installed Ram now as you can see I have 16 gigabytes of RAM now if you have eight or like you know 24 or something whatever you’re just gonna want to split that number or just Remember this number for now I have to explain something first so in the beginning of the video I said that this might not work for everybody and this is where it might end for you and I’m really sorry if that’s how it ends if you have 4 gigabytes of RAM you won’t be Able to change the setting because ah wait let’s go to profile options you won’t be able to change the settings because the default is 2 gigabytes of RAM so if you breeze it to 3 or 4 it’s kind of risky because if you have like anything else opened you’ll only be able To have this open this might run like a little bit better but you might just lag because the breast eater PC won’t be able to run because you’re giving all of your RAM to one application so if you have 8 gigabytes of RAM or 16 gigabytes or whatever you know more 6 gigabytes You can actually change this I recommend splitting the amount of RAM you have and then applying that so let’s uncheck you system memory settings and then since I have 16 gigabytes of RAM I’m gonna go ahead and give myself 8 thousand megabytes or if it’s a little bit over a Little bit under it doesn’t matter that much but the point is to just split it and give it around that so if you have 6 you would give yourself like 3000 and if you have 8 you would give yourself 4 and since I have 16 I’ll get myself 8 now The limit is 12,000 I don’t know maybe if you do have like if you’re crazy you have 64 gigabytes of RAM not crazy you know what I’m trying to go over that but um yeah so just I don’t think it can go over 12,000 so sorry if you want to like Run like some crazy settings on it but yeah I mean that’s basically it it’s it’s such a simple fix I know you probably thought it was like some complicated crap or something but it’s actually really simple so if you guys have any questions or comments just you Know leave them in the comment section below make sure to leave a like and subscribe if this helped you out it really does make my day so much better and I will see you guys in the next one Video Information
