This speedrun clocked in at 0.00 seconds technically let me explain Hanabi was resetting for a good seat to attempt to beat the game on but what he wasn’t expecting is this scene that spawned him fully encased in ice and very shortly after he suffocates to death in the Iceberg but the weirdest thing is that the in-game timer never even moved to registering what would be a world record death time of zero seconds flat but why is that for other runs like hanabi’s break BNS world record the timer begins as soon as the first mouse or keyboard Input takes place meaning that external events and the world time aren’t relevant to the run but for death speed runs that’s not the case since it takes three seconds of world time for spawn protection to lift and make taking damage possible making over on those time based on inputs of zero seconds More like 15 seconds but I guess you could say the timer froze Video Information

While resetting for optimal 1.16 seeds, Hanabi came across a curiosity, a seed that killed him without having to move his character. With that lack of inputs came a quirk in how in game timers work, so I wanted to explain why this run seemed to clock in at 0 seconds.
