Hey guys, today I want to showcase some newer mods for the latest versions of Minecraft. I think 1.19 has been quite rocky so far with the fast updates, so I know people are still probably between versions. I recorded this on Minecraft 1.19, but a lot should also hopefully work on the point zero And point two versions. But first, a word from today’s sponsor, Buff. With Buff, you can earn rewards, simply by playing the games you love. Whether it’s Fortnite, League of Legends, PUBG, Valorant or even Minecraft and the Hypixel Server. You can earn Buffs just by playing, and there’s weekly challenges you can complete to earn some bonus points. As you earn points, they can be redeemed for different rewards, like Steam, Xbox and Playstation Credit, or you can even get some new hardware like some Razer gear, among a lot of other things. So you can buy new skins, or get in-game currency for some of your favorite games. Buff is completely free, safe and easy to use, and so is earning points. There’s no resource hogging, mining or anything like that. They’re even partnered with Overwolf, who you’re probably familiar with as they work With the likes of CurseForge. Another feature is their video highlights, so Buff will automatically record your best clips as you play. So come and join millions of other gamers and earn Buff Points for free. You can find the link in the description below. If you’re quite new to Minecraft, or still feel like you have a lot to learn, then you might like the Lexicon mod. When you first start up a world, a book will appear in your inventory, called the Lexicon of Minecraft. When you open it, you’ll find lots of useful information, like how you can survive the first night. But there’s so much more useful information contained inside, like what Pickaxes to use on each ore, as well as the height level to find them on. Or you can read about every creature, with information like where to find them, and how to breed or tame them. What you essentially have is the entirety of the Minecraft Wikipedia, stored within this compact book in-game. This next mod will allow Villages to spawn underground. It’s not like Stoneholm, as no new structure types are added. Instead, just expect to find Vanilla Villages spawning within caves. Though they can be made up with some new blocks to match their surroundings, like Deepslate and Dripstone. With caves in Minecraft being so dark, these aren’t going to be safe places either for Villagers. So you’ll either want to be lucky or fast, as lots of hostile creatures are going to spawn within them too. Another mod to change the underground areas of Minecraft is Better Mineshafts. Now, there’s 9 different variants to a Mineshaft. They can be themed around Oak, Mangrove, Jungles, Stone, Spruce and more. A few changes are also made to their generation, and I think they feel larger and more spacious in general. Something that I’ve previously mentioned as a Data Pack is Overhauled Villages, but it’s now been turned into a mod too. It adds lots of new variants to both Villages and Pillager Outposts, with the vanilla versions also being transformed. Alongside the Vanilla Villages, they can be found in Beaches, Dark Forests, Jungles, Mesas, Mountains, Mushroom Fields and Swamps, made up of blocks that match their surroundings. The Villages also feel much larger, and more dense. The same treatment is given to Pillager Outposts, so that they too match their surroundings. The shape and style of structure is changed, transforming them into different forts and camps. It’s also compatible with mods like Terralith, Towns and Towers and a few others. Domestication Innovation brings a few changes to Pets. Firstly, animals like Wolves, Cats, Parrots, Axolotls, Rabbits and Foxes can all wander, stay and follow. Sweeping Edge won’t hurt pets anymore either, and you can sneak to hit any mobs behind them, without the risk of hitting a pet. Foxes can only be tamed by creating a baby Fox, whereas Rabbits can be fed Carrots. Pet Beds can now be crafted from Wool, Planks and a Bone. When a pet is inside the bed, you’ll see some sleeping particles, which means it now has a respawn point if it dies. But there’s so much more to the mod, like being able to play with pets, apply enchantments to them and there’s even a new Villager. Another new pet is the Red Panda, which can be found in biomes like the Bamboo Jungle. They’re neutral, and can be tamed by feeding them Sweet Berries. They can be told to sit, and will follow you on adventures. You can replenish their health with Bamboo, but they can also be bred this way too. A Forge version of illuminations has been released. It adds different ambient particles into your world, like Fireflies which might be seen during the night. In the Nether, you can find Will O’ Wisps flying throughout Soul Sand Valleys. Whereas in the End, Chorus Petals can be found falling from Chorus Flowers. There’s some more effects, and even some which appear during the Halloween season, like Poltergeists and Eyes in the Dark. The mod is highly configurable too, so you can change the density, spawn rate, colors and more. This mod introduces a new material into Minecraft, called Diamethyst, and it can be created by combining Amethysts and Diamonds together. These can be combined with metals like Iron, Copper, Diamonds and more to create all new Tools, Weapons and Armor sets. There’s between 7 and 10 tiers, depending on the items you’re crafting. Wearing a full set of Armor provides a Set Bonus, like Night Vision, Absorption and Jump Boost, among a few others. Whereas weapons have their own on-hit bonuses too, like being able to set enemies on fire, Deal poison damage and freeze enemies. But there’s more to explore with this mod, with there being new Bows, Arrows, Horse Armor and more to discover. Dreamland currently adds 3 new Biomes into Minecraft, which are the Hive, Jeweled Forest and Tar Deltas, which are all supposed to add a fantasy feeling to the game. Within these Biomes, new blocks can be found, like new Bushes, Wood, Leaves and Dirt. My favorite Biome is the Jeweled Forest, which is colorful, and features some creatures like the Egg Opal Shell and the Bumble Beast. Head underground and you can find the Hive, which features the Larva Mobs. But there’s more of course. Three new animals are added with Tameable Creatures. The first is the Racoon, which can be tamed with Melon Slices, and bred with Eggs. Tamed Racoons can be made to sit and follow you. You can also come across Penguins, which are really cute as they’ll waddle around and Even wave at you. These can be tamed and bred with Fish. When a Penguin is tamed, they can be given Ice Pops and Ice Helmets, which are added with the mod. Finally, there’s the Chikote, which can be tamed with Potatoes and bred with Beetroot. You’re able to place a Saddle on a Chikote, so that you can mount and ride them. Sophisticated Storage is quite similar to Sophisticated Backpacks. From now on, Barrels, Chests and Shulker Boxes have multiple tiers to them. Tiers range between Iron and Netherite, with a Netherite container providing over 120 storage slots. These storage containers also have upgrade slots now, with the number of slots available depending on the tier. Upgrades will allow you to magnet items into a container, automatically compact items, smelt items placed inside the container and more. Two more mods from the developer of Better Mine Shafts are available, with the first Being Better Ruined Portals. From now on, Ruined Portals are larger, and feature more blocks and decorations around them. Some of them are really big too, with some of the Portal frames being over 10 blocks high. While all existing Ruined Portals are overhauled, it seems 3 more are added which can be made From Deepslate, or found in the Dripstone and Lush Cave Biomes. With Better Underwater Ruins, expect to come across a new variant of the Ocean Ruins. Instead of being a small Ruin, some of these locations might look like miniature Villages instead, which are infested with Drowned. With the structures being larger, there’s also more Chests containing loot. So get some Night Vision and Water Breathing equipment together to go and explore these new locations. After installing this mod, you’ll receive a Trophy each time an Advancement is completed. They have nice particle effects, and will show the Advancement that they’re linked To. They’re also made out of some different materials, ranging from Iron to Netherite, which depends on the Advancement. A new structure mod is Immersive Structures. Currently, around 15 unique structures are included, but the developer hopes to double this amount in the future. With the mod installed, you can find Bandit Camps, Air Ships, Dark Towers, Flower Domes, Pyramids, Train Stations and a few other locations. Some of these structures would be great to take control of, like the Flower Dome which would make a cool greenhouse. Currently, it doesn’t seem like any of these structures spawn mobs, but some of them do contain loot. Another new structure mod is Simply Houses. This mod instead aims to add structures which you can live in, at any point of the game. Currently, 10 different locations are added, which include the Forest Chapel, Plains Mansion, Taiga Inn, Forest House and Taiga Woodcutter. They’re nicely crafted and feature lots of details, and some buildings even have multiple rooms, so you and your friends can live together with your own space. Inside, you can find Chests and Barrels with some items to help you progress, like Iron Ingots, whereas some also contain Leather Armor on Armor Stands. But there’s also Beds and Furnaces too. You could decorate these structures with a mod like Cozy. It adds some new furniture items into Minecraft, like Chairs, Lamps and Tables. You’re able to sit on the Chairs, and Lamps can be turned on or off as a light source. There are some other features, like a Cutting Board which can be used to obtain Seeds, or make Pizza. Whereas there’s some other food items like Sandwiches, Pies and Salads. That covers this video. I’ll be back soon with some more mods, including a Fabric equivalent of this video. Video Information
