He openly mimics the late Technoblade’s distinct voice, humor, iconic pig skin and video format while streaming and uploading Minecraft content. Every video carries a disclaimer that he is not the real Technoblade. What started as part of a growing larptuber trend has crossed a line for many in Technoblade’s community.
Creators close to Technoblade including Tubbo and Sneegsnag have publicly pushed back. Sneegsnag reportedly called it impersonating “our dead friend” while others argue the trend feels off especially when the original creator cannot consent. The Hypixel co-founder has also weighed in labeling it extreme.
Technolarp has denied trying to replace Technoblade. He describes himself as an intentional knockoff meant to entertain fans who miss the content. Some viewers and even Skeppy who collabed with the channel see it as a transparent tribute. Others view it as parasocial cashing in on grief and legacy.
