Mojang pushes out a rapid stability patch for console players just days after the early August content update, targeting crashes that slipped through in version 26.40.

Players on consoles have a new download waiting. Minecraft Bedrock hotfix 3.46 landed August 14 as a direct response to crashes introduced or exposed by the big early August update. Mojang did not add features or experimental toggles this time. The focus was pure stability.
The patch increments the version through 26.41, 26.42, and 26.43 on the backend while showing as update 3.46 on Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. Given how soon it arrived after the previous content drop, it reads like Mojang caught regression issues during wider rollout.
What Actually Changed
- Multiple crash scenarios fixed across console platforms
- Stability improvements for worlds loaded from the prior update
- General bug fixes without new content or gameplay tweaks
- No mention of new experimental features or parity changes
The previous Bedrock update brought abandoned camps, explorer maps, and other quality of life changes. Some of that apparently did not play nice for everyone. This hotfix is the quiet cleanup crew arriving before the weekend.
Console players should install it. If you were hitting launch crashes or random disconnects after the early August patch, this is the one that should clear them up. No new mobs, no new blocks, just the game working again.
