Java Edition

Java Edition is the original desktop version of Minecraft, available on Windows, macOS, and Linux. It powers advanced redstone engineering, custom servers, and the majority of mods via Forge and Fabric.

News highlights include experimental snapshots, parity efforts with Bedrock, and Mojang's technical announcements.

The edition hosts major events like Minecon sessions and drives innovations in PvP, building contests, and speedrunning.
