The wait is over. Mojang has named its third 2026 content drop Wilderness Bound. The update, tracked internally as 26.3 for Java and 26.50 for Bedrock, is expected to ship in the next two weeks.
What players actually get
The centerpiece is the Dappled Forest, a new biome packed with red, orange, and yellow poplar trees. Poplar saplings grow into one of the three color variants and wandering traders will sell them. The biome also adds shelf mushrooms that act like bouncy slime blocks, red shrubs, and a variant of the new abandoned camp structures.
