All the Mods 6 To the Sky EP2 Pedestals Are Amazing

Hey guys and welcome back this is joseph and today we’re gonna be diving into the pedestals mod and getting some resources set out for us for our future endeavors so i hope you guys are ready so i was thinking about today as i hop back in this world and i was like you

Know what i probably should take things just a tad bit slow i mean i’m not taking things fast right now but uh in prior let’s plays i’ve been kind of going a little fast and i want to kind of you know take it back and kind of enjoy this pack a bit more

Um and kind of you know lay back as you can see i’ve done a little bit of off-camera work what a meme um but uh really this wasn’t too much honestly um if we take out nine of these so one two three four five six seven eight nine and

I compact this i’ll show you how i’ve been doing this this crafting table as much as i love it i also hate that it hides my my recipes over here uh but here’s a little tip if you want to compact everything that’s in your inventory here you can hold down

Shift k or you can hit k while hovering over the item it’ll compress the current items that you have available shift k will do all of the corresponding items that are in your inventory um so shift k there we go and you can see that it did them all in one go

It’s just a quick way instead of having to like throw them inside of your crafting table you can just hit k over them same goes for like uh your little or chunk or pieces while they’re in your inventory like this you can just hit k and it’ll compress them all

Uh it’s like a nice little shortcut for your crafting grid um but anyways compressed cobblestone right um so i can actually take the compressed hammer and there there is a compressive i’m going to show you why i’m probably not gonna use it at least as of right now

It’ll probably be the better option later on down the road um but for me right now it is a bit laggier than uh the other method so i’ll show you here um because i don’t know how long the um being able to like use a auto clicker kind of thing is

Going to work by the way i don’t remember having an extra compressed stone hammer but i guess i did um so over here um in this it sieves really fast like i can use an auto clicker right and uh well like i call it an auto clicker but i can use my

My mouse which has this feature and i can click really fast right uh but if i compress this let’s go ahead and dump all of this stuff oh i just got in my extra diamond so i can make my diamond mesh um let’s go ahead and get this out of

Here oop i just filled it back up didn’t i there we go um but over here is our compressed so this is a heavy sieve um and if you remember i thought it wasn’t in here i totally made the goof last episode of saying it wasn’t in here

It actually is it’s definitely in here we can compress this down and it takes a little bit longer um even if i auto click so if i do this you can see all the particles underneath it those become an issue a big issue but if i go to auto click

The particles become a larger issue let’s go ahead and f3 to show you this particles watch my frame rate yeah oh yeah it gets pretty rough all the way down to the 30s because of all the little particles that show up and it doesn’t go any faster

So it’s probably going to be a bit faster to do this um now we can uh really we should be able to add more of these but at the moment we really only need one because it is super fast just by itself like i can get through all of this gravel

In like no time flat which is really nice i wish i was able to pop this in here by the way if you take a tool and you throw it in here it’ll turn it into the silent gears variant um which is not horrible uh the silent gears vary is pretty nice now

Speaking of sieves uh we can now upgrade to the diamond version um so let’s pull all of this out and we should be able to do this and this and voila we have a diamond mesh this is pretty much the best mesh as of right now there are emerald and

Also netherride but as of right now those really don’t have um any crazy changes that i’ve noticed unless there’s something with some other resources that i haven’t noticed but with your stated resources from gravel um these other methods aren’t really that different uh and you can kind of look at them

Whenever you like look at the different ore chunks and like lapis for example you’ll see that the different the the rates not really much different this is a diamond which is one five percent and if we go up to emerald five percent five percent so not much has changed

This does grant an extra piece of of neither but i mean that’s not a huge change now the diamond changes looks like that iron mesh uh with gravel definitely changes over here don’t know exactly why it’s showing this but gravel inside of a diamond mesh grants you all of this stuff so maybe

There’s maybe this is the overflow oh this is the overflow so it gives you all of these things plus this and notice prosperity shards um and also inferior messengers i haven’t made a bob farm i don’t even know if we’re gonna have to make a mob

Farm right away i can tell you what though this is so satisfying it’s so satisfying i’m hoping none of the items like are popping off the edge but oh that’s that’s nice very nice i’ll of course go back and pick all this stuff up but with the diamond mesh we uh

We should be getting a bit more resources out of this is always nice look at that inferior in essence we’re getting tons of it and i think today we might dabble in a little bit of mystical agriculture i think that’s something we can probably get into um but speaking of uh missile

Agriculture and other stuff quests this is the quest line that uh may or may not be what you might have later on down the road um during the next update this is going to be updated again uh there should be more stuff added but as of right now you do get

Some nice little rewards for some things so i’m gonna go ahead and grab some of these oh we get a nice little knapsack that’s gonna be handy um looks like an extra sieve um i don’t know what this is but we get it for making dust and yeah

We’re about to make the crucible down here also we got this we just need to make the pedestal cobble gin which is honestly the best cobble chin to make um and i’ll explain to you why later on but look at that we have five more diamonds

Man we’re looking good what is this got efficiency five on this pick got a bone to pick with you from forbidden arcanis pretty nice unbreaking one which is kind of nice and then the pun issuer another bone bone axe uh and then what is this um

Dust devil flame one and thorns curse of vanishing um interesting dust devil i’m pretty sure this is just an enchanted block of compressed or a block of nether nether dust wow that’s yeah netherrack dust so i like to you know give some tips and tricks here and there and one of the

Tips that i would love to give and actually showcase a mod because this is a mod specifically for this one task and that is to find an item for me so for example if i have a prosperity shard in this chest and then i have one over here and let’s

Say i’m trying to find i have a bunch of chests i’m trying to find what chest it is i can hit y over the item and it’s going to highlight the chest that those items are in and uh just a single mod in here that is that

Is doing that which is super nice by the way notice it’s raining it will fill uh barrels up if you have barrels laying around i do have a barrel that i made uh we need this because i have some dust and if i put dust in here

It turns into a block of clay and then this barrel will continue to fill up it’s also a good way to get water instead of doing this method the wooden crucible method there’s also of course you get an extra bucket of water right from the start if you’re

Using the quests of course i didn’t because i’m a dumb dumb and i i don’t pay attention to the quests all the time but yeah that is a another way and yeah here it’s raining if you want to stop this put a block above it a slab or whatever to prevent water from

Getting in it but it is kind of nice you can just sit here and and do this every now and then get yourself some clay so at this point i think we should probably start generating some lava inside of a crucible to make the crucible though we’re going to need porcelain clay

At this point you could have maybe built a mob farm um that is an option i’m gonna try and not build a mop farm just yet that will eventually be later and a mob farm will probably be a necessity i would like to have one maybe

Um and they’re really easy to make in skyblocks but right here porcelain so we need to make some dust dust is going to be the way that we get ourself bone mill and it’s a pretty good chance of getting bone mill um gunpowder we get certain quartz redstone pretty much everything starts

To unlock at this point because as soon as we have this we have pretty much all the materials we need to make just about anything really we can start making machines and all that fun stuff of course i am at the moment making stone and

By the way i am being resourceful i have um i have uncompressed coal which uh one little piece of coal here is able to smelt one so i am being efficient i promise i promise i’m using my coal wisely um and we’re gonna be upgrading for furnaces soon which is gonna be really

Nice very helpful as you can see we have a lot of resources to go through and a lot of resources to kind of prep and all i really do need to do is make some more furnaces so i built another pad over here this of course

Is a pad for different stuff um let me go ahead and throw down some torches and we have to get to uh some block breaking a lots of it luckily we do have this cobblestone generator which kind of makes this nice because i can do one two three four five six seven

Eight nine and we can get ourselves a good amount of compressed stuff here um simply by just compressing all of this and there we go um so all nice and compressed even though i don’t know how i ended up with an extra one i should have ended up with an exact

Exact amount but as you can see that’s not the case all right um one other thing stick and i’m gonna need i think two sticks yeah two sticks because we’re gonna have to do this and uh throw a piece of cobble up top good thing it holds the inventory there

We go because i need another show one that one’s surely gonna break on me and i was thinking i thought i had another uh smasher but i i guess i don’t have that either okay kind of interesting let’s go ahead and make that then i have to make

A uh another compressed stone hammer because that is how that is gonna be the easiest way to uh to fix some of this stuff can i add these back oh i can nice i do like that uh that little nice um quality of life feature there

All right here’s a here’s a tip by the way um so right here is actually not bad to do because 18 and 18 if we craft all of these then we can make two but if you wanted to kind of make this a little easier make sure you only have nine of

Something like if you only do nine sticks on the bottom then you can fill this thing up and it’ll only craft nine of them and that’s how many you need in order to make a compressed stone hammer or in my case i made 18 which allows me to make two which is

Perfect and now i can lay down all my compressed stuff over here it’s probably best that i lay it down like this um three high if i can and then uh this wand makes this really nice i can just build this back of course the wand broke and there we go

And we have all of it set in place and of course i just need to go through and break it all very nice i need to do this all the way down into dust so lots of compressing as you can see here we’re going to take that gravel we don’t

Really need gravel anymore compress all of that down oh i like how that fell i didn’t realize that the compressed stuff actually fell but it looks like it does interesting yeah and we can just expand it on all the sides it’s not really important how how you do that

So long as you get it all done and last but not least oh boy dust dust is the most important i don’t think um you can lift from this oh you can you can go up oh this is way better than the uh the other one mod from back in 112.

You can actually go up with it which is neat because you couldn’t do that in uh with the the one mod back back then oh i just noticed our stone hammer broke but good thing i made another one all right there we go dust

Ah and now we get to set back enjoy the moon eating our worms and sieving wow okay that’s uh that’s gonna give us a lot of juicy resources pretty quick of course if you don’t want to use as like i said you can sit here and and do this

Um there are other methods as well uh adding multiples to this area you can make like a nice little uh three by three of these even a five by five and that will work as well um and it gets things going faster because i’m sure this will end up getting fixed

In the future i’m almost positive this will probably be fixed by example in the future so all i need is a little bit of clay and combine that here with the bone mill and i think all we need is seven in order to uh to make this thing and

We’re gonna use that to make ourself an unfired crucible and of course what do you do with an unfired well you gotta you gotta fire it of course get get it out of here i don’t i don’t wanna employ it anymore just just kidding i’m gonna i’m gonna

Use you a lot actually all right so um there’s a couple things we can use to uh to heat this um you can see lava uh this is showing the generation uh but this all here is showing things that uh increase the speed at which it cooks things down so you can

See that blaze mesh is actually eight times that’s good to know um later on down the road that might be a really uh nice nice thing to be able to jump to um i don’t know what this is but it looks like just air air does four times which i i’m sure

Is wrong there’s something here that’s just not on the list superheating element for mechanism is 60 times wow that is just some steel i i always find that to be absolutely ridiculous i believe that’s always been a thing in a lot of these uh that may be something from x and high

Low light’s mesh isn’t bad torches power we’re going to probably get started we do have we do have access to lava but man that superheating element is pretty pretty nice just being a little bit of copper some glass some osmium man i would love to have that right now

Okay so just a torch let’s go ahead and get started with uh with just that just a regular old-fashioned one-time torch i mean i would do lava but we’d have to get rid of our cobble gin but do we really need this anymore i’m probably not like we’re probably

Going to tear the collagen down before long anyways so torch and then we place this here or you could break the block and make it look a little bit nicer and have it level with the ground which is probably what i’m gonna end up doing i think that’s uh the better option

Old chosen would have probably just done what i had set up by the way if you want that custom uh brick there all you got to do is take regular cobblestone and uh just uh make a just craft it like this in your grid and that will give you

This quark variant which i think the cork variant looks really nice so luckily because we have cork i can do this little number and it makes skyblock so much easier there we go and i can place the torch down and then on top of that i can place the

Crucible so now with that lava we probably want to take it and make ourselves a stone barrel and this is going to be our start at getting ourselves some other resources from other dimensions so such as uh the nether and also the end this is going to sort of start

That uh that progress towards that now that we have lava we can make uh some interesting things and we also need to get into a new mod that is going to be called the pedestal mod so we go and grab this water here over here is where our our pedestals are

Going to reside you’re like what are pedestals all right let’s go ahead and talk about pedestals um we’re gonna need some diamonds and we’re gonna need to get into the pedestal mod because there’s a lot of cool stuff that this mod sort of utilizes from this mod which i

Kind of appreciate um but we’re gonna need some of this stuff right some dyes uh blue dye is easy to get green dye now that’s a different story because green dye comes from cactus right um so how do we get cactus oof that one’s gonna be a little bit more

Difficult to come by i think i think there’s cactus seeds so um seeds right cactus seeds right this is gonna come from dirt um and we sieve the dirt with a diamond mesh we’re gonna have a pretty good chance of getting it um now we can get dirt by using

This wooden barrel um and there’s a pretty efficient way of doing this um so what you can do is you can take your hammer uh we can probably upgrade and make an iron hammer i think that will give it a little bit more durability hopefully take this and we’ll make an iron version

Of this and let’s grow some saplings and uh what you can do is instead of harvesting the wood you can use your iron hammer on this and uh that’s gonna get you something a little bit different you could also harvest the leaves that’ll be another thing because what

We’re gonna be making is compost so now that all this is done we just use that on there on the wood and instead of getting that we get sawdust right for the wood this sawdust can then be thrown in here and composted down into dirt so great way of getting dirt blocks

Takes a little bit of time for compost as you can see but as soon as it’s done bam we have a piece of dirt and uh we’re gonna have to sieve this dirt to hopefully get some seeds hopefully it gives us a cactus seed no we did not get a cactus seed

So we could take you know go down here and harvest the rest of that i kind of want to leave this alone i want to leave this area alone here um there are other things we can compost we can compost saplings we can compost leaves all kinds of different stuff so i’m

Actually going to make a few more of these barrels unless we just get a cactus seed right away that would be kind of nice though cactus seed no cactus seed now that i have the cactus seed you just literally place it on some sand and you get yourself

A cactus i’m gonna let this one grow but this one i’m gonna take for myself and i’m gonna utilize this now i think apotheosis is in here so this should grow like to an infinite height um and i am gathering a bit more of this

I’m hoping that i can get a little bit like a different saplings ooh end up getting the ancient spores that’s gonna be useful later on this is a way of getting the different saplings you can see i have an acacia sapling here and uh ancient spores is another thing

That i was kind of after so i’m glad i ended up getting those now like i was saying um stone barrel i think i have that oh we have a stone barrel already over there okay so stone barrels already done i have my wooden barrels i need to make dyes right

We need red dye um that’s gonna come from the bone mill so that’s why i wanted to keep this grass patch here of course i think you can get grass seed from this uh from sieving but yeah it’s probably best to do this as you can see that’s how we

Get the little flower here that’s going to get us the red dye the blue dye is going to come from lapis and the green dye is going to come from this piece of cactus being smelted up over here our inventory is just kidding like crazy full

Let’s just go ahead and clear a lot of stuff out we don’t need all right and then yeah cactus you’re gonna go ahead and head in here for a nice little cooking now you’re going to get yourself cactus paste but uh that’s i think to waterproof

Piping no it’s used to make a block oh that’s nice all right so this could be cactus screen all right so let’s get back into the pedestal mod which is what we’re kind of working towards right um so over here is a pedestal it’s very simple but we need this wand first

The linking tool and like i said this is going to require all this and we do need a stick but we should have everything we need to make this perfect now all we got to do is make ourself the pedestal which is going to require some slabs i

Think i have stone slabs yeah i have enough of them over here and i’m gonna go ahead and just make one pedestal for right now uh i also need to make this so this is going to be a cobblestone upgrade and we need i need to get used to to messing with this

Because this is gonna be probably a normal thing that we’re gonna have to be making um it’s gonna require a bucket of lava and a bucket of water luckily i have four buckets of lava built up over here from just uh getting things going and there we go we

Have a pedestal upgrade so we have a pedestal and an upgrade and i used to think that this thing was literally just for showing off items because you can of course place an item on it and it kind of nice spins around and all that but if i throw this cobble gin

Upgrade on it it now starts producing cobblestone and it will hold a stack of cobble j or cobblestone in here but then after it’s full there it will start to store in its buffer and it has a buffer that is what i would call infinite

It’s max int which is like it’s like 2 billion some odd uh which is a pretty high number you can look up what maxent is and you’ll get the exact number um but it will store that much cobblestone but this isn’t just used for cobblestone we’re gonna be using this to generate

Other resources this is where this really comes in handy you can see if we put gilded’s black stone underneath it we can get black stone if we put blue ice underneath it we can get ice it’ll generate same for all of this other stuff purpur blocks we get

In stone if we put nether bricks we get netherrack so i want to go ahead and get netherrack and how we’re going to get another brick well you just smelt netherrack down right so we need to find a way to get nether rack and it’s actually quite easy

We need to put lava inside of a stone barrel hit it with some redstone and we get netherrack out uh so let’s grab some redstone and we should have a bucket laying around that of course has water in it i guess that consumes your bucket doesn’t it that’s one of the few recipes

Oh no it doesn’t consume your bucket look at they’re right there perfect so i can go ahead and fill this this has three buckets so we’re not gonna get everything just yet but if i hit that with uh redstone you can see we get another rack

So that’s how we’re gonna go about doing this and this is how we’re gonna start generating the netherrack resources um and i’m sure when we sieve crush netherrack we’re gonna get some things that we probably can only get from that biome right so we almost have this we’re

Getting really close to hitting that extra bucket but i can go ahead and start smelting this there we go and uh then we can make another brick and put it underneath this thing and it will swap from generating cobblestone because i don’t need this generic cobblestone um i have this generating cobblestone i

Want this to start generating netherrack because i’ve been completing some stuff looks like i got some quest rewards to go ahead and grab i might as well take those coal interesting um i do know that uh some things with uh the pedestal mod does require you to throw coal on them

As a fuel source so that’s kind of nice that they give you that compressed cobble times five yeah that’s a lot of couple in this little block wow that’s uh that is very nice i wonder i no there’s no way that would compress no no way um is snad

The salmon update um no oh i would love snad to be in here i was thinking about snad being in here that would be kind of cool all right so um i do have my last piece that was put in here we do have our netherrack now and i can

Go ahead and make another brick and if this works this should after we replace the bottom here it should change and yep and now we’re generating netherrack wow it does clear the buffer by the way whenever you do pull the item out it does clear the buffer

When you change resources on it so keep that in mind but as of right now we’re getting ourselves this stuff and uh crush netherrack let’s go ahead and grab it grab what we have i’m gonna keep generating it um let’s go ahead and throw some of it down

And let’s see when we crush it what all does this give you in the sieve okay so with diamond we’re gonna start getting quartz netherright scrap has a 20 chance wow that’s crazy um flux or fluid seeds so for applied energistics which i think i want to do applied in yogysticks

Um instead of refined storage i did refine storage last time i played um all the mod 6. so i think i want to go somewhere else with this and we end up getting gold ore pieces interesting in arcane dust now with a little bit of crushed netherrack let’s go ahead

Oh that’s so satisfying so to make in stone we need lava in here and then use glowstone and that is how we get in stone so pretty cool and i think i have just enough for three almost have enough for from one more oh

Give me at least one no it is a 10 chance so yeah we didn’t get anything from it so this is probably a little bit longer of a process just sort of waiting so hopefully within these five oh i still have got nothing but i think that’s going to leave
