Good morning everybody welcome back to the minecraft guide episode number 138 so ever since we got back from that adventure last episode i’ve been over here at the cow farm breeding the cows i would say it’s going pretty well but at the same time there’s not very many Ways that this thing could go wrong i think the cows maybe have like one more breed and then they should start producing here hopefully soon but today’s episode has nothing to do with food we’re gonna check out something that i definitely didn’t forget about not a chance no way one of you gamers Over here at minecraft gamer nation seem to have started a bit of a running joke i guess for some reason and no clue why it’s been kind of like a running joke that i’ve completely forgot about this one thing that we found amethyst geo nope wouldn’t have any idea as to why That would be a thing not a clue at all i have no clue of course i didn’t forget about this stuff of course i wouldn’t forget about that no no no way of course not i mean come on how could you forget about an amethyst geode they have so many uses They do so many different things they’re so useful okay i didn’t forget about the amethyst geode i just forgot to do something with the amethyst shield so first we need to get back to this thing aha there should be a pillar somewhere over here uh the pillar is going to go down to Actually go down to the skeleton spawner so i think we want to just go to the cave oh no how do i get back to it yeah so a while ago we found an amethyst gm the amethyst yield is actually pretty close to the base and conveniently this Amethyst geode is also located in the mine shaft and inside of that mine shaft i found two spider spawners that were pretty close to each other i’m definitely considering setting up a double spider spawner inside of the mine shaft give us another reason to come over here Today we’re gonna check out the geode and set up a little bit of a like a zone okay so here it is the mine shaft it’s been so long i’ve missed you so much mine shaft actually not at all but it has been a really long time I’m insanely low on iron so hopefully uh maybe at some point i had the chance to come over here and get some of this iron here and i also never finished scaving out the mine shaft maybe we’ll do that too but first the geode so geode uh it should be somewhere near Over here i think it was kind of close to i i think it was maybe close to the double spider spawner we have one right there uh we have the other spider right there and then the geode so this find was actually a pretty good find like i was very Very excited about this wasn’t expecting it at all amethyst yields can be common but at the same time they can be a dungeon oh no no way another spawner okay this is amazing at this point this is getting obnoxious what is this okay buddy okay buddy at this point this is getting obnoxious This is the third type of a spawner that we put well actually fourth fourth type of smaller that we found over here now we have a zombie one we have a skeleton we have cave spider and now apparently we’re going to have normal spider 2. yeah this definitely wasn’t the way the Geo not quite but i mean i would not complain at all and actually this is kind of an amazing development because this cave spider spawner down here definitely never saw this one too and look at this thing they’re like almost on the same level now these spiders are like way bigger than Those ones so that might be tricky to farm together but i think we could totally do that like we could totally pull that off oh my gosh this is amazing uh yeah wasn’t expecting that at all uh i definitely have to get that thing a little bit uh A little bit safer though for sure wow wow i can’t believe it i can’t believe it like this thing is actually real like this is reality right this is insane like this is the closest i’ve ever found three spawners in the quickest by far like all three I think we found the zombie and the skeletons monitoring like the same exact episode and then this one i mean it’s been a while but wow every single type of spawner that’s amazing now where’s the amethyst spawner so here’s this other spawner and hey more drip zone i completely forgot about That more drip stone right there there’s the other smoke wait can we do a three spawner cause this is a different spawner is this a different spotter uh no no no no these are all just in line so there’s one right there there’s one right here And then if you keep going a little farther there’s the two other spider spawners yeah maybe we could do a triple spawner maybe oh that would be crazy okay so the amethyst geode i was pretty uh surprised about this find because amethyst geodes aren’t really exactly common i mean at The same time they’re not insanely rare amethyst geos are actually going to have a 1 in 53 chance to generate in a chunk when the world’s generating which doesn’t sound like much but it’s actually not too bad at all i mean if you think about it how many chunks are in the world Um yes yes many chunks in the world and yeah yeah one in 53 it’s not the worst thing in the world they’re just surprising to find always i remember the geode was down a hallway like this i think this is it i’m pretty sure this is it It was down the hallway and then we turned the corner and saw the geode right here and that’s right that’s right i completely missed it in that episode 100 like i didn’t even see it uh there’s a spotter right above it and i have a good feeling it’s really yup okay okay I see you i see you uh definitely 100 i see how you’re gonna be i mean i like it i i like it a lot that’s nice when i dropped the episode of me finding this thing down in the comments a ton of you were pointing out the the mossy Cobblestone on the ceiling and yeah i think i completely missed that like even in editing i didn’t even see that thing right there that’s amazing i’m way too focused on this right here smooth basalt right here makes up geode and beautiful beautiful sweet calcite and amethyst block of course in the middle Calcite is so perfect smooth basalt you’re amazing too but calcite it’s all about calcite here if i could have a calcite geode like just growing these blocks oh i would have like many calcite geodes okay so we’re going to want to break into this thing uh realistically we Could just mine any of these blocks we could put them all back down other than the budding amethyst block we can all break these like normal aha the entrance now i don’t know how smart this is gonna be well we’re just gonna go for it what do we have we have a cave Right here okay and the geode the beautiful geode we’re completely cut off this is safe this is good this is best case scenario honestly look at this thing the geode this is so amazing so of course i’m 100 sure all of you know about geodes this is a geode right here it’s beautiful It’s amazing looking at it in minecraft 1.17 uh not updated in 1.17.1 it’s the geode it’s so cool looking this is one of my favorite parts about 1.17 they’re really interesting this is where you find calcite smooth basalt and amethyst amethyst grows inside of the geode so this is a pretty important Geo to us this is the first shia that i found in this world the only geo that i found in this world this is amazing what i think we definitely want to do is set up more of a like a permanent set up here so i can Come over here and farm this stuff now i’m pretty sure that this is what a fully grown amethyst cluster looks like this one right here if i mine this uh with the pickaxe amit the shard for amethyst shark if i take the amethyst shard over here It’s an easy recipe four of these things for one block this is what the copper recipe should be this is what the amethyst black recipe is here it is so what i think we want to do to start off is harvest all the fully grown aim at this cluster so these Things will grow back on the budding amethyst block i think this is fully grown this is definitely fully grown ready they go to and you and you and then there’s some on the ceiling too but we’ll come back for those so now that those blocks are freed Up uh the amethyst can actually grow again it’s gonna grow pretty slow i think uh but what we’re gonna wanna do here is clear this geode out a little bit set it up so we can actually have something over here in the last episode we made an amazing discovery Admittedly the discovery we made is not quite as exciting as the name of this geode but it was a good discovery last episode we found darko quote today is the perfect opportunity to finally use darko chord here’s what i think we want to do with this geo Here’s what we want to do we’re going to want to start by digging this place out this is a pretty big geodude and hey hey i see you i see you yeah yeah you go with me it’s a pretty big geode uh which means good because probably hopefully more Budding am at this blocks uh but definitely big i’m gonna want to start this project by clearing out a big room for the geode i’m imagining this shield sitting in some kind of big chamber we have like a platform below the geode couple things down here so i can come Down here comfortably like a bed and uh maybe like furnaces and stuff but yeah geo’s sitting inside of a big room now to make it sit inside of a big room i’m gonna need to find the edge of the geode and then dig and i’m gonna have to dig a Lot uh definitely like for sure what i think i’m gonna do here is maybe one two i don’t know like three maybe four three or four blocks out from the geode chamber all the way around the geode definitely above below a little bit too i will clear out some Of the space but definitely above and to the side which is gonna be a lot of digging not the biggest digging project that i’ve done i think that pit all the way down to the mines is probably a little bit more digging but it’s gonna be a lot unfortunately a Digging project like this is gonna burn me through pickaxes which means at some point i i’m pretty sure at some point i’m gonna have to go back into the caves and find iron unless i get lucky and find iron in here well i’m digging i probably definitely think i could find iron we’re All the way down in oh 16 which means almost or at least when i’m clearing out the bottom maybe i’ll find diamonds too when i find copper like this i’m going to leave it i’m going to completely ignore the copper at the end of the episode 100 there’s Going to be random copper chunks floating around the geode but it’s fine we will tolerate it you see just for the great orb alone to completely finish that project i’m going to need a double chest full of copper blocks about which means i really need to start fortunately every single piece of copper That i can find there’s iron here though and i’ll take that the other cool thing about this project i don’t have to be perfect if the wall ends up looking like this i’m cool with that that’s fine the goal is to just separate the geode from the wall it could look like that Honestly having the wall look like that might make it look a little bit more interesting definitely enhance the kv feel in here and i’m gonna hit the mine shaft which is awesome too look at this the minechat right here and then i can hear like a Million mobs up there i don’t know why there definitely is an online cave like over in this direction is what it sounds like which makes sense i think it was right past the spider spawner so i’m gonna find that thing have to light that up i’ll have to be careful But yeah long story short i need to dig a big room out around the geode for this project because i don’t really want to lose anything i’m gonna start setting up chest somewhere down here right here for now fill them up with all the materials try and pick everything up and eventually I’m gonna set up a way to get back up to the surface too i’m thinking like a ladder somewhere in here maybe like over here just going like from down here straight up to the surface but that’s later on first steady okay emergency meeting digging is going Good i i’ve been making a lot of good progress this is going good i was setting up a ladder like just kind of starting to set one up and see i was digging up here look how recreated for you i was digging it up here and then the water filled in like That and it was like oh no water like that’s annoying however it’s real it’s actually real they exist i didn’t think we could ever find one i didn’t think we would ever find when look at this thing it’s real and it’s glorious and it’s perfect the glow squid The very first glow squid that we found in survival it’s amazing i don’t really want to do this next part so look away i found a glowing sack wow that’s amazing we’ll be able to make a sign look really cool with that okay but this is a really really good find so This area works for spawning glow squid as long as it’s dark and there’s stone i’m gonna leave this this is really good this is a really really nice vine what i’m gonna do in here to make it way safer i’ll take out all the spawnable blocks So like those blocks by the ledge i’ll fix those up too take the light out now it’s gonna be really dark in here and there’s no spottable blocks for like things like zombies and creepers there’s also some copper here usually i would fortune this But it’s kind of in the way so i’ll take it hey hey and iron too i’ll patch it all the way back up if it works out like adjusted we’ll get more glow squid spawning in here if we’re really lucky we’ll get axolotl spawning in here amazing Simply amazing uh no seriously like that was actually really cool and we’re back so i finished the digging it’s been a long time i’ve been dating for so long it took way longer than i thought but i finished it and that’s all that matters the digging is finally Done now i’m pretty happy with how the room is turning out i’m just coming back here for a couple supplies big thing is the dark oak and then we have to head back out so this place it’s not exactly as close as i thought uh negative 9 22 13 10. uh so it’s a bit of a ways this way i made a small marker the plan is to definitely make a bigger one eventually i was thinking maybe like a big floating hot air balloon in the sky that could be pretty noticeable but There it is uh first i’ve seen it from over here and actually hmm that’s interesting ah yes yes interesting for sure a ruined portal i didn’t even know this was here what do we have curse of binding not a chance fire protection three yeah i’ll take those Uh the rest of the stuff i’ll come back for it later this thing also decided to show up while i was working on the project what do you have what do you have nothing you’re worthless so the grand entrance this is what it is for now i was thinking maybe eventually If this is the closest geode that we’re gonna use this like forever uh we could do like bubble columns coming up and down that would be good here’s the water area nothing new in here unfortunately i mean i know it’s kind of light in here but i feel like the back corner is Pretty dark so i don’t know but anyways here we have this i’ve renovated the mine shaft added one of these things over here added this in here i don’t exactly have a lot of iron so we’ll add some chains in there eventually but here it is okay so ignore the torches please Like pretend you don’t see those and then right there look at that mineshaft floor or spawner floor that’s the spider spawner up there so if we end up making a spider farm out of that thing uh we’re gonna have to change the floor out i think it’s kind of cool looking Though for no oh no no no no oh no i guess i didn’t light it up very well oh no no no all right we have to be careful around this geo because the budding aim of this block the cracked one is kind of like a spawner uh you Can’t pick it up even with silk touch and if a creeper blows it up it’s gone so if i lose all of those blocks right there they grow the amethyst this thing is pointless it’s just cool looking uh but entirely pointless now uh check this out i’m something of a wealthy myself 64 amethyst shard yeah that’s not bad that’s not bad i’ve been keeping my eye on this thing uh well i’ve been working on it keeping my eye on this thing coming back in here every once in a while and harvesting these clusters so the clusters have four different stages We have the small one uh then we have the medium one then we have the large one then we have the fully grown one so small right there i think that’s medium pretty sure that’s large and then fully grown is gonna be that one up there upside down uh for amethyst shard every Single time from harvesting that thing with a normal pickaxe with fortune we’re here we could get way more but we’re not going to have fortune today and these things will continuously regrow as long as there’s room so uh when we have a buddy am at this block like this If we want more amethyst what we would do is take off the other side expose it because there’s room for amethyst shard to grow there that’s exactly what i’m gonna do on some of these blocks where it’s easy and it looks good like this one right here we can Take that out and then that could grow there down here we might be able to make some adjustments depending on how it looks i i could probably pull those out maybe swap the calcite for an amethyst block so it looks good uh then we have a few more exposed Surfaces the focus of this amethyst uh right in here is looks i want this thing to look good it has to look like the best geode ever which means i can’t just rip everything out i i have to oh look at that a secret one i like that i Have to think about how this thing is gonna look i want it to stay looking good so probably something like that even though it’s not the most efficient thing in the world maybe i take one more off right there uh that’s probably going to do now there Are a couple different ways to farm amethyst we’re going to talk about those pretty soon i don’t think today but there are a couple different ways to farm these things now the rest of the room what else am i gonna do in here so uh we’re gonna put water all over the Whole bottom of this thing uh just make it flat i think that’s gonna look good then we’re gonna build the floor uh a couple blocks above this thing i think out of trapdoors trapdoors are gonna look so cool in here i think the floor should probably sit on That like that layer right there so we can walk around put chests on it everything like that walk over to the geode i think it’s gonna be pretty sweet dark oak is gonna come in uh somewhere in here i i don’t exactly know where uh but it’s gonna come in and It’s gonna pop up you know like above the floor a little bit hopefully i can make this like wrap around the geode or at least on the front area where we can see it like wrap over that way it’s pretty big over there we’ll put the floor in somehow i i think It should probably be pretty consistent we’ll have all the stripes maybe like coming out from the geode i think that’ll look good we’ll connect it over to this little island right here and we’ll wrap the floor around the geode a little bit now the room uh it was a lot of digging I took so long like i was digging the whole time just digging and digging when i say digging like a lot of digging it took a long time check this out uh about a chest of cobblestone and then all of these other things right here no diamonds unfortunately this is a Good stuff in this corner use some of the cobwebs up for most of them uh but yeah and then a little bit of lap is there i thought the lapis looked cool so i left it same with the iron i figured we would leave the iron except this one maybe you know what Actually you know you know what you know what i’m in a tight spot i think i need all this iron no diamonds it’s painful it’s really painful and tragic i’m not having any luck with diamonds in this world if i end this world it’s it’s literally going to be because Of the diamonds okay so only one piece of okay we’re gonna need a little bit of stone to fix those up oh yeah but speaking of iron look at this i have more iron that i started this friday after i smelt that stuff up right there that’s That’s a half stack of iron like that’s really really good so you know amethyst uh gonna have smooth stone gonna have so much iron too yeah um it’s hard to say we’re doing bad because we’re not exactly doing bad at all we’re doing pretty good hopefully i’m gonna have enough spruce For this i think spruce fences too to kind of put aside on this thing you know make it safe so i can’t fall and then this thing could probably just run right over there that’ll look good i’ll run that over here like i said and And run it out that way it’s gonna look great oh yeah and then water like i said about that too and finding water up here was basically the best case scenario because now i have water right there second water bucket i can take it down replicate the water Source over and over and over again and it works out free water for everywhere it literally just works out like that couldn’t be any more perfect so while i finish up today’s project i’d like to talk a little bit more about this geode this geode is a big geo that’s a special geo2. Like size-wise this thing is massive this has a ton of potential if i didn’t care about looks i could probably rip out like a lot of these blacks and have so many budding ambitious blocks this is a really good thing to have this also is the first gm kind of a Special geode on this build i’m clearly going the aesthetic route i want this thing to look really really nice uh but if we have to like if i can’t find another geode if there are no geos or closer to my base then i’ll come back here potentially maybe And consider optimizing this geode a little bit more take out some more blocks and get some more of the budding amethyst exposed have a better farm the thing with the amethyst geode is we need this thing to be loaded in this thing is so far from the base i Didn’t even realize like how far it is i don’t think there’s a chance at all like not a chance so this thing is loaded in while we’re back over at the base which is kind of a problem for farming amethyst of course eventually the plan is to have so many amethyst more Emphasis than i could ever need but i’m not gonna be able to do that if the geode isn’t loaded in this shield is a great gene and i’m very excited about it i like having the geode for sure but what i’m saying is we need another geo We’re going to have to find another geode hopefully closer to the base if that’s even possible you know i don’t really control these things how these happen but ideally if we can find another geo closer to the base that would be amazing that right there that would be true best case scenario For now until until that moment though we’re gonna have this geode and i’ll try and come over to it every once in a while and i guess like afk or something with the platform finished back up top i definitely want to make this area look a Little bit better the plan is to have two furnaces in here somewhere a bed for sure a crafting table i don’t know how much room we’re gonna have but maybe a couple other decorations in here too i think it’ll make it look cool and then there is one final touch i’m Not going to tell you what it is it’s a secret but there is a final touch that i’m really excited about i i if it works out you’ll see us soon but dark oak fences it’s going to involve dark oak fences okay final touches here chains i Did it i did it i don’t have a lot of iron but i did i had to it was worth it so we have the mine shaft expansion over here and then finally what i did with dark oak fences ropes uh i don’t know how it works But ropes so we have a couple different views of this thing we have the top view right here which looks cool i don’t know eventually we’ll have to gonna have to come back up top and put lanterns out of torches okay just just ignore them for now but down low here oh Lanterns yup i got so many lanterns in here no more creepers are gonna spawn in there i checked over here in the corner cozy campfire is set up we have a bed down here it’s perfect it matches the kel’s site then we have this work area with a blast Furnace just use it to cook up all my iron we have a normal furnace a chest right there a stone cutter and a crafting table literally everything you could ever need now i’m gonna have to move all of this out of here and i’m gonna have to move all of this Stuff out of here but here it is the amethyst farm for now i feel like the fences add a lot to this area like looking up at the geode you have the fences like coming from uh the geode over to the wall yeah i think it makes it look really really Interesting i put them in uh further to the back uh over here on that side right there the camping area over there is just for decoration i was thinking about maybe coming in here with like slaps and and making it look more interesting but the reason i decided not to is because i Want to focus on the geo the geode is the main thing the walls are just walls i don’t want them to look like super crazy and and you know like take away from the geo there’s already a lot going on here with the cobwebs defenses the Oars and everything so i decided to skip it now the end of the episode amethyst count always doing good 64 and 40 more 14 blocks as well it’s a lot of amethyst for sure tons of amethyst now to reach the higher up amethyst uh like those ones up there i Highly recommend doing something in the middle a little more permanent maybe like some scaffolding or something i left the scaffolding back at the back of the base we’ll go with that so no scaffolding today also i think a step up would look pretty nice in here too so we’ll do a step Up and then and then this one grew that’s gonna be it for the geo today we’ll be back here soon i’m gonna have to link this area up to the basement it’s pretty far away uh for now we have the tower and then what i’m gonna do is use a shovel And make like a path trail that i can follow all the way over here i was just gonna cut right across the lake hopefully i can remember that i feel like this glowing sack that i have is special like this thing is nice it definitely deserves an item frame Somewhere for now it goes right there hugest brain idea in the game waddles sorry i’m short on bone meal me make semi-automatic bone meal machine and use it to get rid of the excess seeds yup it’s genius it’s a genius i never thought i would have this problem so quickly but this farm Over here it is amazing look at this so many seeds already i think that’s off of two maybe three harvests four macs yeah yeah yeah definitely gonna have to do something to get rid of these seeds for sure it’s a good farm it’s a good farm and it gives us so much wheat And even more seeds automatic bone meal machine i think we might have to do that soon it’s time to feed the cows please work please work it has to be like almost ready like come on like that’s so much like come on any second come on all right all Right that’s fine that’s fine maybe the children are like growing up still okay that’s fine okay not you either oh okay fine i mean i started over here these things are older after all maybe uh it’s ready to go right now one of these guys It has to be has to be okay all right well fine fine next episode
