In this new Create video, Batsy introduces a new series called Early Game Farms with Create. These farms are designed to be made early in a Minecraft world, based on when they will be needed. The first farm showcased in this series is an Iron Farm that can be set up before going to the nether and only requires basic materials.
To start, Batsy uses four mechanical drills to produce cobblestone. These drills are reliable and easy to set up, making them compatible with older versions of Create. To power the drills, Batsy includes a rotational power engine consisting of three small boilers and four water wheels. The water wheels power the pumps that feed water into the boilers, ensuring they are always active. Additionally, the water wheels power the encased fan and mechanical press at the appropriate speeds.
To speed up the rotation of the steam engines, Batsy uses a cogwheel setup instead of going to the nether to produce brass. This eliminates the need for deployers and precision mechanisms. The drills are connected to the cogwheels, running at 128 rpm for optimal rates.
The cobblestone produced by the drills is then converted into gravel using millstones. Hoppers and andesite funnels are used to move the cobblestone into the millstones and extract the resulting gravel. The encased fan is set to a slower speed to only push items up to a certain point.
To wash the gravel and obtain iron nuggets and flint, Batsy uses smart manipulation of hitboxes. The gravel falls into a canal and is slowly washed along the water. Once it reaches the end, it cannot reach the andesite funnel due to the speed at which the funnels drop the gravel. The washed gravel is then filtered, with the iron nuggets falling into a basin to be converted into ingots.
To filter out the flint, a side funnel is used, and a toolbox filled with flint is used to prevent iron from entering the funnel. The flint is immediately destroyed with lava.
Overall, Batsy is pleased with this design, noting that while it may not look small at first, the rest of the farm is actually quite compact. After running the farm for an hour, Batsy obtained close to three stacks of iron ingots.
This Early Game Iron Farm with Minecraft Create provides players with a way to obtain iron early in their Minecraft world without having to go to the nether. With its simple setup and decent rates, it is a valuable addition to any early game strategy.
