Hey what’s going on guys it’s big tony and today i’m bringing you a tutorial for this cool mountaintop castle with a fully equipped interior we’ll be doing this tutorial on a flat world which will be available for download in the description as you can see i have on here my three Most recent builds and i’ll be updating this world with each video before we start building here’s the layout we’ll be using and the materials list will be in the description and one last thing before we start i’m going to be building all of these walls out of stone but later i’m Going to texture them with stone brick and crack stone brick so if you’re building on survival you may want to texture as you go alright so let’s get started by laying out one layer of stone on top of this layout so start with the tower which is a 5×5 square The two outside walls will be five blocks wide but the two inside walls will only be three blocks wide to leave a gap to get into the tower next we’re gonna go over one two three four five six blocks one stone block in this corner and then A three block gap for the entrance and one more stone block over here we’ll go over two more blocks skip one and then go over three we’ll go two blocks on each side and three more on the outside like this on our back wall we’ll go over a total Of nine blocks so eight more plus what we already had we’ll have three support columns with two blocks in between them and it’ll look like that later and then we’ll just connect this wall to the tower then we’ll fill in the floor with spruce planks now we’ll start building up our tower Which is going to be a total of 18 blocks tall we already have one block on the ground so we’ll build up 17 more on top of that we’ll start building up this whole side to that level but skip the middle column so we can add some windows And now for our middle column we’ll start with the top two full blocks and skip two blocks for a window and two more full blocks Again skip two blocks for a window and then two blocks and skip two more blocks and then we’ll fill in the rest so we should have a total of three windows two blocks apart and two blocks tall each just to make sure we got the right Heights we can place our top slab floors in each level should have three and a half blocks of space and now moving on to our next wall we’ll do the same thing again where we build it up to the same height but leaving a gap in the middle for our windows Now our first window will be the same we’ll go two full blocks at the top and a two block window and then two full blocks but now below this one we’re gonna place an upside down stair and then after that stair we’ll have two gap blocks and then a full block And this will be a balcony so we’re gonna have a door there and it should line up with this floor then we’ll just fill in the rest of this gap with full blocks now to make our balcony we’ll place one stair here in a full block on each side And a stair below each full block And just to check and make sure we have the right height the lowest stair of the balcony should be on the eighth block up from the ground all right now to start with our inside walls we’ll build each of these shorter ones up by an additional three blocks A stair on each one facing inwards to form an archway like this and on the next layer we’ll just complete the square of the tower now we’ll start building up the walls on both sides the wall will be solid except for the top window and that top window will be Two blocks tall just like the other ones and two blocks from the top this side here will be identical to the one we just did before we get any farther i’m just going to texture all this stone we placed down using stone bricks and crack stone bricks as i mentioned before Okay now we’re ready for the main part of the building so i’m going to start in this corner here and we’ll build this up a total of 10 blocks so we already have one and i’ll build nine blocks on top of that one next i’m going to go on the side of this Pillar we made place one block one block lower and a stair below that then we’ll start filling in this wall with stone once we get here we’re gonna go over one and up one to form a slant on the roof until it meets the tower and it should Meet one block below the window and now for some details we’re gonna go down two blocks from the top break out two blocks and place a slab on the bottom of that so i have two blocks and then a one and a half block gap now i’ll break out this block And place a stair facing towards the slab break out the one above it and place an upside down stair and we’ll break this block and place another stair now below that we’ll break out these three blocks place two stairs and then one sideways there For our back wall except for the two outsides we’re gonna build up to nine blocks instead of ten so it’ll be one block shorter and that’ll leave room to place our roof on top on our sixth and seventh layers we’re gonna have three windows sitting one block apart And it should be directly below the upside down stairs each of these windows will be two blocks Tall and again they’ll be on the sixth and seventh blocks so once we finish filling in our wall the windows will be two blocks below the top of the wall of our stairs one block below the top and don’t fill this in with stone because we’ll have a roof there we’ll Just place one block on the outside for these supports we’ll build them each up in additional two blocks for a total of three and then one stair on top on the side of our entryway we’ll build it up to the same height as the other wall We’ll leave a 1×2 gap for the door and above the door we’re going to place an upside down stair and we’ll continue building this wall up so again this should be a total of nine blocks tall one block below the top we’ll go with the line of upside down stairs The end will stick up by one more block so place one here and here and here as well on this wall we’ll leave a one by two gap for an entryway leading into our storage area and then we’ll build the rest of the wall up we’ll go upwards diagonally until they Meet in the center Right here Now we’ll do our details on this wall so we’ll go down two blocks and break out two blocks place a slab at the bottom and we’ll break out these three blocks on each side place a stair and then an upside down stair and one more stair here and we’ll repeat This on the other side so a stair and an upside down stair and one more stair below that we’ll break out these five blocks a sideways stair three normal stairs and one more sideways stair next we’ll build a covering for our entrance so we’ll go around to the other side These two pillars here we’re going to build them up a bit then we’ll place three stone blocks here and three stairs for these pillars we’ll build them up until there’s one block of gap between them and the upside down stairs So they should be a total of six blocks tall next we’ll take a bottom slab and place it in front of the top block then we’ll take three stairs and wrap it around underneath that slab just like this and in between those stairs we’ll place two slabs And this will leave a spot for our blackstone roof to sit Now for our half circle balcony on the side we’re gonna build it up an additional four blocks for a total of five blocks tall On the top level we’re going to wrap around it with upside down stairs and our upside down stairs should be in between the tops of those support pillars in the windows This gap here we’re going to fill in with top slabs so we should have three and a half blocks of space down below and then right here we’ll break out a door to get in place an upside down stair above the door and now we’ll make some crenellations For our balcony so we’ll start with a stair then a full block next to with a stair on top and one more stair next to that on this side we’ll place three blocks and then five stairs on top of everything on this side we’ll repeat what we did on The first side so two stairs a block in the middle with a stair on top and now we’re gonna make some more support so two blocks on each side and then a stair All right so we’re all done with building the stone and all that we have left is the texture of the stone again i’m using stone bricks and crack stone bricks and i’ll speed this up All right now that we’re finished with the texturing i’m going to add some final details before we move on to the roof so i’ll start by filling in our windows with iron bars and next i’m going to add a shutter to each one of these windows using spruce trap doors So we’ll start on this one over here and feel free to mix up where you put the shutters you can put on the left side the right side you can leave them kind of half hanging open like this so yeah just mix up where you place your Shutters to give it a more natural look next we’ll add a railing and roof to our balcony so i’ll start with the fence post on each side and a fence gate in between one more fence post on each side and then three extinguished campfires above it for a roof And on the inside i’ll place a door right here Now down here i’m gonna place a door in this door frame as well and i’ll place a fence with a lantern on it right here and another lantern somewhere on this balcony and one more door in this door frame now we’re ready for the roof So our roof is going to be made out of blackstone materials we’ll start off with normal blackstone and mix in polished blackstone bricks so we’ll start on the tower roof with a ring of black stone stairs around the top layer Then i’m gonna place five spruce fence gates on each side and open them to look like supports for the roof And back to the roof we’ll add one more ring of blackstone stairs then we’re going to increase the angle using full blocks so we’ll go with a ring of full blocks place one placeholder block just to get it there and we’ll go around in this three by Three square and in the middle of each of the four sides we’ll place one more block and a stair on top of that block And one more block above all those stairs and a black stone wall on top of that block and then three spruce fence posts to hold up our flag now i’ll go ahead in a faster speed and texture this blackstone with polished blackstone bricks now for the roof of the main building It’s pretty self-explanatory we already have the frame in place so we’re just going to fill this all in with black stone stairs at the top level we’ll use a line of slabs then we’ll fill in the other side of the roof just like i did with the tower roof i’m Going to texture it with polished blackstone bricks the last section of our roof is this part above the entryway we’ll just go with three full blocks and three slabs make sure to mix in your polished blackstone bricks Now it’s time to build our flag i’m going to be using gray wool for the flag just as a basic color you can use whatever color you want on top of the post i’m going to place a flower pot then we’ll go three wool like this Two more here and then one more on top so we have that shape now we’re going to go backwards a layer to make it look like it’s waving place holder black to place one there then over one more and then two below it staggered by one and diagonally down from this we’re Gonna place one more block we just need a placeholder for that now in the top layer i’m gonna place a placeholder block so i can place one there place a block right here in here now i’m gonna place one two then one and then diagonally downwards one more and That’s it for our flag i’ll just kind of go over really quick in case you need to see the shape again now i’m just going to add some final details to make it look a little bit more natural i’m going to add some grass tall grass leaf bushes and some trees Of course this will all depend on what kind of biome you’re building this in if you’re building on top of a mountain like i showed you at the beginning you probably won’t want any plants around it but what you can do is build a stone or terrain up the castle wall to Make it look a little bit more natural And with that we’re all finished with the exterior Okay so the first thing to do inside is make a staircase we’ll go directly straight from the door turn to the right and place a stair right in front of us so it should be one block over from the door it’ll continue to staircase up with three stairs and then a full block Here place upside down stairs underneath those stairs and then one upside down stair on the full block one more stair there this will be the height of our floor and then upside down stair right here now we can fill in our floor with top slabs on the fourth level So it should be three and a half blocks of space and we’ll just leave the gap where our stairs are next let’s start filling in the floors of our tower so this floor just fill in all the way on the top of the fourth block with slabs there’s no stairway leading up there On the second floor we’ll break out a doorway right here in front of the stairs we’ll place a door in there Now when you walk in on the left side is where our ladder will be so when you walk in you turn left we’ll have our ladder right here going up place four ladders and a trap door on top and then we’ll fill in our floor slash roof at the block below the door Three more ladders on top of the trap door and then another trapdoor fill in this floor one block below the windows and then finally we’ll just fill in this one there’s a little bit of space on the roof if you want to add some stuff up there But i’m just going to fill it in so no mobs spawn now across from the trapdoor we’re going to place three full blocks like this and then the rest will be slabs at the top of the fourth block now back onto our second floor we just need to clean up this roof using Blackstone upside down stairs at the top we’ll use a line of full blocks And again i’m going to texture this with polished blackstone bricks also it looks like i forgot to texture a few parts on the inside so i’ll just go ahead and do that now [Applause] and we’re ready for the decorations so i’ll start with our storage area on the left side through this little entryway here place a crafting table in the center with a lantern on it and then on each side i’m going to stack three double chests up to the ceiling And since we used top slabs for the roof we should be able to open them next in this corner i’ll place a smithing table and a grindstone above it i’ll place a trapdoor shelf with a flower pot with a sapling and a lantern next to that in this corner i’ll place a barrel With a flower pot on it and a chest next to it i’ll place a flower in that pot over here i’m gonna place a double chest under the stairs a crafting table with a lantern on it right there and an anvil next to the crafting table a scaffolding table in the center of This wall with a spruce sapling and a flower pot on it this room will be like our kitchen i’m going to start with an oak log pillar in the corner don’t worry about it going through the floor because we’ll cover it up from the top On each side of the oak log pillar i’m going to place two furnaces on this one i’ll place a lantern and an extinguished campfire on the other side i’ll place a trapdoor shelf with a double chest on it next i’m just going to make a rug for This room so i’ll start off with brown wool replacing these spruce planks and make a somewhat circular shape and once i have my shape in the brown wall i’m going to take some brown carpet and just place it kind of randomly on top to make it look more 3d Now up on the second floor i’m going to start with some oak log beams we’ll have two beams and each one will be one block away from the wall at the level of the lowest blackstone stairs just like this on this one you’ll notice that it’s kind of blocked by this wall That’s okay we can just break out this stone and replace with the logs and again that’ll be covered up from inside the tower in the center of each of these logs i’ll place the lantern hanging off and over in this corner over here i’m going to place a double chest On the other side i’m going to make a bunk bed start off with two spruce planks and two barrels two ladders on the planks and then a bed on top of this next to that i’m going to place a trapdoor desk and a chair made out of a stair and two signs Next out i’ll place a 2×3 bookshelf with two spruce trap doors on top on the desk i’m going to use an item frame to place down a book and quail then i’ll make a railing for the stairs starting with a fence post in the corner a fence gate connecting it to the wall And two fence gates and one fence post now i’ll go into the tower and place a crashing table on top of this exposed log end and then two chests and a lantern on top of the crafting table on the next floor i’ll place a fence with a lantern next to the door Leading out to our balcony on this side i’ll place three barrels with a double chest on one side and an armor stand on the other side if you want you can put some armor on that but you don’t need to onto our final floor make a brewing area So i’ll start with three barrels i’m gonna make them upright this time place a lantern hanging off one of these full blocks and three brewing stands here i’ll place two trapdoors and flip them on the right side i’ll add some soul sand with nether wart on it in the other Space you can place a cauldron with water or you can just place the water directly in there and that’s it for this build alright
