docm77 – Minecraft 1.14 – All new Village Structures – A detailed look at Plains Villages!

All right guys this is doc and today it’s a special and cool video yes we got the new Plains village in the latest snapshot here for Minecraft 1.14 and yet it’s the first of all the villages that gonna get a rework we want to have a detailed look at all the structures and

That are available and possible to be generated in yeah those new villages and yeah we start right here at the beginning and I used to structure blocks and yeah yeah kind of low two different structures and I would say hello still wearing my charity dress let’s go in the normal

View and yeah here’s the names of the structures fountain one and yeah you can see the jigsaw blocks right and where is jigsaw blocks point things can be stitched together and there’s exceptions for example there would only be one well in a village in order to but here you

Can see the two different types of wells that will be generated in the village and they’re surrounded by yeah and pathways here right and yeah so kind of a fountain in a way in a normal well and they have different names this is called a meeting point one whereas this is

Called a fountain so meeting points are also in the game for example here you see another one in this called MIDI point three and it comes with two of the bells those bells still don’t have a functionality but yeah meeting point definitely yeah kind of hints right that

It’s a kind of a rally point within the villages or something similar along these lines can come with lighting and also a nice pass pattern laid out here pretty cool tree in the middle looking good and yeah next up we have another meeting point this is kind of like a little more

Market area I would say it also has the bell here to sitting on the block there and yeah also there’s some nice passes passageways before in front of it or ways and yeah here at these points you know other structures could connect so these villages are vast quite big in out

In the nature so to speak and yeah they’re all stitched together out of individual components like that and yeah here it’s quite interesting all the villagers are also you know populated inside the village then when the village is generated in the game and right here of for example we have an unemployed

Villager that is a difference to the nitwit we have two nitwit in the game too but this guy is called unemployed so yeah we will see maybe he will be one of the villagers that can learn a profession because yeah there’s plenty of professions lined up here and

Everything hints to that we will get a real a kind of life cycle in villages with professions and interactions of the villagers and so on which I’m super excited about personally so yeah here is a lamp this is the basic lamp that is spread throughout the village and it has certain anchor points

It can be attached to and then there’s different houses so the house is here and I assume those are spawn points which will populate a bed and a villager because in a in the worlds I’ve been exploring I have been seen beds here and mostly there was a villager inside so

Yet this thing probably hints ok here can be a bad and villager in a certain configuration quite interesting so just a very basic cottage it uses the strict logs here and yeah that’s the very basic house then we have two known farms small farm one and then we have another bigger

Structure right away here and that is another meeting point and as you can see it has yeah little attachments here so potentially villagers can spawn there or other smaller structures like decorative items or lamps could be attached there this looks like probably lamps and maybe some hay bales which are

Some decorative items would be attached right there so it’s quite interesting and yet this is what it’s called it’s another small house same set up here and probably the possibility to spawn a villager we were bad and it’s just a variant of this one here slightly different and then we have two bigger

Bigger buildings here and I’m pretty sure these blocks here can define what spawns on them because in here there will be animals right in the villages there’s different pens and this is one here and yeah pigs sheep horses cows can spawn inside these pens and yeah just a

Butcher shop quite fitting so probably he will have some animals out here and I mean here maybe pigs and then inside it’s pretty nice it’s a huge upgrade to what we formerly had in the villages and yeah yeah we got smoker right smokers will probably be used to yeah

Manufacture food later in the game we will probably do the normal furnace will be gone I will assume and yeah then we have to blast furnace father ores and so on so yeah here is kind of a work area for him so pretty cool flower pots in there and

And you know all kinds of basic starting materials I mean all the different tools and machines and so on villages became just way more interesting there’s more chests in them too so here we have a tannery and like a good tannery should have it has some some barrels and water

Outside to soak the letter and yeah then inside here this is one of the chests and yeah it’s kind of you know items that make sense here in the tannery right we got leather pants and saddles bit of food and yeah here would be the workspace fodder for a tenner pretty

Cool so all makes a lot of sense and everything makes more sense now and now we have temple buildings different ones so this year looks really really fancy with the shiny windows but they are fully cobble kind of a weird combo and yeah here the

Structure block is in the way and but we can get in from below inside we actually found a brewing stand and also there is upstairs and another upstairs of the tower here pretty cool so brewing stand in there neat then we have another probably a meeting point

Yeah it’s meeting point five and all the meeting points have a bell somewhere this guy is it attached to here these are animal pens yeah this is a bigger one so in villages I explored I saw for example cows in here and probably at these spots you know the cows can spawn

And also decorate if items as far as I can tell because in one for example a hay bales sitting here and the cow walked straight out but maybe that got fixed because some of the villages I checked wasn’t the older version in a snapshot not aware if they change

Anything with structures we have decorative items like that or the hay bales I managed like you know little flower arrangement here with different flowers and yeah then we also have clay variants for our houses yeah for example here just the whites white terracotta pretty much and some decorations around

It and this comes with a little porch or veranda pretty cool and yeah this is the Mason’s house so we can expect some stone cutting tools inside here and indeed there’s some tool related stuff and also AM yeah one of the song cables or stone cutters which doesn’t have a

GUI yet or so but pretty cool in here and nice variation is well honor to have some color looking good then we have real big buildings like this for example the big library it’s a two-story building stretching out far one of the biggest structures that can be in a village and

Not all of these structures will be in any village right it’s always a bit random how big they are but yeah pretty cool in here a nice design as well the staircase leading up again you can have a walk outside here on a balcony and then bookshelves around and then the lecterns

As well so pretty neat and of course those all will be populated let’s see there’s a spawn point inside here now I didn’t see one so maybe some of the buildings come with villages inside guaranteed some not and yeah here we have another one oh wait you just saw

That yet it was I don’t wanna know okay here’s another small house double door though and yeah I can also come of beds here on the side spots and some somewhat decent loot for example some emeralds here and their sources house and then we have two cartographer chests these

Flower pots and this rapid just spawned here though it didn’t come with the structure pretty neat house as well simple buildings we have to cobble in all but still inside they put a lot of effort into giving it more detail so this guy is paper and book related stuff

Or yeah map maybe met making related stuff in here of course the cartography table nicely lit up in here also some carpets around here and they’re pretty cool and yet this is the big house it’s a two storey building right here and yeah it’s kind

Of kind of a bunk house you know lots of beds and stuff in there so yeah we can go up and then there could be beds and sleeping arrangements up here in villages I explored I saw quite a lot of three or four so yeah it did all things

Point to the village was really having a life cycle right and needing to sleep and in all these things because yeah the amount of beds was quite interesting so this is a weaponsmith here and will got replaced by the grindstone as the lava here to work with normal furnaces so

That’s maybe a hint that these furnaces will not be completely gone interesting what the blast furnaces do doe this chest is empty at the moment maybe this was not fully revert yet and we will see blast furnaces here instead but yeah we’ll see butcher shop those are technically always very big

Buildings the other picture shop was also big and this one is a two-story building even with a pen in the backside here again and then this is the area where the villager would probably work and yeah up here we got another smoker so yeah if you come to these come across

A village now it’s even more powerful these days and then it was before when 1.14 comes out man you can find a lot of useful stuff in the villages it’s a big incentive to maybe try to get a life cycle going there and all of that here we have another library building also

Quite an impressive good-looking building I like the styles of the buildings they did they kept it simple and compact didn’t overdo it and it fits well with the previous style but gives it all a fresh nice feel so yeah two story building once again probably some beds can be around and yeah lectern

Again and some bookshelves pretty cool and yeah here we have the Shepherd some of the trades also got significantly changed already for some of the villagers but we’ll look into that so the Shepherd here obviously has looms and that’s that makes sense and probably will have some sheep back here they need

To take care of in feed and it has carpet pretty cozy in here nice little heart and yes some of the buildings are clearly work buildings right they don’t have beds and then there’s the living quarters and one could assume that we’ll just might yeah go back and forth between the buildings

Here’s another small house here would be another bed so wherever you see those inside of houses you know there’s a kind of a villager coming with it with a bed and yeah here we have stables this is for the animals and one can probably also spawn in here but most likely this

Is for a villager maybe he has a bed in here too but yeah the stable actually has an area for the animals to drink when is this yeah bit more of a long building clearly clearly looks like a stable it’s a side entrance here pretty

Cool so up next we have the tool Smiths also a functional building in a way quite big as well decent footprint double doors here and an entrance and yeah of course dismissing table is here we don’t know yet what it can do but well probably it’s related to making tools so as we

Have the first hints right with the grindstone and its functionality we will get specialized crafting tables and benches to do certain things maybe you can have craft tools in a workbench anymore and 1.14 could well be what do we get here a medium house so this would

Be a sleeping place and yeah already you can see here and there there will be beds most likely there’s also some of the belongings so in the bigger sleeping quarters you can also find a bit better loot this would be the home of the villagers right and they would put their

Earnings or whatever in inside of chests and in their homes make sense so here we got a Fisher’s cottage these glass blocks don’t come with it I just placed him there to prevent the water from spilling so it would be sank down by one in the ground like that right and yeah there’s

Water pond around it and here is a little area for the fishermen to walk out and actually do his job there’s barrels around it and yeah he could really stand here and fish because there’s this little dock reaching out and yeah more barrels here and let’s

Check it from over here so this also clearly points that the villages will do real stuff and have real professions and actually do that yeah and this is probably where fish would be kept night work area for a fish some more barrels in here to maybe start some herring or

What quite cool and yeah over here this is another small house it is called smaller house Fife is just the names of the structures but this acquit quite a big house so once again here this hints that a bed would be here the villager and yet this kind of has an upstairs aya

You could you can get up your desk actually a ladder here on the side quite neat and then you can get out on the balcony let’s fly out look at it again yeah pretty cool two-story building then of course there is your crops you know just

Fields like that on farms it’s called a large farm you saw the smaller farm prior and here you can clearly see these are the attachment points where these things would be stitched together right there so yeah over here this is not a small house and it comes with a little

Bit of wheat around it and water there and whenever there is water you can always see the structures are one block taller and have a little bit of dirt slash grass below them when they are generated and yeah coming in here it’s quite a simple house and once again most

Likely riverbed and a villager inside it’s still looking cool or they did the little roof lights here and yeah this is another stable different version of the stable this is also pretty tall building and comes with the territory again and yeah let’s walk in here and see yeah it has

The hay bales and a trough for the animals to drink and you’re most likely horses also would spawn out here and this is another animal pen a bigger one so yeah either horses or cows I don’t think this up to for spawning spaces here as it seems probably some are hay

And some are defined for the animals most of the times I saw top stew in there so probably decorative items plus animals cannot really look into the jigsaw blocks yet but yeah those are used during well generate and yeah they can have certain tasks they can be an

Attachment block they can be a spawn in certain things you know and this how this works and they’re gonna use these sticks or blocks a lot in the future for other structures and yet this is the armourers house it’s a nice chimney there so the since there’s probably some

Furnace in there again blast furnace or so yep and this is this work area and yet a big furnace here looking good as I said I really like how they how they made these buildings and kept the style but um you know pimp them up quite a bit

And yeah that’s the Fletcher’s house here it’s got colorful well you know as a bit of more colors it comes with a bit of grass here that seems to be necessary to be there I don’t know why this particular piece of grass or land has to be there

Maybe it’s decorative maybe it has a function but no outer structure came with like attached grass and and land like that so yeah maybe some of the work of the Fletcher would be done here and yeah obviously I got the fletching table in here and some intricate beams and

Designs in here I personally would have made those but you know it’s just me oh it’s actually that what it’s tears oh yeah its tears here mmm interesting okay so next up let’s check it out yet this is a smaller pen it’s probably pigs you can see there’s two spawn points here again

It could also be that this is decoration and a double animal spawn as I said I saw some some hay bales inside inside of these pens and so on so yeah we will see what animals are in there or how that is determined but I would not think that

Cows would be in here all right um next up is another temple building this time it’s not like a church it’s more like a flat building mm-hmm so maybe that is representing other religions a side of Christianity a bit more I don’t know because yeah that the temple kind of

Looked like a church to me the first temple you looked at and yeah here once again brewing table in here our brewing stand and yeah the white terra cotta but the same windows so seems like this whatever religious cult those people follow here they like their windows and

Yellow and white this seems to be another small house en this time it comes with some flowers in front and once again a little bit of a interior here and a place for a bed and a villager to spawn in and here this is a medium house so the bigger the house the

Better the loot mm-hmm Wow okay this almost looks like a little bit of a cafeteria tyria or something but most likely a bed will be here and then maybe not the bed of villager spawning right in there pretty cool let’s give it a look from the outside

Again yeah it looks yeah it’s pretty big building – some of them the structures are quite massive and here we have another small house different variants I think it’s up to eight smaller houses and once again bed here right and has a bit of a bench to sit in the corner and

Then of course there’s all kinds of different bits and pieces of road or passes right and also some grass patches like that in different sizes and you know strayed roads and Bend curves terminators are those are called terminators that kind of end you know the data that the roads so yeah if you

Fly by here and you can see they did put a lot of work into that I mean all these things need to be built I wonder who made these you know who builds these things we just always here we implement certain things but in a practical case

Like that that you literally have to build these structures which are later in the game and it all kind of needs to make sense and you know we be stuck together you need certain elements that can be combined and then you need to define the rules and then you just go

Like okay probably it starts with a meeting point in the middle or the well and some of the villages I saw and the wells where a centerpiece but I think it’s meeting points or probably this could be a centerpiece right and then yeah just randomly around there’s the

Other pieces attached and in the end most of the villages I saw looked really cool coherent and pretty good lively more lively than the ones we knew before so yeah that’s it that is all the new structures in the game let me know if you like the video like that took some
