shaders and stuff cuz I haven’t really done that before um and I so I would I found a I was like you know what I should do I went and Looked up a video of someone who was like top 10 best shaders and I watched through and was like I think I like I’ll try this one um and so far it hasn’t been bugging out as much as uh the BSL one so that’s nice Okay Let’s go with something like like this sponge boss Elder Guardians oh cuz they drop stuffff I really know almost nothing about the The Monuments sponge cuz there like like prismarine shards can you make like lanterns you’re like oh but the Elder Guardians are different than regular Guardians huh Oop I’d be sure that I wasn’t bad mouthing them for no reason fair enough Okay okay now we gravel up the rest so that no balt is visible and we’ll see if it looks okay oops one more yeah look at that that’s not bad it’s a little there’s not as much texture as I would have hoped for like maybe like one right there but that looks pretty Good would some regular stuff just like a little bit of dirt I could I could do like an amalgamation of the whole thing I don’t think I’m going to do the underside I think I’m going to leave that or like the bridge side okay let’s get rid of This probably could have been a good opportunity to do some uh some sand work over here okay other than the fact that the sand would fall all the way down into this hole okay do I have sand on me not very much not very much let’s grab some if only I had more Sand okay this Shader I is I do the shaders are are very nice I’m glad I finally did that oops bam suddenly 20 30% more natural easy that’s part this part’s kind of deep um there’s a ancient Mangrove here as well this one wasn’t me actually none of the mangroves here I Placed I forgot I could have used some of the mangroves as vegetation I forgot about that um H I don’t really know what to do with this part maybe I just do some more basalt it is close to this area so I think I could get away with um oh my God the Bal look I think is this the cave yeah okay is the fun thing about building near in around water is it you can you can get a little bit of the feeling of of being able to fly especially when you’re building up from the the ground like this kind of Nice don’t need a pillar or anything just blocking just Lon just gaming as Mojang intended I’m getting to a section where I feel like I might leave things open so I am I’m going to make sure that oops that thing’s remain vertical oh God what how is That okay I only have one stack left on my Person Okay More basal do I have more running up this should be enough to finish it though I can’t imagine I’ll need any more than this right now I might need more busal for um like the main island but I should be good for the outer if I kind of like balt out that direction cuz there’s you know clearly some assult in this area Oops It doesn’t make a lot of sense that the BT doesn’t carry on into the ground like down into this going to kind of randomly crop dust the whole area and then I can do more like subsequent passes later if it looks like I did a patchy job maybe nice thing about the kelp is they Just grow so I can plant them all along the body and they will just slowly look better and better some of the ones that I accidentally placed double already look pretty nice I wouldn’t have put kelp on Basalt because it feels you like more Stony except for the kelp grows on straight up Stone anyway the gravel so it’s like I guess it doesn’t matter okay sometimes I worry I’m doing too much and then I see some of the other thick kelp Groves I’m like no I can do more okay I think the only reason this place is so Barren is because we harvested all of It I got my little kelp Farm over there okay okay looking good looking good like this side is probably fine you look at all that KP over there okay now I think it’s time for the sea grass once I do the seagrass then I can stop worrying about Um the outside area as a whole okay cuz you can’t like bone meal underwater to grow underwater stuff right that’ be cool if you could I don’t like know for sure that you can’t but it feels like something you shouldn’t be able to do okay I should have just Swam um I we should there should be either if there’s not shears in the Sheep cow chest then there should be in my my storage room in the back is is that what this it’s they’re already growing just this extra little layer of green should be pretty Nice it’s does already look so much more natural just with a little bit of kelp growing on it yeah with with the with the kelp and the seagrass you’re not even going to look at this area twice you’re just going to be like uh-huh damn that’s crazy you w know that this took Hours perfect that’s how you know you’ve succeeded with a with a natural project as if you’re like no one is ever going to look at this okay let’s put a little more grass on somewhere like this Stuff there is still seagrass around here put this in here as well not the sword okay I think it’s I think it might be time for like actual Mangrove stuff now I’m thinking about it I probably should have planted some more Hello under water um project it’s fine we’ll figure it out I’ll have to go back and get more I Think I could always make some but my plan is I’m going to Mud it up and then I’ll plant some mangroves and then I’ll use um oops I’ll use the um I have some rooted mud that I can use uh after I plant the trees I think is the is the Plan and then once I have this all laid out I’ll plant some trees and then I’ll probably look at adding some more pools of water or maybe some elevation or both probably both both is good like I’m finally getting to the the good part it’s something is going to Happen the man grve is beginning it’s beginning to look a lot like Mangrove although might be kind of fun to leave some of these Vines around even if um if not just for for like building purposes but it uh might be kind of neat uh to have like cuz maybe maybe I can do something with the the space below as some sort of like rooted Mangrove cave or something that’ be kind of kind ofne I Think but definitely the vines will also be a big help in getting back up um if I fall or need to go [Laughter] down oh attaches to the mainland that could Work yeah I like I like that oops interconnectivity is cool oh yeah oh yeah okay I really started I brought over sand and mud and I was like I got plenty of materials for this and the more I did the stuff with the sand I was like I don’t think I brought enough Mud nether for mud well I go through the nether to the mangrove forest cuz I could make mud but I could get like 1,000 times the amount in like half the time if I just go get it from the mangrove directly is my thought I No no the nether is just I was just going through to get to somewhere else but okay I’m going to repair my shovel first and I’ll go and harvest them directly I’ll be right back oh wow you my hair was really [ __ ] up there that that one looked like it was Pretty nasty okay I also did realize while I was gone that I could probably try and do it instead of well my alternative for getting dirt was either going and grabbing it or making it and then placing it but I realized is that I’m assuming when you make Mud I could do it in place like I I could go and I could place all the dirt and then just water it afterwards so I might give that a try just in case cuz that in theory would be really efficient maybe or it could be it the the mangrove place is pretty Far away and I’d lose a lot of time in transit the option of having something to do here without having to go back there is worth looking into heavily for sure F show f chisel okay I will have to make some glass but luckily enough um oh right I do have plenty of Fuel and I might have a little a sand too okay let’s make some more this let my C Dr continue Okay first time I’ve made glass on the server pretty fancy other thing is the glass bottles I don’t think stack or the water bottles don’t stack right so this this is probably going to get inventory messy very fast that’s that that block splitting did not work how I thought the mangroves is actually that there are so many trees it’s so dense that you can you you hardly spend any time looking at the ground and there’s some like pools of water and frogs and stuff but I do have um the accent accent Block will be the muddy Mangrove Roots yeah frogs I know I’ve seen frogs so at some point I might try and bring some back I don’t yeah I’m like I don’t what what do you what do you feed them you give them item you wait from the lay eggs slime Balls oh wow that seems expensive for us that do not have a slime farm yet damn cuz I’ve I’ve found and killed like one slime uh so far in This Server that’s about it I’ve been hiding a secret stash of frog Tes well I had heard about the frogs There’s some some death involving frogs either I don’t died I’ve seen frogs mentioned in the chat so I knew they were they were somewhere around okay I’ll leave um as much of the vines or I’ll leave some of the vine places unblocked just in case I want to do more With them they’re already nice and long Ming long just how I like them yeah even oh I think I could the sun’s still setting I could do a little more now we’re at least getting to the kind of cool part of the build but it Is I was in the wiki for basalt I don’t remember why um but then I saw the thing they’re like You can make a generator I was like what and it uses uh blue ice and soul soil and I was like did not expect that crunch okay that’s I’ve always kind of been a fan of Basalt in m c um starting with the mods that had that added like Volcanoes and stuff I’ve always been a fan of that um this Basalt isn’t quite the like the same as that it’s not like quite as dark but it’s close Okay oops yeah there’s a couple yeah someone on the server made a they made a generator that generates like a lot of Basalt yeah 250,000 per hour it’s a lot lot it’s a lot of BT it’s a frankly nutty amount of Basalt which is part of the reason that I’ve been using it so much as a like a fod building block is because there’s like an endless amount of it right now I just also happen to like it okay um I’m realizing this thing needs to be like a lot Bigger if I want it to be the centerpiece that I want it to be espe although I can have it I’m going to have it probably take up a lot more room underground than above ground but this will be a nice um centerpiece for for whatever ends up happening Underneath here too some right coming through the middle and then I could have like some water coming out of it like a spring or something So I’m kind of working on making uh some natural looking Basalt stuff depending on the side if it was any other material for a huge pides absolute torturing oh size I I got you I got you I got you okay see which we just having like a if I was Using a lot of material that I had to go farm perhaps yes okay God worri we’re just barely hitting the um the surface here at least balt does look really good vertical um and so having uh a pillar does look nice without a lot of effort okay o scope Creep I mean I think this it the the project started with the wrong scope so it didn’t exactly scope creep it I think it just started too big and I hadn’t realized my uh requirements elicitation uh had not accurately determined the scope to begin with cuz realistically I was always going To I was always going to fill in with mud and stuff um and this part is is is going to make stuff around just to to scare people away but you can run right by them and know that they aren’t real that’d be kind of cool you know decoys for me the hardest thing would be finding an ancient city in the first place to be where you Live it took me days to find one and in the end I didn’t even find it it wasn’t me I had to wait until someone else found one and I was actively looking I think it might work in cities I think if you silk touch it and put it back I Don’t think it I don’t think it starts working again I could try that um but I’m pretty sure the fact the the act of it being silked don’t want you to trivialize the wardens by Being able to like Farm them by forcing them to spawn in locations other than like naturally occurring ones it’s kind of what I feel like um but I’m I’m wondering like the ones that the do they go off even if they’re so touched like could they they shriek But they just don’t do anything I don’t know uh no Warden traps in yeah don’t don’t think so no artificially spawned wardens only L natural I’m kind of assuming I hadn’t realized it but they probably don’t even they probably don’t even activate after they’ve been soak touched they probably even Shriek I know that for a fact know what for a fact oh they they do still shriek even though they don’t sumon stuff oh that’s cool cool that’s that’s that’s lit okay that’s cool that’s the thing I was interested in cuz as long as they sh freak people will be afraid but right Cuz like um that’s the deterrent cuz if someone hears that they’re not going to know that it doesn’t so as as long as it does it they’ll they’ll leave probably I mean unless they’re there to explore in which case they won’t but you put like enough of them in on The line and they’ll be like no not worth it I don’t know might just encourage people they’re like ooh that’s why I think that kind of Base defense I think works the best um not in an ancient city like you put it in a regular T of That someone would they’re like what I didn’t realize like literally the the warden’s rang attack ignores armor so there’s no point they’re they’re literally broken yeah I didn’t realize that it it literally not supposed to engage Uh but how did you get the loot get what loot okay you can you can get rid of shers and place wool to loot chests in agent cities okay let’s see yeah me and my me and my friend went and investigated an ancient city and we didn’t bring any Hoppers or anything um But we went in got everything and we summoned zero wardens not even a single one the trip went surprisingly smoothly actually lucky there was no luck involved we just went slowly and carefully pure skill I mean I I there might have I don’t know if there was necessary lot of skill it Was definitely just caution making each these base I spawned about three wens or 30 wardens that’s a lot of Wardens you even even if you getting rid of the shriekers I don’t like I I cleared I think I think I I I missed a couple but Um not at once like uh I don’t think I got all the shers from the ancient city we’re in but I got like 90% of them and I didn’t even spawn a warden then either [Laughter] I just went and stood and shift on a block and then mined it out from Underneath me like that would help okay like that put you back in like so safe today I die a lot that day damn rip yeah I’ve spawned a total of I believe three wardens so far in this world I’ve died once the first time was the first Warden I’d Ever encountered so I give myself a freebie on that one the other two I did just hang out and wait for him to go away wardens ah he died while writing the rest of that message wardens ah W’s a way too Bren yeah well it’s if after my first Encounter I was like oh oh they’re literally designed to not be engaged with in any way and I feel like they probably could have designed the lead up to that a little better cuz I like that’s the only thing in Minecraft so far that you’re literally supposed to not be able to Fight and so I feel like they could have done a better job with um some of the smaller skull areas to insinuate more of a you know careful approach like some enemies and things in there that you couldn’t get rid of that you just needed to hide from and get away that wouldn’t Just one shot you XP it gives off oh like the skull stuff a wardens give XP I mean killing one the warden oh damn cuz I I would like is it worth it one no no so it’s not even worth it you this literally you should just never touch Them because that’s not worth it even if you did kill it that’s crazy that sucks that’s dumb look good drops that’s cringe I know like I feel like if they were going to design it like that they could have given better drops five ooh that’s stupid I don’t Know maybe it’s not maybe it’s not stupid maybe I’m the one who’s stupid I think it’s a little weirdly designed Maybe yeah well cuz it’s like um I like the idea of something that you know you you just you supposed to not engage it is kind of fun where it’s like you know It’s something different where it’s like you know it’s a different exploration Hazard than like a uh you know environmental um but like I feel like yeah as far as I know you can’t Dodge anything it does so I don’t think skill has anything to do with it I do although You might be able to Shield Block it’s it’s melee but it it disabled it for a bit but if it does the ranged one it literally can’t be Dodge and it will always do half your health or not more so and like it is kind of the idea of Something that you’re not supposed to fight and just like hide from or Escape is cool but when the rest of the game is you know very different and the lead up is kind of weird it is just it feels a little bad I think especially the thing that gets Me is the fact that it’s um projectile goes through blocks kind of pisses me off because like nothing else in the game can like damage you through things like the Ender Dragon can kind of you know like tunnel a little bit through blocks but like I don’t know I think that that’s Kind of absurd like I never saw the first Warden that killed me and like having a range attack to get someone who’s like pillaring up makes sense but like not through like multiple layers of blocks I mean I bet you could make one especially because there’s ways to make Sound and you could find naturally spawning shriekers but there’s like no point right yeah never need one yeah I I you could I probably but there would be no point be kind of cool though fun little project maybe just just to [ __ ] with them just to just to prove superiority you make a Farm just to make a point it’s a statement you’re like wardens are so dumb I’m going to make a farm just to kill as many as I want it could be you know if if your server keeps track of warden killed statistic the farm would be worth it so You could farm that people would be like what you’ve killed 300 wardens you’re like yeah I’m sort of a warden Slayer but it all all you get him to like one HP and hit him that’ be pretty sick earn the title Warden Slayer it’s funny this is sort of like reverse Power wash I’m getting things wet to make them dirtier I’m actively increasing the mud I think it might have actually been faster if I had just gone and gotten the mud this took a lot longer I think it would have been faster even with the travel time well you learn something new every Day this was a this was a fun experience at least the server I have it dropped skum to make armored weapons so I mean these just having having a mod is is yeah is a very very different very different thing I do like that mods making use of A warden killed make sense rewards you for that would be cool is there oh man Tinker construct new level of tools for killing Warden that’d be sick well yeah I guess that makes sense cuz vanilla mobs have never been uh that big and in modded oh God don’t want to Uh I don’t want to see what wardens are like like an RL craft that thing already had terrifying enough mobs back before the warden bosses okay Like I feel like um you know the warden’s mechanics would be kind of fun for Boss stuff if you know they they’re just relying on sound and stuff um almost done with that mud yeah almost there um but like cuz it’ be cool if you were if There was more ability to to play around with them and like you know distract them a.m. uh 2 2 a.m. um uh and if it’s to go back to the Moon six 7 hour so I think I start streaming like 300 p.m. your time maybe I’m trying To do the math Wait no that’s not right that’s not right at like I guess do you think it’s increasing faster than the population is increasing cuz like there’s always going to be a percentage of people that are into certain things but the question is whether of the ground I think I don’t know why that’s a purpose but um they grow fine out Here but I use like an obscene amount of bone meal it’s definitely not going to grow I it’s so weird it’s so weird there it’s just it’s not going to grow I don’t know know why though maybe if I get it high enough it’ll grow it doesn’t make sense Though but in but like the things in the water grow right h interesting it doesn’t like being high either cuz the The Roots don’t go into the ground on the mainland so cuz like h I do have extra bone meal here let’s see I’ll just I it might not be apparent in The chest but there is some bone blocks it’s so weird I’m like okay let’s see maybe if I made an extra grid of dirt on top how about now what the [ __ ] they are so pissed about being here oh there we rooted mud it did it this one did do the thing oh but it was Deeper it doesn’t like to grow on single single depth cuz this one it did do the rooted mud through but it wasn’t um it had dirt underneath it Oh okay it doesn’t like the single layer that’s interesting I’ll give the server a couple seconds to to cool down last time last time it was kicking for Java exceptions it it took a while to stabilize okay interesting oh did you do that you got under there what would one day eventually be Tree it I know right it took so much I so you go you go into the middle of like the the the [ __ ] Oak Forest and you put like three bone meal on it and it grows which seems so counterintuitive okay Oh what the what the directional stuff or okay let’s yeah it’s like it was a very short amount of make any extra lanterns um if they if they do have extra they would probably be in the Shop I mean regular torches would probably work fine too I do love me some lanterns though I’m a sucker for a lantern I do also think that just like um I don’t know why I checked that the lantern Vibe works really well for kind of like it’s like a Boues thing do I not really have any extra lanterns that just bunch of times to get the branches you like to avoid placing leaves by hand um no that’s like cuz like instead of building the tree yourself you just keep spawning one until it is like the right shape no I think if I ever Uh if I’m not going for like the basic tree no matter what I get I either build it from scratch to begin with OR yeah I don’t think I’ve ever used it for like partial I either about the whole lighting up the island thing oh actually I got it I think this Lantern sty is kind of cute so I might keep going with that um get rid of this this except for I I don’t know if I’m going To be able to put it in enough um places to prevent stuff from spawning so I’m going to have to supplement it with something else I think but I’m thinking maybe like a maybe some the shroom lights or something torches with moss carpet oh I am thinking Moss carpet will be Maybe part of the um the path perhaps let’s See oh [ __ ] don’t even smoke that’s not not bad oh that that could that could very well work okay I do have some okay let’s see uh switch them oh it looks like my texture or no there my shaders might be the ones smoking a little bit it also could be that I’m Placing it on the side of a block instead of um wait is that also I can’t tell if it’s just my shaders or if it’s a blocking light H I might try out um the shrooms we’ll see we’ll see we’ll see I definitely um there are there are many things worth Worth testing for sure okay cuz part of the issue is I do uh I do have an unfortunate situation with that my floor is only a block deep not a not a normal occurrence I the the big issue is whether or not I have enough shroom Lights um I’ll throw some of these in here and some dirt and some random Bones and [ __ ] that’s true that’s true the the the fact that my ceiling is uh one block deep does well it’s the floor and the ceiling are are shared that’s true cuz I think I probably only Have oh my God what apparently something I did manage to shift my what why F what the [ __ ] huh weird apparently something has fundamentally changed about the shape of my advanced mathematics computations Concepts book now it wants to fall over all the time three thick walls three thick that’s a that’s a thick Wall That’s chunky okay yeah I mean it’s a it’s a huge textbook I don’t know why it’s decided that it is no longer the same shape that was weird okay Oh okay yeah that makes sense where it’s like they have oh I’ve got 11 of them m that is pretty fancy that’s that’s some complex texturing is there anything else that I’m looking for um oh signs could be I have anything that’s going to be tall enough that I could hang that many blocks yet we’ll see though that’s even my little even my little Lantern posts are not tall enough to Walk underneath okay oh skeleton died here the hard thing with the shroom lights is I bet it’ll affect where I’m allowed to like place um my mangroves in the future okay oh what happened here I don’t know but you get a shroom Light okay I don’t know I’m I’m assuming there’s probably still going to be some dark spots but I think I’ve probably done a decent job do the do okay wait can I check where’s light level um that Ed that’s in here right uh difficulty oh client light zero no no That’s that’s 15 from the sky client light I how where’s I feel like I used to know where this stuff was I don’t remember there’s so many numbers the the CL light’s weird H cuz I don’t know if it’s just my Shader but when I cover these up they Don’t seem to be producing light but I think that might just be a a visual thing but I was going to test it yeah I’m pretty sure it’s a Shader I was just trying to figure out if I could see my uh my light level stuff but I’m not not picking it Up okay okay I know I’m like I feel like it’s say cant light and it’s just zero all the time I’m not sure I’m I was trying to figure out what it was but it I don’t I don’t know what’s going on okay let’s see the only real way to test will be Um whether or not things spawn at Night okay nice and moshy can you never mind that went well that went well Okay so for path I have a couple ideas um money Mangrove Roots I think is my my main idea money mang Grove and Moss is I think what I’m Thinking and then I’ll kind of just you know willy-nilly these blocks and this sort of Direction all path like and all that good stuff it’s raining man hallelujah it’s raining and man oh God aen okay oh and the roots are a full block meaning you don’t sink in a little bit Interesting was not expecting That here’s a little little texture oh and they’re I didn’t realize they were angled so some of them are facing kind of wonky ways whoops I didn’t realize they had Direction okay does anything spawn out Here not yet it does look surprisingly dark with my with my Shader but so far so good oh it nice okay I’m feeling good about this now the only thing left is just more okay what I will do is I’m going to take some stuff down and store it I might as well move all my junk underground and keep uh trying to keep The up as pristine as possible Okay I think spawn Roots um I don’t know the weird thing is that mud isn’t a full block so you’d think things wouldn’t be able to spawn on them but they can but I Roots they should be able to even these ones I don’t know it’s a good question Though cuz I don’t I’m not sure are they like glass I I’m not good question I have no clue okay I was looking for something oh was looking for the propag gouls that I had put in this chest I also need some dirt that’s what I was going I was going To get dirt and then I was taking stuff with me so that I can slowly clear this chest cuz I to spawn these trees I’m going to need to give them some help they don’t like to spawn on the ground I I didn’t bring my uh bone meal Okay yeah for some reason they don’t um the mangroves really don’t like like my uh my single layer mud setup uh and so they’ve been refusing to grow on my uh my mud so we’ll see I’ll try and get as many of these kind of little Plus locations out here Oops and then let’s try and get one in here too I don’t know how much I’m going to be able to get them to spawn they spawn really close together in like the biome but I don’t think you can quite replicate that I don’t think in random oh that’s not Going to be very helpful no is it yeah I don’t know why they’re so so pissed oh really like even even like floating mud in the air too then okay let’s go get some bone meal I grab some random stuff along the way okay oh my [Laughter] God uh dump off oh God my of yes and no um oops cuz I mean like the the um I Suppose the project as a whole is just like the whole spawn area um cuz it’s just like uh we’re getting different biomes and trees and stuff all together around area I mean cuz like the the project you know at its biggest is just like the beautification of Spawn um so oops not what I meant to do here uh but that project will never really truly be done but as far as like this place goes I am trying to um make this a nice little little Mangrove area and I don’t think I’ve I don’t think I have All the trees that I want um in all the places I want and stuff so I’ll still be working on that okay nice looks amazing I know it I think it looks pretty look think it looks pretty nice thank you thank you for thinking the G okay just going to finish up these Roots it’s got no roots and then maybe I’ll take a step back and and look at it and admire it made a lot of progress today uh very impressive okay artificial botom it’s kind of fun it can be a lot of work this definitely it’s not nearly as Close knit as the actual um biome doesn’t exist in the game art pure artificial look so we’re we’re getting there we’re starting to put some trees in it’s starting to get a little swampy we got a little little little little thing here and there’s a path with lights and there’s this Balt area with some water is is this coming Along a lava biome wait there’s a skeleton in my my my water oh wait what’s what’s happening Here wait what hang what huh wait What where’s this water coming from artificial biome to look quite right huh big volcano ooh where is this water coming From What it was just like on the ceiling real this time midnight thank you for stopping by I will I’m also that was weird I don’t know where that water was from visual progress today has been much better before this island didn’t exist it wasn’t here it was just empty ocean and look at it now damn damn okay woo it’s a lot of work but It it’s really turning out oh this proper go doesn’t want to go either like there was nothing here before and now there is something this is pretty sick pretty sick okay awesome awesome progress it is looking it’s you know
