Well they’re my fellow miners in practice good on you Scott here bringing you another super awesome minecraft episode and in today’s if so we’re gonna do something very different today and we’re going to go on a little design inspiration spree so let’s get this episode underway alright and welcome

Back to Scotland and it’s always great to have you here for another super awesome minecraft episode and in today’s episode we’re gonna work on design inspiration what can make your builds stand out more and I found something that I think can do that and as you guys

Know we’ve been working super hard on our mind and it’s pretty much now complete down below we’ve got our transportation system down into the mind chest we’ve got our tool workstation here we’ve got our kind of our fun little minecart station along here that static that doesn’t actually you know

Serve any function but it just gives it a nice little impression that the mind is active and being used and of course down in here we have our master word system down here where we place our blocks in here and it’s sent down below into our mass storage this is just a fun

Decoration area as a diamond cutter he kind of cuts his mind or his diamond out of there and then the this is the end result the raw block and of course we put our diamonds in here and send it off into the storage area looking super fancy but there’s something missing and

It’s something missing within a lot of Minecraft builds and that’s what I want to talk about today and that’s adding some form of kinetic energy to your bills adding motion adding something that really gives your build life as you know we’ve talked about you know adding some of these systems along here like

This track these mine cars they don’t serve any purpose but themed to give you the impression that this is a mine these are mine cars things like that but one thing we don’t have a lot of minecraft is motion things that move and that’s a big part of design is creating a sense

Of energy in your builds so that’s what I want to work on and what we’re going to do is we’re going to set up some little fake little mine shafts along here and what that’ll do is have Minecraft constantly circling through here giving a sense of motion giving it

A feeling like wow look at this place is alive and active I think it’s going to be really cool and it’s something a little bit different this isn’t something it’s easy for you guys to I think kind of really easily replicate but I think it’ll give you inspiration

To kind of take it and put your own spin on it throughout your own worlds and I I think today’s episode is going to be really interesting and if I don’t fall off my scaffolding and break my legs we might get somewhere and have something pretty cool to show for it so

Let’s get started here when I talk about kinetic energy I’m mainly talking about I wrote up where I get that inspiration rather is Disneyland so Disneyland when you think about it there’s a lot of areas where you see rides so when you think of going through Fantasyland you enter through a

Castle when Disney almost design there was so much thought put into that it’s absolutely staggering so when you go through a castle you come out of the castle you see a carousel spinning you see motion you see people excited and I makes you happy it’s contagious once you

See that you kind of I’m just kind of creating like a little tunnel through here once you see that you can see the inside to some of the rides you see ride vehicles going into the dark into Peter Pan into Snow White different things like that down yonder you see moving

Teacups you see a Casey jr. train all these things make you see like wow look at all this motion look at all these activities and things like that take the New Orleans area frontier land with the rivers of America ships sailing going by and if you were to take all these out

Put all these things in buildings where you can’t see any of these emotional things these things moving these things you see emotions of people being excited there’s a big part there that’s missing you feel it you might not catch on right away you might not notice it all the way

But eventually you’re gonna be like huh there’s just something something’s not right here and I don’t I don’t know exactly what it is I can’t put my finger exactly why I feel like this area’s not maybe not what I expected or something but when you see all the motion and this

Motion and emotions all in one and you it’s it really adds to something and I feel like minecraft like I talked about before is kind of missing some of that a little bit we don’t have a lot of things that really add a lot of energy to build things that move and

Things like that I mean if you were on a server and you had multiple people you know right and mine cars different things like that moving around that adds something but for single-player worlds if you kind of follow me there there’s not a lot to that we need more moving

Things things that don’t always have to serve a purpose but in the end can really make and break design is kind of the feeling like it’s alive in that world that you’ve created so as you can see I’m just kind of randomly building up these miniature little mine shafts

Now with these I want them to be within scale so they’re a little bit smaller because I want to give them the impression that they’re a little bit higher up on the wall that’s force perspective so as you can see how I kind of like design that and then when we’re

Down below we can see the mine car kind of swirling under here and I think it’ll look really cool now the key is here to try to blend it you got to kind of blend it in make sure it looks natural like it’s actually something that’s plausible

You know it’s something this could be actually holding up the rock and stuff like that and then the mine cars of course they’ll kind of flow through here and then go up there and you’re like wow look at that look at all that motion up there so give me a couple seconds here

Let me kind of refine this a little bit and then we’re gonna make some bridges across through here and all sorts of other great stuff so give me one second let me kind of refine this and he’ll be right back all right so I refine this a

Little bit more kind of worked on the rock a little bit and I went down below and saw that where we want to make sure there’s no block in front of this section right here so you see right out so if you’re looking from from below you

Would have to see over this block in there that would block some of the view of the minecart and this would serve absolutely no purpose so as you can see then their eyesight is straight across there so that we see it and there’s a little minecart itself so I think I’m

Going to put a powered rail here and then we’ll kind of give this a shot and you know what I don’t know if this video you know is something that you guys can easily go and build in your own world but what I want this video to do is

Serve a purpose of inspiration inspire you guys to you know think of different things think of a different way of kind of looking at design and Minecraft and trying some different stuff so main purpose of the video is to inspire you guys and with that I want you guys to

Let me know and video maybe this video inspired you to do something you know completely other than what I’m showing but you’re like yeah scarf that’s this video inspired me to do this or that so let me know or if it didn’t let me know that – that’s okay

– so I hope this does I hope this kind of you know spurs a light in your brain or whatever you think oh I can add motion into my particular bill that I’m working on through this way or that way that’s the little gold of video and

That’s what I really hope you guys like about it there we go just trying something different you know it’s you know we can always build a house we’re gonna we do this you know we do that but it’s good to try to mix things up a

Little bit and I’m trying to find a spot where I can actually stick a torch without you know crashing down to the bottom there so I’m just gonna put that there as kind of a temporary block there we go place that on top powered rail and I’m gonna place another powered rail right

There beautiful okay now we’ve got it now we got it we’ll push that I jump on down here and see what we yes please turn the recorder blue star the code on there it goes what I wanted to do is not just go speeding across I wanted that

Kind of hang there just to see up there you’re like whoa look at it trying to just get over that corner yeah that’s awesome but that’s it you know it’s just really simple like this but look at that you can kind of get the sound in your

Ears you can kind of see the motion the torches glinting up here I really think that looks pretty cool and I think it really does add something to the build and yeah well guys I think that’s pretty cool so now we’re going to move on now we’re going to move on to build

Something a little bit different and I want to work on a bridge so we need to kind of fix you know little things like that so those are things we’ll fix later on we’ll we’ll kind of refine the design here and there just to make it a little

Bit better but but I’m liking that eventually that probably will stop like it did so we’ll just fix that up a little bit so that it goes a little faster so it’s constantly making a loop but what I’m thinking about is doing a small bridge so a small little bridge in

This area of the build so let’s get a little scaffolding set up just a little something here there we go and then what we’ll do here is we’ll kind of kind of carve into the wall a little bit will kind of open this section up just a

Little bit and then we’ll have a little bit more room to play with and create kind of a wood bridge that kind of spans this this section across here I think it’ll look really cool but it’ll take a second here to kind of refine the rock work

Little bit let me do that now all right and welcome back so now we’re going to do is we’re going to take our oak wood here like so and we’re just going to run this across here and then that will start to give us the impression of a little bridge across

Here so just a little bridge kind of spanning this entrance and we’ll have a minecart kind of rolling across here looking super fancy there we go looking looking good looking good there we go and then within here I’m just going to kind of hollow back here a

Little bit hopefully we don’t we don’t actually push through and then I’m just going to give that just a little bit more room just in case we need just a smidge bit more room now this side of this one will kind of go out a nice

Little click won’t go too fast but just kind of rolls across here because we have a nice expanse of seeing the minecart roll by now as you can see look at that one looking super cool I got it just perfect I think it just kind of

Goes there a little bit kicks up a little speed and then rounds that corner giving us the nice impression of motion up there but yeah there we go and then this video this video is like my desire to be a theme park designer this is just my inner theme park

Designer like I want to make a video I really hope people like it hope it’s a you know something that people find you know interesting I don’t know how many you know people out there you know you know care about you know theme park design but it’s an interesting subject

You know they’re you when you think of designing stuff to create a theme you’re trying to make a time a place it’s an interesting way to look at designing and architecture different things like that that’s what I always loved about theme park design is you’re you’re making the

Theme a time of place and you’re trying to transport your viewer your guests if you will to that time and we don’t have any more room down there we need a little bit more let’s say let me get a little block right about there and then of course we’ll fix something up right

There so it looks a little bit nicer than the way it does at the moment there we go and we’ll put another one right there and then we’ll cut into here and we’ll do the same right there looking fancy and of course if this looks odd from a distance we’ll definitely

Definitely repair it and clean that up a little bit there we go and then let me see about adding some extra blocks right about there right about here knock you out yeah that looks a little bit funny the way that’s connected will probably address that when we do our finishing touches on the

Build just to make sure that looks normal and doesn’t look a little bit like I don’t know having that block halfway on there looks a little bit funny but those are just things that we can address and change as we kind of go along there we go and OCO come back here

Come back here mr. vine car you have a new home you have a new home there we go all right let’s see how that looks come on come around the corner come on come on there you are ha ha that’s awesome one thing I’m thinking about hmm I like

Having that extra space back here but it also makes the time of travel much longer as it has to round that corner takes a little bit longer I might also want to put some maybe even another one on that track might be kind of cool but yeah I think that’s starting to look

Really cool there’s some other design things we could do maybe we take some oak fences and create a nice little like drawbridge effect going across maybe well think about it well think about it but yeah let me ax start to kind of add some andesite and some cobblestone

Pillars to these little sections along here I think that’ll make that area kind of give it a more of a crumbly Rock feel and yeah so give me some time let me work on this a little bit more and I’ll see you in a moment all right and look at that looking super

Fancy I’ve got the nice rail across there I’ve also added some more detailed blocks here and there just trying to give a little bit more variety to the stone so it’s not just all just smooth stone so it’s a little bit nicer a little bit nicer there we go and this

Just gives it a little bit more design along here just gives a little extra cap of detail and yeah look at that looking super fancy now I would like to work on this side a little bit more here so I’m gonna get up into about right about here

And I’m going to place down another set right along there now I think this is going to be a good height it’s hmm actually I would like to move it down one more let’s move down one more and I’ll show you why there we go that’s it

Because I want it to be just a little bit below this one and of course about that one so it doesn’t kind of just clash with the tunnels there we go beautiful perfect and then subhan over here so like we were talking about before about kinetic energy and things

One of the places that you can find where there once was like a lot of good energy in a design would be Tomorrowland at Disneyland for instance so that’s a place that one at one time had these rocket ships and they flew above a tall

Tower in the center of the land and you could see you know people scream and then cheering from it and things of that nature along with these little moving things call people movers so the people mover would kind of flow along the you know the land you know just kind of float

Along there and you can see you know people enjoying like a scenic ride around the land eventually they decided to get rid of that particular ride and add something called rocket rods rocket rods were kind of a high-speed kind of a like a thrilling type ride that that

Would take you through the land on those old people mover tracks didn’t work out as you could imagine didn’t work out the ride had many problems different things like that they took them out so there’s this platform that’s completely blank at the top and no longer has the rockets up

There anymore they move those elsewhere and then they got rid of the rocker rods of course and it’s blank it’s boring there once was a lot of energy a lot of movement to the land and now it’s just kind of blank and it just doesn’t have

The same feel that the land once had without those moving elements within the design so I think I think we need to work on that more in Minecraft we need to add more of those elements of movements and stuff to give us that feel and hopefully this project works I don’t know

Now it’s kind of up to you guys to kind of determine what you guys think of it to me anyway I feel like this is cool and this is something that I want to do more of in the future when it comes to design and stuff like that I think it

Could be definitely some cool additions we can make with this kind of theme and stuff like that like I said there’s not a lot of options for moving things besides mine carts and pistons and things like that but I think it is something cool that we

Can have and it does give us that kind of a cool feel like that that looks cool all right um you know what I’m thinking I think about not doing the wood on this particular one and just kind of framing it up with a bunch of really nicely

Detailed stone like this there we go wait for that got to go around there he goes I’m going to cut that back off a little bit there we go and then maybe make kind of an overhang a little bit like that and then of course we’ll cover

Up those redstone torches we must do that let me see if I can get a hold of something here there we go looking good looking good and place another one right there right there right there right there boom boom nice just the way we like it

There we go looking super fancy at this point there we go put that one there like that put another one there beautiful let’s jump down just a little bit give a good look yeah that’s cool that’s cool I would like to conceal it just a little

Bit more so it’s not too much out there so you know it gives it a just a little bit of impression like it’s kind of hidden behind here a little bit more you know get rid of some of the extra excess stone dirt and stuff like that and put

In some more andesite and things like that so yeah continues to kind of push on here continue to push on adding some more detail and I’ll see you in a moment alright and welcome back so I’ve been working on this area just above our main mineshaft tunnel down there

This area looked cool because when we’re kind of going in and out we can see this one and this one is actually going to be falling so this is the kind of design that I’ve worked out here so the minecart will come you know around here and it’ll fall down there but it

Actually gets really slow right about there and then it kind of goes we wipe up the top I think that’s going to look really cool took me a little while to kind of figure out the best way of kind of putting it but I think that is going

To be a good solution I like this design best I think I’m trying a couple different ones but logs going vertical and then horizontal that way I think that looks cool it looks like you know you’re holding up the big log and I think that looks pretty nice I think we

Have just enough Oh No we’re one shy we’re one shy where’s my other log I know I had another or at least another stack no I guess not I know I had another one oh well well we’ll get another one we’ll fix that up and that’ll look super SuperDuper fancy

But let’s get just a little bit of finishing details in here like so there we go let’s grab out some smooth stone beautiful beautiful beautiful there we go and put that one like that and start bringing these guys across here looking super fancy and then this will look cool

Kind of as a overhang you know swag mics and select tights of a cave kind of hanging down like that looking super fancy so far there we go and yeah just slowly layer by layer adding the details like I said will probably do even some more detail work within a live string so

We’ll probably definitely do that pretty soon and really add some of those final details that I would like to add to this particular build is I think we are definitely getting there at least this is definitely the last mine video will wrap things up with this and these mine

Videos have been so much fun to make and the best part about it you guys have really enjoyed them which is really cool and that always makes me so happy when you guys overwhelmingly are positive and are just absolutely ecstatic for these videos which may be really really happy

You know like you know it seemed like you guys enjoy the videos while you’re subscribed I guess but but these videos you guys just seem to really like so I really appreciate it and it’s cool to finally have a mind that I’m like yeah let’s go take a look at it when people

Are like Scott show us your minds and I’m like alright I’ll show it to you but don’t don’t get excited because there’s nothing cool there they’re just kind of little holes in the wall if you will but it’s nice to have now something that I’m kind of proud of and I’m like yeah

Definitely I’ll show you my mind it’s cool and yeah I think this is starting to really come out let’s take a quick look from a distance here yes that’s gonna be great it really ties in with a tool station also so that’s pretty nice alright let’s put let’s put a mine car

On the track there we go push it down jump off here we go and let’s watch it no eyes look at that and then it kind of slows up right there gets caught and takes off beautiful we just need that other log over there and look at this kind of

Little rock slide that kind of flow down here looking super snazzy but yeah just little details like that really do make a build look a little bit nicer to little little details like that little rock slide here there looks absolutely amazing but um yeah so let me put the

Final touches on this and I’ll meet you back here for a little tour of the whole mine all right and welcome back and let’s do a little tour of our epic mine outside here we have all of our little mechanisms that are for show and gives

The mine a great detail and effect here like they’re dumping out gravel and excess rock carved out from the walls within the mine and as we pass through the arch here we can see our amazing mineshaft entrance leading into the main chamber and look at all those little

Mine cars zipping around up there looking super awesome giving this this really great kinetic energy throughout all I absolutely love this this is so cool look at all the little mind guards zipping around we got the one behind the main arch looking super fancy and I

Would love to do a couple more here on a live stream we have our tool station on this side looking super fancy to get your tools all repaired and fixed up and of course our redstone storage facility over here where we have our mass storage

And then we can come down here if we ever need to get in the extra cobble and dirt and gravel out of our storage units along there we of course we have our redstone powered transportation system that will take our diamonds and our good stuff all the way off to our main

Storage area and of course our diamond cutter station where you take a diamond block and you extract it and carve it and then you have your excess on that side over there and look at that oh my gosh look at the little minecart zipping around eventually I want to add some

With little uh you know chests or maybe the little TNT who knows but yeah I think that will look really cool along there and we can take our mine car and zip on down into the mine shaft down below where of course it’s still a work in progress down here because it’s a

Working mine and we’ll be able to expand in all sorts of different directions here and there and all sorts of other great places and yeah I can’t thank you guys enough for watching this series I’m so glad you have all enjoyed this so much yeah so onwards and upwards to bigger
