Hermitcraft 9: Artifact Obsession (Ep. 87)

Ladies and gentlemen welcome back to hermitcraft last time we added a bunch of things inside of this Museum and today we’re gonna add a bunch more why because well effectively I’m addicted to collecting artifacts I I got a problem with it uh I’ve I’ve gone too deep here

You can see we’ve added some things since last time including gift shop Gwen which is a villager Manning the uh gift shop here we also have started to put in some books on the side because basically I want people to be able to walk into this Library pick a book from the side

From the Chisel bookshelves and then actually be able to read every single book that’s on the side of these Museum walls because we’re sparing no expense here at the Museum rest assured no expense at all and so uh we need to head back up here because we got

A lot to do today now I’ve been looking around the museum and observing all the artifacts trying to figure out where some of the final artifacts we’re Gathering here are gonna go and the only thing I can really think of is what else can we do here and luckily I have

Recently acquired even more artifacts from a couple of different bases namely false and Asuma so we gotta put these things down uh let’s go ahead and do so right now we’ll go ahead and put down these heads and the discs so first of

All we got the no no no no no no no no no no no no disc no no no There we go we found this in the Summer’s base we’re putting this one right up there which completes our record collection fantastic and let’s go ahead and go on up to the second floor here we’ll put down the red mushroom head let’s put this let’s see what makes

Most sense I think over here makes the most sense put red mushroom Brown mushroom and then angry wolf head we’ll put this one over here there we go perfect and if we find any more heads we’ll put them on the wall as well uh let’s just go ahead and bounce

On down twice there we go and uh let’s see we have oh yeah the Blazing Roots mine this was a custom Quest we made for Asuma and then we have so swimming I will put this up somewhere in the museum probably on the third floor alright so historic copper mine

Location discovered late 2022 right here and this was what isuma found this is actually something we actually built so there’s a custom Adventure we built underneath here you guys remember it with zombies and collapsing sand and a whole bunch of cobwebs stuff like that and we put your swimming right here next

To the Mob Mayhem pen because we were going to put him down as a frog but we already got frogs here and we now also have the be puddle o and hop guy frogs down here which are going to be our bouncers uh these two guys yeah so these are also

Original hermit frogs anyways uh speaking of artifacts we have one base we have yet to go to and that is the base of one Mr Ren diggity dog so we’re gonna head out there and see if Ren has any artifacts for us right now hey everyone just a quick reminder here

Take all you need whatever you need from the museum I’m a big supporter in the museum here at Scotland I’ll grab these too I’ll grab these two nice nice oh these are crazy models man these are crazy thank you so much for this man this is great and uh yeah do tame that

Jelly because she’s a wild one she’s a wild one all right ladies and gentlemen a big thank you to good times with scar who was able to give us a couple of Creeper models as well as a free Buttercup cookie which he told us not to eat so that’s fantastic uh in the

Meantime though we are now at it Ren Diggity dog’s place and we have our find me at the Museum iron trap doors which we use to basically replace anything we take from any of the Hermits so like say if this is an artifact we replace this

With one of these and I know to find me at the Museum uh because that’s where it’ll be displayed so uh with that let’s go ahead and take a look through some of Ren’s chests here and around the area looks like these are some rare things but we already have all of these

Um so we’ll just look through the area here and see if we find anything interesting historic or significant there’s a clock that just says B-Dubs okay all right B-Dubs already literally handed us his clock so we’re good on that otherwise we may take that Kels more blocks more blocks just randomly 31 crafting

Tables already here we go here we go charge creeper Warden okay skeleton horse’s head thank you Rendog find me at the Museum my dude snow Fox’s head we might need we got the Kohler Alley’s head we might have that I’m gonna take it anyway just in case there we go got those heads

Yeah I think these two are good alley and skeleton Horsehead we got the brown mushroom snow fox maybe as well I’m taking it just in case we don’t have it which we might not there we are all right guys so from rendig of the dog we got ourselves some heads here let’s put

These down uh let’s see do we have the alley hat we do have the alley head so we return this to Ren is what that means uh snow fox head we do not have so place this boy down over there and then the skeleton horse head no we don’t have

We’ll put that one down right there man that one looks weird looks like somebody with a creepy smile and two like beady eyes yeah that one is very terrifying actually so yeah there’s that uh like I said we’ll give this one back to Ren we gotta find some good spots for these creeper

Models here well well well there we have it ladies and gentlemen our creeper suits have now gone up in a museum we made like a little area here because there was just a bunch of dead space back here figured might as well put some leaves and Greenery in the museum and

Why not a creeper within that Greenery blending in a little bit so that’s the rare sizzling creeper suit and then for symmetries purposes over here we got ourselves the dancing creeper suit where the feet move and also some more Greenery and leaves hopefully a couple people coming up these stairs you know

They’re just walking up here they turn they’re like whoa creeper make some makes them think a little bit makes them jump a little bit but soon they should realize they’re not in danger after all these are just retextured pumpkins on armor stands uh VR custom uh resource pack that we have

But we have some more artifacts we need to put down from in here here we go we need prickles to be put down and the free Buttercup cookie from the Buttercup Cruise battle versus Doc so first of all prickles the historic Puffer that once woke Etho up from a fever dream going

Right here right next to our discontinued jack-o-lantern armor stands which are no longer possible in 120 then we got the free Buttercup cookie right there mystery food from the Buttercup Cruise battle versus Doc right there and I think those are good spots for these so a few more artifacts here on the

Second floor today you love to see it and I believe that is all the artifacts yeah we gotta return that to Ren so we’ll pick all this stuff up and let’s move on to something else you know what I think we should do for these frogs here people were telling me

That we should make hop guy and beat puddle o into bouncers here at the Museum like put them in the front like they’re the enforcement guys in the front of Museum but I don’t know I kind of feel like they added some life to this uh parkour bit

We got going here right the uh conduit challenge so what if what if we removed them from this like this right and instead of having them here we grab both of these and we attach them to a fence located in the center here this could potentially work let’s see if

We have any wood let’s see put this down logs maybe some fences yes perfect we’ll put a fence in here and then attach both those to them or to them both of them to that close that and now they are in there man they are in there and attached so now

They can jump around bounce like this look at them bounce truly bouncers now and of course we got to make the adjustments beware of falling players and frogs there we go besides all the the artifacts we’re getting today I also want to add another part to the museum and we’ve changed

Some things already like for instance these stairs here these now retract and you no longer have to hit the button to make them go back up after a couple seconds they will automatically come back up as you saw right there so that’s pretty cool it works the same on the top

And the bottom and on both sides of course but back here I want to make a little bit of an adjustment right now we just have sort of a bare bones entrance I want to make this just a little bit nicer a little bit fancier a little bit

Better because yeah we can and I think we should so let’s get going on this all right everybody check it out we got ourselves a new gift shop entrance just a little overhang here made with some composters which have a beautiful bottom texture as you can tell they go super

Well with the flowering azalea leaves which we also expanded and if we get back here uh you can see how we wanted the whole thing to sort of blend in with the back but also indicate that there’s something more down here to see so we did just that and also there’s

A new way into the first floor via the back side right here you can see this is actually in the Easter egg display and so you can just walk on through now out onto the beautiful balcony take a look around see some of the sights back here

This also opens up the possibility we could add something below down here and I’ve also started putting down some dirt just in case we wanted to do something like that but have not done so quite yet anyways I think this entrance is sufficient for now so let’s move on

Alright ladies and gentlemen so welcome back we’re currently in the nether now and we have a grand total of one two diamonds grand total that’s all we got left from everything we’ve spent on the museum yeah we basically bankrupted ourselves yet again this is like the third consecutive episode where we’ve

Bankrupted ourselves by the way but I’ve made a discovery of a bunch of artifacts inside igevin’s base now just Kevin is a man of Honor a man of business a man of wealth and I’m hoping that we can convince him to purchase some of his artifacts including things from the King

Storyline like there’s a bunch of rare artifacts there’s a bunch of mob heads uh there’s also things like a Too Tall Fern he’s got from a spruce Village that we could use in a museum So to that end we are actually flying up here in the

Nether and out the roof and over all this stuff to a far away location where we’re going to do some mining so I got my visions of The Dark Knight chest this is going to basically provide us some potions which we can drink and that will

Get us some night vision so we gotta go get some diamonds to hopefully buy some artifacts off of jevin so let’s go mining for a bit I’ll be right back well guys I was down here mining came from this direction in this cave we got

13 diamonds so far and look what I found down here that’s right ladies and gentlemen a legit fossil this is a legit fossil if I hit F3 you can see desert on the right hand side our left hand side there amazing amazing I’m gonna mark down these coordinates we’re gonna come back

Here and extract this fossil uh and these diamonds I’m not going to take these with me to pay driven for the artifacts but legit fossil this is definitely going in the museum by the way fossils were added in Minecraft 1.10 uh most people I would say probably don’t even know they exist

In the game because they are so difficult to find I found probably two of them and then this is the third one uh so far and I found one other Diamond one before here on hermitcraft so yeah that should tell you that yeah this is pretty rare so this is amazing we’re

Definitely putting this in the museum somewhere we gotta find space for this thing now but yeah this is great this is amazing after a brief mining session in the darkness of the caves using the night vision potions we ended up with a grand total of about a hundred deep

Slate diamond ore so it was off to ijevins to see if we could convince him to give us some artifacts all right guys coming on into jevin’s base I think he’s home whoa there’s a lot of candles here hey Jeff hey hey don’t hate on the candles man this is

Like Harry Potter main hallway room type thing oh no not not hating at all it’s magical man yeah it’s magical you know how long it took me to place those candles down I imagine oh my God it took forever it was the worst thing I’ve ever

Done in my life and I changed it all the time for like like Halloween and Christmas oh that’s awesome it’s awful yeah it looks great though man it looks great yeah plus the alleys out there man oh yeah that’s the sanctuary very impressive very impressive so what’s up man Trev uh listen

I’ve been snooping a little bit okay of course of course been snooping around I realize you got some things here now I did you the courtesy I didn’t I didn’t uh relocate these things because they’re too valuable they’re too valuable I figured you probably would want something but there’s a couple of things

In these these areas here you know maybe not in this one but in this I’m gonna grab a chest so you because it sounds like you you want a lot of things I’m gonna put a chest down so yeah yeah I’m just gonna I’m gonna do you mind if I

You need any rare items too because I have like Ferns and stuff yeah yeah I was looking for I think you had like a double Fern somewhere yeah so up here in the middle chest up here I just never moved them this is kind of the the ultra

Rare Goods oh the ultra rare vanilla stuff yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah the large Fern is what I was looking at one of those oh I got a few of those so go ahead and grab one another grab one perfect there we go this thing is only

Found in the uh Spruce Village by the way I think you probably know that because you got one oh yeah yeah now they were very easy to find and then I think down here let’s see there was a Strider Rose is going through my chest guys dang he’s probably got like an

Inventory list though he’s probably got a shopping list instantly partying my base right now there was a creeper head yeah one of these man just all the stuff here yeah so these the creeper heads I just like one day on stream I’m like any creeper heads and then I don’t know if

You just sat there for like hours getting them I don’t know if you you know consider giving up this but also the winter pack from season one of hermitcraft I don’t know about that one that’s kind of special to me all right all right well these these couple of

Can just say it you have nothing to do with it Cub token you know you can just blame me it just showed up at my base and I didn’t have anything to do with it yeah yeah plausible deniability exactly perfect that’s amazing so I

Think um I think we got a deal man so diamonds curator status and Crown right yes yes also perfect Jeff I need something from all the Hermits and something from you too uh I have this extra little thing I want to do here this is something separate but I’ve been thinking about it

If we go ahead and get this out of here I need you to write a book oh God it doesn’t have to be long Okay can be as shorter or as long as you want it to be but about something on hermitcraft that you were involved in from your perspective

So it could be okay the Easter egg hunt Diamond pillow do I have to do this right now no no no take your time oh my God take your time on that get it back whenever you uh you have time very much one of them students that do their

Today getting us some Kings artifacts some cool mob heads and this Fern as well these are going to make great additions to the museum and hopefully enjoys his diamonds he’s going to become the official voice of the museum so we got to get him in here uh recording some

Voice overs for some of the exhibits and also uh yeah hopefully he enjoys his Royal Crown up there uh which came from Cleo’s Museum but shh don’t tell Cleo don’t tell Cleo with several more artifacts secured it was now time to head out to the fossil which we found

Earlier so we went into the caves and luckily it wasn’t too hard to find uh actually this might be it let’s see if it’s over this Ridge pretty sure it’s like right here yeah I think this is it I think it’s down on the other side of the skeleton

Pretty certainly I see it I see it the skeleton defending the bones I see how it is I see how it is all right let’s just light this up uh it looks light because we just have night vision on but I want to make sure that no mobs wander in here and

Give us a rough time as we’re extracting this fossil okay let’s take a look at this situation here so uh obviously with this fossil I think what we need to do is we need to basically extract the whole thing uh we probably want to also like make sure and preserve

Like some of these blocks if we can I’m gonna actually get over here and place blocks underneath fossil blocks and then we can put the water down preserving this there we go okay so I think what I’m gonna do I’m gonna basically dig out the entire thing take

Some screenshots so we can exactly preserve this we’re going to be preserving basically the bone blocks as well as the diamond blocks so let’s dig around this a bit and see what we find here ladies and gentlemen take a look at the size of this fossil good Lord this thing

Is huge oh my goodness there’s one two three four five six ribs there’s a central spine that sticks out a block on this side there’s a gap in between and then there’s one over here I’ve taken some screenshots of this and what I’m going to do is I’m going to dig it out

In a very specific way so I’m going to put down my fossil preservation box and I’m going to dig it out like this sort of like in a circular shape counterclockwise shape and then we’re going to put the blocks from each rib in the central box in each like column

Here so like for instance we’ll dig out this one first then this then this this this this and then this guy here of course we’re using silk touch this this this this this this this this this and this there we go so that is our first

Bit here I think there was only one tough block these were left over stuff which I threw out over here so we didn’t have this in our inventory dang it get out of here all right so there’s the First Column uh we’ll also dig out the central bit I think second and from

Front to back so we’ll do the next one this guy like this and we’ll just keep digging it out like this so that we know how to recreate it back at the Museum so I think that’ll be awesome so let’s just keep on doing this and I’ll be right back

There’s only one spot where we can put this fossil in the museum and that is not even inside the museum but outside of the museum that’s right ladies and gentlemen we have outgrown the confines of the museum and now the world is ours now that’s a little bit too dramatic but

We now have to terraform this entire back area right here there’s a bunch of holes and stuff to caves like there’s a chicken and pig cave down there uh this area is not very flat and not big enough honestly to hold the fossil yet so we gotta

Dig into our Reserve dirt and Reserve grass that we have been keeping back here for some time that we got when we dug out this whole area here this whole guest room area there should be a bunch back here so I should have a bunch of dirt just waiting to go yeah there’s

Some grass and dirt we can use all this to basically level the area outside here and make ourselves a nice section I still want to have trees and stuff around but we want a nice section to put not only the fossil but also other things bigger things as well in the back

Of the museum [Applause] aha there he is I found him oh hey Zen hey girl get behind your Museum I was looking everywhere for you yeah I’m trying to make a new area back here outside like a garden type area should be pretty cool oh very nice what are you

Gonna be is it gonna have museumy Garden things in yes yes I got something I’m moving in right now actually so it’s very exciting beautiful it’s very beautiful I hear you are in need of famous literature pieces of artwork in book form I am indeed you heard

Correctly I have something for you I have probably the best book ever written um by May of course world famous author uh would you like it I would love it I would love it fantastic all I ask is that you you read it out as best as you

Can so that I can hear the story one final time before I before I let you have it all right the eel once Upon a Time and Ill went into a shop he was given free shoes but he didn’t want them four he had no feet five got no feet said the eel

With this with this new bookshelf thing yet can I yeah yeah oh look at that that’s really cool really cool I’m gonna copy it make some copies there’s a few other books around here by the way uh you can see you can pull some of them

Off there you should be able to read all of them not sure which one that one is back of the base an unfinished story oh yes look at that there was once a Hermit who yeah and that’s it yeah so yeah that will go nicely here I actually have

Let’s see if I can get it out here I’m gonna we got some stuff in here we’re printing books as we speak literally printing books as we speak so I’m gonna copy some of these but thank you so much for this setup this is absolutely phenomenal man

Trust me it served me well I wrote it season five I believe and I’ve been using it as ever since as my uh Redstone lectern thing if I need 15 signal strengths I can I can pick all 15 of them with that book magnificent man magnificent

Some gem false I think there’s a bunch from me Tango impulse and then a couple more that I’ve uh wrote as well so we have 12 in total uh hopefully we have like 30 40 50 by the end of this uh but we’ll keep trying to gather hermit

Signatures I got a couple of books you know just waiting to go uh this one’s for Pearl for instance uh this one’s for beef this one’s for green so we got to get some signatures still but in the meantime we have the desert fossil now complete and reconstructed here in the

Back of the museum it’s looking kind of barren in this area by the way but we’ll get some foliage and some trees and things I’ll put in here to make it look nice uh relatively soon but as you can see fossil uh painstakingly recreated actually it wasn’t really that hard so

Yeah that’s great we also have the coordinates that we found of that written down here and then of course we got the lodestone the decorated pots here and then this is just an upside down lightning rod that’s holding up the lantern so kind of a cool little area

Here and I’m thinking we’re going to put some more uh bigger displays from around the server uh in this area soon and yeah it’s going to be a very nice garden-esque vibrant area back here so I’m pretty happy with it hope you guys are as well anyways for now that’s it
