Minecraft Bedrock Edition could finally be getting official support for shaders in 2023. welcome everyone my name is Echo hope you’re having an absolutely fantastic day I am here to keep you all updated with the latest the greatest and the most interesting news in the Minecraft Community going back to April 19th 2022 this was a very sad day for the Minecraft Bedrock Community because this was the introduction of 1.18.30 better known as the day that Mojang officially removed Shader support for Minecraft Bedrock platform not updates Minecraft Bedrock players were given the render Dragon engine which the developers outlined that this was to Help improve the overall experience on Minecraft Bedrock Edition now I have a specific part highlighted but they said we know the community has found ways to build shaders on top of Hal and with this change these shaders will no longer function now every time I release a Brand new beta or preview video the number one comment is hey Echo have they finally removed the render Dragon engine because my shade is no longer work now I just want to put it out there that they are never ever going to remove this render Dragon engine it is here to stay Now although to many of you that is some bad news however I’m here to share with you it looks like some form of shaders have started to be developed now going back to April 19 2022 on the official change log it also said this we are working on how we may Be able to deliver this sort of creative capability players and creators in an official supported way while we have nothing to share right now look out for more details in the future and the future is now well it’s gonna be in 2023. on November 18th 2022 I was tagged In this tweet by Apple reality one who said I was able to find shaders Sliders in the code for the latest Minecraft Beta now the picture you see here this was back when 1.19.50.25 released this specific user is on a Samsung Android device again you can see there the first toggle says Atmospherics the next one says Edge highlight then we have Bloom then we have terrain shadows and then we have super fancy water now when I was originally tagged in this I thought nothing of it I thought it was just old coding that was linked to possibly the super duper Graphics Pack yeah who Remembers when they announced that and never delivered on that foreign Anyway turns out that was a massive light it wasn’t introduced and looked like a marketing scam to try and sell more Xboxes for Minecraft players then I was like surely this must be linked to RTX but then I remembered I have an RTX capable graphics card and I do not have Access to these toggles so it’s either old coding or new coding all right so at this point in today’s video I want to remind you to take everything that I’m about to show you with a pinch of salt this information could be completely false although I strongly believe it’s Not now the worrying thing to me is I feel like whenever we do get official Shader supports or Minecraft Bedrock Edition on iOS Android Windows 10 Xbox switch and Playstation Microsoft and Minecraft that are going to charge us for it they have a very big track record of charging the community for things Like better graphics I mean we have to pay for skins but that leaves me with a question if Minecraft and Microsoft where to charge you the shaders would you buy it very recently the Minecraft Bedrock Creator silicon tweeted saying I’m surprised no one has posted about this apparently there are some new game Files in the latest preview related to Graphics I don’t want to jump conclusions but it looks like we might get a graphics update hashtag Minecraft now for those of you who don’t know who this user is he is responsible for creating the best world edit add-on in the Minecraft Bedrock community so this User is in and out of the Minecraft files every single week digging into things like the latest betas and previews now in this tweet he posted a few pitches so we have some new files here we have the Deferred renderer Json light underscore clustering Json vanilla light dot Json now from my understanding These files were not available before 1.19.60.24 here are the lines of code that he discovered again just showing you the vanilla lights you’ve got Minecraft torch Minecraft Redstone underscore torch Minecraft and underscore Rod Minecraft Lantern inside of the light underscore clustering Json it says this lights pair cluster and Then you’ve got like 32 near bar and x and y coordinate and on the last one it says light underscore generation underscore parameters emission to intensify factor and then there is lines linked to multiplier for ambient lights block lights sky lights brightness and even more such as saturation now this Creator then posted an update and said apparently RTX is already taking advantage of this however these same files are also appearing on Android so either RTX will remain the only anyone using it or it won’t be the only one we’ll see what happens now dark gamer Did respond to this tweet and he was like it actually didn’t start appearing in the latest preview with silicon responding saying true I started seeing it in the one before it 1.19.60.23 I think which was the base set in preview from two weeks ago regardless this coding is new I do have A slight doubt that this is linked to shaders and the reason why is because as you guys know RTX for Minecraft Bedrock Edition was kind of recently updated Nvidia and Minecraft and Xbox kind of renewed their partnership they released four fresh new maps on the Minecraft Marketplace for those who run Minecraft On Windows and have RTX capable graphics card and if you missed my Alien Encounter video with RTX go and check it out well anyway so I’m a little bit worried that that’s the coding that they’ve discovered it’s just stayed in beta’s in previews and for some reason The developers kind of left it inside of the Android files but we go back to 1.18.30 where the developers said that they’re hoping to make shaders possible for Minecraft Bedrock players and Microsoft and Minecraft and Xbox they all know how much money they would probably make of selling shaders so That’s the reason why I think it is going to happen at some point I would also like to mention that this user here called Jing Frank ran that code and said it can work in RTX worlds and posted a picture of the coding running successfully with RTX enabled like I Said it looks like the coding is new regardless there is many people talking about this in the community I recommend staying open-minded but I got a feeling 2023 is going to be a very important year for Minecraft Bedrock players we already know we’re going to be getting The introduction of a new game mode that is called editor mode and if you missed that video I recommend clicking on this right now Video Information
