Hi my name is Matt today I’m going to show you the fastest way to build a Minecraft neighborhood so I’m going to run you through the 10 steps so let’s start with number one number one I know this is four floors but pretend that it’s three the first floor is your Ground floor shop and then you’re going to want to have a staircase it’s important to have large windows so when you’re walking by people can look in see what you have in your shop and then maybe they’ll come in and spend money once you’ve done that we’re gonna build The second floor so the idea is to have this second floor as a stackable floor so it’s very easy to expand vertically next you’re going to go up to the top floor and then you’re just going to add the roof so here we have a parapet to Keep the water in and then you have this thing called a cornice on your roof you can design some sort of overrun the idea is just to have the stairs go up and then you have a door for your rooftop access step number two you’re going to Take this building look at the more thin facade you’re going to copy it rotate it and then paste it now the idea since not all of the buildings are going to be the same height you can go ahead and vary the height so if you decided to build Your first template as three tall maybe you could expand it one and then you could stack this one up to four step number four we’re gonna go down to the ground and change our ground level designs I just mean minor variations you can change the awning you can change it To different colors but the idea is to get lots of variation in your design so that when you do copy and paste it around your city it looks quite different now heading on to step number five at this point all of the material should look the same and it may look a Little bit Bland it is actually quite common to see two identical buildings beside each other typically that happens when you have a developer that buys two lots side by side and they’re not going to pay for two different building designs so they just take two of the Same ones but once that’s done you can actually fly all the way up top and you’re going to want to go ahead and do step number six and change your roof design I don’t mean anything too crazy but you can see that I have slight design changes between this stair Overrun this one’s a little bit different and it’s different than these ones this one and this one now at this point it’s starting to come together so step number seven go ahead and create your first city block so what you’ll do you’ll take your corner building put it Down here and then there you go you have two corners repeat the process on the other side with your middle buildings and then you can repeat the previous steps if you’d like to variate a little bit more now that you have your first city block you can start to add some Random HVAC equipment on It Well by random I mean semi-random see how it sort of follows a pattern of going over the edge down and then if it goes down far enough it’ll split off into different sections same idea here but instead of going all the way down like This corner it goes onto a roof crosses it and then continues downwards but this building actually brings us into our next step step number nine whenever you want to actually make a custom building you can just replace one this is not your city these are all filler buildings Now I thought this street looked a little bit boring so I went ahead and just changed the materials now this is quite a simple fix change the bottom up a little bit but if you do want to make it a little bit more complex you could maybe do something like this replace one Or two of your buildings or in this case maybe three or four depending on the size of the footprint and then you can go ahead and make them a little bit taller or shorter two if you really want to this one is two floors and then up Top I just added some sort of advertisement now at this point you might have a handful of city blocks you can go ahead change a lot of the Heights and you can follow all the previous steps to make it interesting but there’s one last thing that’s going to tie this Whole thing together and that is to decorate now I haven’t done a whole lot of decoration but I did add this tree I’m starting to add a couple of lights and then your streetscape as well so I do have a handful of roads for vehicles but the Crossways ones here these ones Are for pedestrians now this is the part where you can get really creative and you can put quite literally anything you want you can have your roads your walkways you can have markets trees different Road patterns if you want so it doesn’t have to be all on a grid you Can make it look a little bit more European you could add some parks some Urban Parks maybe Central Park if you really wanted to or a train station like Best Built by Eno lab which I showed in my last video to make one of these city Blocks it took me about four hours and then to copy it into the other parts I took maybe another 30 minutes so that’s the easiest way to make a Minecraft city at least from a template standpoint if you like this video click like if you really like it click subscribe but Anyway my name is Matt I have a degree in architectural engineering and you’re watching outline Thank you Thank you Video Information
