I made a working castle gate in vanilla minecraft it opens three blocks high and you can make it up to 15 blocks long the buttons on each side toggle the gate so you never have to worry about hitting the wrong one it’s also spam proof so no Matter how quickly you hit the button nothing will break this gate works by having a compact vertical triple piston extender on the top hidden by blocks and a similar build on the bottom that you can cover with sand gravel or concrete powder to make it completely hidden you Can place the buttons anywhere you want and they feed into a zero tick t flip flop to swap between turning on the top or bottom pistons as quickly as possible here’s what you need to build this castle gate and then you need to add this for each block long your gate is i Couldn’t have made this design without the help of my friend quipless so go check out his channel in the description and while you’re there don’t forget to subscribe to me as well to see cool stuff whenever i make it this is actually really easy to build so let me Show you so we’re going to begin by finding the area we want to build our castlegate at and we’re going to draw a line where we want the gate to be so i’m going to make a three wide one right here here’s everything i’m going to need To build this so let me get all that so we’re gonna go up to the line for our castle gate and we’re gonna go two blocks to the right and place one here and we want our buttons to connect to this wherever they are it doesn’t matter How far away they are let’s put one like four blocks that way let’s do four blocks on this side too with the buttons right here so as long as they connect to this block right here that’s all that really matters and then from this block we’re gonna make our zero tick piston so We’re gonna go out two blocks like this and two to the left connect the middle right here with redstone and then on the middle one we’re going to place a redstone repeater and on the left of that it’s going to be a comparator just like this These are going to point into a sticky piston and a block and now because of the redstone uh repeater in the comparator it will power and unpower the piston at the same tick making anything connected to this a zero tick piston if you don’t know how that works don’t Worry about it you don’t really need to but what we’re gonna do now is we’re gonna dig some working area over here all the way to underneath this block right here don’t worry about digging exactly out just how much you need just dig enough so that you have enough room To work with but make sure it’s five blocks down from where we started all right so i finished digging i’m from where we started over here there’s the zero tick and then we go all the way over to this little line we made for the gate And so now over here on the zero tick on the right side right here we’re gonna place a sticky piston facing down and just so it’s easier to understand you can see it up here the redstone repeater points into the sticky piston facing down right there off of this sticky piston we’re gonna Have an observer and then two temporary blocks and we’re gonna make a diagonal out of our solid blocks like that we’re going to cover these blocks with redstone dust and we’re going to run it two blocks towards us like this going to place a block at the end here With a repeater and then another block and then we’re going to have another repeater running into this block with four ticks and a block behind that so you have this weird kind of triangle shape here but this one’s one this one’s four and you’re going to connect this one With redstone dust as well and now this is a pulse extender so that we can time our bottom sticky piston thing correctly so let’s break our little line right here where our gates gonna go we’re gonna run redstone dust outside of this block for as long as your gate is gonna be We’re gonna get some observers and have them look at that redstone dust right here then we’re going to build up with three observers we’re going to have solid blocks in front of them like this with redstone repeaters on top of those redstone dust on top of the observers And then we’re going to stack up with all of our sticky pistons right here up three and then above these repeaters we’re going to remove the ground a little bit for right now we’re going to place some observers on top of those and now all the redstone for the bottom Should be done that was fairly easy let’s put in our concrete powder right here and if you want to see it from the side it should look like this this is what your triple piston extender should look like there here’s all the redstone and you can pretty much cover up all This just to make sure you don’t cover up the corners of the redstone dust otherwise you’ll cut them off and they won’t work so next we can place our gate we’re going to place it on top of these concrete powders right here and it needs to be six high so let’s go three Four five six like that we’re gonna place solid blocks on top of it we’re gonna dig out or build out one block on each side like that and now if we drop down here and we get a water bucket we’re going to get some more sticky pistons we’re going to place the sticky Piston then temporary block then observer and we’re going to break our temporary block right there then we’re going to get a full block with redstone on top and now you can use glass or slabs but a glass is going to be a lot easier to build with we’re going to do temporary block Towards the gate glass on top then redstone and we’re going to ladder back and forth with the glass seven times so that’s one this will be two that’ll be three four five six and seven just like that we’re gonna have a temporary block right here we’re gonna go up into the left one Break this here let me get a little third person view for you right here i’ll get another screenshot later from the side for you you’ll place one more redstone dust and then one more repeater right here and that should be good for right there so let’s drop down onto this platform right here We’re gonna get our normal pistons and then off of this we’re going to place three more glass right here and then three pistons coming down from each glass just like that and you should have a jump in room right here between the platform and the piston that’s how you Know you built it correctly so now we’re gonna get some temporary blocks we’re gonna build out we’re going to go up and then off of these three pistons we’re going to place observers like that and now we can go back down here down from these observers we’re going to Place another observer then a note block and then another observer and then a solid block right here and now we’re gonna build back up on top of the pistons and we’re going to place redstone dust on top of the glass right here and now we can dig back down Let’s drop back down here and assuming everything went correctly if we press this button our gate should open press it again and our gate should close and now you have your fully working castle gate in vanilla minecraft and it’s very fast too Video Information

I made a working Minecraft castle gate with no Mods and no Command Blocks !! This is a tutorial on how to make a working castle gate in Minecraft This castle gate / portcullis was designed by me with help from my friend @Kwipla ! Hope you enjoy! Sadly, Java and Bedrock Edition Redstone is non-compatible and there are no plans for it to be fixed in the future.. :/ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Follow these for a cookie!
