How to build Amazing Terrain in Minecraft!

Welcome to the world of terrain Creation in this tutorial we’ll be taking a look on how you can improve from basic training to more advanced but before we get started terrain isn’t basic so I expect you to know basic world edit already terraforming can be an amazing way to

Practice building tool knowledge which is why a lot of different plugins will be used so I don’t want to see any comments about how to wear too many different commands used because terrain is a lot of experimenting with tools unless you do it by hand because that’s different

If no all the tools you will know what the tools are capable of and then it’s more up to you the usage of it the links to the Wiki’s for the plugins will be linked in the description you won’t need all the plugins just using worldedit and

Vox sniper it can be enough if you’ve made Terrain in survival it probably looks something like this now if you can make terrain like this you have a decent Foundation of smoothing and trying to be a little bit like Organics so you don’t want any stairs only or awkward platforms

An entry-level train can be something like a like a hill without any cliffs you can do that by placing down the sphere brushes and then you can smooth it but if there’s one thing that I can’t stand dude it’s when people don’t smooth out the balls so they just leave the

Spheres as they are don’t do this always smooth out the balls for smoothing you can use BR smooth smooth or blunt ball so if we want to smooth this little Hill that we got here we can do a smooth brush with world edit and that looks like this

VR smooth and then the radius which I will set to three and then I can smooth it out like this super simple pretty all right and there’s a little Hill or we can do is a smooth command which is just selecting the area Smooth that’s gonna look a little bit weird on a small scale like this but it works fairly well on a larger scale and lastly we have the blend ball for this you need a boxer sniper which is the arrow and the gun powder and then you do slash B for brush blend ball

Or BB and then you can smooth it out like this and there’s our little Hill so those are the three ways you can do it okay so what if we have an overhang like this if we want to smooth this with smooth brush the world that it’s smooth looks a

Little bit weird with angles which is why it makes these ledges and if we try to smooth the underside here it’s just gonna do this and that is just completely ruining the shape that we have so be your smooth is trash for overhangs if we try the smooth command Moves it’s gonna do the same thing just gonna completely remove the overhang but if we have the blend ball again and we can adjust the size by doing a slightly B and then the size let’s do five it works perfectly on the angles like this I like them overhangs and stuff like that

So blend ball is by far the best tool for smoothing under things there is a free plugin called go brush and go brush is very good for creating Terrain it works like this if you punch the air it shows you this menu and if you right click this book it’s gonna activate it

And if you left click it you can see all the brushes you can choose for example I’m gonna do sharp cliff here I can change the size either up or down maybe a double down I can shift click and that’s gonna increase or decrease by 10.

Intensity is just how high it’s gonna go like this is the width of the brush and this is the height okay so if I do if I do 50 and now let’s do it it looks like that As you can see it creates like a little mountain that we can work on now the special thing with go brush is that we can make this shape right here and then select the area foreign and then we can run the smooth command that I showed you earlier

And that’s like the perfect combination of tools smooth and cool brush and here you have a super quick train it’s not very polished but at least it’s like a very Dynamic train another thing you can do with go brush is that you can enable flat mode and that’s super nice

For creating platforms so if I would click right here it’s gonna Elevate all the train to the same height and like if you wanted to build a like a house or a road it’s like perfect so you just click a few times and then you have a platform

For your house or whatever you want to build if you’re feeling bored don’t worry here’s a picture of a dog now if you want to level up your terrain further you need to add more shapes into your terrain just blend balling everything doesn’t make it interesting

Enough you can do this very easily with for example cylinder brush but just like with any other command overuse of it will make your shape very boring this is when you need to combine different Tools in order to make an interesting shape moving on from tools into composition if you find this boring

That’s your fault you wanted this just like in structures you want elevation depth and interesting shapes what I mean by elevation is just different height on on for example platforms what we can do to understand the elevation aspect is to make a line from a platform going across the whole build

And that’s going to make it easier to tell if something is on the same height or not if we have a build that only has one line going through the whole build or we have multiple lines but they’re all in the same height then the build won’t look as interesting

Terrains that aren’t symmetrical are more interesting but that could be personal preference depth can help your layout look way better so instead of using a basic terrain layout like this you can make it feel more immersive by moving stuff forward and backwards you can make this effect with rocks Bridges houses or trees

If you want to spice up your drain a little bit you can put in interesting shapes but it’s very difficult to make an interesting shape if you don’t know any tools well I suggest that you go to a Wiki of a plugin that you want to try out maybe like four

Or maybe a voxel sniper and then you try to combine all the tools and the more you combine the tools the more unique your shapes will be and that is why you want to learn as many tools as you can because the more you combine the more unique

All right I am here chilling in my tool experimenting area and I’m gonna show you some magic okay so in orchion the premium plugin there is a tool called teragen and it works like this so if you were to select an area like this we now run a terrigen

So first we want the pattern right here so I choose simplex and then this is the block and if we just oops if we just run this it’s going to create a shape like this now this can of course be expanded into a way larger area if we wanted it to be

And that’s going to create the same pattern but maybe we don’t want Simplex we want a different pattern if we do this we can now see all the patterns that we can do Simplex fractal billowy rigid turbulence electric euclidean Manhattan natural and poly those are all the different ones you can choose

So as you can see they can look very different over here I have a few of them this is the Manhattan one and that looks like this then we have the Simplex very organic shaped and then the poorly it looks like a scrapped piece of paper basically we

Can try another pattern maybe we can do let’s do Bill below so this is what build away looks like and as you can see it’s very different from the other patterns so this is something you can mess around with experiment a little bit in Orchid there is a brush called Arc brush

In here you can choose a bunch of different things but the thing I’m gonna show you today is Boulder which is super powerful the first is the block I’m gonna choose one or stone same thing then it’s the height I can set that to 20. and then it’s the smoothness so you

Can either do one and then up to five so one is like a really not smooth I can show you what that looks like so as you can see it’s a little bit poorly everywhere and if I do five there it’s gonna be super round

We can do more numbers here so we can do the width that can be five and then the the depth could be 10. now this is very important if we add minus a flag like it’s gonna Place depending of our direction of looking so if I look up like this and then place

It’s gonna look like that this is super fun to play around with and it can be super good for quick trains so I do really recommend this also fun fact I showed you earlier the minus F flag that also works for Boulder If you have access to meta brushes there are two commands that are very good for terraforming the first one is slash B angle cliff and if you set your your size to maybe 20 and then you press one of these glass blocks it’s gonna create a shape like this

And the good thing is that it’s kind of random every click so it’s not gonna look the same over and over again and like I said there’s another command and it’s called slash BMB I’m gonna lower my brush size to maybe let’s do five it’s kind of like erosion right

So it’s very useful for creating shapes like this and when I click with the gun powder it’s gonna do the opposite right then it’s gonna take away a little bit it acts almost like blend Ball but it’s like less about smoothing and more about shaping Yeah so that’s two very useful commands in meta brushes not everyone is gonna have meta brushes but if you play on a server that has it then it’s like amazing for a terraforming and talking about the server I can recommend the bakery server right now we are testing everything and
