And welcome back everybody to another beer games how to today we’ll be showing you how to port forward a Netgear router now if you have a different kind of router it’s gonna be kind of the same philosophy you just might have to click different things and it might look Different but basically the same steps apply so try and follow along if you have any questions leave them in the comments and I’ll do my best to help you out so first thing you want to do is just get some information off your computer what you want to do I have Windows 8 so I’m gonna go to the magnifying glass here and type CMD the command prompt open that up and then what you want to type here’s IP config just like that IP c un fi g then click enter new spaces or anything what you’re looking for here is ipv4 address Simmons 1 9 2 1 6 8 1 & 3 and the decimal places make a difference so just whatever that is on your computer write that down now and write it down as the ipv4 alright close that out next thing you want to do is go to just go up In your top here and type what’s my IP and then this will be your public IP address so whatever this is here you want to write that down as well as your public IP address this is the number your friends will use to access your server so this will be the number you Give to your friends so you can go ahead and close that down so once that’s all set up what you want to do is open your browser again for neck year what you’re gonna want to do is type in router login dotnet and then it will bring this up Here your username is going to be a default set to admin and your password is gonna be password so you just click login you know bring this up what you need to do is click advanced go down to advanced setup and then you want to go down to port forwarding and port Triggering alright so what you want to do is type in that first ipv4 address that we found so 119 168 for me it’s one point three and then you want to click Add so and then after it’s added you want to click here and edit service and Then your external port in your ending or your starting port and your ending port they’re both going to be the same it’s going to be two five five six five that is the default port from minecraft servers so – five five six five after that’s done you can click apply And then you should see it here and that should be really all you need to do so then let’s just close that out we’ll go into minecraft actually let’s just run a server here oh quick just so I can show you everything so that servers running Let’s run minecraft play give it a few seconds here to load to Mojang any any day now would be great and so here so multiplayer what you’re going to do is see it’s already here so let me just delete it just to show you you’re gonna Do go to add server server name whatever you want to call it and I’ll call it what it was basically this is me and my friend server and then you’re gonna want to type in the one nine to the ipv4 address and then click done so it’ll be here and Then if your friends are trying to log in they will go to add server they will name it whatever the hell they want to name it and then they wanted to go and add whatever this IP address was – for 101 104 150 so if I go here and type it here – 4.10 1.15 0 done see I can access it both if your friends type in the IP v4 they won’t be able to access it they have to use this IP address because what your computer’s router is doing is anybody that types of this in on minecraft it’s gonna allow them to Access your computer so they need this number here and so basically you’re good to go now you can just join the server and see where I’m at I’m on the edge here I want a custom map that I was playing on it’s pretty epic so alright guys if You have any questions leave some comments and if there’s any more informative videos that I can do for you just let me know alright like and subscribe to our channel for more of these videos and have a great day see ya Video Information
