So you wanna learn how to use command blocks well you’ve come to the right place because in today’s video i’m gonna be teaching you everything you need to know about these really really awesome blocks and also i’m to be showing you five command block commands that are very typically used so Let’s get right into it okay so this is the area we are working with right now you can see this is where i did the intro to now first things first you’re gonna need to get yourself a command block now the way to do it is to open chat and type in slash Give at p command underscore block and when you click enter this will give you a command block now first things first we’re going to place one out right here now i’m going to teach you some of the and i’m just gonna start with this menu because it is it is Quite a bit so the first thing we have here is the hover node now this really doesn’t change the way it works i can just write in subscribe um okay i can’t write uh there we go subscribe and you’ll see that it just hovers above the command block it’s just A way to keep keep track of what command blocks do what but uh yeah you can change that to whatever you do and it doesn’t change the command below that is the block type now this has three different modes the impulse the chain which looks like this very Cool beautiful like greenish color and then finally the repeat which is probably the most used and it’s the purple one i use this one a lot at least the next thing is conditions now this is basically just if you want to have a condition for your Redstone you’ll have to type it in in that case which we’re not gonna do in this video we’re just gonna do unconditional but yeah conditional is basically if you want to give a certain condition to it and then the redstone is basically that it needs redstone Or is always active so if i were so especially with a repeat command block you can see that if so if i would for example do slash give at p uh grass let’s just say that you will see that it will give me a lot of grass It will give me a lot of grass there’s these three molds dude certain things now the impulse basically means it triggers whenever a redstone signal activates it or whenever something triggers it a chain command block is something that you can actually use if this one activates the chain will Activate as well and you can make a how long chain you ever want and uh yeah these will all activate just when whenever this activates so that’s what chained us and i already told you about repeat okay so down here we have the delay in ticks now this Really is just how long you want it to take so for example if i set it to be just zero you can see that whenever i pull this lever i get a new one now basically what the delaying ticks does is if i set it to for example 20 you’ll see that I’ll get it after a little bit you can see that if i pull it again it takes a little more more time now let’s move on to the command input this has a very very special one if you click the plus you’ll actually get the full display up Here where you can write a lot of text we have the we have these weird at symbols now what these do is basically they do different things so if i were to give my to do slash give at s it will give a block to myself i’ll give a block to myself If i do at p it will give to the nearest player after that we have the at r which is the random player then we have at a which basically is for all players and finally we have at e which stands for the entities okay so now we now we Know some basic information about this block let’s actually get into the commands part of it so i’m going to show you five commands i’m actually gonna do clear first to remove all my items but yeah what i’m gonna do now is actually show you five different Commands that i think are very used so if you open up your command block and you place that and then you can open up the full screen i’m going to write in the first one which is of course slash give at p or whatever you want really now if I type in in the chat you actually get a little more help because you’ll see that it says i can give it to a certain amount of people it says down there what i can do if i do that p you’ll see that it actually shows What item i can give so that is really handy let’s say you want for example quartz then you obviously need to check here what it’s called so it is quartz block and then i get a quartz block let’s slash give at p and then we do quartz Block now i do recommend you check the chat actually because that can help you with the spelling and stuff but yeah basically what we’ve got here now is this command block that gives me a quart block that’s pretty simple pretty straightforward if i grab myself a lever you can see that Whenever i pull it it sends a pulse and i get a quartz block okay that’s pretty simple let’s move over to something a bit more advanced let’s move on to the repeating ones these are the really interesting ones okay so i’ve reset this area and we’re going to talk a lot about The repeating commands which uh has very interesting things to do with the comparator now i’m going to give you a brand new command here and it is slash test for at p square bracket within with a range and then you can type in whatever you want we’ll just do Five for now so you will see you can see that it will that we’ve got the command in there however at the moment this doesn’t do anything it just says that it found us and it has found us but it doesn’t do anything so to change that we’re gonna use Comparators they detect whenever this detects you so if i place one out you can see it lights up these usually don’t light up but because it detects me it lights up but when i go far away you can see it doesn’t detect me anymore so it Stops and so next to this i’m going to place myself a redstone dust just so you know i get a regular signal output and then i’m going to place another command block over here and this is going to just do another slash give At p so yeah now it has set to give me a diamond sword now you can see whenever i go close he gave me a diamond sword but that’s pretty much it for the repeating command okay this next command is usually used in the chat too and not only by command blocks This is the fill command now basically i forgot to give myself a command block so i’m just gonna give myself a command look real quick there we go slash fill and then it’s gonna want you to write down what coordinates you want to fill so let’s say your first coordinates Are right here and then the command block and that is what you’ve written down as your first three coordinates so basically you can imagine the first command is here and the the first commands right here the second commands right here and basically all together it kind of makes this whole area Get filled in so now now that i have that i can actually grab myself a lever and you can see that whenever i pull it it is going to fill that area with cobblestone now another way is actually with the structure block now i’ll pull i’ll put up a picture on screen or Something so you can see how that looks and i do want to make a video on that very soon so make sure you tell me in the comments if you want to see that because that’s also very similar to the fill command okay so this next command is probably one of the most Useful ones and it is the teleportation one now this one’s used a lot in chat too so you can do a slash tp at p and then right in to someone or just some coordinates so if i do like 20 20 and 20 you can see i will get teleported to This area right here okay so you already know the test for command is useful so we might as well make the best out of it the last command we’re going to use is the slash kill now this one’s going to be fairly quick so let’s see if you understand it now That you actually know something about command blocks i’m going to connect it to the actual redstone there we go and i’m gonna do slash kill at p okay so here we are in survival mode whenever i enter i die thank you for watching very cool of you Hopefully you know a little bit more about command blocks after this video
