How To WIN At PvP In Minecraft Legends

Hello everybody prowl here and today we are going to go over multiplayer in Minecraft Legends now I have a lot of critiques in multiplayer I’m not really going to touch on any of those today if you want to see my multiplayer critique check out my review video about the game

Or I will probably end up recording a like suggestions video on how Mojang can fix Minecraft Legends multiplayer but this is what we have for now so let’s go over some tips tricks strategies how it works Etc to play multiplayer mode you’re just going to click on versus

Mode first you’re going to have a few different ways to join in or host a game if you go to join game you can just simply go to a public game and that is it when you click on public game it’s going to take you to a screen where it

Finds a public game for you we’re in pre-release right now so I cannot easily just find one for you guys to see and unfortunately there are no options here you can’t even go as far as selecting what size of a like team that you want it automatically queues up for 4v4 and

If it sits with three people versus three people for long enough you can you can start a 3v3 game but that’s it if you want to host a game yourself you can host a public game here where you can’t invite friends and fill in with public

People or you can host a private game where only your friends and people that you invite are able to get in now if you do a private game you can do different team sizes you can start the game either alone just to poke around and take a

Look around yourself or you could fill in however many teams and Slots you want to and you can even hit the Y button here to change your team over so if you want to have fun doing a 1v4 against your friends or if you want to set up a

2v2 or whatever you can do that right here you do have to invite them via the Xbox app or via the friends menu that is right here so you can do that if you want to there is no like invite code or something like that to where you can

Just give the code to a group of people and just have them type in a code of joints so it’s a little cumbersome but it is possible and then you do have training mode as well it just puts you in a game it gets an AI that is in a

Already built base and it just sits there and defends the base that’s it you don’t have to worry about them attacking or anything like that it’s just for you to kind of poke around and learn the game we’ll actually be playing around in this mode today as we talk about

Multiplayer strategies so let’s go ahead let’s go to training let’s hit the start button and let’s get into a match and I want to start out by just explaining the basics of how multiplayer Works in Minecraft Legends and one of the first things I will let you know is you do not

Have any way in Game of communicating with your teammates what it is a big drawback again I’m not going to go over my my complaints of the game here too much but just know there’s no way for you to communicate with your teammates in the game at all you’re going to want

To have some other type of voice chat or other means of communication when you’re playing with your friends um and of course if you’re playing in a public match without friends just with random people um you’re good luck but when we get into a match here we start out with just one

Thing we have our like our home Tower here and that’s it if we pull up the map we’re gonna see if few diff wow this is the first time I’ve seen this usually there’s three hordes of the hunt but now this time there’s only two and you’re

Gonna see a bunch of biomes laid around we have the Fate lands which is usually like right in the middle almost every time sometimes it’s really tiny sometimes it’s rather large like it is here you have a meadow a jungle a swamp Badlands and Jagged Peak so basically

End up with like seven or eight other biomes and those ones are at random although I do think that there is a requirement for the game to put in at least one of each type they’re shaped spaced out positioned differently every map all of these maps are procedurally

Generated and you’re going to start out with not a lot you’re gonna have three lays for building three lays for resource Gathering and all you have access to is Stone and wood that’s it at first we’ll talk about getting upgrades here in a little bit but we’re going to

Want to go ahead and we’re going to want to start collecting now Stone especially is very important you’re going to use quite a lot of it and quite a lot of wood so we want to get our guys out there and get them started and then we’re gonna actually want to start

Building ourselves some defenses so I’m going to put up some Arrow Towers here and we are going to end up balling things off and I’m not going to be too organized with this currently but I do know that we’re going to end up Walling off around these Arrow Towers in the

Very near future this will help save us from some early attacks that we may end up suffering and piglens are going to attack our base soon because while this is a PVP game mode there is a little bit of PVE in it as well actually there’s a

Decent amount of PVE in it the piglens they will attack your base day and night nothing too strong nothing too crazy but just know that it is going to come your way so you do want to have some early defenses up keep in mind also you’re gonna have your teammates here with you

To help you out in the battles I will talk about some teaming strategies here in just a little bit but first I want you to get a feel on everything that there is to do in multiplayer prior to going over strategies when playing with other players so now that we have some

Towers up I can go ahead and I can afford to connect some of them we can put a wall right here also keep in mind I always forget this and I kind of forgot it right here while I was doing this you do want to put gates up first

Because otherwise you’re going to have to individually Tear Down the Walls to get the gates up and it takes a long time you do not have that type of time to spare in a multiplayer match it looks like our stone is almost done Gathering we’re gonna go gather a little bit more

Let’s get some extra lapis here because we are going to need that so let’s go ahead let’s put ourselves a gate like right up here in the front let’s connect that gate with some walls and one important thing to note all the time is always make sure that you have a lays

Out getting whatever materials it is that you need to get try not to have much idle time with the Lays unfortunately there’s no like indicator that tells you like oh hey by the way your ladies they’re sitting here not doing anything so we don’t have that to

Kind of like help keep us on track but in any event just kind of keep an eye out down there make sure that you’re sending your lays out to gather resources all the time okay we are now fully walled off and we have four Towers

Up this is a good start you’ve got to make sure because once this thing once you’re like home base like building there gets knocked down that’s it it’s done now another thing you’re going to want to do early as well is you’re going to want to go find The Horde piglet

Areas are you’re going to want to head out there because there’s something very special out here you’re going to need and you’re going to need a lot of and you’re going to need a lot of it very constantly and that is going to be lapis because just like in the single player

Campaign if you’ve played it lapis is what you use to get your improvements or your upgrades so we’re gonna go in here we’re going to spawn at about 10 of these guys and uh we’re gonna go ahead and we’re just going to kind of send

Them off to the back and tell them to destroy everything in their path on the way and if I want to get this quick enough which I do I might go ahead and I might just spawn in another 10 and then maybe I’ll send these guys out this way

Tell them to fight and kill everything that direction and then while we wait we can are under attack that’s okay it’s just some piglets are all my stuff we should be fine but that does warn you whenever piglens or whatever is going to attack if you can get your relays on larger

Resources like this it is helpful it means you’re gonna have to do less micromanaging so I’m gonna go ahead I’m gonna put one up there on wood okay we’ll put two on the same one so they finish this quicker I guess will be the best strategy to do and then we got our

Stone guy back as well we still need more Stone so I’m gonna go ahead I’m gonna plop him on top of one of these Stone pillars putting these up high is very smart to do because it’s going to keep your enemies and piglens from breaking your Lake collection areas and

Stopping your lace from working we do oh man um hopefully I’m not missing any lapis no no no no no yes just barely got that on time we’ve missed some over here though it did despawn but that’s fine that’s all right we’ll live so I’m going

To go ahead I’m just going to send these guys back out here for now I don’t need them dying while these structures kind of Spawn back in and I need to go back to my base because we need to build some improvement Towers on the way there

We’re going to pull up the area and actually first before we do anything else we have to have an improvement Hub so we can add improvements in so let’s go ahead and let’s get that built I made my area a little small here but that’s okay this is just like an example and

Let’s get a couple of additional Towers out for defense and then we want to be able to start collecting other resources and these towers the the resource-based ones they’re actually really inexpensive so I would recommend go ahead and make those ASAP that way you can start collecting other resources while you go

Around now these upgrades they cost a lot of stone so again always keep the stone coming in let’s get one of these big pillars right here because we’re gonna be pumping some upgrades now this right here this this is the name of the game and as you can see there’s a lot to

Do you need to split time between Base building collecting resources seeing what your opponent is doing and getting prismarine so as you can see um it’s a hefty task which is why this game is really designed to be a team based game Let’s uh let’s send these

Guys right on the way back here let’s make ourselves Let’s see we have five here let’s make ourselves five more send them right the way on back here as well as you can see we have lapis rolling in now and we’re actually starting to get our lays freeing up from collecting

Stone inside we’ll go ahead I’m gonna collect a little bit of iron back here we can start getting some iron and after I get a little bit more lapis here from his last two structures I think we’ll go back and we’ll start working on uh getting some extra structures and we’re

Going to start start talking more strategy rather than doing because there’s a lot of ways that you can go from here so at this point you kind of understand how multiplayer works and really now it’s going to be about strategy and that strategy is going to

Vary quite a bit depending on you know what are you do doing what is your opponent doing do you have teammates what are your teammates doing and what is the overall lay of the land how are things going well like I said I always recommend it first go ahead and put

Yourselves down all of the required material Gathering upgrades first this could cost you a lot of stone so this is why I say collect Stone early and another reason honestly this is very critical is as you unlock the ability to collect these resources you also unlock

The ability to make the units that these resources require you can see now we have Mossy Golems grindstone Golems creepers skeletons and we’re about to unlock zombies as well and have any Superior Army composition mixed up of units that are really made to fight together and counter whatever your enemy

Is running is really vital to winning battles this is one of the things I’ve noticed in multiplayer matches that I’ve had so far against others and keep in mind you know right now I’m still in pre-release stage so I’m only playing against other people that have been

Granted for your release status but it doesn’t take away from the fact that while strategies may change some things don’t and how people play the game in a general sense is almost always going to be the same people are going to try to rush you or harass you early or do a

Number of different things to kind of throw you off or try to win the game and one thing that you can do is make sure your base is defended if you’re not going with a quick early attack and to make sure that you can make units that

Are better than the enemies units so we would probably early on here give ourselves the ability to make all of the units because it’s not really costly for us to make these spawners and we will have to go collect some of these other resources to be able to make those

Spawners there but if we want to be able to fight enemy units we may want to make the grindstone Golem if we want to take down more structures quicker whether it be the enemies or where the piglens we want more of these guys again these dudes right here the plank Golem they’re

Good at fighting other units and then always always always I implore you to always make sure you mix in a few of these guys because they’re going to help give you that like cost benefit right they’re going to heal up your units that are fighting the enemy units keeping

Your units alive longer making you win those battles rather than lose them and make you lose less units while you do meaning you’re spending less time and resources on spawning in new units now from here it’s strategy is really going to vary based on what you and your team

Want to do so I’m not going to go too far into all the ins and outs of what’s possible but some things that you may want to think of are you going to need another Improvement Hub because you need more space would you like to be able to

Rally more troops to your side meaning that one person one individual can carry a larger army with them do you want to be able to spawn more units in probably not early on but in the near future you’ll want to be able to do that do you

Want to get resources quicker you can add yourself a building and Gathering delay by adding in an abundant a lays Improvement center and then what is your in-game strategy going to be are you going to go for Redstone launchers in which case you’re gonna need to get that Redstone Improvement pretty quick and

Pretty early on or do you want to try strategy honestly I haven’t really tried a lot yet and I’d be interested to try it and see how it goes which is build the first and you could put this down and build some of the first which are

Extremely powerful mobs to help you out and your battles that you’re going to have to go through throughout the game next you’re going to want to decide how are you going to play the game do you like to play defensively basically waiting to crush a big attack from your

Opponent only to counter-attack them back when they’re building back up or are you a very offensive style player and you like to go on the attack yourself this is where it’s going to matter a lot if you’re going to go on the defensive there’s a couple of

Important things that I want you to know about that you’re going to want to make sure that you have first and probably most importantly over anything else is you’re going to want to get a protector Tower a protector Tower is going to make it so when your enemy brings in a

Redstone launcher which believe me they will when they bring that Redstone launcher in it’s going to shoot those projectiles out of the sky and make it so you don’t get killed now it has a short range so you’re going to end up putting it right by your main tower here

And also as of the time of this recording I have a little caveat here for you we’ve made a suggestion of hopefully they make this change but they have not as of this recording it does not reach the tippity top of your Tower so if somebody aims for the top of your

Tower with a redstone launcher it can still be hit meaning that getting those defenses up is good and you want to make sure that you get them up whether it be that or whether it be some of these other defensive structures to help you out such as the spy glass which can make

It so your Towers can see further out or the kaboomery to make it so your Towers shoot explosive arrows or maybe even a carpenter Hut to heal your walls and structures back up along with a masonry to turn them all onto Stone there’s a lot of defensive structures here that

You’re probably going to want to use in conjunction with each other to stop the enemy but I cannot stress this enough none of that stuff’s gonna matter if your opponent sets up a redstone launcher somewhere a little ways outside of your base then they have a spy glass

Hooked up to it and they just start going to town on your base so one thing that you need to do is listen for those in-game cues because you will get an in-game cue at some point that tells you that a redstone launcher has been built

And the second you hear those words you better start Fanning out and go around the whole perimeter find out where that Redstone launcher is and you’re gonna have to throw everything you have at it because if you don’t your Tower is going to go bye-bye and that’s going to be it

Again hopefully they change this and who knows again we’re still in pre-release maybe a new meta comes out where people aren’t doing that and there’s better like super good ways to counter it that we haven’t figured out yet or whatever but as of right now you hear Redstone Tower you attack Redstone Tower

Immediately which by the way you can even fight off or attack the Redstone Tower I keep saying Redstone Tower Redstone launcher you can launch on the launcher yourself so a redstone launcher defensively can be a good way to defend against a redstone launcher off offensively now I want to show you guys

Some offensive strategies or at least the main one right now and again I think more will develop be sure to catch me in live streams if you want to see more of these strategies because I’m very open and actually creative in the way where I like to try different ways to win the

Game and see if we can find that next strategy before anybody else does but for now this is the main way to win and I’ve actually found a little caveat on how to do it even better that I’m going to show you guys before I think anybody

Else knows it at least at least anybody that I’ve seen because I just came up with it or thought of it myself and we’re gonna need a lot of redstone for this so I’m waiting for some of my gathering delays to free up that way we can start Gathering some Redstone okay

So here we go we are at an enemy base and whenever you’re attacking enemy base it depends on what their behavior is and how well skilled they are but you probably don’t want to just attack right up the front door because they’re gonna see you and they’re gonna come after you

Right away so we may want to like hide or obscure ourselves from our opponent so what I’m going to do is I’m going to work my way over here into the jungle where we actually have a decent amount of cover it’s going to take them a

Little bit of work to see us let me get rid of these piglens here and I’m trying to see is there a good angle that I can take where I can see them easily have like a good line of sight I can put down some structures and I can fire a

Redstone Cannon and I say put down some structures because we’re going to have some additional structures to put down I don’t want to put down underneath the tree canopies because I believe I’m pretty sure they will stop my projectile and like there there’s no good spot over

Here let’s check this side we have a bird let’s get the bird also explore your map you get some nice little rewards as you go through that was just some lapis and some cold nothing crazy but it’s good it’s great right um I don’t know if we’re going to be

Able to reach from here I don’t think we will you have to get used to the range in which you’re going to be able to operate from in this case I think we’re gonna have to play things a little bit more dangerously and instead of attacking from the side we’re gonna have

To go with the full frontal assault so since we’re gonna go that route we’re actually going to set ourselves up for Success here what I mean by that is let’s go ahead let’s let’s kind of like set up Behind These pillars right here let’s get ourselves some defenses set up

You’re going to want to do this quick you’re probably going to want to have a friend with you or whoever you’re playing with to come out and kind of help you out a little bit now the last thing we’re going to build is the Redstone launcher because once the enemy

Hears that a redstone launcher is on the way it’s game time it’s game one it’s about to go down okay but we have three things you’re going to want to build we’re going to want to build an Outlook Tower and we’ll put it back far enough

To where it reaches all of our Towers here uh we’ll want to put up a battle drum I’m gonna need a little bit more Redstone which is one of the reasons why I picked this area right here and now we’re going to want to put down our Redstone launcher and there’s a specific

Reason why we’re using these things we need the range and the Spyglass Tower it gives a lot of it a ton of it and we want to be able to take down things fast once this thing is done so the battle drum actually makes our Redstone

Launcher shoot faster so I want you to watch how fast I could take down this enemy base as soon as this launcher goes up now normally I’d probably have an army here as well to help defend me because we’re going to get attacked and because this case though I don’t have to

Worry about it because we’re just playing against the PC unit here so I’m gonna go ahead I’m gonna reach the very tip top of the tower right there so that way the protector can’t stop the Redstone launcher from attacking it if they haven’t protect her up even and you’re gonna see here

Because of the battle drum here in just a short moment we’re going to be able to shoot this thing off again and it’s available to shoot again now as you can see I got enemy troops coming my way which is fine we’re gonna go ahead we’re gonna put down some stuff

To protect us uh we’re gonna fire off again reach that tippy top go ahead make some more units Place those up front and basically like as soon as this thing goes down it’s all hands on deck you get everybody everybody that’s anywhere like on your team whatever get them out here it’s all

In to protect the Redstone launcher because as you can see on this fourth volley we’re going to win the match your first place boom there we go and that at this very point in time this is the easiest quickest way to win a match get yourself that launcher set up

Give yourself a battle drum give yourself a spy glass you can even add in a kaboomery for a little extra area damage on top of it all it’s probably not a bad idea and then it’s a quick victory for you if you enjoyed this multiplayer video please leave a like
