This is me attempting to get Minecraft’s craziest advancement, almost there. And the rules for this are to go through any nether portal One Billion times With 4 seconds for each portal this would take one hundred and twenty six years and I never thought this would be possible until I dug a little deeper. So after researching this challenge further I found this, a data pack that allows you to go through a nether portal instantaneously which would reduce the time by far, to the speed of my computer loading the chunks. And after testing this out, My time was 1.7 seconds per portal, a massive reduction from the original time. In Minecraft 1.16, a snapshot was added as a joke, introducing infinite dimensions to the game, and with this snapshot came the advancement almost there, and to complete this challenge, I need to go through one billion dimensions And with This massive time improvement it would still take 53 years. So the next step to reduce my time would be to make it so the chunks are already loaded in both dimensions and with this mechanism I learned about from a very helpful tutorial by Geko, I’d Be able to do it. Through building this machine by the portal in each dimension, the speed of my computer wouldn’t be as much of an issue as I wouldn’t need to wait for the chunks to load. So I logged onto my server, lowered my render distance, and reduced the graphics To maximize the frame rate, so after giving myself speed 100 and putting a box around the portal to limit the movement, I could theoretically run through each dimension in the span of milliseconds. However to maximize the efficiency, I couldn’t just spam the forward and Backwards keys so I needed to program a bot to do the typing for me for more precision and speed. So now that every part of the plan was in place, the time to complete this challenge was reduced by far, but was still multiple years. And since I did not have that much Time to complete this project, I had to come up with another solution. I had no idea what to do. This was impossible. And after a week of thinking I figured it out. Time Travel So this might seem impossible, this is Albert Einstein, and he theorized relativity. So let’s Say this line is time, and with a huge amount of gravity, time is warped. And since Earth has a lot more gravity than space, if I sent my computer to space, time would speed up there by Far, and by the time it got back, the bot would have gone through the portal one BILLION times. But that left one issue, I needed to get my computer to space. And the best way to do this would be to contact SpaceX and ask Elon Musk whether he could launch my computer outside of the atmosphere. So I sent SpaceX a call Hey, um, could you send my computer to space? But I couldn’t give up now so I needed to figure out a design for a time machine to complete this challenge Orrr, I could do this… Video Information
