Insane Adventure: Playing Decked Out 2

Hello everyone and welcome to a very different kind of video today hermitcraft season 9 ended just the other day and a world download was released which means I get to finally get my hands on what I believe to be the single greatest achievement in Minecraft

Community and one of the Hermits Tango went above and beyond to both design and build this Frozen Citadel called deck out 2 and it’s a fully-fledged jungeon I can’t speak and it’s a fully fledged Dungeon Crawler where you’ve got to go in use a compass to find an artifact

With a massive Labyrinth and then get out again but that’s not all it’s filled with ravages evokers wardens all trying to murderize you before you achieve your goal you even get a deck of fully customized cards that produce various different kinds of effects allowing you to play the game in whichever way you

Like genuinely Tango has done something that I didn’t think was possible here and I want to show my appreciation and thank him for being such an amazing guy so to do that let’s run his dungeon and experience his creation for ourselves so behind me this is the leaderboard that

All of the Hermits placed in during the deck out run of hermitcraft season 9 and the winner here is e though a what a guy clearly not washed up at all and then second place Cub of course and in third place scar wow honestly I am proud of him I so proud of

Him anyway I’ve got this deck of cards right here in this Shuler box it’s a starter deck and I think we should start from the beginning I have like a goal when I’m playing this game I want to acquire every single artifact that it’s possible to obtain and I want to

Experience this game how it was all the way back it was at the beginning of deck out 2 back when the competition first started so we’re going to use this starter deck it’s got a Moment of clarity it’s got A Sneak card and it’s got a treasure hunter card all with

Various different effects so the treasure hunter card gives you plus four treasure sneak adds block two Clank and Moment of clarity blocks two Clank blocks two Hazard and adds four treasure and adds two brost Embers and I don’t really know how to explain what all of those things do so

What I’m going to do instead is I’m going to link Tango’s video in the description of how to play dect out 2 because honestly he’s probably done a much better job than I would ever do and in order to play well we’ve just got to take one of

Cleo’s leftover shards here these Frozen shards these are the keys to end the dungeon and all we’ve got to do is put one into this box here this barrel and then the entrance reveals itself in this door and this animation is just so cool I I can’t believe this is

Possible Oh on the ring too it’s so good so we’ve got to dump all of our stuff here we don’t have anything we’ve got to set our spawn oh it’s night time okay and then through here we can set our difficulty level and we’ve got easy we’ve got medium difficulty we’ve got

Hard difficulty we’ve got deadly difficulty and deep Frost difficulty and there’s four levels to the dungeon and this difficulty setting here is what determines which level you go to and uh well I have no idea what difficulty I’ve just set here but if I’m going to acquire every

Artifact then I should probably start une easy otherwise we’re going to miss those really low value artifacts so let’s press that one reset the whole thing and we’ve got our deck of cards we’ve just got to put it just there and then that locks in the difficulty then the mine cart should pop

Up here yeah there we go and we can start by pressing that button and Tango has created this wonderful entrance here oh this is so cool I really need to build like a my own roller coaster ride at some point it’s it’s such a great great idea to enter enter a

Place anyway we’ve got a map in our off hand which shows lots of useful information and I’ve also got a compass and I’m going to need to follow this compass and then throw it on top of the block and there’s also ravages around and I’m not entirely sure where they are at the

Moment just played My Moment of clarity card oh there’s a ravager there we’re just going to avoid him okay yeah we don’t want to die right off the bat no Siri right oh so as treasure drops into the dungeon it’s going to make a noise and what

We’ve just got here is a Decked Out coin I don’t think they’ll be too useful in single player because you usually use them to buy well the Hermits usually use them to buy extra Frost shards to get into the uh into the dungeon in the first place but

Given that I’m in the World download I’ve probably got infinite shards just at the entrance there thanks to Cleo and I’m not following this Compass at all am I where am I supposed to be going I think I’m supposed to be going in here there ravager here oh yes okay let’s

Just go past him okay oh there’s a coin just there thank you very much uh hello yeah let’s just uh ignore him can he see me oh no no no no no no no no no that is not where I want you to be uh well maybe that is the way to

Go where is this going I think it’s on the other side of the wall there you know or is it is it is it over here hang on oh I’ve gone over it I think it’s down here aha yeah this is the block right here I’ve got to throw my compass down

There and I’ve got the multi- grain what was that the Multi Grain waffle so that would be gan’s artifact just there all the artifacts are designed after the the Hermits often misspell never duplicated yep that’s probably about true so now that we’ve got our artifact

I just need to get out and I’m not entirely sure how I do that because I keep getting stuck on glass panes and there’s also berries dotted around the dungeon too that’s a very good source of food for the game got to make sure I keep my uh my Hunger

Up and I don’t want to stay in the dungeon too long either or bad things might start to happen and I’ve just triggered one of them that’s a shrier and that’s going to add Clank to the game what that does is when we reach Max Clank I think it’s like 20 Clank or

Something like that then the evokers are set loose and I will die to vexes or that’s the theory anyway but I think I’m going to take this first Victory right off the bat because hon ly what else am I supposed to do oh dear I I’ve done it i’ I’ve I’ve won the

Run oh oh that was quick I guess easy mode really is easy but if I want to get every single artifact in the game then uh there’s nothing really else for me to do I’ve got to I’ve got to get easy mode over and done with and then we

Can move on to the more interesting interesting levels but honestly that first level it’s so creative all those tunnels and whatnot so good and we’ve just gotten our Frost Embers we’ve been handed them out and now we’ve been brought into the store so we’ve got all these cards here

And you can buy Frost well you can buy the cards for frost Embers which is what the artifact gives you when you handed in so we’ve got some rare cards here which I cannot board because they’re too expensive and that’s largely down to be picking easy difficulty so we’re not

Going to be doing that too much just once I get rid of easy mode then we’ll be we’ll be fine there really we’ll be able to start getting some of the good ones so this one tread lightly can block four Clank which is pretty good and we’ve also got second wind here

Had 15 seconds of regeneration and run speed that’s pretty good and bounding strides as well and that’s a huge card right there like so many Hermits used this card to get around and it saved them in so many places I need that in my deck but unfortunately I can’t afford it just yet

Nope but what I can do is I can afford either a sneak card or a stability card or a Moment of clarity and I think we’re going to go for the oh my goodness the wardens are going absolutely crazy down there oh anyway I’m going to get the stability card because Hazard kills

Ladies and gentlemen Hazard kills so you put that in there Frost Embers the card goes down you can only buy one copy per run and then I guess we uh we put our coins in there we didn’t actually get a full Crown unfortunately we needed four

For that and then we’ve just got to go down here and I believe there might be a button somewhere yes can I can I survive this no okay clearly I couldn’t survive that time but whatever so we’ve just won our first run of deck out incredible and here’s our box we’ve got

Our our deck of cards back we’ve lost the Moment of clarity because that was a temporary card you can only use it one time and before it’s like consumed it’s a consumable it’s a consumable card uh but I’ve also got a stability to add to my deck

Now and there we go awesome brand new permanent card well permanent for now oh I can’t wait to build up the rest of my deck and see how else this goes I think we could have some real good fun down there some of you might be wondering how

I’ve got the map working as it’s actually out of render distance and the the map is actually just over here and what I’ve got is I think I’m I think this is the carpet mod that enables me to do this I was able to spawn in player with the command player Steve

Spawn oh player Steve is already logged on though here and although that is Alex but why that works for me here is I think I’ve got the the carpet mod and then I can just give them the map and then they load the area just here so I

Get all of that useful information while I’m in the dungeon itself it’s a great tip for anyone who’s downloaded the world and want to be able to look at the map while they play the D is ready for next victim I sir Tango all right the dungeon is ready let’s play once again

Then oh dear let’s try that again jeez of been playing this game for about 2 minutes and I’ve already broken [Laughter] it oh dear let’s get these things out of my ah why is it doing that what I don’t understand what’s going on I just wanted to use the Ender Chest just

Then why is it acting like it’s a uh A Chorus fruit I don’t get it oh dear I’ve got to be careful with the compass I’m just going to stop holding it I think that’s going to be the solution don’t know why it does that every time I right

Ourselves into survival we’ve got to wait for the dungeon to reset itself now because otherwise there are items like lying down on the ground and that would be cheating if I happen to collect those no we can’t do that we’ve got to do this legit just so confused as to why I’m

Teleporting with the compass I’ve never had that happen before is that a feature if you’re in like creative or something if you’ve got the creative option does the compass just teleport you around like what have I got that does that why is that enabled is that a me problem

Probably installed a bad mod somewhere or something is it is it carpet is carpet doing this I have no idea it seems very weird I don’t like that it’s happening anyway at least we’ve got pancakes to wait out the 5 Minute Timer delicious now I don’t think you

Have to use the starter deck I think you can actually basically customize and play how you want to go and go all the way to the bottom of the dungeon with uh just from here like all the cards are available all of the artifacts are available oh

There’s a waffle there should I take that no I I should accept my mistake okay the dungeon’s ready but the starter deck for you to use if you download the world yourself it’s just here and the map is just there too speaking of I still have the map I don’t need that

Awesome how many Embers did we get 11 Embers nice so we could go for an EMB Seeker card or a treasure hunter card if we wanted to this time still can’t afford any of these I think the minimum for one of the better cards is 16 and

We’re not going to get that from Easy what’s this 50 cards an extra card will be available for purchase in the frost Ember shop interesting interesting what have I got over here 15 seconds of regeneration and run speed bounding strides again what’s this quick step lock two Clank and add 15 seconds

Of run speed the next non ethereal card played is returned to your deck as in so does that mean if I play like a sneak card that exact sneak card comes back again I think that’s what it means because ethereal non- ethereal card is the normal kind of cards and

It’s the Ethereal cards that are one time use only so I don’t think it’s the those ones okay right what are we going to have I think we’re going to go for an ember Seeker card we need to start banking up our Embers so that we can start getting the

Better cards and we can stay in the dungeon for longer and not die as easily all right oh can’t miss the button there there we go that’s what I didn’t do this that’s what I didn’t do last time and we’ve saved that artifact awesome and we’ve actually got some

Double Ember Seeker you can only play a max amount of cards and they only they don’t play all at the same time either they play gradually as you progress through the dungeons so we do want this over that but to get that on easy difficulty we’re going to need some more of

Sorry which is an ethereal card so I can only play it once and then it’s consumed but well it’s the only thing I can get so I mean it’s a good card I mean I did need to add it to my collection so that’s that’s a good thing at least

That’s another Victory by the way I’m doing really well oh TOS okay so TOS I have no need of TOS honestly this was something for when the deck out 2 competition was running on the hermitcraft server and Etho has won that that’s what the the scoreboard is

Outside and I I can’t participate in that in the slightest so not really useful for me it’s a bit useless for me but if I was in that competition I would be trying to get these a lot but I can’t unfortunately what’s this Forge oh this is

The content that Tango didn’t manage to get around to it’s a shame that it’s always the future though always the future never let go of those ideas Tango never let go there’s a button there’s a button right okay okay okay no maybe next time maybe next time

Anyway we’ve got our Moment of clarity we’ve got our deck and we’ve got our hood of oh yeah lovely so now I can put the hood in there and I think I’m going to put the Moment of clarity in I mean what does this do again adds it blocks two Clank
