Hey guys jwisp here and welcome to episode three of the minecraft 1.17 hardcore survival let’s play here we are back in the world we’ve made lots of really awesome progress in the last episode we worked on getting some animals in some little farms we made this really awesome sort of birch mansion Starter house and we also did some mining where we found some pretty interesting things and unfortunately this villager decided to come all the way over from the village just to live in my house so i don’t know i’ll let i’ll let him live rent-free in my house for now But depending on how things go we might have to get rid of him but here we have the house i still haven’t decorated it on the inside i might do that soon i might just decide not to decorate it at all since eventually i do want to make A pretty big cave base also at the end of last episode i realized i lost my diamond but i went back to the village and i was able to find it the diamond really wasn’t lost uh it was just still in a chest and i also have some gold smelting so we can Make some more golden apples here i have lots of apples from the dungeon chest and i want to hold on to some golden apples to keep me protected but one of the things we found when we were mining in the last episode was a zombie spawner and so what i want To do in this episode is to make a zombie grinder for some xp and also i want to make an entity climbing farm for the cows to get tons of steak and tons of leather so we should be pretty much set after the cow farm we should have unlimited food And unlimited leather and after the zombie farm we’ll pretty much get unlimited xp it won’t give us tons of xp but it’ll give us enough xp to be able to enchant some pretty decent armor in order to eventually fight the dragon you know until we actually get enough armor and whatnot And enough xp to you know fight the dragon and make one of the enderman xp farms this is probably one of our best solutions i really don’t want to uh take too many risks in this hardcore world because i want it to at least last You know a while but i still want to take some risks because i feel like if i don’t take any risks at all in this world then it may be kind of boring also some of the people were asking what’s the seed for this world uh i do always leave The seed in the description whenever i play a survival world so if you guys want ado let’s get into today’s episode alright so first let’s make this really easy cow entity cramming farm all you’ll really need for this is a chest a hopper a water bucket a fence and then a few stairs and a few building blocks i also have some Wheat because we’re going to be moving our cows but if you have cow spawn eggs you can use that too now pretty much the way this farm works is once you cram a certain number of mobs in one area minecraft maxes out at about 25 so you pretty much Breed the cows in this one little block area and after there’s a certain amount of cows and you keep breeding them minecraft will automatically kill off the adult cows but leave the baby cows alive which means you get all the drops and you can also continue this farm going so i’ll Just make it back here dig down two blocks and dig down two more blocks in this little hole place your chest and then going into the chest place your hopper all right on top of this chest we’re gonna place our upside down stair i’m using a deep slate because i don’t Know i want to mess around with some of these new blocks and then around this little area we’re going to build up some blocks i think this cobbled deep slate looks really nice right on top of the hopper place your water and then on top of the water We’re going to be placing a fence but we’re not going to place the fence just yet because we need to get our cows in this little area first so i’ll try to get some cows in here now it might be hard with this many cows because i really only need One cow at a time to get in this farm but if you take your time you should be able to hopefully at least push a cow i only need two if i can get more than two cows in here that’ll be good but it might be kind of hard with all of These cows let’s see even if i could only get two of the babies okay we got one so far pretty much what the fence does is it just makes sure that you don’t get too many cows uh you know trying to jump out okay i think We have a baby cow in there okay we have more than two i’ll get as many cows as i can in here seems like the babies are just willingly dropping in which is actually pretty easy i’ll see if i can fit a few more adults in here because it just makes it easy Come on let’s hop in here come on okay maybe not here let me get rid of the wheat let’s let’s get these cows to go away from here for a sec so there we go we have this and then you can pretty much just place your fence uh right on top here Like that and you’re good to go all you do is you start breeding the cows i just recently bred them before the video looks like we have some babies but they’ll eventually grow up and we can keep breeding them and again you also probably want to uh Dig out a small area to expose your chest where is it i forgot what direction i put my chest in is it over here ah there it is okay there’s the chest the reason we used the upside down stair was so that we can still access the Actual chest i’ll use the dirt to kind of fill in this area because i kind of messed it up but there we go that’s a really simple farm so just keep breeding the cows and eventually once you get 25 uh minecraft will kill start killing off the adults But will keep the baby cows this will allow you to get the drops from the adult cows and continue breeding them so you will need a lot of wheat for this farm to work but you should pretty easily be able to make a wheat farm and this will get you tons of leather Tons of steak and it’s also really easy because this barely requires any materials the most expensive thing in here was the hopper and that only really requires a chest and a little bit of iron so i’ll get rid of the rest of the cows here that will pretty much be our cow farm You can also do this entity cramming farm with pretty much any mob you want you could put sheep in here instead you could put cows uh i haven’t really tested this out with chickens if you’re gonna make a chicken farm i would just opt for an automatic cooked chicken farm since those are Pretty easy and pretty fun to make i usually make them in my survival worlds but this cow farm is really simple and i usually make it right off the bat in my survival worlds because once you get those 25 cows you can start getting tons of leather And tons of steak super easily but now that we’ve done that i want to work on another farm this time i want to work on the zombie xp farm this is also going to be a pretty easy farm to make we won’t need a lot of materials Uh it should be pretty easy to make and it should get us tons of xp all right so here we go we’re at the zombie spawner i have this whole area lit up super well because i do not want any zombies spawning especially since i’m in hardcore and i want to be super Careful in case you’re using the same world uh here’s the coordinates of the zombie spawner it’s at zero negative 24 uh 383 yeah i know the new y levels are weird it’s weird seeing negative y levels since it goes down to negative y 64. uh but what we’re going to do here Is i’m actually going to show you guys the dimension of the room we need to dig out so on either side of the spawner we’re gonna go one two three four blocks and we’re gonna do that on each side one two three four blocks i love this new uh New deep slay i think deep slate looks awesome one two three four blocks i’ll just use dirt to sort of you know mark out the area one two three and then here is the fourth block so i have it on the fourth block here just so i know one two three four There we go same thing above the spawner one two three and then we’re gonna need to go four blocks it’s gonna be the same thing underneath too you’re gonna wanna dig down uh underneath actually only three blocks for this one so it’s gonna be four four four four four and then three Blocks below the spawner you’re gonna have this giant cube to work with and it’s gonna be actually a pretty simple form to make you really don’t need that much stuff i have some water you’ll need a slab um some torches you don’t even need a chest with a Hopper i just have it because it makes things more easy but you really don’t need it most of you probably won’t even want to collect rotten flesh so it’s definitely not a necessity but i’m gonna mine out this little room really fast and just in case anything was confusing i’ll go over It again once i’m done all right so quick update with what’s going on my first pick eggs broke i didn’t really anticipate for that so luckily there was a vein of iron and some coal uh i dug out a bit over there there was also some other stuff but i didn’t Bother grabbing any redstone or anything right now but i’ve been digging this floor out and uh i noticed i didn’t even see when i first dug this out that there’s some diamonds here some of the new uh you know diamonds within the actual blackstone but let’s see let’s see how Many we get i really don’t know how about how big this vein is it might be really small it might be really big hopefully it’s big i don’t know let’s see uh okay we have five so far is that it hey even if we only get five that’s good Because then we’ll have six diamonds total which is enough to make a diamond pickaxe plus we can make an enchantment table so that’s pretty good i’m actually cool with that let’s let’s fill in the rest of this little area really fast we should be good i’m almost done taking out this room It’s just taking a bit with this iron pickaxe so i’ll be back with you guys once i have finished all right so i have the area dug out i also have the dirt placed so i can show you guys the dimensions and i have my infinite water source Ready to go we got to be careful some zombies are zombies are starting to spawn let’s see if we can try to light up this area a bit better let’s grab some of our torches really fast come on zombie get out of here oh i don’t want to get hurt Okay there we go i’ll try to light this up a bit but uh there we go you can see that under the spawner we have three blocks above we have four and on each side we also have four total i only have three dirt blocks placed because i want to keep the Torches on the spawner to try to prevent zombies from spawning but what we’re gonna do is just pretty much choose any side of this room and start to fill up this entire thing with water so that we can push all the zombies that spawn to one side of the Room let’s go over here grab some more water too and is this enough okay i need a bit more water i’ll break all this cobblestone once we’re done i’m just gonna place it to keep coming back up and down really fast let’s also we can break this dirt it’s It’s you know you don’t need to place that dirt there i just did that to sort of sort of show you guys the dimensions of the room okay but there we go we got the water all coming down so let’s do this really fast let’s get this all out of here i’ll grab Some water really fast just so i have a little bit more we can break this cobblestone and we’re pretty much almost done with this farm there’s there’s a few different things we can do here i’m gonna dig out this little side right here and what you can Do is you can make a little tunnel to push all the zombies into one small little area where you will kill them now you have a few different options you can do here if you want you can make this tunnel go to a place where the zombies Die pretty much instantly after one hit or you can just make them go to a place where you can kill them yourself and they don’t really die i’ll show you what i mean in a sec uh let’s just dig down this tunnel a little bit more Oh i forgot that some of the blocks here were silver fish let’s be careful let’s let all the silver fish spawn so we can kill it uh-oh that’s a lot of silver fish this will not be the end of me let’s get up here really fast Oh my gosh that’s a lot of silver fish can i hear them from down here okay let’s let’s break this block to try to kill him okay if one swims up at a time that’s okay i can’t i can handle them one at a time i just Couldn’t handle all of them i didn’t want to be overwhelmed let’s see oh they’re all getting pushed down here okay that’s fine i can kill him in this little block come on oh there we go hey free xp i’m fine with that okay is that all of them i think that’s All oh nope there’s one more come on come on silver fish is really making things inconvenient for me but there we go okay now we have this area filled up let’s fill in this little tunnel and what you’re going to do is pretty much choose one side i guess i’ll do it uh Over here and use the water to push the zombies to this one singular block now if you want what you could do is make a room right over here uh you know a small little place you can hide and you could place a slab or even just place a block And make an area where you could kill the zombies but what i’m actually going to do is right here on this block i’m going to dig down about 20 to 22 blocks you know really whatever you want just a certain amount of blocks um so that the zombies will actually fall down there Now i’m gonna be very careful about this i’m gonna get my farm ready and prepared really fast before i do this and then once i’m done i’ll show you guys the final product all right so here we go we are pretty much done so this is what i meant Down that hole i dug down about 22 blocks uh it doesn’t have to be perfectly exact you know you should be fine and i made a small little room which i’ll showcase in a sec but i also forgot to mention that on top of your spawner you want to place a slab Pretty much all that little slab does is it makes it so that uh zombies will not spawn on top of the actual spawner this exact farm design also works for skeletons so if you had a uh if you had a skeleton instead that’s perfectly okay but we should be able to Test this out some of the zombies i want to try to avoid them i’m going to place some water here really fast just so i can swim up but i’ll leave the zombies down there to go let’s keep shifting down here where’s the zombie i can’t even see Okay he’s swimming over there but once this water goes all the way down he should get pushed yep there we go down that one block hole and he should be left with about yep he’s still alive he shouldn’t die i think he’s alive i don’t know let’s see he should be left With about half a heart of health so that we can kill him but i actually made myself a little tunnel all the way down to this little room it took me a while to dig out so i had to make another iron pickaxe but uh it wasn’t too bad because i had To sort of weave my way around some of the water because there actually is an underground water cave system here oh he’s getting out did the zombie escape maybe i need to make a little room for him too oh oh it looks like a lot of zombies Escaped i think i need to block them in a bit better let me see oh yeah i didn’t even finish this room let’s do that really fast i need to do this there we go now the zombies won’t be able to get out i didn’t realize I messed that up but we can light up this area just to make sure things don’t spawn i have the crafting table here uh and if you wanted to i have the chest and the hopper i could realistically place the uh the hopper right there And then the chest i might do that just so i can collect the drops i don’t know maybe i’ll get a dog or something in the future and i’ll want these drops but it doesn’t really matter to me that much it’s not a huge deal and then just to keep it A little bit safe i’ll do this i’ll make some slabs just so the uh the zombies really have no chance and there we go that’s pretty much this and are you kidding me more silverfish but that’s pretty much this entire farm completed i’m going to eat some bread I want to regen i want to play it safe let’s see okay i think we should be good but yeah zombies should start coming down here all i really need to do is go back up to the farm over there and we should pretty much Be all set i might dig out this room maybe i’ll leave this slab off just so i can sort of see actually yeah i can probably just stand right here but once we go back up to the farm we can afk for a bit and zombies will start falling down There and then we can just come down there and kill him they should be a one shot pretty easy uh the zombies were just escaping because i didn’t build that little thing to prevent them from escaping but we should be pretty much all set now let’s see really fast let’s Get more zombies to spawn go down there if they’re not a one-hit kill i can always make this farm uh i can always dig that hole a little bit deeper and make sure that they are a one-hit kill but let’s get more zombies to spawn really fast Just so i can test this out we should be all set though and again this does work with skeletons so this is a pretty awesome farm okay there we go we got four zombies this time one with a shovel okay so they should be trapped and now that we built that little contraption You can really do that little room however you want a lot of people often add even their enchantment table in that room when they make xp forms like that that’s probably what i’ll do uh also i would make sure you make a path down here from the overworld just to make things A little bit easier on yourself but let’s see we have the zombies down here and boom yup they’re one hit kills and there we go we can get tons of xp however i would afk up near the spawner it makes things a bit more easier and Doing that you should be able to get tons and tons of xp okay we’re back at the house it’s a new day i think that was all pretty successful i’m hoping that that farm tutorial wasn’t too hard to uh to uh you know sort of comprehend i was Trying my best to do it and also trying to stay safe just because i’m in hardcore but if that was too difficult i will also link a previous form tutorial i’ve done down below but we have the diamonds now what i actually want to do is uh let’s make It’s pretty much just wood with one diamond in the middle right a jukebox yep there we go and then we have music disc 13 and we also have cat we have to play cat because cat is just an absolute bop there we go while that’s playing there’s a few Things i want to do so we already have a little bit of leather uh actually a pretty decent amount however i don’t think do we have any sugar cane because i want to make some books i don’t think we have any sugarcane let’s see not seeing any sugar cane we do have a Hoe so i’ll use that i’ll use the iron pickaxe for now um let me look around here we have some seeds we have some bone which might come in handy with some bone meal okay beautiful love cat we can play 13 for a bit not as much of a bop Uh and then we have two diamonds for the enchantment table but what i also want to do is create a little bit of a wheat field uh just to get some wheat so i can start breeding these boys a bit better breeding all the cows and stuff so i can Get this cow farm working because i would like to hopefully make an enchantment table in the next episode what i’ll probably do is um off camera just like while this video is rendering and uploading i’ll probably spend some time and uh afk at the zombie farm get a lot of zombies Kill them get lots of xp and then hopefully in the next episode i’ll have enough sugar cane and leather from breeding the cows to uh to get ourselves an enchantment table even if we can’t get it to level 30 that’s okay getting it to level 30 isn’t the goal as Long as i have an enchantment table uh that should be good enough because even you know diamond armor with level one enchantments is pretty good so we’ll probably try to do a little bit of a mining trip get some diamonds even if i can’t get a full set of diamond armor That’s good even if i can only get a couple diamonds i’ll be okay with that even enchanted iron armor isn’t that bad because i want to also prepare to head to the nether we have a ruined nether portal pretty close to our spawn and so we should be able to make another portal Pretty easily now that we have a diamond pickaxe we could actually do it however i don’t want to head to the nether unless i have you know some pretty good gear we have you know some pretty decent stuff we already have some of the golden armor However uh for the nether i like to use golden boots since boots are sort of the you know least important armor so i’ll usually use golden boots i’ll try to get a couple pieces of diamond armor going and then probably some iron armor we can enchant it and we should be pretty Set to go to the nether we should be pretty safe as long as i play my cards right we should be good hopefully we can find a bastion hopefully we can find something else i’m looking around here though for sugar cane i’m not is that sugar no that’s not Sugar cane i’m trying to find some sugar cane i can’t really seem to find any i’m sure if i keep looking around there should be some oh is this an underwater cave ooh okay this is nice yeah i think that was pretty good we have two you know working farms now Both of them will give us lots of good stuff the rotten flesh might actually be useful maybe i’ll try to uh use my bones to find a dog i don’t know i haven’t seen any around here but if i see one i’ll try to tame one i Think that would be really cool if we could get a pet dog get some naming going we have a trapped iron golem here with some villagers but let’s head back to the house and i think we should be all set oh wait did i see sugar cane No i keep seeing grass thinking i see sugarcane dang it i kid you not two seconds after i stopped last recording i walked like one more block and there was one piece of sugarcane we’re lucky okay there we go we got the sugarcane and then there’s the ruined nether portal What i’ll do is let’s uh plant the sugarcane around the pond in front of our house and then i’ll just keep harvesting it keep replanting it and it should be pretty easy i could even make a uh one block tall automatic sugarcane farm if i wanted to Which could be uh you know pretty easy but there we go we got the sugarcane we’re all set and once we keep breeding the cows we should pretty much be good to go what i’ll probably do is choose one of these small little platforms around here and Make a small little wheat farm you know just a quick little circle with some water and some wheat seeds and we should be all set and then we should have enough wheat to breed the cows and get
