Introduction to Fishing! ▫ The Minecraft Survival Guide (1.13 Tutorial Lets Play) [Part 15]

Hello everyone my name is pixel Ritz and welcome back to the Minecraft Survival Guide I hope you guys are having a wonderful day and today we’re gonna do something a little different here in Minecraft an aspect of the game we have not previously explored in other videos

I’ve just been trimming down some of the crops I’ve been trimming the sugarcane I’ve been gathering some wheat and we’ve started to put some hay bales up there in the barn but I’m a little bit tired of doing work around the homestead here and I feel like a bit of a holiday so

Today we’re going to go on a fishing trip so we’re gonna go in here and make ourselves a fishing rod and fishing is an aspect of minecraft that does not really get enough love I feel like so let’s let’s open up one of the chests

Here where is the one that has all of the mob drops in there we go fantastic ok so I’ll grab a couple of string from here and we need three sticks which is not much I don’t have any pre-made sticks in here so I will probably just

Make a quick bit of oak planks there and a couple of sticks we only need three sticks for the fishing rod recipe so we can keep the rest of that tidy in our inventory like so I say tidy my inventory’s a complete mess right now but there’s a reason for that we’ll get

Into it later so if I pop three sticks in a diagonal in the 3×3 crafting interface like so dangle two string off the end you get yourself a fishing rod the the best thing about this recipe is it looks exactly like the item that you get on the other side so you never

Really have any doubt about the recipe of course it’s available for you in the recipe book when you’ve got all of the items in your inventory as well so a fishing rod is as the name suggests useful for fishing and you can fish basically anywhere you have a single

Water source block in Minecraft but fishing within a single block like for example if I were to fish in the little 2×2 area over here in our in our sugarcane farm I would functionally be able to get fish but it doesn’t act all that great a lot

Of the time like sometimes the bobble will kind of overshoot and sometimes you will you’ll end up kind of getting snagged on things you won’t be able to see when the fish are about to bite so it’s usually best to fish in a wide open area like this however since we have a

Nether hub now and since we have a connection to a swamp where there are vast wide-open surfaces of water just like this I think it’s probably time to go on a quick through the nether and I can show you what I’ve been doing in the nether hub

Since you guys last saw us so the nether hub is coming together right now it is not officially complete of course because the roof is not enclosed it might still be possible for gusts to fire ball us but I’ve started working a little bit on the decorations we’ve got

A nice sort of safety rail along the sides to make sure that if I walk too close to the walls I don’t fall out at any point we’ve got some stairs leading down here with some nice kind of patterns of stairs inset from each other so it looks nice and decorative we’ve

Got andesite in the walls here as well as the floor and I’ve started putting in these nether brick fences and these work just the same way as wooden fences do except they are made of nether brick from nether fortresses and in fact I got most of these from clearing out the area

Around the two blaze spawner that we have in our really closeby fortress I haven’t finished this off yet because we don’t have enough nether brick fences and I didn’t want to make any more right away but it provides a nice safe path through the nether now a thing about

This nether hub is that the floor here is made of solid blocks so it is possible for mobs to spawn in here however the majority of the nether the only thing that will potentially spawn is zombie pigmen and as we’ve covered in previous episodes zombie pigmen are not

Hostile unless you choose to attack them so if any zombie Pigman spawn in here you don’t need to panic too much as long as you don’t like accidentally give them a tap as you’re walking around the nether hub they probably won’t harm you one other thing to bear in mind

Especially if you’re building a nether hub that is this wide is that ghasts need a 5×5 space in which to spawn this also includes roof height as well I think they need a five vertical space to spawn as well so as long as there is not

An open 5 by 5 by 5 cube anywhere in your nether hub it will probably not spawn a ghast I say probably because minecraft is unpredictable at times and sometimes the spawning rules for these things change but you’ll notice right here there is potential for a five by five by five

Area if we have the floor open like this so there’s five blocks that way there’s five blocks that way however if I choose to put a block here it’s only four blocks that way and four blocks that way four blocks diagonally the most open space we have here is a

4×4 where hopefully ghasts should not spawn but that is something that’s worth bearing in mind when you create a nether hub is that if you have a large open space of solid blocks like this mobs can potentially spawn one way around this I don’t have a crafting table on me right

Now so I can’t exactly demonstrate but one of the ways around this is to make the floor of the nether out of non solid blocks and that can also include stairs and slabs if slabs are placed on the bottom half of a block the top half of a block it

Will still technically count as a spawning space especially if there are blocks below it to kind of give it support but on the bottom half of a block if you place a slab sort of adjacent to the line of this stair here or the bottom half of this block here

That will not be a sport ball space for any kind of mob so even zombie pigmen would not be able to spawn on that block and if you create the entire pathway through your nether hub out of those blocks then it is unlikely you’ll get anything spawning however this can be

Slightly inconvenient to us as a player because you can’t place torches on half slabs for example so we wouldn’t be able to effectively light up the area if you wanted to place torches on the floor of course you can get around that by placing some torches around on the walls

And so forth but there are their advantages and disadvantages to both if you want to completely avoid mob spawns then it might be worth building it out of slabs but I built this out of full blocks because I’m not afraid who are right now and I’m fairly certain that

The space we have in here will not be able to support any gusts right with that explanation out of the way let’s make our way through to our lovely swamp biome where hopefully it should still be daylight hopefully I haven’t been talking for too long and there we go

Fantastic so there is still there’s still some sunlight left in the day the Sun is above us like so and we can start fishing now we’re not fishing for dolphins don’t worry the dolphin out there is safe in fact there are practical fish which exist in

The world there are fish like the ones swimming around out there which it is possible to fish up out of the water directly using a water bucket now if you brought a water bucket with you you will need to fill it up with water before you attempt to pluck a fish directly from

The ocean but if we swim out to these guys over here I’m going to duck below the water and use the control button to swim just so we move a little bit faster if I wander up to these Cod witches swimming in a little school here and if

I right-click on one of them with a bucket there we go we get the tactical fishing advancement meaning that we’ve been able to pick up a fish in a bucket and hopes a better resurface before I run out of air there we go now the advantage of catching fish like this is

That they are dead easy to catch like so and you can take them home and use them in fish tanks you can put them in an aquarium replace them in any body of water and they will stick around permanently they will not de-spawn like some other mobs do when you get out of

The spawn herbal range of mobs these ones will stick around and they can be your permanent pets that one’s even going over there and hiding in the seagrass like every fish I’ve ever owned who always hides on me so that is a a possibility for fishing one other

Possibility for fishing is if you want to if you want to swim around the ocean and swipe at them with a sword it is entirely possible to kill fish this way so the rest of this school unfortunately is gonna have to get it there we go

And if we give them a quick tap with a sword fish as you might expect don’t have much health so it’s nice and easy to kill them regardless of what kind of sword you’ve got if even if you’ve got a wooden sword they probably take a pretty

Swift chop to the face and that’ll be it but in this case we’ve got a sharpness diamond sword so I think we are we are nice and easily going to kill any fish that we want to kill that way however this is not necessarily the most effective way of fishing or it’s quite

Effective but it relies on you being able to swim around and find the fish in the first place and it only gets you fish items what we’re going to explore today is the mechanic of fishing using a fishing rod in Minecraft which can actually get you more items than just

Fish now just to make sure we can fish uninterrupted here I’ve actually gone back to the farmhouse slept for the night so the Sun was coming up now and I brought a new bed with me that way if it gets dark around here we can always

Sleep if we’re in the middle of fishing we don’t want to stop we can always sleep for the night and that way we don’t have to worry about any hostile mobs because swamps can be a bit of a dangerous place especially considering we haven’t built any kind of shelter

Over here yet that might happen a little bit later on though so to start fishing all you need to do is hold the rod in your main hand look out over the water and right click that will cast the bobber out like so and the bobber will

Bob up and down in the water for a little while and you’ll see a few water part calls around here the ones you want to look for will appear in a kind of trail heading towards your bobber like so and then all you need to do is right-click

When you see the bobber dip below the water and you hear a bit of a splosh sound effect and it you end up fishing up in this case overall salmon so I’m gonna make a chest while I’m over here to store everything that we fish up today because there is a good chance

That we will get some exciting stuff that isn’t actually a fish at all let’s pop the crafting table down in here let’s make a few more oak planks let’s convert those into a chest like so and then we’ll put all of our fishing earnings in here like that let’s pop the

Raw Cod in there and they’re all salmon we got those from our little little tactical fishing with the sword earlier and yeah the rest of this stuff I might actually make a little dock while I’m here a kind of little fishing pontoon sort of thing because it’s gonna be nice

To have something like that so we can fish in the nice blue water over here compared to the murky water of the swamp over here there is really no difference though if you end up fishing in a swamp like this you won’t get any different fish too if you’re fishing in a deep

Ocean or a warm ocean or anything like that as far as I know anyway the fishing mechanics have remained unchanged by the fact that water in Minecraft looks a little bit different to the way it used to these new water colors for the different areas and so

Forth are actually a fairly new addition so let’s make a little pontoon out here I’m just gonna make this a fairly straightforward one in fact I think a pontoon is actually a floating section of of like walkway like this so maybe this is a appear or a jetty or something

Like that I don’t know let me know in the comments if you know the the specifics of that kind of thing but all we need to do is make some oak planks maybe we’ll convert these into slabs for a slightly more kind of realistic effect let’s bring those out

Here and pop these down just while these are here as supports like so and you can actually place the slabs dead level with the water in fact the water is ever so slightly lower so it will look like we are right here on the very edge of the

Water front and ready to start our little fishing trip like so there we go that’s looking quite nice maybe we will cover that one up and build the rest of these around here you know what we don’t need this one in the middle I’m not quite sure why I placed that one let’s

Get rid of that and let’s fill the rest of those in maybe we’ll put some stoppers on the sides here so marvelous okay this is the start of our little fishing trip now all we need to do is cast the rod back out here and

Let’s see what else we get I’ll do a little bit of fishing for a while and see what we can grab the Dolphins around here should not be a threat to our fishing hopefully not at least but it is actually possible to fish items and other entities towards you so for

Example if I were to try and hook this squid down here it is actually possible to drag entities towards you if they get hooked on your fishing rod but that happens quite rarely and has to happen quite deliberately in your case and I don’t think it’s gonna be really

Possible to hook the squid if we’re standing on the surface of the water here because the bobber will always float to the surface so there’s a pretty bad example I’ll see if there’s anything else I can hook in the nearby vicinity to show you but look the oh the water

Particles yep almost got us there there we go if it’s it’s sometimes a little bit difficult to see water particles coming from one side or the other because the direction they come from is random and so sometimes they will appear kind of in the middle of blocks and you

Won’t actually see them until your bobber dips under the water and you get the sound effect but luckily there are all sorts of cues to allow you to reel the line in as soon as you want to that time we caught a puffer fish and you’ll find live pufferfish

In warm oceans around the world where you’ll also find tropical fish and coral reefs but you can fish them up pretty much anywhere and puffer fish are used to make potions of water breathing being able to breathe underwater is a really useful mechanic in Minecraft especially when it comes to things like the

Shipwrecks that we’ve already found drowned ruins and ocean temples so those are definitely going to be important in future the particles are flying up around the place let’s see if we get another fish relatively soon there we go fantastic we’ve got another card okay we’ve got a few different fish now we’ve

Got salmon we’ve got some Cod we’ve got some puffer fish I’m gonna try and you know try and fish until I get myself something special here because it is possible to fish up both junk and treasure there is a fairly slim chance of getting extra items from this things

Like leather boots lily pads sometimes even enchanted books sometimes just sticks and occasionally enchanted fishing rods and bows can be fished up from this little or kind of it is sort of a minigame in Minecraft I suppose it’s just a a one little way to pass the time now on

The occasion that you aren’t getting lucky with this stuff and that you want to either get more fish faster or if you want to get treasure there are enchantments you can apply on a fishing rod which if we don’t get anything precious from this soon it may

Be worth going back to the farmhouse and enchanting this fishing rod there we go we just got a saddle from that that’s another one of the treasure items you can get from fishing is a saddle like leather items and stuff like that are actually fairly common that time we just

Got a stick so it is entirely possible to fish up relatively useless items although nothing in Minecraft is truly useless except for maybe poisonous potatoes and it looks like we just got the last actual fish we can catch which is a tropical fish they’re usually the

Rarest of them all and you can’t cook and eat these which you can do with salmon and Cod you can also eat puffer fish but I don’t recommend it because it gives you a very strong poison effect for a little while and poison in Minecraft won’t actually straight-up

Kill you but it does take you down to half a hut of health where any other mob can easily finish you off or even just walking into a cactus or something silly like that could very easily kill you so tropical fish cannot be cooked they can be eaten raw

It doesn’t restore a great deal of hunger but they can also be fed to cats if you want to tame them and feed cats so it’s worth keeping tropical fish around one thing to note about these is that even though we have live fish swimming around in Minecraft you cannot

Put these fish back in the ocean once they are quarts they are effectively dead you also can’t combine them with a bucket to turn it into a bucket of cod and then release it into a fish tank it’s not how that works if you’ve fished

It up or if you’ve swiped at it with a sword to kill it in the ocean those fish are dead so I now used up more than half of the durability on my fishing rod and part of that was due to the fact that if you right-click and it catches the

Bobber on a block and then you retract it that will take up even more durability than usual that’s like using a an ax to break a block of dirt or something like that it will take up more than the average amount of durability so if you’re hooking anything other than a

Fish with it it will take to durability damage instead of one now I want this fishing rod to last as long as possible really like in theory you can have 64 court things you can catch 64 fish if you’re doing it accurately before you end up breaking the fishing

Rod but I would like it to last a little bit longer than that so I’m going to head back to my farmhouse get ahead to the enchanting table and we’ll see what we can do about putting some enchantments on our fishing rod it’s also worth noting that you get a little

Bit of experience from fishing so even if you spend your experience on Enchantment here in the enchantment table you will probably get a little bit of that experience back from fishing now I’m not going to waste an enchant on a half-broken rod especially when they’re

So easy to make I’m going to make myself another one so let’s take two string let’s do the same thing we did before make ourselves some more sticks make another fishing rod quickly using the recipe book and come back over here to enchant once we’ve got a little bit of

Lapis in here as well let’s pop that in there let’s see what we get because I’m breaking three will naturally make it last like the other tools about three times longest so we’re going to be able to fish for a good long while and we just get on breaking three of course we

Do and standard pixel rifts luck at this stage however let’s put the other fishing rod back in the enchantment table to see if we get anything else nope looks like it’s just unbreaking for the moment well that’s that’s not exactly going to illustrate my point particularly well as things in this

Series tend not to but you can get to other enchantments on a fishing rod in an enchantment table which will be incredibly useful to your fishing expeditions the first of which is called lore and law allows you to reel in more fish more frequently but it also reduces

The chance of you getting some treasure the idea is that the enchantment lures more fish onto your hook so they bite faster and naturally treasure isn’t going to be affected by the same type of thing however there is a flip side to that there is a second

Enchantment called the luff of the sea which every level it increases increases your chances of getting treasure but decreases how fast the fish will bite so ultimately you want a good balance of the two you want the best lure enchantment so that you can fish stuff

Up faster but you also want the best luck of the sea enchantment so you have the higher chances of catching treasure now right now it looks like the enchantment table isn’t going to give us either of those things so let’s see if we can enchant something else while

We’re here I do still have these two pieces of diamond armor which weren’t getting particularly promising looking enchantments before looks like the chest plate has unbreaking 3 and the helmet has fire protection 3 so I’m not guaranteed to get protection on either of those the fire protection is not

Something I necessarily want on my helmet so I’m going to leave those for the moment maybe we’ll try an enchanted book just in case that gives us something good oh ok that’s gonna give us protection 3 that sounds like a good idea let me go and farm a few more

Blazes I’ve been using them as fuel as well in here I’ve been using the blazes to cook up some smooth stone to make the the nether hub have been using blaze rods for that so it might be worth going over to the blaze spawner with a potion

Of fire resistance and then fighting a few more blazes while I’m here it might also be worth demonstrating the fishing rod mechanic that allows you to hook a mob and then pull it towards you like so you could see that very briefly there where I hooked that blaze and was able

To pull it slightly towards me obviously in the case of hostile mobs that’s not always the best idea but it can sometimes help you get out of sticky situations and I’ve seen players use them to fantastic effect in player-versus-player battles where they’ll they’ll hook a another player

Off a bridge and they’ll fall into water or lava or just into the void if you’re playing something like Skyblock alright that went well we’re now back at the farmhouse I have a few more blaze rods to add to my collection and that we can take a look at what enchantments we get

After we’ve enchanted one of these books so let’s grab that let’s get the protection three enchantment on this book and then let’s see what we get on a fishing rod now there we go lure two is now coming up in the table and we’re putting this on the old fishing rod but

You know what I think we may as well in chant this one anyway because we could always combine this with the rod that has unbreaking 3 there we go just lure 2 again why does minecraft keep doing this to me no worries let’s take a look at what

We’ve got on some of these books Oh feather falling for could be a very useful enchantment to have in the table let’s take a look at what we’ve got on the helmet and the chest plate as well while we’re here okay now we’re getting thorns to on the chest plate and

Protection three on the helmet so if we got that we could always combine that with our protection three book here to get protection for but feather falling would be a very useful book to have because combining that with our boots could mean that we could prevent a huge

Amount of full damage if we end up taking full damage from falling off high ledges Mountain areas of the nether anything that gets thrown our way as we explore the world that would be very useful to have so I’m thinking maybe we will keep that in reserve for using that later now where

Did I put my fishing rod because I definitely had the unbreaking fishing rods did I maybe put it in this farmhouse chest I did right okay so let’s go back in here I’ve got 28 levels now so I can’t do another level 30 enchantment I think what I will do is

Combine these in and anvil so we’re gonna put unbreaking in there first and then lure and then compare the cost that’s eight versus eight okay so either way round we put this it’s going to be nice and straightforward let’s grab that so now we have a rod with unbreaking 3

And lure 2 we might as well also just check the the enchantment table with one more fishing rod seeing as they’re fairly cheap just to see if there’s any other enchantments to pop up if we get luck of the sea on there then that’ll might also be a worthwhile enchantment

However let’s take a look there we go another unbreaking rod fair enough so we’re not guaranteed to get luck of the sea on that one I think we will leave that one in reserve for the moment we can always combine it with this fishing rod if we need to repair this fishing

Rod in future and now we’re back out here at our little fishing jetty and I can explain a little bit more accurately what law does so when you cast out an unenchanted rod or maybe a rod that’s just got unbreaking 3 then we got a bone

That time not the best thing to have but useful I suppose we can turn that into bone meal later when you cast out a rod that doesn’t have a lure enchantment on it it will take between 5 and 45 seconds this is information from the Minecraft

Wiki by the way I’m not just kind of pulling these figures out of nowhere it will take between 5 and 45 seconds for a fish to bite each level you have of law decreases that by 5 seconds so lure one you can expect to be waiting

Five seconds less lure two you can be waiting 10 seconds less and lower three will decrease the 10 the catch time by up to 15 seconds meaning if you were going to get a 5 second catch time the fish will arrive pretty much instantly if you are going to get a 30 second

Catch time you’re only going to be waiting 15 seconds so it actually really really helps your efficiency I guess your time efficiency oh we got some leather there there we go let’s put that in here as well and as a zombie pigman has wandered in from the nether welcome along friend I

Think I heard you grunting in the background and no worries as long as we again as long as we don’t hit him he’s not gonna be a threat although if we take care of this guy now then none of the other Pigman in the nether are going

To be angry so don’t you stand around near my bed sir get away oh we got a gold ingot from him fantastic rare drop wonderful Oh backup has arrived all right well he’s not angry with me because he only just spawned in so I don’t know maybe we should not fight too

Many Pigman and as I mentioned earlier we will need luck of the see on this rods to get a better chance of catching treasure but even having lore on it means that we’re catching stuff more and more frequently which means that treasure might come up a little bit

Sooner than if we didn’t have enchantments on our rod at all there we go it another pufferfish fantastic stuff and also unbreaking 3 means that the durability of this thing will effectively last for quite a lot longer so we can be fishing here for a good long while now hopefully not too many

Interruptions and maybe we’ll get hold of some treasure there we go we got some treasure that is a name tag and name tags are something that we might already have encountered thanks to a dungeon visit earlier in this series I can’t remember if I found it in this series or

Not actually come to think of it but that is one of the fantastic things you can get from fishing nametags will allow you to add a name tag to a mob in the world so you can actually if we wanted to we could name that zombie pigman

Wherever he was but that does require you to rename the name tag in an anvil before applying it to someone no looks like he’s just enjoying the ocean view as well fair enough I think we’ll leave him alone hello hello we have a friend over here lurking in the kelp forest he

Spotted me now a drowned has come out to play and we briefly spotted those in the the episode where I was looking for buried treasure but I didn’t get a chance to tangle with them properly so the Drowned are a variant of zombies which have been added for this most

Recent update to Minecraft and they will actually come at you in the oceans they will spawn down there in the ocean depths and they will only really pass fine to you when it is dark or when you are standing in water so as you can see when I step out of the

Water because I sort of knows I’m there but he doesn’t really know what to do about me meanwhile if I step into water their arms raise and they come after you so this makes them quite easy to deal with during the day of course at night

Time a lot of hostile mobs are going to be around and attacking you anyway and the Drowned are no exception they will hop onto land and come after you as long as they they are able to track you but the the cool thing about the Drowned is

That if you get them onto land during the day they will actually start to take fire damage much like other undead mobs do in the mean time then not too much of a threat except for occasionally one which will spawn holding a trident and that’s what happened to us in the other

Episode which is why I didn’t really stop and admire the Drowned for any longer because the thing about the Trident ones is that Trident do a lot of damage to you as a player especially when thrown by a drought so you need to take evasive action as quickly as

Possible and there is a chance that the Drowned will drop the trident if you attack it but it’s a fairly slim chance so if you’re early on in the game tempting though it may be to try and get hold of a trident they might be best avoided until you’re a little bit more

Confident with combat Oh exciting times we fished up an enchanted fishing rod there it is we’ve got unbreaking three on that one so if we didn’t get unbreaking 3 as an enchantment on the previous one over at the enchanting table we could combine this fishing rod with it and get ourselves basically a

Free unbreaking 3 enchantment so that’s a fantastic use of fishing and that’s unfortunately not the enchantment I was looking for because I already have an unbreaking 3 on this one but it’s good to know that we’ve got this rod here as a backup and with the durability on our

Rod halfway worn down even with unbreaking so that’s a lot of fishing I’ve just done I decided to spruce this area up a little bit so I built myself a tiny kind of lean-to I guess just a little a little shack kind of thing here we could even make this look a little

Bit more rundown we could maybe displace some of these slabs and that kind of thing like right now it maybe looks a little bit too neat but I’ve come with a a variety of spruce and oak wood just to to make it look like maybe some of the

Waters soaked into the wood this is something you see people do quite a lot you’ll have like a a different kind of color of wood underneath the underneath the surface and then it kind of the dryer bits of wood kind of up here but anyway moving

On from that we have ourselves a little bit of loot here I’ve got a whole bunch of stuff now we have more than the stack of raw Cod plenty of salmon a lot of puffer fish all of which is going to be very useful as I said for potions of

Water breathing a few tropical fish which are fun for feeding cats or maybe decoration the main thing we need to get to here is these items for a start I fished up a bow which had all three of these enchantments on it to begin with so anytime you fish up an enchanted item

It’s basically enchanted to the equivalent of getting a level 30 in an enchantment table so it will have multiple enchantments on they will usually be pretty good occasionally you’ll get a bow that just has like power three or punch1 or something on it but this one here has flame and punch

One as well as unbreaking and our bow currently only has unbreaking 3 and power 4 so if we wanted to combine those two we could get flame and punch on this bow right now I don’t plan on doing that but that is definitely a good option to

Have also we got this fishing rod earlier since then I have acquired one more fishing rod and this one is very special and also a bit of a problem because it has both mending and cursive vanishing let’s talk a little bit about mending for a second because we haven’t

Really covered this in a previous video but it is something you hear Minecrafters talk about a lot when it comes to enchanting their tools mending is an incredible enchantment which allows you to instead of having to repair tools in an anvil each time you gain experience if you are holding or

Wearing that item the experience will actually refill the durability so you won’t get experienced to add towards your green level bar at the bottom there but you will actually get experience which refills the durability of an item and by using mending and an experienced farm or maybe an activity which acquires

You experience like fishing you can basically prolong the lifespan of a tool indefinitely that tool will last you forever as long as you don’t misuse it by exact for example by like right-clicking with a fishing rod on a block so that it wastes the durability like I showed you before mending will

Allow you to basically top-up the durability of a fishing rod every time you use it in nation with unbreaking which sometimes means items don’t take a hit of durability it basically allows a tool to last for as long as you plan to you ever use it the thing about mending is it’s a

Get into villager trading once we have found a village at another point in future but mending on a fishing rod is going to be an incredibly useful thing because it allows you to use that fishing rod indefinitely however the other enchantment on this rod is cursive vanishing there are two curse

Enchantments in the game a cursive vanishing and curse of binding cursive binding is typically applies to a piece of armour and once you equip that piece of armor you are never able to take it off until either the armour wears out or you die with cursive vanishing if you

Die that piece of equipment is lost forever if it was in your inventory when you die it will no longer be available to you when you return to the point at which you died and collect all of the items that you dropped when you died the fishing rod will have vanished

Completely so we are left with a dilemma should we now apply the mending and cursive vanishing to this fishing rod there is no way of separating these two enchantments so it’s gonna be both or neither should we add mending and curse of vanishing to this fishing rod

Allowing us to use the fishing rod indefinitely or should we not I’m going to leave that up to you there’s going to be a poll on the screen and the icons in the top right corner of this video should we combine these two fishing rods to get mending a curse of vanishing
