Hello everybody my name is Marlo today I’m gonna show you how to build my ultimate nether base for Minecraft 1.16 which should have everything you could need in survival a storage room enchanting area various crafting blocks brewing station furnaces for smelting and even a fully automatic food source This right here is your materials list everything inside of this chest plus my inventory down here are all of the items needed to create this base now I’ve separated them up into different groups just so it’s a little bit easier to understand so in the top portion of this Chest up here the polished black stone the nether bricks the walked blocks the polished basalt and these four along here are the main building blocks needed for this base so make sure you gather all of these together down in the bottom right hand corner we have some normal Black stone and some cracked polished black stone bricks and cracked and nether bricks these are in case you want to add some texture to your build to make it look a little bit more interesting so if you want to do that go ahead if not just leave them out over Here in the bottom left hand corner we have some other useful items fire resistance we are in the nether after all so make sure you bring some of these along of course some flint and steel to light your portal a bow to shoot some gas golden helmet or any other golden Armor piece if you run into some big lens and scaffolding to make the building process a little bit easier and then down here in my inventory all of the blocks needed for the different elements inside of the base so everything on the interior is right here In my inventory I will say these eggs are for the automatic chicken cooker maybe bring more than 16 so you can get have a better chance of getting some chickens actually into the nether and possibly some seeds as well if you want to breed them up first things first You’re gonna need to find yourself a reasonably sized lava pool and then to begin with we can grab our obsidian and make ourself a 3×3 portal here gonna fill in our corners cuz why not so we’re gonna wrap that all the way around 3×3 in the center we can like that whenever I’m gonna leave it for now but then what we can do is place a single scaffolding block in the center and then go out by 21 more opening block so one two three all the way to 21 I’d recommend getting your noob juice out for this next part Because you’re most likely gonna need to jump into the lava at some point or you could fall in like I’ve done here but we’re going to be placing some blocks on the lava level here so surface with all of the lava blocks we’re gonna make this shape right here consisting of nether Bricks basalt and polish black stone and once you’ve got that laid out you can then fill it all in with black stone bricks once you’ve done that you can go ahead and get rid of your scaffolding bridge and we’re gonna start work on the actual bridge before we begin with base So we want to grab our nether brick slabs and from the bottom part of this portal go one two three and four blocks temporary block there with a nether brick stare on top we can get rid of them as we go and then we’re gonna have One two three more slabs same again temp block with a stair on top and then we’re gonna do that over here and then in the middle we should just be left with one two three spaces for some more slabs and then we can extend them by one on either Side to make a three wide pathway leaving you with something like this the next step is to grab your polish black stone brick stairs and then we want to add three upside-down stairs on each of the slabs so along here one two three one two three one two three one two Three and in here one two three and leave that one for now and copy it on over this side too we are now gonna add in all of our Polish basalt pillars which are going in between the black stone stairs here so what I’m gonna recommend you do is take a fire Resistance potion grab some temporary blocks and then drop down to the bottom of the lava pool here may take a while but then you can start placing some blocks blindly and get up to the surface level and break away that block and then we can place down our pillars so that They’re one higher than the stairs in front of them and you should now have something like this so the next thing to do is grab your walk fences and warp stairs and on top of all of the upside down black stone stairs we have here we Want to have a line of fences on both sides and then on top of all of our basalt pillars we can have some warp stairs facing outwards not on top of these blocks though however just leave them as they are for now that right there is the Bridge leading to the base all done we can now start on the main structure over here the first thing to do is extend all of our basalt pillars here up by four more blocks so all of the ones we’ve already marked down just bring them up By four more we’re now gonna work on all of these four corners which are identical so I’ll just show you how to do one of them and you can copy them on over so to begin with we’re gonna have one two three four nether bricks and on Top of those we’ll have four polished black stone bricks going all the way up so one two three and four then we can grab our nether brick stairs and have an upside-down one in the center of the to four blocks black stone stair I am bar upside down black stone stair Regular black stone stair and then same again over here so normal stair iron bars upside down normal again so we have something like this then we can come up to the top here and on all of these four blocks we can have a black stones they’re facing inwards and then an Upside down one on the back of all of those and then on top of those blocks we can have a black stone war with a nether brick fence on top making it look very spiky and very ominous looking I really like that touch once you have all of Your corners in place you can then come to the front of the base here and then we’re gonna have to chisel nether brick just beside the basalt pillars here another brick stair in the middle nether brick wall on each of those blocks with a nether brick fence above it upside Down nether brick stair with a slab in the center and then we can come to the back here and we’re basically gonna put a ring of black stone going all the way around and then in the center of that we can have a warped door as for the other Three sides here we’re going to be doing a very similar thing so we need to chiseled nether brick stair in the center and then one two three four nether brick blocks with an upside-down stair at the top and then to warp fences in the center and copy that over here And here as well awesome this is coming along very hopefully you guys are following along okay so now the next step is to come up to the top level here and on each of the corners we’re gonna have one two three four five six seven eight nine nether Brick slabs and then we want to stand on this platform here and place a nether brick stare on each of those blocks facing towards us very important and we want to bend them round to the side so we get something like this and then copy over one two three more times after You’ve done all that you then want to grab your warp stairs and place them on top of the basalt pillars here with three slabs in the center and a line of horizontal basalt pillows going across like that we can then do the same on the other sides which is virtually the same Thing so we’ll still have the horizontal pillars two stairs three slabs the only thing that’s different is we want to have two upside down stairs facing inwards on the three sides that isn’t the main entrance way now we can start work on the second level which is going To be the storage room so on the corner blocks here all of these remaining nether brick slabs we want to have one two three four and five basalt pillars on top of each of those and then on top of those blocks we want to have a warp Slab just plot that on the top there and then connecting these guys up we want to have a warp stair slab stair slab and stair and do the same on the other three sides just like that for the rest of the roof we want to have to warp slabs Coming in from the center of each of those stairs we just placed with a shroom light in the middle and the trapdoor on top and then in these four remaining corners we can just have four of the black stone brick slabs just like that next up you can step inside of this Square we’ve just made and why I want you to do on all of the four sides is have three upside-down nether brick stairs with one two three and four chiseled nether brick blocks in each of those corners here so two here two there three stairs in the middle same way Where for these two sides as well then head over to the back of the base so the opposite side to our main doorway here and for this next part we’re actually gonna be making some use out the new 1.16 wall mechanics in the way that you are essentially able to make vertical Slabs as you can see it adds a very small amount of depth to your build and is a really neat little feature so we want to fill all the sim with those walls and then we’re gonna have to walk fences connecting them up just like that And we’re doing a very similar thing on the other three sides just without the fences so wall here three at the top another one on the side and three more at the bottom with one in the center and then the remaining two blocks can become iron bars so we get something like that And copy over two more times there is just one more thing to do before we can call the main structure fully complete and that is to add a fence on the top of the two basalt pillars here with a sole Lantern just below it so that’s on the Main entrance here we can then do it on the other three sides and that made its and gentlemen is the outside of the base all done we’re now ready to head inside and start work on the interior the first thing we’re gonna do is just generally Smooth things out a little bit in here because it’s quite a mess at the moment so the first thing we can do is add three black stone brick stairs just by our entranceway here so we didn’t have to jump to actually exit outwards and then what we’re gonna do on this Horizontal basalt pillar is have an upside-down warp stair with another one just below it and then we can do that seven more times going all the way around and then what we want to do is come up to the top of this stair here and add a ring of warp slabs going all The way around connecting up to the first one we just placed and then we’re going to place down eight nether brick slabs to make another smaller ring in the center we can then come to the center of the base here so line yourself up with the fences and the Door and break this block here but do remember we are overlap it here so you might want to just bring a fire resistance potion or just be careful with what you’re doing but we want to then have a ring of blank stone stairs going all the way around connecting up just like that Shrim light in the center respawn anchor above that one which you will have to load with glowstone blocks and then we just want to add some twisting vines going all the way up to the second floor the only thing we need to do up here for Now is to remove this slab next the trim light and replace it with an upside down stare instead just looks a little bit better that way in my opinion but I have just thought before we go any further with the interior now would be a good Time to add in texture if you want so if you would like to make this look a little bit more interesting you can just replace a few of these blocks here and there with your black stone and nether brick variants so do this as much or as Little as you want it is entirely up to you as I always say or you can just skip this thing entirely but as you can see in my opinion I would say that looks better than that there we go I would say that is a good improvement and of course don’t forget To do it a little bit on the insight too so the next thing we have to do is get rid of these blocks here surrounding these stairs we’ve just placed around our respawn anchor and this is where we’re gonna place our furnaces so we want to have a smoker in each of the Corners we are using all of the furnace types here because it can be helpful blast furnace in the center and then a regular furnace in the other eight gaps that’s probably the one you’re going to use the most so make sense to have eight of them compared to four heading up to The second level now we’re using our twisting vines to do that we’re gonna face the fence gates here and do a 180 and place an enderchest on this block here we’re gonna have a normal one above and below it just like that with two double ones on either side or three Double ones sorry I apparently cannot count so we have that on this wall here and then we’re gonna place the rest with double chests just make sure you’re not shifting and making single ones so we should have something like that on this side and we can do the same over here Real quick I would imagine this is plenty of storage for you you could always expand if you really needed to could always have some more over here if need be but then we’re just gonna label them with some item frames so you can see what is inside all of your chest I do just want to mention these fence gates are safe from gas they can’t see you through them so you didn’t have to worry about getting shot just make sure there’s none there before you open it up all that we really have left to do is fill up these four corners here with Various survival elements so it doesn’t really matter which order you do them in but I have my crafting supplies here so any of the blocks that are going to be helpful for different types of crafting I’m gonna put on the right hand side of the doorway over here so we’re just Gonna put a crafting bench cartographers table smithing table loom fletching table doesn’t currently have a use at the moment by I think it will at some point in the future and then we can just put two stone cutters here for well symmetry you don’t actually need to but Looks a little bit better I think on the left hand side of the doorway is where we’re gonna put some of our brewing stands so the first thing to do is break these four blocks here which will not have these blocks they will instead have lava that you’ll need to fill in with Instead so I’ve just skipped that step but we’re gonna play some chess on top of those get rid of this block – see this is what you have instead and place some slabs just to make full blocks and then we’re gonna have to upside down warp stairs fill the rest in with some Brewing stands then we can also have a flower pot in the center exchange that for a crimson fungus get rid of that and then on these two blocks here we can break those and replace them with some soul sand growing some nether wart in here and then the final thing Coldren on This one fill it with a water bucket it’s a little bit weird to have water in the nether but obviously that happens if you try and place it down normally so has to be in a cauldron real quick one very small thing I did forget is all of Our nether Rick fences with solar lanterns just below so on the basalt pillows here where I’m placing them we can have a nether brick fence on the top one solar Lantern just below going all the way around for a total of eight okay so the following two corners are not Quite as simple as the previous two we actually have to do a little bit of work before we can start placing blocks so we need to get rid of these nine blocks here on the surface and obviously below that is a bunch of lava Which we need to get rid of and create a work area that looks like this now I’ve used stone blocks here so you can clearly see how big this area is and you can counter up so get all this done for both of the sides and then we can start Building by the way a good trick to getting rid of lava is to use gravel or some of the block that is affected by gravity and bridgely fill up an area and then get rid of it afterwards we’re gonna do the enchanting area first and focus on the chicken cook alas so to Begin with we need to come to one of the sides here I’m picking the left-hand side and go to the center block for any block below the enchanting table just make sure it’s in the center of the room here so with the middle of the 3×3 hole We had before that’s where it is and then we can actually hop down here and the first thing we’re gonna do is break this top block or the second one doesn’t really matter and replace it with a bookshelf now if you’re playing in pure vanilla with nothing different about it This will actually catch fire and burn and what you can do to stop that happening just press T and it will open up your chats and then you can type in slash game rule do fire tick false just like I have down there at the bottom and Now stuff will not burn in Minecraft I know probably a lot of you already have that set but just in case you didn’t now you know it’s very helpful so what we can then do is surround our enchanting table with barrels here on the floor and Then we’re gonna place in the rest of our bookshelf so we want to have one two three four over here next to the smoker and then we’re gonna make two u shapes on this side so one two three and then two above it a U shape and do the same Over here too once you’ve done that you can head back down to the bottom here and get rid of this block holding back the lava and replace it with a shroom light so we can light this place up a little bit and then in front of those we’re gonna have our grindstone and Anvil just like that and above those we’re gonna replace the full block with a nether brick stare be careful with the lava doesn’t flow in before you can place it down and then we’re gonna get rid of these two temporary blocks and actually replace them with the polished Basalt because that looks a little bit better than just having whatever you did beforehand and then over here we’re going to have to polish black stone bricks we’re gonna have a stare facing this way that you can actually hop up on and then two more facing into the smoker just Like that and now you should be able to climb up pretty easily by get up pretty easily I must have meant smack my head on the lantern several times cuz that’s what I did but as you can see if you just hold shift you can actually Crouch Under it and get up very easily so there’s that but anyway let’s move on to the final segment the last corner where we’re gonna build our automatic chicken cooker now those of you who know me well you will be aware of the fact that I am NOT a redstone err I don’t often mess around with this stuff I’m more of a builder by any stretch of the imagination redstone is not my thing but I have actually designed this farm myself mainly because I couldn’t find one that worked with the dimensions I had so this isn’t revolutionary it Simply just works with the shape of the build that I went with so let’s hop down and we can place two redstone dust below the center nether brick block here and then we’re gonna crouch up next to the side a bit and place an observer facing downwards so we get that arrow pointing Towards the redstone and the observer face on the top there we can do the same on this side just like that so arrow and observe a face and on top of the observer we can have a redstone comparator with a piston just faced place on the side of the Observer block we can then come to the corner here where the two dispensers meet and place a barrel here and a barrel there and then just pick one of the barrels for the hopper to go into and then on top of the hopper we can place a daylight detector underneath the Two dispensers we can place a solid block so the signal is actually transferred through and then going into both of the dispensers we can have two hoppers just like that and on top of the barrels here we can have two black stained glass and then you can get your lava bucket And place it on that block right there and then you can get some nether bricks and go one two three four do on this spot as well as well as the corner try not to fall into the lava well I think about it you should also probably cover The top of that up with another black stained glass and then we can get our walk trapdoors and place down one of them occupying the same block as that hopper there another one over this side too with another one on top of it inside of that is where Your chickens are gonna be going which I would recommend maybe just creating like a little area so they can’t jump out very easily and then you can just click away and preferably not into a block and have it down like that into the center would probably be better but yeah just Keep doing this until you get as many chickens as you want once you have a satisfactory amount of chickens you can enclose the trap door on them enslaving them for life and replace these three blocks here with some nether brick slabs and get rid of this one and I don’t Think that looks too hideously ugly for a redstone farm in my opinion but we’re not quite done yet we just want to fill in this little bit here with some black stone bricks going all the way up and also replace that one at the bottom right there and then we just want to Smooth out a little bit by placing some stairs here just like that to create this shape and then the final thing to do is to head down to the bottom here and obviously in this barrel is where all of your cooked chicken and feathers is gonna go or this one depending on Which one you fed it into but we’re gonna place a ladder down here with a trapdoor on that block there just so you can actually get up and down if you happen to fall in but you should be able to access it from up here pretty simply There is one thing you may be thinking or hearing I guess I should say and that is the constant clucking going on in the background now there’s two ways you can deal with that option a just build something else entirely and don’t have live chickens in Your base or option B the simpler option go to options music and sounds and turn down friendly creatures so that everybody is the ultimate 1.16 another bass fully complete I really hope you did enjoy this video thank you ever so much for watching it if you are new
