Let’s Play Minecraft Hardcore | Defending my Castle from a RAID

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of my hardcore let’s play villagers it’s almost time I have been spending some time off camera and kind of in live stream a little bit preparing the walls so what do I mean by that I have as you can see edited a

Couple of things I’ve solidified our traps I’ve added areas like this where we can pick up arrows or we could pick up potions and things that we may need in battle I’ve added little areas like you can see right there with targets these will have potions line of potions

Spawns out of the earth killing our enemies right very important very important I am just in general trying to make it as easy as possible for us to potentially defend this place because well it’s almost time look at this this wall right here connects easily to our Castle villagers

Can’t jump over in the spot but I can easily pop up and once again we have another potion dispensing area along this lovely path this path takes us to the Sheep pen which we are familiar with and I built another tree because I wanted to we also have this little

Button right here and this is the button that now triggers the Trap so watch ready something’s coming along our path we Boop the button nothing happens there’s been a flaw in my plan redstone repeater to save the day okay and we Boop the button now and Brilliant we can watch the floor

Fall away and our enemies fall with it so perfect all it needed is repeat her I know how to do redstone I I need to reset this now it doesn’t hurt too much I’m fine ouch so this trap right here I have one on this side and one on the other side and

I’ll just show you it has connected up to the Spencers that have potions of lingering I discovered that these dispensers can shoot potions of lingering through a solid block which means the potion will still be up here on the ground even though the Redstone wiring is almost entirely hidden and I

Could do something more clever with the target I suppose but I was lazy it’s fine you also May notice that this area is now pretty well complete we’ve got all of these little decorations we’ve got excess up and down into these areas along these walls this one has little

Areas in here like this where we can pick up arrows crossbow Shields whatever we’re needing in battle and we can access all along this wall should make fighting a little bit easier I hope and in general I just had a lot of fun like decorating this it looks a lot more

Official and just better as a castle look at this we can come up here I don’t have enough ladder blocks but we can come up here it’s fine I I won’t need to go up there Pierre why are you inspecting my Redstone work I did a good job you don’t

Need to it’s fine I got it I would love to talk to all of you about my War plans but my War planning room is looking a little eh so let’s get to work let’s decorate this room what does a war planning room need first thing we need

Is knowledge taken from within the depths of the stronghold this should give us the best amount of resources for our war planning room I want this room to feel very epic we definitely need lots and lots of knowledge in this area so much wisdom there’s so much to learn from in the

More ancient parts of this world such as the stronghold where I got these books so that’s kind of the vibe that I’m going for here with lining the walls with a few of these shelves and I just feel like the pillars do a really good job of bordering it so

That’s why I’m going with those hello Pearl are you enjoying this room so far I’m really liking it so I’m trying to set up some of these shelves around here oh not quite like that and we can have different items on them maybe that we find throughout the world and it’ll just

Be like a really good no it’ll it’ll just be a really good place to store some of our belongings no it is so hard to get anything done around here and just to stop that from happening we’ll do some fences that are decorative sort of I always have such a good time

Decorating areas like this and I cannot wait until there’s stuff like candles in the game and the other items that come in the new update it’s gonna be so good but yeah I just wanted to put down some like touches of color in the rugs I’m

Gonna put like a molding around here I think with some of the spruce wood and we also have room of course for a few paintings on the wall maybe a big one oh I kind of hate that it’s not it’s ugh okay let’s do let’s do a tall one there we go

That’s kind of nice all under control up here nobody panic I got it and with that the war planning room is officially complete this world has existed for a very long time we’re on day 533 of this world that’s a while in a hardcore world

And we’ve done a lot and you know what we’ve had an enemy this entire time haven’t we everyone pillagers our enemy and and we’ve been getting ready for a war it is the entire purpose of this Castle I’ve been protecting these villagers with my own life for 533 days today

I’m going to declare war with our enemies it’s time I feel as though we are ready to fight we’re in good fighting order everybody is healed up everybody knows the drill with heading to their houses we’re ready so everyone it’s time to Prime the traps get the arrows ready the dogs are ready

The target everybody’s practicing with their arrows and stuff nobody’s gonna walk off a building while I’m fighting we’re good we’re gonna be good it’s gonna be great there are a lot of things that I need to do to get ready first of all I have some TNT that I

Never used which I think we’re definitely going to set some traps with I’m also going to trade some emeralds for some more arrows and also some more food to make sure I’m good I have all my golden apples on me and I’m gonna go down in the potion lab and Brew up some

Potions now alright I’ve spent a little bit of time hyping up our iron golems and getting things ready in general let me show you what I’ve worked on the main thing and my main worry is that the raid can approach from this side and this is a side

Dandy what are you doing everybody okay if they approach from this side it will be much harder to see them we still have this old piece of wall here I’m not mad at it I think we can defeat the raid without fixing this wall but it’s not an ideal wall so I’ve

Created some landmines right if you step on these a piece of TNT will explode and hit you in the face the TNT has water below it so it won’t actually blow up the land you’ll just take slightly reduced damage from the explosion I’ve also gone ahead and put a bunch of

Berries along the back these will help because it’ll mean that the Raiders won’t come way up against the wall and make it so that I can’t really shoot them very easily I’ve added the snowmen to their turrets and they’re doing great I don’t expect them to be overly helpful

But it’s better than nothing I figure if the Raiders do happen to make it inside the castle or if they just simply spawn inside of here which I hope they won’t but if they do we have tons of iron golems in here the Iron Golems are going

To be like my backup throughout this entire battle and I’m gonna need them I’ve also gone ahead down here on the docks and gotten rid of that pressure plate that everyone was worried about now when Raiders come they can’t get in so it’s all good I’ve also been experimenting with various types of

Other weapons so I’m gonna go ahead and enchant my crossbow I’ve never really used a crossbow before but I really like the look of them so I’m gonna see what we get and see if it’s anything that we can potentially use in this battle Unbreaking and piercing fair enough I guess

I like the look of this I could definitely get used to it right okay let’s combine these Unbreaking three piercing four and Quick Charge not the best crossbow in the world but I’ll make it work so excited at the prospect of actually using this Castle to fight I’ve spent so many days

At this point building it up and building it up and building it up making sure that it is absolutely perfect for all of these villagers In This Moment I get to take one more look at it make sure that everything is exactly where it should be and then

I’m gonna go pick a fight with some pillagers when I come back there’s gonna be a war and it’s gonna be epic I’m so excited Irene did you hear going off into battle I’m gonna keep you safe I’m gonna defeat our long-term enemy in this world Lilith Eugene

We’re gonna have a battle You’re Gonna Keep everyone safe right Lilith I have enough going on without you eating yourself off of things how did this is only three blocks how did you even manage to take damage get down sorry that wasn’t a threat

What are you it did not occur to me that they would try that okay they shouldn’t be able to get up there anymore but right Barbara we’re gonna keep everyone safe okay everyone time I’m gonna go scope out the land now and figure out where the base of our

Enemies is once I find them I’m gonna pick a fight and I’m gonna return and hopefully I’ll be the hero of this Village it’s gonna be fun though let’s let’s go see I have located the enemy’s Fortress oh my goodness it’s scary here what the heck they’ve been rallying their troops too

We’ve been building a castle and we’ve only ever seen like four or five of them but this is an army this is a whole entire Army I can see one of their leaders over there that’s an important one will you take me to your leader you don’t appear to be very interested

In conversation you’ve been sending patrols to my castle and it threatens my villagers we need to stop I can see that this is not going very well okay okay okay I’ll do negotiations later Excuse me yes I’m just here to talk about a potential War

I do have a lot of questions about the intelligence of these creatures I think I’ve started an internal War [Laughter] ah this will be fine totally easy I got it it’s all under control look at him I’m here for your captain don’t care for the rest of you peasants got em

And with that we have bad Omen level five here’s the thing when I enter my castle my amazing Village behind me and I greet my villagers it could potentially be the last time because I am about to trigger a very horrible raid but if I succeed I’ll be the hero of the village

And it’ll be an amazing day and we will have accomplished an awesome goal that I’ve never done before in Hardcore Minecraft so I think it’s worth a shot let’s go enter the village and begin this raid right here we go the raid bar is loading up the villagers are

Panicking the Bell is ringing oh no listen for the horn the horn came from this way okay oh the very first wave shouldn’t be too bad but it is coming from this direction which I think honestly should be okay yeah look at this snowmen are working

I don’t want to trigger the Trap yet I want to save that for ravengers but this is pretty cool right look at that they’re actually held up with the snowmen on top of that they are also getting hurt by the berries it’s perfect my plan is working

I’m getting pretty low on arrows so I’m gonna run in here and grab a few that I had left behind my slowness ones too okay I hired some help I have enough of my inventory for another one if I need it but for now one will do there is one

Raider remaining and I can’t seem to locate them but if I ring the bell they should show up this one Raider remaining isn’t showing up when I ring the bell which is tragic to be honest um they aren’t anywhere that I could see those so I suppose I got top down and go

Take a look oh buddy you have a raid to fight you know you know that there’s like there’s a castle here that I you’re meant to be attacking me the whole idea of this bit like the goal of the world is that your people are fighting my people

You’re making this really difficult to be honest but oh thank you okay well decide again okay our Iron Golem is helping so much actually thank goodness thank you buddy oh the TNT went off my iron golem buddy is hurting so I’m gonna jump down and heal him

Afraid of um it’s gonna be a lot harder from the back my landmines are going off oh my gosh okay that’s good at least some of them are dying to themselves granted but at least my traps are working oh they’re on the sheep pen they’re really exploding a bunch of my

Landmines I would appreciate it if you uh backed off a little bit you know oh I’ve gotten myself into quite a predicament here haven’t I excuse me excuse me thank you thank you these are my castle walls okay one Raider remaining oh they’re on the roof

It’s a becoming night time at my current only enemy remaining is stuck on my sheep’s pen so I’m gonna take this Advantage heal my lovely iron golem and have a nap on the battlefield maybe this is frowned upon an actual battle but in my world having a nap mid

Battle is like Perfect all right Vindicator time for a taste of your own medicine I kind of suck with a bow though I’m not gonna lie to you okay perfect oh next raid is coming oh my gosh so far it’s only been on one side which I’m not mad about

Okay it seems like a trap has indeed been triggered that’s good I suppose um excuse me oh there’s a witch oh we’ve Gotta Kill The Witch I’m gonna kill the witch ASAP two witches three witches oh that’s just excessive come on now this is super op I

Can’t believe I was even worried about this look at this Tower it’s epic it’s actually working we’re ready for the next wave okay villagers I’m doing it I’m doing it hello oh I didn’t really mean to jump down here this is I’m dying in my own trap

Hello yes I would firmly like to not be out here this was a mistake actually I an error in judgment on my part to be on this side of the battlefield this happens to be your side I do in fact recognize that um just having a little trouble getting

Back home at the minute not gonna lie to you it’s fine though I could pick off these stragglers just fine oh I do appear to be getting a little low on arrows no thank you no thank you okay seems like everybody else is stuck at the

Castle wall which I’m not too mad about I do want to make sure that we got that evoker though and it looks like they’re right there they are the Dangerous Ones look at them taking damage on the bushes it’s perfect I did it oh my gosh I’m actually doing it

Hey come here you oh you kind of hurt my iron golem died which is not great let me hire some more help there you go I need your help buddy okay we’re being we’re under attack it’s very important you’re on the roof again never mind maybe it’s not that important actually I

I lied excuse me Excuse excuse me why does nobody around here respect me Okay it’s from the front of the castle again I can hear it I love that the horn tells you where they’re coming from okay good news and bad news bad news this is a really horrible side of the castle to be fighting on good news no ravenger and a red sheep

Seems manageable to be honest hold on I have the perfect solution for this I have poison potions of lingering these will be perfect just one quick throw there we go wait are you guys immune to poison since when okay I did it gosh this is so much fun I 10 out of 10

Recommend this if you haven’t done this before I am having a blast it’s okay villagers you know the drill go home go home here look we’re fine we’re fine oh that was from this side oh dear oh dear okay it’s fine let’s go assess the damage okay not I excuse me excuse me

In my own castle you are so rude ouch you hurt what the heck vex how dare they oh dear okay I’m gonna call on some poison okay the road is now poisoned which should hopefully help oh stop spawning facts no no don’t knock me off don’t knock me off fine I’m all good

Stop that stop that right now facts hate facts and they won’t stop spawning until they get to their source it’s very unfortunate stop that you little fairies I thought I would feel so threatened by fairies there is half of a raid somewhere and a totem

But it’s the half of a raid bar that I’m I’m mostly concerned about at the minute I’m not gonna lie to you two totems though where are they oh okay maybe there was ravengers this is just a ravager though I can handle that that’s fine this is fine you’re not fine not fine

Not fine not fine at all actually I take it back oh I do not like you I need to kill that evoker get away from me Vex I know I threaten your leader but still rude so incredibly rude oh no I’m getting kind of low I’m gonna eat a

Potion or sorry an apple I can’t even speak oh no no no no no the Vex should despawn within like 30 seconds after their Master is gone I think oh my gosh I’m getting kind of low I’m kind of low fine though it’s fine oh my goodness

I did it huh okay there’s another way of coming but I’m hopping down to get the totem That’s it villagers ring the bell ring the bell oh my heck okay oh my gosh no Vex please I’m so done with the Vex oh gosh oh my goodness oh my goodness oh my goodness they’re so evil how dare they Honestly though ouch ouch ouch y’all hurt

Stop that no no no no no no no no no no no no no I have regen on but it’s not really working fast enough stop that stop that stop that I need a better Vex proofing strategy and I’m not sure what it is there would appear to be quite a few

Spawning in so it’s a healing session for my villagers these Vex are an absolute nightmare oh that one has a bees fire aspect sword on a Vex how incredibly rude to be honest thank you Iron Golem thank you thank you I have to try to get to the root of the problem you

How dare you you’re spawning so many stop it okay okay it’s fine it’s fine Golden Apple Golden Apple it’s fine I can handle this this is nothing that I can’t handle I killed one of ocher they should at least half the spawning of them now right right

Look at this Army oh I’m so glad that I have this Army all right real quick another poison I know there’s so many Vex around me but I have to try to do some damage to the actual enemies okay the Vex are becoming too much the Vex are too much geez

Okay I’m just doing it in rounds and I’m letting my iron golem kind of take some of the pressure off of me which I’m enjoying oh my gosh there must still be an evoker down there there is how do I get to it It’s all the way back there can I kill it I got it I got it Iron Golems I got it oh thank goodness this wave has been by far the hardest so far this is a lot to take on there’s still Vex out there how are there still Vex out there

One Raider remaining and it’s that ravenger oh my goodness this has been so stressful jeez buddy your team is a lot you know that really stressing me out really mean you’re really mean I don’t like you oh I survived villagers survived look at the fireworks Oliver Irene I did it oh my goodness

I’m so proud Thank you for the fireworks Village and look at that oh my goodness is everybody okay is everybody okay Alfred you’re okay Barbara you’re fine I did it Irene Athena Edna I did it Walter I beat the raid I defeated our enemy I did the hardest

Raid that you could do I did it and it was really hard but the castle worked Pierre the castle worked they couldn’t get in they couldn’t get beyond the walls and although I didn’t use all my traps I’m glad that I had them I I did really like the potions and and the

Berries and I think that I think that a lot of it worked oh speaking of potions thank you it was so much fun and I can’t believe that I did it what a battle what an incredible battle a healing potion for all of you I think is in order and myself

We did so good villagers I don’t think anybody died everybody is absolutely fine I am the hero of the village so what that means is I get discounts for a little while which I probably will take advantage oh and also they’re throwing stuff at me I didn’t realize that they did that wait

Look each of them are throwing various items at me from their trades like leather and books and thank you villagers oh my goodness thank you look at this oh I want to collect all of these items so that I can keep them as keepsakes in the castle we’ve got totems of undying

Thank you villagers look at all this lapis emeralds I got saddles the leather I got books y’all are the best if you like there’s never been a better time to sit on my Throne the war went as planned that the raid happened and it was so much fun like and that’s the

Whole point is for it to be fun and for our Castle to have a purpose and a story and some form of lore and just just to have fun and I was really op I’m really well geared up and I had a lot of potions and a lot of traps and the

Pillager AI is not that great so like they didn’t need all the traps but it was still so much fun I recommend anybody doing that it doesn’t even have to be a level five raid like a level one raid is still fun honestly if you have a village or a castle or anything

Definitely trigger a raid and see if you can defend it what an amazing adventure we did truly get very low on arrows though because my aim is just trash I have emptied every chest of arrows in the general vicinity of this entire Castle so we’re in need of a restock but

Still we did have enough so that means that I stocked as well and I’m proud of that milky did you hear the news we won the war milky we won we won we did it ah and it was so fantastic I’m surprised at the spawning pattern of the

Pillagers was mostly in this area which is really interesting because that adds a lot to the lore of this Castle in general because they were spawning mostly from the dark oak forest they weren’t spawning over here in the plains or towards the water or these planes they came lurking out of the forest

Which I find absolutely fascinating almost sort of in the direction of our Dragon egg there’s definitely a story there if I do say so myself but anyways this was fantastic it’s so much fun so much Adventure probably the best time that I’ve had in Minecraft in a very

Long time dogs I didn’t even need you I appreciate your support though I wouldn’t have wanted to see you die anyways um it would have been tragic and with that everyone I do believe that that is all the time that I have for today’s episode and oh boy was it an action-packed one

It was such a fun adventure today I loved it and I hope that you do too now listen I have something very important to say I have just completed my main goal in this world that was the only thing that I really wanted to do that I have left but that

Doesn’t mean that I have nothing left to do in this world we have to fight the Wither we’ve never gone to a woodland mansion and you know there’s just some general farms and things that we don’t have and some other build possibilities that could happen however there is a new update coming to

Minecraft so I propose that I update this world and that I don’t get rid of it because I didn’t die so why would I get rid of it I didn’t I literally didn’t die and my villagers are still trying to leave nothing ever changes however to expand on the point that I’m

Trying to make um I I have a new series starting and so I don’t think that I’m going to do hardcore as a regular weekly series anymore this world is still going to exist I’m still going to probably stream from it occasionally I’m just not going

To be making weekly episodes on it at least for the time being and I know that that sucks for some of you but I have some really big projects coming up and I also have my graduation coming up and I just want to focus my full heart and

Attention into these new adventures so this adventure is temporarily coming to a close although this is not the finale of the world and I don’t know if I ever want to do anything that would cause this to be the end of the world because I I really like this world and all of

Its 530 something days so I’m gonna be careful and cautious and I’m gonna live stream from this world and work on more projects and yeah it’ll be amazing I hope that you’re able to understand that and that you’ll be excited about the new adventures and series that I

Have coming on the channel I’m so happy that I didn’t die in that raid I didn’t need to use my Escape tunnel and that we have even more story expanding from the fact that the pillagers came out of the Dark Forest and I’m excited to see where this world
