Looking at the Youtube analytics of my most viewed videos

Last 28 days of the girlfriend mod so you can see that it’s just been kind of trickling with views it’s getting like 400 500 views every single day and then sunday it went up 7 000 views because barry versus larry overtook and a bunch of you were like let’s make the

Girlfriend mod overtake again so seven thousand of you little cretins decided it’d be funny to watch the video and try and get it to overtake and then we generated 31 quid from our 40 000 views i suppose not too bad to be fair oh actually girlfriend mods eight minutes long

So it probably has mid-rolls now because youtube changed it so that videos don’t need to be ten minutes they only need to be eight minutes four mid roles so the revenue has probably gone up quite a bit so what i’m gonna do is i’m gonna change it to

Last 365 days and we can see that we’ve had 190 000 views in the last 365 days and that has equated to 144 quid and apparently we’ve gained 185 subscribers i don’t know who in their right mind would want to subscribe after watching that video but

Yeah obviously most of the views on this video they’re from way back in 2014 that’s when i got all the millions of views these days the people clicking on the video they’re just clicking on it to see the meme you know what i mean so let’s take a look at our lifetime data

Yeah there we go so you can see that all of our views were back in 2014 basically there was a period in time where this video was getting over 10 000 views a day and then it really trickled down after 2014 and then i’ve been getting just a few

Hundred views every single day since then apparently we gained 8 000 subscribers from it so that backs up what i said we were on 90 000 subscribers before this video came out and that’s what got us to 100k that’s depressing on unfortunately we don’t get to see

Any of the data when this video got most of its views we only get data from 2016 onwards and that’s because i joined a youtube network in 2016. so we only get to see earnings from when i was in that network it seems really stupid so i honestly have no idea

How much the video made but what i will say is that because it was less than 10 minutes it won’t have been that much i’m guessing the video probably earned about a thousand pound which obviously a thousand pounds nice but that is spread over seven years

Now what i don’t like doing with the girlfriend mods analytics is taking a look at our traffic sources because we can see exactly what people searched in order to find this video so if we’re going to see more we can see all the data and this is where i absolutely hate

Back at my instagram whoa our channel was way smaller i thought it was all a bit weird i i couldn’t believe that my channel was that established when that terrible video came out so this is december 2013 and we had 30 000 subscribers and this is september 2013. 10 000 subscribers

And we hit 10 000 subscribers we had less than 10 000 subscribers when the girlfriend mod came out august 2013 one of our oldest pictures 5 000 subscribers so i had approximately 3 000 subs when the girlfriend mod was recorded that makes way more sense oh thank god the girlfriend mod is not

Responsible for this award everything feels so much better now all right now the juicy one how much money did the barry versus larry video make so this is a really good video in my opinion if you don’t know what happens so this was posted on the height of the pewdiepie versus t-series stuff

And it was a funny picture with a subscriber wall between a guy called larry and barry one out of one subscriber the other guy had zero subscribers so i thought it would be funny to start live streaming trying to get larry subscribers and i almost didn’t even upload the video

Because i didn’t think it was anything special but i’m very much glad that i did so this video is only six minutes long so it’s not eligible for mid rules so that will have basically halved how much money we could have made but because it’s got so many views

I think this will have still made a few thousand dollars let’s find out oh since published nearly 4 000 that’s an awful lot of money i’m very glad that i eventually did upload that video and apparently we also gained 35 000 subscribers from that video so that would have really made

A massive difference as well so this video instantly did well i think this was the fastest i’d ever got to a hundred thousand views it was just so so quick there you go you can see that in the first day it got to 232 000 which was record breaking on the

Jackson life channel at the time and basically the reason for that was because the day i released this t-series overtook a pewdiepie for the first time so so many people were searching pewdiepie versus t series and because at the time the video was called this is the new pewdiepie

Versus t series loads of people clicked on that video so you might notice the video is now called the new pewdiepie versus corkmelon that’s because one of you a couple of months ago said that i should rename it because potentially we’d get some more views and it would overtake the girlfriend mod

Which is exactly what happened so thanks to the people that suggested that but yeah this video did amazing and i’d never had a viral video like it you can see that by the end of the video we’ve gotten larry to 2 000 subscribers but now if you go to larry’s channel he

Has 276 000 subscribers and most of those are because of that one video so that was insane i i can remember being annoyed because at the time larry was getting so many subscribers that he actually got to 100k before my second channel did which is where the original live stream was recorded

Oh man it’s so weird to see the girlfriend mod in second place that’s proper weird what i also think is quite funny is even though they’ve got more or less identical views at the moment girlfriend mod has 29 000 likes barry versus larry has a 115 000 likes

So just shows one of those videos is terrible and did not deserve to be my most viewed video on the channel for seven years my god minecraft girlfriend one finally defeated remember 50 000 likes or the video gets deleted thank you very much for watching this video
